isolée returns to Maeve with his second solo release following the success of 2017's "Mangroove EP". Spanning four tracks, "Candy Apple Red EP", shows different sides to the German artists signature micro sound. The A1, "mad marauder" leans on a big room feel while still possessing all the intricacies of production isolée has become known for over his distinguished career. The title track comes on the A2, "candy apple red", a jovial trot through a languid land of disco-house. The flip side starts with, "you are", a sub terrain deep house number with all the feels of an isolée cut. Rounding things off on the B2 is "Jordi", a darker trip into the dancefloor, perfect for the small hours.

Our little reissue label is back in the game with a solid four tracker, written and produced by Doug Cavender and Mark Orosz - under the ILK alterego. Our resident JESSAMINE is making the serve and releases his first artist EP on our in-house label.

With its rough bassline and arpeggio, the title track flutes clearly focuses on the dance floor, moreover, it is not too fine for an emotional break either. dérive-the second track on the A-side-is a much more twisted, darker and trippier one, more suitable for the later hours on the lobby and similar intimate dancefloors.

As long-time friends of the club, MAP.ACHE and KASSEM MOSSE contributed fantastic remixes. While KASSEM MOSSES's stille floeten remix comes along a little more stoic and therefore all the more hypnotic, MAP.ACHE's interpretation of flutes is uplifting and a catchy tune as described in the books.

For the new Arma release Ena explores different, distinct facets of his sound across three productions. “Pale” distills his vision of techno as a minimalist, repetitive construct. Working around non-standard time signatures, he creates a densely woven lattice of percussive pulses, which cut a polyrhythmic path through nightmarish sheets of noise. “Secondary Color” uses a broader palette that opens the Ena sound up to the light,,, “Wired” heads further away from the grid in pursuit of sound design exploration, as a rack of pipes and chambers strike, boom and chime against artful distortion and cavernous reverb. While Ena has historically been hesitant about remixes of his material, he warmed to the idea of long-time Arma friend JASSS reworking “Wired”. Taking the track into her own fiercely individual sound world, she uses the harmonic tonality of the original as a jump-off point for an epic, emotionally forthright chiller loaded with coldwave bombast, trap hats and Silvia’ own voice. Coming from entirely different angles of approach, Ena and JASSS are bound together by their fearless individuality. You can sense the slithers of pre-existing music somewhere in their constructions, but such familiarities are no more than faint echoes of places they passed through on their way to somewhere new.

For its second vinyl release, Eternal Ocean is proud to present ‘Static Flow’: the debut EP of Timo Bürgler AKA Awo Ojiji. Creating his own unique sonic world, Awo Ojiji has delivered a four track body of work that feels at once fresh and familiar. Opening the EP, ‘Lifeforms’ swings out of left field with an off kilter swagger sure to inspire more than a few unique dancefloor experiences. On the interior comes ‘Grainhive’, a groover that strikes a deep and rare balance of emotive texture and raw bassline energy. Flipping over, we find ‘Laura’s Lodge’, perhaps the most oblique tune of the bunch, where slick and expertly crafted percussion compliments the alien sound design that rides out the tune into its own dimension. Closing the record, ‘Swarm Align’ invites the dancer on a journey inwards, deftly maneuvering through a myriad of sonic waypoints until finally finding its way home, to be filed straight away under ‘Deep/Last Song’. Based in Graz, Austria, and having honed his skills alone and through close involvement with the disko404 family, Awo Ojiji steps up in offerance of a unique and personal statement. Taking influence from the current climate and deep history of electronic music and finding a space that is honest and genuine, this is music for the body, mind and soul.

Uniformity of Nature, the second release on Prague based Detach Recordings, marks an exciting collaboration between Romanian producer DYL (re:st, Alpha Cutauri, Skutta) and Germany's Senking (Raster Noton, Karaoke Kalk).

DYL pushes the bounderies of his sound beyond his 170 roots, with the powerful electronics of 'Phrases' and the electrifying team-up with Senking on 'Destroyed City Lights'. Two tracks see DYL in the more familiar peripheries of D&B. The percussive 'Words', with its curious background atmospherics, and the driving, hypnotic collaboration with DB1 on the title track 'Uniformity of Nature'. 'Launch' sees Senking slow the tempo down and delve into a more murky space, yet still highly-charged with razor-sharp sound design.

DYL closes the EP with the abstract 'Semantics', a further excursion into experimental electronics. The record comes housed in a screen-printed transparent sleeve, with a limited edition insert by Romanian artist Teodora Gavrila.

