Five years on from her debut on the label, Surgeons Girl returns to Livity Sound with an EP of explorative, synth-rich techno. In the time since A Violet Sleep announced Sinead McMillan's fulsome analogue sound, she's maintained a considered presence with live, hardware-rooted performance and a select handful of releases.
On A Moment To Machine EP, McMillan showcases a widescreen strain of techno that leans into the expressive, emotional weight of powerful synth composition while maintaining a fierce physicality tuned up for the club. 'Under This Space' and 'Razor's Whip' dart along upwards of 150 without sacrificing depth and subtlety, while 'Steps Right' and 'Silken Place' shelve drums in favour of cascading arpeggios. 'Rested' brings balance to the record with needlepoint rhythmic exploration and pensive pads, rounding out Surgeons Girl's ever-developing, highly personal approach to techno.

Focusing on bringing people some fresh air from the island that we produced with its own unique character. Our artists provide an escape to somewhere full of energy to drag you back from the so-called chaotic world. There are plenty of spaces, it’s a sharing for everyone!

As you may know, Koh is a word in Thai that means ‘island’. We want to represent the sound of our characterized island and tell the story through it. For this collection, we want to present the island under the ground which represents the different perspective of life reflecting our music scene in reality.

We gave the word “Clockmaker” as a hint to the artists.
It’s a simple, even mundane concept—something easily overlooked and not immediately eye-catching. It also suggests waiting, as it often takes time for people to return to the shop. But time itself holds meaning, and the clockmaker always has something hidden beneath the surface.

With that in mind, “The Photo Sticker Machine” and “Chucheewa” present their first original track: “Galactic Love.”

Alongside it are five vibrant remixes by artists we deeply admire—from Mogwaa (Korea) and Retromigration (Germany) to three incredible talents from Thailand’s local scene: Kova O’ Sarin, Chalo, and Saranmy.

The Italian duo delivers an EP of 4 gems from the world.

We are excited to present 002, the second chapter in our vinyl-only journey curated by our head honcho, Reshio. This release delivers four powerhouse tracks.

Official reissue of the self-released first Mac Machine single from 1983. This little gem brings a boogie funk, early rap slap on the a-side; and a deep, soulful tune on the flipside. Both mark the cornerstone of this band from Kassel, North Hesse, Germany. With its playfulness, solid skills on the instruments and a brilliant singer, it revealed a first glimpse of what to expect musically by the band that was founded by former US soldiers in 1982. The re-release comes in a picture sleeve including an insert with liner notes.

'In This World' is starting the party, bringing raps with a critical view on the early 1980s state of the world, featuring a musical remedy that chases all your blues away: "Just shake your head one time and move that behind. Just listen to what I say, and you will go through every day!"

'Let Me Go' tells the agonizing end of a relationship. Too much has happened, and it just doesn't work out anymore. The powerful vocals make one feel the pain, while the female chorus, piano and percussions deepen the sentiments. A funky good-bye, that could make you cry.

For the last decade, Crack Cloud’s vision has grown ever more expansive, more cinematic. Even in death, we are a coterie of survivors. Look now: There’s Terry Fox on his one-legged Marathon of Hope across The Great White North while cancer spreads through his lungs. A self-annihilating drive to feel alive. Rage against the dying of the light, they say. Well, how ‘bout it then!??! Peace & Purpose is not in any way some art project meditation on Punk Rock. It is Punk Rock. Terrifying, inspiring, vital, invigorating and most importantly, utterly unexpected. Every goddamn stupid day is a sublime slice of fresh hell. That’s the point. Gotta go through it. Wishing you Peace & Purpose — if only in that last big breath.

10th release from the Undergroove label, this time with an EP from Local dj, a perfect match between deep, funk and tech house with a spicy touch of electro, we can feel the artist's touch on these sounds that he has brought to another level of groove.

Machine Girl's debut album celebrates its tenth anniversary with a long-awaited reissue, which marks the first time it arrives on CD as well as vinyl. Originally released in 2014, WLFGRL fused footwork, jungle, digital hardcore and rave into a chaotic, euphoric sound that helped launch a global underground movement. The album's packed with raw intensity and plenty of breakcore influence so it introduced a new generation to extreme electronic music and to celebrate its return, a one-off livestreamed show at Brooklyn's Trans-Pecos accompanied the release. As we are reminded listening back now, WLFGRL is a real high-water mark in outsider music culture.

Edit maestro Danny Krivit delivers a double-sider of killer instrumentals that rocked such iconic venues as the Loft and the Paradise Garage. ‘Flying Machine’ from War was written for the climactic scene in the 1978 film Youngblood and brings an intense burst of drama and excitement to any set. This Latin-flavoured jam never fails to provoke dancers to new heights of expression, appearing for the first time on a 7-inch! The Flipside ‘How Much Are They’ plumbs the depths of dub and exists in a strange netherworld between four-on-the-floor, steppers reggae and motorik krautrock, courtesy PIL bassist Jah Wobble and Can’s Jaki Leibezeit and Hoger Czukay. Two certified classics from the playlists of NYC’s greatest clubs, remastered & delivered in maximum sonic fidelity.

"Don't Run From The Fire" is Minuit Machine's 5th release. It's a four-track EP. One year and a half after coming back from a one-year hiatus, Minuit Machine keeps on transforming and evolving. From dark electronic, to EBM, the duo reasserts its hybrid identity, always dark wave, but with strong touches of techno and EBM. Don't Run From The Fire talks fear and desire. How love, and feelings in general affect us all as human beings. How we try to run away when we feel in danger. We run away, or we stand still, ready to attack, like a scorpio. We hide how much we're afraid, how much we'd like to hide. It's about control, trying to take control when everything is out of control. When the world around us is chaotic and dangerous. Don't Run From The Fire is about fighting, for who we are, who we want to become. It's about understanding what we truly want and embrace it. Following releases on Exarde and White Scar, the Laik label-head’s signature sound takes a menacing turn. In a departure from his usual output he delivers a grizzly 5 tracker filled with EBM, New Beat and Wave affined floor-fillers; all fraught with tension, straight out of the Kirkstall strip.

Fitting for peak-time, warm-ups and rub-downs, the EP is filled with snarling, left-of-centre bombs. All reminiscent of the golden-era sound forged in Frankfurt and Ghent circa 88-91, with new-school stylings for the modern day working disk-jockey.
