We complete 2019 with the "Sky, Horse and Catch EP" by label boss Noema himself.
On his quest to 'Bring the Jams', the world traveling DJ delivers two stunning tunes, streaked with percussion that he recorded on a trip to Sao Paulo.
Last but not least, Noema's EP comes along with a mind-bending remix by our favourite Romanians Khidja.

The title track translates a 90's Detroit House Groove to the present day and adds Cuica, Berimbau and several other Brazilian drums on top. Riding the complex groove, you encounter eccentric synths, mysterious soundscapes and of course the horse, on this 11 minute long hack.
'Minhocao' trades the horse for a racing car and takes you on a cruise on the same-named elevated highway that leads through the city of Sao Paulo. Surrounded by driving beats, guitar single-notes, massive synth-bass howls and a gritty Moog theme, this jam is a hell of a joyride!

Khidja strips down the original title track to its core and creates a solely percussive version in a half-time groove. By adding a virtuoso Qanon/Saz-like sound the tune develops an arabesque flavour with a dubby bass as the cherry on the top.

Building upon this sonic intensity, LX takes us on a ride with the spaced out « Canary Gold Rims », an ode to all things polyrhythmic where the beatmaker translate dance music « 4 to the floor » habits into some a less traditional 12/8 odyssey, with great helps from pianist Florian Pellissier cheeky Hohner Clavinet solos, before the program concludes with the second of iteration of « Surrender », a sensual, deep house floater tailored for late early morning dance floor situations.

Underdog Recordings fills a 25 year old gap in its catalogue with "The Original Jungle EP" by Darkdean & Hankinson featuring MC Stevie A on 3 tracks and introducing Carmen Naida on the 4th. There never was an Underdog 13, until now, 4 banging brand new old skool jungle style tracks made in 2019 on this limited edition EP. Dark Dean & Stevie A have been residents at one of the South Coasts biggest raves- Destiny, from the mid nineties to the present day and team up with new gun- Hankinson to encapsulate the vibe of the legendary nights at the Manor at Matchams, on vinyl.

Specimen Records continue their exploration into the deeper reaches of electro with an EP from Berlin based Richard Easel, featuring remixes from close collaborators Datawave and Federico Leocata. The EP comprises of 3 distinct styles in one release, Easel with intricate sublimation and experimental modular sounds of the Buchala. Datawave’s remix of Exterreri, with his trademark spatial depth charged electro and Federico Leocata with his unique funky-minimal approach, which renders his darkly mysterious sound unlike Metaphysix underpinning a sound suited to Specimen.

Richard Easel is the electro project of Berlin-based DJ and producer and Italian born Riccardo Sbardella. He derives his sense of style out of the various IDM and Hip Hop projects he has created throughout his production journey. Richard Easel is an artistic endeavour that serves as an outlet for his own interpretation of Electro. The word Easel comes from Buchla Music Easel, as a tribute to his passion for modular synthesisers, and especially for West Coast Synthesis.

Touchdown Junglist tracks started under lockdown by Dark Dean & Hankinson feature a sample of Fusion & Destiny's Master of Ceremonies & old friend MC Shadow. Croatian DJ & producer heavyweight Insolate debuts on Luke Slater's legendary Mote-Evolver imprint with a massive four-tracker of pure bred techno ready for the dance floor. After leaving her signature on highly respected labels such as DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted, Developer's Modularz, Ben Sim's Symbolism as well as her Out Of Place imprint which she operates along with Volster, she now delivers 'Push' a finely crafted EP of peak time material. Opening the A side, fierce workout 'Outer Bass' is showcasing a sinister driving energy that is followed by the raw frenetic groover title track 'Push'. On the flip side 'Blow' is a trippy, no-compromise cut, while closing, classy atmospheric track 'Desire' finishes off the EP with its effortless soulful touch and elegant, melodic synth pads flying by.
