Captain Gloats is the understudy of Alloy Cuts’ mainstay Booty Haul, presumably for some hilarious “Haul & Gloats” puns in the not so distant future . Not much is known about Captain Gloats, other than he is a bit of dab hand at mashing up tracks and has an ear for what works on the dancefloor.

Ring My Cheque up mashes up Anita Ward’s “Ring My Bell” with The Beastie Boys classic “Ch-Check it Out” resulting in 4 minutes and 30 seconds of floor filling fun, with tongue firmly in cheek.

home studio based in their Liverpool flat, forthcoming album HISS was

The record sees the band coming full circle, triumphantly returning to the lofi
roots that began their journey. Traversing the subsequent ups and downs of indiepop stardom since their major label debut in 2017, the band have found
themselves most at home back where it all began "at the quiet, sentimental heart
of their delicately unfurling, midnight- hour- favouring songwriting magic, with
complete creative control."Of the cathartic nature of the undertaking, Halls says:
"HISS is as honest an album as I'll ever be able to make. It was winter 2020; the
whole world had ground to a halt, and the pain of being separated from pretty
much everything I love had begun to turn into music in my head."

Aussie beatsmith, Phries, returns with his third full length producer compilation LP, Hand Cut. This 2XLP aligns the talented producer with his stateside contemporaries such as Guilty Simpson, Phat Kat, The Artifacts and more. We also find Phries realigned with Mount Vernon’s Carta’ P, after previously collaborating together on their 2021 released, My Silence. Inspired by the likes of J Dilla, Pete Rock and Madlib, Phries utilizes sample-based production, coupled with thick bass lines and smacking drums, to create a body of work that epitomizes hip-hop in its purest form. To boot, all source material used throughout the album are from records that Phries discovered at local record shops in his native Perth. Tr One drops ‘Fold’, a rousing house track, led by insistent piano keys and tough drums, while on ‘Crash2’, Lerosa delivers a wonderfully sub-aquatic electro-techno jam. Bringing the listener back to earth with a driving bass and powerful rhythm is Giles Armstrong’s ‘Deep is For Dopes!’

* In 1980 Gerald Moore - of G.T. Moore and the Reggae Guitars and Heron fame - was in Kingston, Jamaica working with Lee Perry on the `Return of Pipecock Jackxon’ LP. Gerald went into Harry J’s studio with James Lascelles (Global Village Trucking Company, The Breakfast Band) and Bud Beadle (Ginger Baker & Salt) alongside members of Zap Pow: Don Grant, Cornell Marshall and Dwight Pinkney.
* `Jerusalem’, a meditative and reflective track was one of four tunes recorded.
* Previously released on the `Harry J Sessions’ on Partial Records (PRTLLP001/CD001), this is the first time this cut of `Jerusalem’ appears on 45. Backed with a previously unreleased dub version, mixed by Dougie Wardrop direct from the master tapes.

Cut is an album by Dutch hard rock band Golden Earring, released in 1982. It is one of their most popular releases to date, as it contains the international hit “Twilight Zone”, written by guitarist/vocalist George Kooymans. “Twilight Zone” reached No. 1 in both the Netherlands and Billboard’s Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks, while also reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Can Love Be Synth are in love with old analogue machines and define their specific sound in the legendary Synthesizer Studio Hamburg. A synth collectors paradise hidden behind the big grey walls of a Bunker building and the club Uebel & Gefährlich between the Reeperbahn and Schanzenviertel district in Hamburg, Germany.

Their new song ‘Bunker’ is now available as a digital and vinyl release on A CLEAN CUT including fantastic remixes by Richard Fearless, Terr and quadratschulz.



The Bunker building is currently extended with a 54-meter-high superstructure for an ultra-violent instant gentrification. In the original version of the song the heavy blows of hammers are clearly audible. This sound journey from zen to noise is a beautifully shimmering ‘black hole made from music’, where implosion and explosion energetically meet. If it needed another reason for the clubs to reopen, this song would be the one - it is perfect for long nights and for days without light rays.

The A side is taken by two Roberto Rodriguez reworks, the first a sun-drenched soulful remix and secondly a classic percapella. On the flip, Ian Pooley gives two deep, late night interpretations of the original.

Cut A Lonely Figure is the (mostly) solo project of Blue Tapes founder David McNamee. Previous releases include Sugimoto Seascapes (Fractal Meat Cuts), Rothko Horizons (Bloxham Tapes), and In Sea, In Circles, In Concrete (Pan y Rosas Discos).

For this release, recorded at home during Lockdown 1, 2020, Cut A Lonely Figure was: Sarah Angliss (theremin), Maria Marzaioli (violin), Rosie Reynolds (clarinet), Andrew Smith (saxophone), and David McNamee (everything else).

Introducing Cutcross, created to champion the melting pot of bass-centric sounds teetering around 140 bpm.