During a career spanning decades, under a spread of monikers, Lee Norris has weaved musical gold. Shipwrec know this. Once again the dutch imprint delves into the Metamatics' archives to come up with audio treasures. Instamatic, released in 2014, is the source material for the "Instamatic EP" with four tracks being revisited from the album. As with all of Norris' work, a depth of expression can be enjoyed from the outset. Mixing elements of electro, electronica and IDM, "Neon Future Blue" is a warm textured and simply addictive opener. Subtlety and form are tinkered and toyed with in the ruffled edges and stark lines of "Cosmic Emotion" before the grandeur and isolation that is "Metamatix." Fragility and the ephemeral combine in the closer. "Haethear" casts whimsical notes to the wind, gentle currents shift as basslines bubble against crushed beats. Simply sublime from a true master.

"Recorded early 2018, I feel strongly attached to these five jammed cuts. For some reasons, playing at both Brooklyn Mirage New York and Panorama Bar/Berghain Berlin was a direct consequence of these recordings. UNDERHER liefert sinnliche Herzschmerz-Geschichten. Komplexe Rhythmen, wie das Gefühl in der Brust, wenn du merkst, dass dein Partner dich betrogen hat. Die kühlen Stimmen von Neev, Liz Cass und October's Child fügen den dramatischen Kompositionen des in Montreal geborenen Wahlberliners Khaled Bess (aka UNDERHER) eine gewisse Aufrichtigkeit hinzu. Helsinki´s own underground powerhouse duo Trevor Deep jr. collaborates with young Berlin based and Korean born producer Wewerka. Flavourfull four-track ep is titled “KINDRED”.
Opening track “4 The Ladies” is paying homage to warehouse parties. Raving stabs and vocal samples screaming to start a riot. Followed by the second track Namu, pure deep house music inspired by breakbeats. B-side opener ”Nuna” displays the soulfull side of the producers, where African singer Nanghiti provides beautiful vocal foundation for Magic Manfred´s funk on the live bass. I guess you can call it Detroit soul.
Last track ”Spirits” is driven by soul sampled breakbeats and heavenly synths, transcending you to new hights.
A kindred spirit: ”Someone who you share a mutual meaningful connection with. Kindred spirits will encourage each other to develop as people and offer positive energy to each other.” That´s exactly what this record is all about.

Napoel is a techno project and a label created by two djs/producers based in Naples. Gi Napoletano’s techno and detroit influences in his dark style meet Louiel Secoundlou’s industrial raw and acid side shaping a unique texture in their productions and dj sets.

Edinburgh born Chris Braun, otherwise known as Duellist, is set to drop a hard-hitting new release on the immersive Wunderblock’s sub label Folgsamkeitfaktor, in partnership with Berlin-based Ready Made Distribution. Duellist has already surpassed a dedicated following with his forward-thinking industrial sound.

Known for breaking boundaries within the techno sphere, the primarily industrial and EBM influenced Folgsamkeitfaktor choose wisely with Duellist as the deliverer on their third release, a swarming industrial 7" EP titled Hereditary.

The Original Mix ‘Hereditary’ is energetic from the start, real industrial techno to sink your teeth into, the producer clearly pulling some unique textures from his love of grunge and metal. Truly powerful, the track takes you into another dimension from it's smoky beginning until locking you into a frenzy of kick drums and pounding bass.

The track is given an atmospheric remix by fellow friend and producer Swarm Intelligence, lowering the BPM and increasing the distortion on this dark and tense banger of a remix.

Not to be missed among the industrial underworld, the handle-with-care EP will be delivered on 27th of January; via Folgsamkeitfaktor.

2nd release on Seance sub-label Seance Limited - Original material by Craft aka Daniele Ciocio. Based in NY, United States having previously released on Deepbass’ Informa label amongst others.

The release also features a superb remix of ‘Hypothesis’ from Dorian Gray from Italy who recently released an EP on the Edit Select label.

Exhausted Modern joins the Artificial Horizon family and delivers a caustic mix of brutish and combustible electronix in keeping with the style that has seen his productions supported by the new wave of artists from Europe and beyond that seek to bring the future sounds of Acid, EBM and Techno to the present. From the contorted modulations of Dysphoric Experience to the emotional and melancholic closer ’Seagulls in a Harbour’, Exhausted Modern’s Datura EP twists and turns at every step, each track capable of sending any listener into certain frenzy.

Andy Ash has been quietly sneaking out seriously good analogue-driven electronic music on some of the best underground labels for over a decade.

