Midway through Martin Luther King, Jr's historic speech at the 1963 March on Washington, a voice rang out from behind him: "Tell them about the dream, Martin!" That voice belonged to Mahalia Jackson, King's close friend and one of the most revered gospel singers of the 20th century - Glorious Mahalia, a visionary tribute to Jackson's life by the internationally renowned Kronos Quartet, uses that moment as a springboard to explore the depth of Jackson's musical craft and its impact on the Civil Rights Movement, including her relationship with Clarence Jones and Studs Terkel, other luminaries of the time

Limited red vinyl rerelease. 500 for the World (just 80 copies for the UK) After falling out with Sir Coxsone, the legendary head of the Kingston label Studio One, Lee Perry first founded his own band and then, in 1973, set up his own studio in his backyard. What was born out of necessity developed into a unique success story. With both the Upsetters and the Black Ark, Perry made music history - most notably with the 1976 release of the album Super Ape, on which he made the genre of dub bubble and boil from the mixing desk in previously unheard ways. For Perry, the studio is like a living organism. Whether he truly experiences it that way or simply lets too much ganja go up in smoke, for Perry the equipment is organic, empathetic, and intelligent. The catch is that the results sound exactly like that as well. Long before sampling was invented, he layered tracks of deep basslines, echoes, and reverb with various self-recorded sound sequences – often played in reverse - on top of, into, and beneath each other. In other words, Perry was the first producer who made the music instead of the band. Among other things, this earned him the title ‘Salvador Dali of Dub.’

This one means a lot to us. A project we’ve been working on for a couple of years. One where we hand over the curatorial keys of the label to very specific artists in whom we have absolute trust and who have an almost academic knowledge of a specific rhythm or a specific region where our eyes and sensitivity cannot reach. In order to amplify powerful voices from the global south, where the true underground is happening today, and that move away from the traditional axis of New York, London, Berlin. We present to you: Mzansi Bass curated by Shannen SP.

A project meant to explore the space between 3-step, Gqom, the dark sides of Amapiano, and mutations of Pritori rap deeply rooted in Black African rave music from the local scenes of Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Eastern Cape, and their global mutations from Brazil and the Netherlands. The project is anchored around the legacy act of DJ Lag and new comers of South African bass whose music has broken international barriers with pure-emotionally-rich dance music. The release works as both a celebration of the roots and the future offering it projects. As Shannen puts it, it's electronic music with a futuristic feel, both raw but minimal, trance-inducing and deeply physical, built in a very particular geographic space for
the whole world to enjoy.

Indulge into this special soundscapes crafted by their own inhabitants. Expect a couple each year from now on.

Pleasurewood return with 'Electric Telepathy', their second full-length LP offering Simla Space Funk, Psych-Library and Vintage-Cinematic Raga-Rock grooves.

This new offering from the band embraces more of their vintage Hindi Cinema soundtrack influences — "Chump Change", "The Hoverfly" and "RAMMM" could easily fit into the middle of an R.D. Burman score, each with their incongruous synthesis of different genres, infectious percussion, classical modes and funk chops.

There is also a slight sweep across a too-slow-to-disco tempo and feel with the moody Johnny Guitar Watson-esque slow burn of "Good Falcon" up to the nonchalant four-to-the-floor of "Last Dance Saloon" with its lyrical warning of digital over-saturation in our social-media saturated world and a foreboding of the mini-monoliths sat in the palms of our hands that in a Kubrickian way threaten to cosmically absorb us all as a species into their individual jet-black abysses.

And then, coming into focus like a sweet slice of disjointed, lo-fi, 8 bit space disco, "Mojave Desert" is a slacker-strut with telephone vocals dub guitars, dry cosmic synths and futurist Farfisa organ driven by an almost Acid-Jazz meets Post-Punk Bass line. The song is autobiographical in its account of an excursion along the 29 Palms Highway reflecting on an escape from the City of Angels not so far away, up into the stark psychedelic desert realm.

