Skin/Glove is the second LP by Belgian musician Mathieu Serruys, following the release of his B.A.A.D.M. debut On Germaine Dulac back in 2014. Compiled over the course of a fortnight, the record features material recorded over the past five years: creaks of ice buckling under heat, thick hums like nauseating headaches, plumes of evaporated organ hymns, frostbitten crackles of dying tape loops. These disparate sources are unified by the pervasive corrosion of pain and time, which presses into the surface of every sonic object. Melodies splinter under the strain of being pulled apart; drones tremble under the gathering gravity of fatigue; dissonances flicker like candles on the brink of extinguishment. Yet despite the emotional density of the material itself, the process of composition provides a route toward comprehending how these sounds and experiences are connected. Skin/Glove reads as a constellatory map of adversity and grief, beautifully coalesced through the cathartic distance of retrospect, haunted by the sibilant whispers of distinct memories in dialogue, latticed by lesions that fatefully and poignantly intersect.

Lebanon Hanover kehren mit Songs zurück, welche die Zeit bis zum nächsten termin mit der Lieblingstherapeut*inn überbrücken können. Germany's Invexis comes back to the Manchester-based Scrap & Delete label with the 'Morphium' EP, arriving 19th September 2025. The four tracks follow up his remix for label founder Dorbachov's 'Ellesmere Street' EP earlier in 2025, which won support from Luke Slater, Jako Jako, Dave Clarke, and more. Title track 'Morphium' opens the EP in unexpected territory: an emotive, melodic crossover track that retains Invexis' mechanical backbone while reaching for something more transcendent.

With soaring synth layers and expertly balanced weight, it's a rare euphoric moment in his catalogue; one destined to erupt across festival tents. Als epische Fortsetzung von „Ounas I“ aus dem Jahr 2023 hebt dieses Album den charakteristisch frostigen Sound der Band auf ein neues Level und liefert eisige, zugleich mitreißende Melodic-Death-Hymnen, die das Genre neu definieren werden. "JS", a new vinyl album by Bochum Welt, has been curated in collaboration with Jil Sander under the creative direction of Simone Bellotti.

Minimalist electronic landscapes, analog textures, and emotional precision define this release, blending sound design with fashion-led aesthetics.

Bochum Welt is the alias of Italian electronic musician Gianluigi Di Costanzo, whose blend of sonic experimentation and emotional precision resonates with the Jil Sander aesthetic.

Was "It"s Always Rock"n"Roll" vielleicht aus dem Repertoire von Heldon heraushebt, ist seine Ausdehnung, sowohl was die Größe der Ideen als auch die Länge der Stücke angeht. Die meisten Tracks sind jedenfalls über sieben Minuten lang, zwei Werke nehmen sogar eine ganze Plattenseite in Beschlag.

Prism Shores are Montreal janglers with one foot planted in ramshackle C86-indebted indie pop and the other in the shimmer of early English shoegaze. Made up of Oscar-winning composer and instrumentalist Hildur Gudnadóttir, veteran engineer and producer James Ginzburg, Senyawa's idiosyncratic vocalist Rully Shabara and Grammy-winning sound designer / producer Sam Slater, while each member brings along a laundry list of accolades, the project is far greater than the sum of its parts. Alloying burnished electroacoustic soundscapes with dense, metallic drones, barbed rhythms and buckled, bio-mechanical vocalizations, OSMIUM's eagerly awaited debut album doesn't try to cast a rigid future. Rather, it tempers a viscous flow of unorthodox speculations that smolders through the distant past, blazing a trail all the way to the frontier of fate. Absorbed by questions about the relationship between humans and technology, tradition and progression, the individual and the group, OSMIUM channel their experience and expertise into a set of forward-thinking sonic interrogations that skewer established cultural preconceptions. Taking his cues from this process, Slater (who has worked alongside Jóhann Jóhannsson, Ben Frost and others) generates rhythms using a self-oscillating drum he designed with KOMA Elektronik and Subtext boss and Emptyset member Ginzburg responds in kind, producing booming tambura-like sonorities from a device he developed himself based on the monocord, an ancient single- stringed resonator. OSMIUM synchronize the three unique instruments using a custom system of robotics to generate basic rhythms that underpin their improvisations and experiments, and Shabara's alien tones supply the band with their conceptual fulcrum. The vocalist is one of South Asia's most recognizable underground artists, and the sounds he's able to create using exhaustively rehearsed extended techniques are so distinctive that he's been studied by scientists back home in Indonesia. Never weighed down by needless sound design or modish ornamentation, it's music that feels authentically experimental; OSMIUM have figured out an awkward symmetry between their discrete approaches, concentrating their gaze on the outcome rather than the process. The result is a work of science fiction that's driven by interaction, conversation and sensation.