The Liverpool-based producer, DJ and visual artist (the artwork for this re- lease is Andy’s own oil on canvas) has graced the likes of Chicago’s Stilove4music, NYC’s On The Prowl, Sydney’s People Must Jam and has remixed Fantastic Man for Detroit label Kolour LTD amongst many others.

The bottom line is that he’s definitely one of the UK’s unsung heroes when it comes to deep, raw, Chicago and Detroit-influenced house music and we’re proud to welcome him to Delusions Of Grandeur with an amazing three tracker entitled the Bottleneck EP.

The title track opens with snappy hats, flappy congas and sloppy baseline all sitting perfectly in the mix and with a looseness that is much harder to achieve that it may seem. A simple synth melody doubles up the bassline while an extra square wave lead adds that little extra hook without distracting us from the bouncing groove. With Bottleneck, less is definitely more.

Flipping over we have Hump, an altogether darker affair with a twisting acid line joining distorted 808 drums and tripped-out snippets of spoken word coming in and out of focus. The low-slung bumpy groove and spacey synth parts make this a compelling warehouse track which will draw everyone into it’s seductive confines.

Closing the release we have Actual Price, a shuffling, deep groover with rumbling low end and machine-like analogue synth part skipping around the crunchy beats. A cerebral yet punchy and dynamic closer to an excellent release!

After well received releases on Shadeleaf, Dead Horse and Hot Peas And Butter last year, Preston's finest soul brother Simba comes through Quintessentials with the 'Box Room Perspective' EP.
Leading the way is „Can You Free Me?“ featuring the beautiful vocals of Maddie Ellerby taking a distinct soulful flex a la Kerri Chandler.
The dub takes things a lil deeper for the heads stripping back to the essentials much like a Matthew Herbert dub. On the flip we have „True“, what has been described as „90's Planet E meets Broken Beat“, an excursion between the lines of house, disco and techno.
It’s hot up north!

Sam Goku's music showcases bonds of ambient, acic, house, techno and melodies. It's perfect for both club environments and home listening. The modern production style in combination with old-school elements/non-repetitive vocal sample work give Goku's music a unique, trippy twist that is topped off with Chinese percussive instrumentation.

Italian production duo natural/electronic.system. is back on their homebase Tikita Recordings. With four immersive deep techno cuts they continue the journey they've started when debuting on the label back in 2016. Now they could be seen as one of the key figures on the Moroccan based imprint with 'Mediterranea' being their third full EP on the label.

'Scirocco' starts in a deep mood, on low pace and mesmerizing percussion improvisations. 'Grecale' is the most swinging cut of all four with its tribal drum flow rambling on a playful up-tempo groove. Flipping to the b-side 'Libeccio' comes in at a lower bpm but still an unavoidable catchy and danceable motive where 'Maestrale' ends this playful EP with a lush and dreamy electro jam in deep blue space atmospheres.

Further proof of their unbridled dedication to sound system music and commitment to quality, the Belgian Dubstep imprint unravels
it's fifth physical release. Based in Denver, its newest signee by the name of Ghast returns to the spotlight, following up on heavyweight releases on prominent labels such as Encrypted and Gradient Audio.

The talented American artist sets the stage with two unruly armaments, alongside murderous remixes by Denmark's bass music stalwart RDG as well as the label operators themselves, Substrada & Caba.

Starting the engines, 'Mothership' immerses the stage in flickering echoes and haunting wails - the air bustling with anticipation. Eerily disfigured, granular reverberations materialize amid a pressurized and truly outlandish soundscape, barren at its core. Heading into the second section with renewed vigour, no dance floor remains unscathed in the ensuing aftermath.

The subsequent doomsday scenario, as engineered by Substrada & Caba, strips the ship to its bare essentials - laced with trippy drum instrumentations and the psychedelic foley samples. The meticulous flow presents itself in a bleak dungeon style - hoodlum vocal fragments rounding off the resulting low-frequency inferno.

Flipping the record to its equally profound B-Side, 'Vehement Mess' unhinges another portal into madness - dance floor upheaval guaranteed. Showing no signs of mercy, the infernal armagedon proves to be emblematic for Ghast's dystopian sound design. Profusely industrial and with clinical efficiency, hitting all the right frequencies as the second wave ignites but all available power reserves.

Finishing off any remaining survivors with his irreproachable signature style, RDG's remix marches onwards with unrestrained might in a four-to-the-floor fashion - super-charged, galvanizing the rave in a no-holds-barred shutdown.

