Jusant is an action-puzzle climbing game by DON'T NOD highly anticipated for its unique vertical gameplay, graphics and story. Its OST was composed by the piano genius Guillaume Ferran influenced by neoclassical artists like Nils Frahm or Max Richter: it follows the game’s meditative vibes with 23 minimalist orchestral tracks that give each instrument its place in a colorful soundscape.

After a triptych released by Un je-ne-sais-quoi, in barely 3 years, under the name Tachycardie, Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy, musician, composer but also visual artist, continues his very singular journey to the heart of sound matter, with an album composed on Baschet sound structures.

From the 1950s, the Baschet brothers created a truly innovative set of instruments which has since fascinated musicians seeking new sound experiences.

Both sculptures of glass, metal and instruments of great acoustic sharpness, these sound structures have made rare but remarkable forays into recordings of contemporary music (Bernard Baschet, Jacques Lasry, Luc Ferrari, Toru Takemitsu, Jonathan Fitoussi…).

The Baschet brothers were also keen to use these instruments for educational purposes in the form of workshops, cultural action projects or simply by inviting the public to try these instruments at the end of concerts. It is in the Ateliers Baschet, a place aimed at preserving and transmitting the work of the brothers (workshops, conferences, residencies) that Tachycardie recorded this new album.

After having combined on his previous albums, analog synthesis, audio-naturalism and percussion in an overwhelming balance, he explored here all the sonic variety of Baschet structures. He then just sculpted this sound material in his studio, using simple effects: editing and pitch.

The result is a new path to explore in Tachycardie’s world, made of subtle percussive crackles, beneficial chaos and restorative oscillations.

Das Album wurde in der Schweiz, auf Mallorca und in Los Angeles produziert und gemischt. Auch dieses Mal wurde beim Songwriting erneut auf den Steve van Velvet gesetzt, ebenso auf Dan Suter, der sich in der Schweiz um das Mastering des Albums gekümmert hat.

Von Wegen Lisbeth erzählen von der unübersehbaren Gentrifizierung im Viertel, dem Döner an der Ecke und dem Schweigen, das manchmal lauter scheint als der Presslufthammer vor dem Fenster.

Nach ersten Supporttouren für die Kölner von AnnenMayKantereit oder Sven Regeners Element of Crime haben sich Von Wegen Lisbeth längst in der deutschen Musikszene etabliert, ihr Album GRANDE erntete zurecht positive Kritik, nun legen die Berliner mit sweetlilly93@ hotmail . c om musikalisch und textlich nochmal einen drauf. Heute mischen sie alles zusammen zu einer Melasse aus Punk-Hillbilly-Folk und roher Straßenmusik, touren um die Welt in Clubs, Festivals und auf der Straße, verstärkt oder voll akustisch flexibel schlagen sie dich mit einem solchen Superhammer von Folk-Punk, dass du nicht weißt, wo du bist.Für dieses Album tourten Angry Zeta 3 Monate lang durch Europa und wir schickten sie nach Italien ins Outside Inside Studio für eine Aufnahmesession mit Matt Bordin, wo sie 3 Tage lang diese Songs aufnahmen. Zeta (Dario Vaccaro), der Sänger und Gitarrist, schreibt die meisten Songs zusammen mit Waltzer (Pablo Ferrando), der Geige und Gesang spielt. Die obskursten Songs wurden von Banjo Bob (Martin Bobrik) geschrieben, wie zum Beispiel Worms und Bugs. Es gibt 2 Coverversionen auf dem Album, eine von der argentinischen Punkband 'Flema' Si yo soy así, und ist ein Lied über das Trinken von Bier und das Trinken von zu viel Bier, dann die großartige Punk Billy Version von Mac Curtis's super killer Rockabilly Song Low Road.

BLOODORN, eine neue Power-Metal-Band des Lead-Gitarristen von SIRENIA, Nils Courbaron. Die Band wurde im Jahr 2020 während der Pandemie gegründet. SILENT WINTER-Sänger Mike Livas, FREEDOM CALL-Bassist Francesco Saverio Ferraro und SIRENIA-Schlagzeuger Michael Brush traten der Band bei, nachdem sie die ersten Demos des Albums gehört hatten. Frank Rosaly is a Puerto Rican drummer, composer, and sound designer with several decades of touring, performing, recording, and creating to his name. Born and raised in Arizona, Rosaly was known for his fifteen years of creative work on the Chicago jazz and improvised music scene, before moving to his current residence in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in 2016.

The fourth full-length record from Atlanta’s Microwave is a trip. It all begins with the misty synth strikes and cosmic transmission warbles of “Portals,” before hazy, dripping-wet guitar chords settle in. The song, an adaptation of the traditional Christian hymn “Softly and Tenderly,” is true to its new name, as liminal and fleeting as it is gripping and emotional. It’s an enormous, gentle, enveloping introduction to what will be explored: life and death, happiness and freedom, the real and unreal. This is Let’s Start Degeneracy, the long-awaited new album from Microwave, releasing on April 26 via Pure Noise. It's an emo record, but perhaps only categorically speaking. It contains multitudes: ambient, pop, R&B, punk, and experimental sounds float in and out of one another as the record moves through scenes, experiences, and feelings, all of them rippling with a purity of intention and translation that mark the best artistic works of “psychedelia.” Vocalist/guitarist/producer Nathan Hardy, bassist Tyler Hill, and drummer Timothy Pittard have created something that resembles a concept record, but it’s the sort of concept that’s impossible to contain in just one phrase or word or sound. The record’s title, taken from a conservative politician’s take on drugs in 1970, captures this liberated spirit. There are no rules, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. “It’s about letting go of attachments and behaviors that aren’t serving you, and trying to shake off your programming and not be motivated by fear and guilt and shame,” says Hardy.

Marc Richter records as Black To Comm for Thrill Jockey and under the Mouchoir Ètanche and Jemh Circs monikers (and solo) for his own Cellule 75 imprint. He collaborated with visual artists such as Ho Tzu Nyen, Jan van Hasselt and Mike Kelley. He also produces soundtracks and acousmatic multichannel installations for institutions such as INA GRM Paris, ZKM Karlsruhe and Kunstverein Hamburg.

After her stunning collaborations with Vincent Royer (for Mode Records), Jim O"Rourke and Christoph Heemann (both for Oren Ambarchi"s Black Truffle Records) Brunhild Ferrari returns to the scene with this new solo album. Extérieur-jour is comprised of two previously unreleased compositions, one being the title track the album is named after and the other "Le Piano Englouti (version original)." Extérieur-jour translates to "Outside Day," and indicates an instruction for a film scene, a piece of cinéma pour l"oreille, a movie for the ears. It was recorded at Luc Ferrari"s Atelier Post Billig in January and February 2014. "Le Piano Englouti" ("The Sunken Piano"), another electroacoustic composition which was realized over a period of fourteen years between 1996 and 2010, also brings forth cinematic elements with sound sources recorded in places as diverse as a Greek island by the noisy Agean Sea, a Pachinko place and a quiet island in Japan. It comes across as a meditation on the loss and reappearance of memory and silence. The graphics for the album sleeve were created by the late Wolfgang Meyer Tormin, artist and composer and also father of Brunhild Ferrari. The album was mastered for vinyl from the original source by Jim O"Rourke.