With their seventh full-length "Nocturne", HEXVESSEL explore the liminal spaces between light and darkness, nature and solitude on an epic album. The ever evolving and shifting Finnish band has reawakened their treasured roots in folk music and psychedelic rock as they artfully weave acoustic interludes, cosmic synths, and spectral piano into the frost-spun threads on their black metal loom. The seed of this masterpiece was sown by the performance of a commissioned work at Roadburn Festival 2024 that was originally entitled: "Music for Gloaming: A Nocturne". With this album, it arrives fully fleshed in recorded form. This opus magnum blends the raw spirit of Quorthon's black metal with the intricate minimalism of contemporary composers such as Philip Glass, György Ligeti, and Avro Pärt. Its eclectic nature is elevated and underlined by select guest performances, including the vocals of Saara Nevalainen, as well as the avant-garde black metal luminaries Yusaf Vicotnik Parvez (DHG/DØDHEIMSGARD), and ORANSSI PAZUZU's Juho Vanhanen. While HEXVESSEL are based in Tampere, Finland, they were founded by English singer & songwriter Kvohst aka Mat McNerney after he moved to the country in 2009. 2025 schüttelt der kreative Musiker mit seinem Soloprojekt Afsky ein Debütalbum aus dem Ärmel, das definitiv seine Spuren im Blackmetal hinterlassen wird. Luk setzt auf Bewährtes: Depressiv-raue Prügelparts reihen sich aneinander und erzeugen eine frostige Atmosphäre, aber er scheut auch nicht davor zurück, Melodie (wohl dosiert), Postrock, Doom und nordische Folkelemente einzubauen. Auch das ist nicht neu und wurde schon das eine oder andere Mal in diesem Genre praktiziert, aber Luk setzt es mit einer Entschlossenheit um, dass diese Parts nicht wie Fremdkörper, sondern als vollständig integrierte Teile der Songs wirken. Using hex SPC data converted to MIDI, Jammin' Sam Miller painstakingly recreated the DKC soundtrack note by note, sourcing the original equipment used to create it. He then translated the MIDI into a modern studio context, incorporating keyboard samples, remixing the sounds with added effects, and mastering the tracks. NEKRODEUS wurde 2013 gegründet und begann mit einem Demo irgendwo zwischen Death Metal und Sludgecore. Die Band und ihre Musik haben sich über die Jahre ihrer Bandgeschichte immer weiter entwickelt. Die äußerst kreative Band befindet sich nun auf ihrem aktuellen künstlerischen Höhepunkt und verbindet gekonnt Musikgenres wie Black Metal, HC Punk, Death Metal und Grindcore. DESCRIPTION
Looming above Hastings on the South Coast of the UK, carved into East Hill, three black shapes are visible from a distance. Mysterious and ominous, they assume the aspect of the entrance to a church or a portal to dimensions unknown. Closer inspection however reveals them to be no more than mere follies carved and painted into the rock, as hoaxster John Coussens sought to convince visitors that an elaborate subterranean kingdom lurked within. Centuries later, this coastal town remains a place that serves as a magnet to the wyrd and the mischievous. And it’s here that the meeting of minds took place that led to 'Folly' - the second release for Rocket’s Black Hole series - an imprint focused on the unorthodox, otherworldly and esoteric. The journey that led to ‘Folly’ began in the dingy cellar of a wine bar in the town. Black Arches formed around a regular local experimental night in such environs aptly named Weird Shit, initially as a freeform musical outlet for author and musician Gareth E. Rees’ later incorporating Matt Frost from his garage rock troupe The Dirty Contacts, and frequent collaborator James Weaver, to form a vehicle for wild experimentation and psychic abandon. Given he was also a regular attendee, it was no surprise when Sexton Ming, arch maverick outsider artist and uncompromising iconoclast of over four decades standing, entered the picture. Soon after a perplexing but serendipitous chain of events took place, with demons conjured up via improvised sessions, poetic licence taken, dystopias chronicled, audio files gone awry, vocals overdubbed and laptops lost, Somehow amidst the sturm-und-drang ‘Folly’ was summoned in all its murky glory. As we embark on the second quarter of an uncertain century, just maybe this psychic travelogue is a dark prism to make sense of the chaos we confront.