Releasing his first ever vinyl release 'El Sunset' on James Holden's, Border Community back in 2007, Chilean producer Ricardo Tobar has since been held in high regard by the seminal UK producer. Intricately constructing his way around the parameters of emotionally-lead, highly atmospheric electronic music, Ricardo has brought his sound forward to grace the rosters of Jennifer Cardini's, Correspondant, ESP Institute and MUSAR Recordings. Continuing to extend his already significant discography, he now returns to MUSAR Recordings for a third time with the 'After The Movie' EP.

Ricardo's 'After The Movie' EP forms a selection of cuts that have been held in his locker for quite some time. Uncovered by MUSAR Recordings label head, David on a podcast from way back, it seemed only natural that this unreleased music from Ricardo would find its home on the Amsterdam-Tel-Aviv label.

"This EP is quite special to me because it reflects a long timeline in my work. The 'After The Movie' track had been in the vault for ages until David from MUSAR found it in an old podcast; it really takes me back to those first steps in recording music." Ricardo Tobar

Across his EP, Ricardo plays with varying textures and arrangements that in turn provide a cross-section of his sound that has expanded and developed over time. 'After The Movie' presents the experimental ambience synonymous with his early works, whilst 'Parques' brings an idyllic, cinematic feel with strictly crafted synth arrangements riding high, post-rock influences also show through. 'Regain Your Power' represents a change of course, whilst also channeling a political message punctuated by social unrest taking place in Ricardo's home country, Chile. He abandons experimentalism in favour of tougher 4x4 elements, allowing his machines to run riot.

Stepping up on the remix is a pair whose names are etched into the history of UK electronic music, Andy Turner and Ed Handley a.k.a. Plaid. Reworking title track 'After The Movie', they produce an emotive, soundscape complete with droning basslines and ex-terrestrial flourishes.

Following his debut release on Jedi Recordings last year, Cantina Cuts bring you another four authentic and fresh jungle/hardcore tracks from Hyped On Acid.

21-year-old New Zealand musician Arjuna Oakes's debut EP,
The Watcher, is a showcase of his ability as a singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, and a testament to his depth of engagement with music. The first two tracks on the EP fit neatly
within the jazz-infused soul music landscape he is quickly becoming part of, but the latter half of the EP is far harder to categorise.

Featuring instrumentation from some of New Zealand’s most exciting young jazz musicians, The Watcher explores a wide variety of themes and musical ideas, with Arjuna’s charismatic soul vocals and robust sonic palette serving as a connective thread. From big social issues to personal relationships and internal self-discoveries, across The Watcher, Arjuna takes his cue from the title track and exploration of mass surveillance, and it’s relevance within our everyday lives.

This watcher theme continues throughout the rest of the EP, with the stories told rendered as if being observed by an outside force. Decorated by cinematic soundscapes, hypnotic grooves, creative improvisation and catchy melodies, Arjuna's debut is a test palette for his future projects, one that makes his enthusiasm to develop and explore themes and style in song abundantly clear.

Raw Ambassador had the task of cooking his version of Party Animal with the collaboration of the vocal cords of the same Wosto for a really original result, a dance floor killa.

Austrian hardware-only liveact Anml Mthr presents his 4th release on Florian Meindl's FLASH Recordings imprint and counts to the core artists of the label.

Heavily influenced by the Vienna and Berlin Techno scene of the 90s he was a regular visitor to Tresor Club as well as a shining raver at Gazometer Vienna.

His productions under different monikers in the genre underground dubstep and hardcore can be traced back until the late 90s, but with Anml Mthr he found a home to combine his rough subbass with driving and chellanging acid lines and synth sequences.

His unique hardware setup consists of a huge modular synthesizer as well as classic boxes like the 303 of course, but also modern boutique synthesizers and effect boxes which he performs all in one take to record his tracks.

This golden release (PRRUKBLK050) sees prolific producer Edit Select adding another excellent deep techno EP to his ever expanding catalog.

The relationship between Norm and Core is in terms of sunlight playing over a mountain and a valley. Norm is the brightly lit portion, Core is the dark area occluded by the mountain's bulk. As the sun moves across the sky, Norm and Core gradually trade places with each other, revealing what was obscured and obscuring what was revealed. Norm is solid, focused, hot, dry, and active.