There is a lot to unpack in this record and yet more to discover so it will be best to allocate 40 minutes in a comfortable dimly-lit room with eyes closed and maybe a cognac in hand, to have a deep-dive into its well-travelled and esoterically funky grooves.

Released in 2013, Forward features vocal performances by N’Dea Davenport and Dawn Joseph and combines classic Heavies grooves with a polished contemporary production. Highlights include “Sunlight”, “Do You Remember”, “On the One” and “Lifestyle”. Our release marks the album’s first-ever appearance on vinyl. Zur Feier des 10-jährigen Jubiläums veröffentlicht LP eine erweiterte Deluxe-Edition ihres vierten Albums,
mit dem ihr der große Durchbruch gelang. Neben dem klassischen Titelsong „Lost on You“ – der kürzlich in
den renommierten „Billions Club“ von Spotify aufgenommen wurde – enthält die neue, erweiterte DeluxeAusgabe den bislang unveröffentlichten Track „Strange (Live at Harvard and Stone)“. Darüber hinaus sind
bisher unveröffentlichte Remixe von „Lost On You“ enthalten, die von DJ Pantelis, DiPap, MANSTA und
Lolos stammen.

Anlässlich ihres 20-jährigen Jubiläums veröffentlichen The Devil Wears Prada ihr Debütalbum *Dear Love:
A Beautiful Discord* neu. Diese besondere Pressung erscheint in einer „Split-Splatter“-Variante in Grün.

„The Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1“ ist das mit einem Grammy ausgezeichnete Debütalbum der Traveling
Wilburys (George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan und Roy Orbison) und enthält die Welthits
„Handle With Care“ und „End Of The Line“.

Nach Roy Orbisons unerwartetem Tod kurz nach ihrem Debüt machten die Wilburys als Quartett (George
Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty und Bob Dylan) weiter und veröffentlichten ihr zweites Album mit dem
humorvollen Titel *The Traveling Wilburys, Vol. 3*, das die Singles „Inside Out“, „She’s My Baby“ und
„Wilbury Twist“ enthielt.

*Accident of Birth* ist das vierte Studioalbum von Iron-Maiden-Sänger Bruce Dickinson und erschien am
12. Mai 1997. Es war Dickinsons zweite Zusammenarbeit mit Roy Z und unterscheidet sich stilistisch
stark von seinem ersten Album *Skunkworks*. Zudem arbeitete er für dieses Album mit Adrian Smith
zusammen, der zu jener Zeit ebenfalls ein ehemaliges Mitglied von Iron Maiden war. Das oft als eines von
Bruces besten Soloalben bezeichnete Werk brachte die bei Fans beliebten Songs „Man Of Sorrows“ und
„Road To Hell“ hervor.

Eine sorgfältig zusammengestellte Kollektion, die Desmond Dekkers Einfluss auf Ska, Rocksteady und
frühen Reggae unterstreicht. Mit herausragenden Titeln wie „Israelites“ und „007 (Shanty Town)“ fängt
sie jenen Sound ein, der dazu beitrug, jamaikanische Musik einem internationalen Publikum nahezubringen.
Dies ist eine kompaktere Version der „Essential Collection“ von 2023; sie erscheint anlässlich des National
Album Day 2026 (10. Oktober 2026) sowohl als Pressung auf schwarzem „Ecorecord“-Vinyl als auch
im Digisleeve-Format (1 CD) inklusive Booklet. Die Veröffentlichung bietet ein klares, warmes Klangbild
und dient als prägnanter Überblick über Dekkers wichtigste Aufnahmen – eine verlässliche Ergänzung für
Sammler und ein idealer Einstieg für alle, die den klassischen Reggae für sich entdecken möchten.

Mit Halt mich fest präsentiert die Rostocker Punk-Institution Dritte Wahl ein prägendes Kapitel ihrer Bandgeschichte - nun als limitierte Jubiläums-Edition auf Musikkassette neu erlebbar. Seit ihren Anfängen im DDR-Untergrund steht die Band für eine unverwechselbare Mischung aus druckvollem Deutschpunk, Metal-Einflüssen und klar positionierter Haltung.
