You heard them first on Brown Acid “The Thirteenth Trip”. We are very excited to present to you the full unreleased recordings from this amazing band from Detroit. Master Danse was formed in late 1973 in Detroit, Michigan when drummer Tom Riss and bassist Cary Fletcher, formerly of the Detroit band Licking Stick, went looking for a new guitarist/lead vocalist and jammed with John Giaier, who had most recently played in the band Crawdad. The three musicians hit it off immediately, and a new power hard rock trio was born. In 1973, Detroit was clearly “Rock City”, featuring such local icons as Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Grand Funk Railroad, Ted Nugent, and Mitch Ryder, and the high energy punch of Master Danse reflected this proud heritage. Unfortunately, this union would only last one year, and by the end of 1974 the power rock trio known as Master Danse had disbanded. What was left for posterity were only two live reel to reel recordings and one promo 45 single. Some forty-seven years later, the 45 found its way onto the internet and a small cult following of audiophiles was born, people who appreciate the raw power and high energy of early ‘70s rock. Bands like Master Danse and others from this era were riding the wave of transition from the pop rock sound of the ‘60s to an edgier sound that would eventually lead to metal and punk music. With the help of modern-day tape restoration techniques, the two live recordings were restored, and together with the 45, the best versions of the eight songs that have survived the decades are featured on this album. Although recorded live forty-eight years ago on a two-track stereo tape recorder, you can still feel the power of Giaier’s Marshall stack, Fletcher’s twin Acoustic 360 amps, and the relentless attack of Riss’ Ludwig drums. So, sit back and enjoy. Rock on!

Then she gets her own TV shows and um, marries Elvis, and does a multi-night stand at the Paris Olympia where The Beatles are supporting HER! That world existed, it was early 1960s France, a marvellous, self contained world of music, film and art, where Vince Taylor was not a weird guy in leather pants who never really clicked with the kids,but the major star he was in his own head! And..Well, obviously, it wasn't really Elvis, but the French-World analogue Johnny Hallyday (handsome, good hair, and a great dancer!), so..in France it WAS!... But the hits? The TV shows? And the magazines and radio? Yes! Those really happened....and The Beatles did support her (and it was a big and lucky night in their career!)...Now, don't you wish we were there, in that world? A bizarro technicolor mix of....I don't know, Viva Las Vegas/HELP!/Les Demoiselles de Rochefort? I certainly do...or maybe pop this record on and let's pretend? Oh, I think so, yes...

Es war einmal eine Bande von Trollen aus dem dunklen Norden. Tief in den Höhlen der Wälder feierten sie die ganze Nacht lang zu ihren eigenen Melodien aus Flöten, Mandolinen und Akkordeons. Meistens umgaben sie sich mit Fleischkeulen und Metkrügen, aber sie mochten auch die eine oder andere Prinzessin. Obwohl sie ein paar faule Säcke waren, reisten sie durch das ganze Königreich, um ihre trollige Musik für die guten Leute zu spielen. Und schließlich, nach unzähligen Raubzügen, sind ihre Geschichten von Abenteuern, Missgeschicken und anderen Märchen nun zu ihrem Debütalbum "Der Var Engang..." geworden.Trold spielt Folk Metal mit einem verschmitzten Lächeln, der garantiert die Party in den großen, dunklen dänischen Wäldern anheizt. Bekannt für ihre Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Künstlern wie Iggy Pop, John Parish, Nick Cave oder Hugo Race, hat sich Catherine Graindorge mit dem Bassisten David Christophe und dem Schlagzeuger Elie Rabinovitch unter dem Namen Nile On Wax zusammengefunden. Die Musik des Trios lässt sich nicht klassifizieren, sie hat eine unverkennbare intensiv und nahezu neblige Identität. Eine Atmosphäre irgendwo zwischen Post-Rock, Jazz und Psychedelischen Sounds. Der Soundtrack für einen Western oder einen nächtlichen Stadtspaziergang. Nach drei von der Kritik gefeierten Alben ("Nox", "Freaks" und "Bell Dogs"), Kompositionen für Tanz (Charleroi Danse) und Kino (Hal Hartley, Karim Ouelhaj) und zahlreichen Konzerten in Belgien und im Ausland erscheint nun das neue Album "After Heaven" .

This album, entitled "Walimizi" will be composed of three original tracks: "Tseki", "Tsindzaka" and "Laisse-moi danser" by Sarera x Blanc Manioc, as well as four remixes by well-known artists of the pan-African electronic music scene: Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï, Deena Abdelwahed, PANGAR and Praktika! All these artists are close to the Blanc Manioc and Kayamba collectives, and have already come to Mayotte for the festival. They will be considerable assets to increase the international visibility of the project.


Also, a remix contest will be organized and open to anyone living on the island or originating from the island in order to select a remix created by an artist from Mayotte that will be integrated into the fnal online album.

"Palomino" ist das mit Spannung erwartete neue Album von First Aid Kit, dem von der Kritik gefeierten schwedischen Folk-Duo, bestehend aus den Singer-Songwriterinnen und Schwestern Johanna und Klara Soderberg. Der erste Track des Albums, "Angel", wurde bereits vor der Ankündigung des Albums veröffentlicht. "Palomino" ist ihr 5. Studioalbum, bestehend aus 11 Songs und vom Schweden Daniel Bengtson produziert. « Palomino » est le cinquième album du groupe suédois First Aid Kit. Écrit et enregistré dans leur pays d'origine, la Suède, « Palomino » a été créé pendant cette période sombre de pandémie mondiale, mais s'avère être l'album le plus pop de First Aid Kit à ce jour. Composé de 11 titres, il a été produit par Daniel Bengtson. «C'est le premier album que nous enregistrons en Suède depuis notre premier album « The Big Black & The Blue » il y a 12 ans ! Nous avons travaillé avec le producteur suédois Daniel Bengtson dans son charmant studio Rymden à Stockholm. C'était une expérience super amusante. Nous nous sommes vraiment laissé le temps d'enregistrer, nous ne voulions pas nous précipiter. Les morceaux ont été principalement écrits pendant la pandémie. Durant cette période compliquée, la musique était synonyme d'évasion, une bouffée d'air face à ce qu'il se passait dans le monde. Nous voulions que cet album soit plus optimiste et joyeux que notre album précédent, « Ruins », qui était un album de rupture. Ce nouveau projet est probablement notre album le plus pop à ce jour. Nous avons trouvé de l'inspiration partout - auprès de groupes tels que Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, Tom Petty, T Rex, Elton John, mais aussi Angel Olsen, Whitney et Big Thief.''

After asking Chloé Thévenin to collaborate on the soundtrack of her show "Static Shot" (2020), Maud Le Pladec has called upon the producer and DJ again for "counting stars with you (musiques femmes)". A new ambitious, militant and feminist creation made for the 2021 season of Montpellier Danse. The dancer and choreographer, accompanied by six dancers, uses dance and song to explore the unspoken, the marginalisation and the representation of women musicians from the Middle Ages to the present day by summoning historical and contemporary figures such as Kassia of Constantinople, Barbara Strozzi, Giovanna Marini and Clara Schuman...

“In concrete terms," says Chloé, "I composed the music by taking on board the songs of the dancers, drawing and reworking the voices from the repertoire of all the women composers who have been silenced by history. It’s a collective work, with Maud Le Pladec and Tom Pauwels (of the Ictus Ensemble), and we built on it as we rehearsed and developed the piece. The voices, their choices and reinterpretations were able to evolve into the music that I was composing.” Immersed in the creation and the work-in-progress nature of this show, Chloé has imagined a soundtrack based on song.