The 888 Miles E.P. includes two original tracks, 888 Miles and 777 Miles, which both develop a psychological tension that leads to moments of euphoric liberation where the synths soar and allow the mind the wander, accompanied by a rhythmic groove. There is a slightly different sensitivity between the two tracks that you'll can easlyer constat. Then, don't forget, even if the approach sounds different, the soul remains the same. The other original track, 000 Miles, places you on a spacecraft, with ambient musicality sounding like it could have been generated by hydraulic pipes or air conditioning. This E.P. release also includes '888 Miles XXX Reshape', a deep techno remix by none other than the awesome Francois X. He's probably the best person to describe it: "I've known David & Kevin (Klash Point duo) for a while now and when they suggested that I produce a remix for them, it was natural to say yes. After a fine release on Basic Fingers last year he now got two funk-disco edits for GAMM. On the A side Robert takes on a classic, Yellow Sunshine by Yellow Sunshine (translated in French on the release) which was a well established b-boy anthem as well as a classic cut for DJs like Danny Krivit and David Mancuso.
On the B, we find another obscure funk-disco jam packed with soulful vocals, moog synths and big disco breakdowns.

Jay Clarke's masterful BLACKAXON imprint returns with a shapeshifting EP from Davide Piras.

What began as a sonic sketchbook for Clarke to express his expansive view of electronic music, is evolving. The label is opening up to artists who hold a shared passion for creating dynamic and interesting techno compositions, with a few surprises here and there. Following last October's superb contribution from rising talent Yant, experimental techno artist David Piras drops a quadruplet of cuts to join the BLACKAXON fold.

His BLACKAXON debut, "Beyond Our Reach", is a true all-rounder. It leads with the dusty slow bass monster "Radiation Belt", before the gritty electro noodlings of "Multipolar" enter the fore. The analogue-infused rave cut "System Cartesian" takes the EP into otherworldly realms, before atmosphere-heavy "Pangaea Heritage" closes out the work, evoking a hazy afterhours vibe.

... Please Wait is the culmination of numerous online exchanges and years of sharing voice memos, stems, musical ideas & TikTok links between Ta-ku and Canadian producer matt mcwaters. Their cathartic approach to this body of work has been more about self-expression than anything else and has culminated in an EP that covers a range of issues and experiences from different times in their lives.

This double 10" vinyl features some absolutely enormous remixes that are not to be missed! Hamilton (Dj Ham) steps up to the plate and delivers a blisteringly dark remix of an already dark tune. Tough and rough, this one has a bassline that shakes the speakers to death and is built to last in his customary RAM records style.
Abyss gives us a glorious old skool drum and bass remix, in line with the 1994 sound, full on amen cuts, heavy sines and deep atmospherics.
Lowercase and Psycangle move the whole track into early 90's Ruffneck Records / Malice territory, with a furious old skool gabber remix, hard as nails and noisy as hell.
But perhaps the best is saved for last, because Sunny & Deck Hussy do the near impossible and take a dark tune and flip it on its head, making it euphoric and deep without losing the essential character of the original.

The Planet X invasion continues ... The third release is the most-awaited EP this year featuring the Matrixxman himself. According to the Alien Council, it is his best EP so far. It contains four tracks of serious icebreaking soundscapes, running trough the listener's veins by freezing the complete solar system with a coolness.

Starting the process is A1 with the fall-out Syren track called ‘Hong Kong Day’ played exclusively in the Matrixxman Dekmantel Boiler Room set last year, now finally being released for the hungry trainspotters who have been waiting for quite some time.
Next up A2, the second installment of the Hong Kong- the Night version- the most spooky-sounding spirit-catching meltdown of a track. It is reminiscent of a lethal death scene in a brutal manga cartoon, where the Iron eagle flies over the lands looking for prey.

On the other side- B1 starts with the track ‘Power Drain’ featuring his label mate-Exos- definitely the festival track of the release which then takes the listener to the breakbeat part of town in the final track called ‘Tango Down’ on B2.

This is where the real Matrixxman signature strikes with raw, dirty rave bass turning it back and forth, finishing the EP with some analog screams. The Planet X continues tearing through the galaxy.

Four freshly dare-to-be different cuts of bass-driven Techno, electro/IDM grooves, atmospheric dub chords, weird percussions and odd-uneven rhythms.

There’s a subtle sense of tension and restlessness in the guts of this music but also a lot of space, both colliding in the powerful dubby synth-solo closing track.

After a short hiatus, the dynamic duo of VSK & Conrad Von Orton return with their collaborative project, Symmetrical Behaviour.
After a steady stream of releases via Soma over the last couple of years. The pair took time out to focus on solo projects but return with a vengeance with the "Superconducting Harmonic Oscillator" EP which furthers their experiments in sound design and high-powered Techno.

Title track "Superconducting Harmonic Oscillator" kicks off the EP at a furious pace as highly charged atmospheres create and emphatically large sound for the pairing's suitably tough beats to hammer through. "Quantum Interference Device" goes down a more direct path as expertly crafted rhythms overlap against a backdrop of highly evolved drones and synths.

"Amplitude Spectral Density" keeps the tempo moving but leans on a more industrial tip with crashing beats submerged against articulately mangled synths that drive home the true force of the track. "Resonant Antennae" closes out the new EP from Symmetrical Behaviour and really has them show off their production prowess.

Jarring and off kilter rhythmic structure combine to deliver a truly head pounding track complete with the pairs stylistic atmosphere manipulation.

After his first appearance on Subaltern’s 'Kaleidoscope Vol.1’ with the scorching ‘Alter’, far-east sonic assassin and Back To Chill member Helktram makes his comeback on Subaltern Records with a heavy-as-stone three tracker. Each of the cuts is a dance-floor weapon which shows a different side of the Japanese mastermind’s razor-sharp production.

- Recoil: Opening with a crunchy guitar melody, ‘Recoil’ sets the pace
of the EP: a catchy and relentless bass-line takes us on a march
through forests and mountains, as distant pads and SFXs remind us
to stay alert. After the first round the guitar comes back, warning us
we’re not done yet. A straight hitter which will keep playing in your
head long after the night is over.

- Mineral: The aptly titled ‘Mineral' is hard as diamond and rough as
coal. This triplet juggernaut tramples systems all over the world
leaving its mark on any raver who encounters it. A sinister
thereminesque melody paves the way to a stripped-down beat with a
militant bass riff. Skilfully executed distortion engulfs the low-end
turning it into a powerful growly wobble.

- Beware: A threatening melody paints the post-apocalyptic landscape
of the EP’s third cut in what is Helktram’s trademark style. In this
track distortion is the name of the game: an unforgiving lead
matched by grimy and glitchy stabs evolves into an uninterrupted riff
which carries the rhythm leaving space for the bass melody. As the
title suggests, extreme caution is required when handling this
blaster.

'Cabriodelic' is a mid-tempo march that utilises sublime keys, sci-fi ethics and military style drums to incredible effect. 'On The Way' keeps the drums heavy but ventures into a deeper sub tropical technoid-esque landscape.

'Tour De L'Afrique' is exactly that, a jaunty vibe that buzzes and rolls through an unknown afro-centric land.'In Sands' finishes off the package nicely with an acidic heavy Moroccan spiced percussive roller.

Amadeo Savio is next up on Vigenere, the label that has thus far presented a whole host of unknown names in the field of minimal techno all bound together by a shared classiness in their production style. Savio's approach is deep and dubby on opening cut "Isolat", one primed for the after hours. "Trance Later" has a slightly more forthright approach, but there's still plenty of mellow delights to be found in the synth department to keep you chilling. "Encor" heads into more typically minimal pastures, while "Kassion" explores broken beat patterns and fragmented samples with scintillating results.

... BLR’s Lyon connects Ethyène and Saint Paul unite for a split 4 tracker soundly in the tasteful disco house vein of their Moonrise Hill Material crew.

Villager, aka Alex Young is a dynamic new producer who has been signed to the iconic Boysnoize Records for two fresh new EPs, kicking off with the superb ‘Aura’.

London’s Axe On Wax Records have been coordinating a quality stream of house since 2014, a trend that continues with their latest release from Zopelar vs Brothermartino. Creating a fraternal connection between Brazil and Italy, these are six tracks of woozy, charismatic house funk of the finest pedigree.

Zopelar - one half of Apron Records associates My Girlfriend - takes the first-side easing in with 'Fin', a starry-eyed and expansive instrumental that let us know immediately what his synths can do. Taking this shimmering sound, he adds distinct pressure funk on the bubbling, West Coast groove of the tellingly titled, ‘Funky Juno’, which delights with sensual vocoder and tough drums. ‘Thamis’ is left to take things in a more psychedelic direction, with Zopelar pushing his studio into fizzy, almost anti-gravitational territory.

On the flip, Brothermartino (Money $ex Records) establishes a sensual atmosphere with the lo-slung slap of ‘For 8 Freakin' Hours’, followed by ‘Dem Type Stars’, which stretches out the acidic funk, creating wormholes of spectral grooves. The release closes with the warm and nostalgic ‘We All Love People Who Die’, a cool, beatless interjection loaded with the charm of a cult film soundtrack.

Written and recorded by south London producer Glasswear, EP1 features 3 late night rave tracks made in 2014 along with a remix from IVVVO whose track 'Forever Your Mouth' has recently been getting spins from Aphex Twin this year.

Hamburg based Label Mantra Mantra drops its first EP by 11Schnull.
"IMPERIA" is not only the first release by 11Schnull, Hamburg-based Dj and producer, but also marks the birth of a new record and design label named MANTRA MANTRA. It will release electronic music from up-and-coming artists as well as handcrafted merchandising items, created specifically for each new output.

On this first EP the title track spans over an epic length of 10 minutes and combines an ecclesiastical sample field-recorded in the basilica of Imperia, Italy, with trippy choral soundscapes and hard crashing drums. The B side contains "Jam des Terrorglobus", a rough uncut session he held with his friend Baxmann, and a dark and quaky electro piece called "Roofies on fire", a harsh club banger that could potentially be the last track played at an illegal rave before the "Polizei" shows up. But this part of the story will be told on vinyl only.

Vinyl only imprint DMK (sub-label of Dogmatik Records) returns this November with the ‘Future Funk’ EP from Alex Jann.

Alex Jann’s material has amassed a wide array of supporters over the years, from Solid Blake and Alienata to Dave Clarke, Afrodeutsche and Posthuman his strictly hardware and modular synth workouts perfectly weave emotional synthesis with raw, gritty aesthetics. He’s released several EP’s over the years on labels such as his own Censor imprint with remixes of his work by such artists as Marco Bernardi & Animistic Beliefs, multiple EP’s with Clive Henry and shared label space on Rhythm Cult alongside Deadbeat, Barem, & Aquarius Heaven.

Title-cut ‘Future Funk’ leads with crunchy 808 style bumpy drums, tension building strings and squelchy acid licks at its core, while ethereal pad swells and wandering sub bass tones wander within the groove. ‘Robotic Prayer’ follows next, with shuffled percussion, soft atmospherics and a choppy bass line smoothly carried across five and a half minutes all subtly nuanced throughout.

Opening the flip side is ‘The Return’ which employs robust drums and murky synth flutters alongside cinematic string melodies before ‘Liberation Of Mass’ rounds out the release, fusing a broken rhythm and intricately programmed oscillating synth effects to create a hypnotic end to the EP.

Rich NxT heads to FUSE to deliver his ‘Suburban Skool’ EP this November, backed by fellow London favourite East End Dubs on remix duties.

An artist that has remained a central part of the London electronic music scene for over a decade, FUSE residentand NxT records boss Rich NxT is an artist that embodies the sound of the city’s evolution throughout the years, taking influences from all pockets of the scene - from drum’n‘bass and jungle through to the minimal and tech house sounds that later took hold of the blossoming after-hours circuit.

Having touched down on the label earlier this year alongside East End Dubs as the pairing released the impressive ‘The Four Slip’ EP, whilst also recently providing two collaborative cuts on label boss Siragusa’s latest ‘A Decade Of Rave’ LP project, November sees Rich return to home turf to deliver his second solo EP on the label of the year, with Eastenderz head East End Dubs also returning to provide an energy-fueled remix on the flip.

Opening proceedings, title track ‘Suburban Skool’ offers up a trademark slice of rolling house music as slick percussion arrangements meet bumping bass stabs and scintillating electronic melodies swirl around old school rave samples, whilst the slinking ‘Rex Press’ keeps the energy high as echoed vocals ebb and flow amongst bright lead lines, crisp drum licks, intriguing breakdowns and builds throughout. Shaping up the package, East End Dubs steps up to offer up a dynamic interpretation of ‘Rex Press’, utilising punchy kicks alongside soaring synth lines and driving snare rolls to impressive effect.

Two of Russias finest drum & bass producers have combined forces for an exciting new project. St Petersburgs Microfunk mastermind Bop, and Moscows minimalistic groove guru Subwave, unite for their debut collaborative release Love & Other Drugs. With their elegant approach to drum & bass, this four-track EP fuses futuristic indie-electronica, 2-step UK garage, glitchy beats and 80s inspired vocal stylings.

Progressive euphoria is the name of the game in Teardrops as Bop x Subwave pick apart the structure of D+B in this warm, delicate and hypnotic glitch number. Following suit is Space Warp - darker with eerie undertones, packaged as a sub-heavy stepper. The second half of Love & Other Drugs sees the duo branch out beyond the realms of traditional D+B. The bittersweet ballad Dont Wake Me Up is kitted out with a definitive 80s style. Renowned techno artist Jon Hester returns to Rekids Special Projects with a thundering fourtrack release, aptly entitled ‘Momentum’. Since his previous Rekids appearance, the Berlin-based Minneapolitan has continued delivering a steady stream of club ready cuts on labels like Transmat, LET and Deeply Rooted. Following a busy summer playing at the likes of Rex Club, Tresor and Hï Ibiza, Hester now returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects techno imprint in fine form. ‘Accelerator’ opens with solid, overdriven kicks, deep chords, electrifying synth patterns and saturated claps followed by ‘Beatwave’ which features rhythm-led vocal sampling, upbeat Arp stabs and sparking cymbals. On the flip, ‘Zoned’ thunders with low-end frequencies, emphasised by a flying groove with snappy hats, subtle claves and white noise hits when to finalise ‘Part 4’ bounces with distant congas and tribal percussion, tight hi-hats, floating pads and a punchy kick.

pparel Music is delighted to welcome aboard one of the most talented house music producers in the scene, Goddard, who’s the protagonist of APLTD012. The twelfth release of the Apparel’s limited catalogue is a brand new 4 tracks EP called “Signals” by the Mancunian featuring a 4-hands collaboration with Harry Wolfman and a remix by Jad & The. Every single track has been chosen carefully since the beginning of the project to make this record a representative work of the artist who perfectly blends his musical knowledge with the label’s imprint. The opening track “Fourth Dimension” is a teamwork between Goddard and the above mentioned Wolfman and is the ideal start with its crunchy, slightly distorted beat, bold bassline and spacey chords and arpeggios, surely a track for the DJ’s out there to play out to a busy dancefloor. A2 is the title track “Signals” and it lowers the heartbeat, displaying all Goddard’s talent on the keys and creating an impeccable fluctuating soundscape of his musical characteristics: the beat is an oscillating, yet solid structure while the different timbres of his synths evaporate and reappear conceiving a dreamy, spacey track. Side B begins with the whimsical chords of “It’s Not So Cold In Tromso” where the artist takes the listener to a brief and intense trip to see the Norwegian northern lights; the track is made by a strong rhythm section and flighty, far-out, harmonies which really evoke Scandinavian landscapes. B2 is a free interpretation of the previous track by the Australian Jad & The who amalgamates a jungle-ish beat to Goddard’s introspective harmonic section telling his opinion on the trip to “Tromso”.

The Outer Circle drops a debut release full of flavour and grooves reminiscent of the golden era of UK/US tech house from Glasgow's Craig Hamilton, alongside London's tech house veteran Silverlining on remix duties.

"Let You In" a deep rolling sub laden groove sets the mood of the EP. Tight percussive elements drive the track, incisive from the offset as spacious chord stabs dominate over arpeggiated tones laced with an appealing fragmented vocal throughout. "Monday Groovin" the deeper of the cuts follows on with slick rhythms and choppy female vocals scattered over smokey pads and mesmerizing overtones.

Before continuing on the flip with the Silverlining remix of "Let You In". The tech house originators interpretation is a far darker bass driven analog work out. Upfront beats and spaced out atmospheric layers meander among rolling snares and peppered chord stabs with satisfying vocal elements, leaning this towards the deeper end of the spectrum.

Apzolut & MC Goatzak are two brothers with a pretty damn unique background. These viking brothers measure over 2 meters in height each and most women out there wish they had long hair as good as them. Meeting them for the first time we expected them to come from somewhere near the fjords of Norway, but this turned out to be seriously mistaken...

These metal heads grew up in the Caribbean island of Aruba and lived there till somewhere in their 20's before finally making the move to the Netherlands. With no real metal scene on that tropical island
and definitely no breakcore scene it's still a bit of a mystery to us what drove these guys to start producing and playing such extreme music - but we are happy as f*** that they did.

This brand new 5 track EP is one seriously brutal death/black metal breakcore rave mash up. Definitely not suitable for the top 40 radio listening weaklings out there. But if you're a wo(man) that has a hard spot for extreme out of the box music, then this one just might be something for you.

To keep the nostalgic memories alive and as sort of an ode to those dark times years ago - when for a lot of the youth trading and copying cassette tapes was the only way to even be able to find and enjoy underground music - we've decided to make this release physically available only on cassette tape and those are limited to just 75 copies!!

To complete the release, Amsterdam’s Nathan Surreal delivers his deep interpretation of a track called “The Burner”, and it just feels like the perfect vibe to wrap up this record that Santonio himself considers to be one of his best.
