Ein Fan kam zur DJ-Kanzel um mich zu fragen was ich spielte. Als ich ihm sagte, daß es einer meiner neuen Tracks sei, erwiderte er - zu meiner Überraschung - 'Da ist soviel Melancholie in dem Track, woran hast du gedacht als du ihn gemacht hast' Seine Frage traf einen tiefsitzenden Nerv: er verstand was ich gefühlt habe, als ich den Track machte - ist das nicht, worum's in der Musik geht Aber muss ich ihm wirklich die ganze Geschichte erzählen Es war weder die Zeit noch der Ort um ein tiefsinniges Gespräch anzufangen, also lächelte ich ihn einfach nur an und dankte ihm für seinen Enthusiasmus.

This summer, Laurent Garnier announced the launch of his latest landmark album. The newest LP showed why he is such a vital force with a series of cuts, distilling his 30+ year career experiences into cutting-edge electronic music full of tension and release. Now he continues to prove he operates at the vanguard with this exemplary assembly of remixers.

UK techno mainstay Works Of Intent, fka R.O.S.H., opens up with his Farewell remix of 'Reviens La Nuit', a dark, pulsing techno sound with widescreen cosmic chords and unsettling modulations. Romantic techno master Voltaire then flips 'Tales From The Real World' into a scintillant melodic excursion with arps cascading down the face of the track and fizzing synths lighting up the electro beats.

Next is 22Carbone, who are featured on the original album but here remix 'In Your Phase' into a grimy, broken beat with tough bars and twisted metal textures next to the menacing mic work. Rocco Rodamaal has 30 years of experience and is one of few veterans that remains genuinely relevant today. He offers two versions of 'Liebe Grüße aus Cucuron' - a smooth and deep elongated techno trip and a fizzing Keys Mix doused in melodic charm.

New York's new wave techno star Anthony Cardinale aka Avision, lights up his remix of 'Le Swing Du Pouletto' with radiant and optimistic synths and a dark, brooding low end. Later he brings plenty of marching menace and pent-up synth tension to his rework of 'Liebe Grüße aus Cucuron'. Reshit's take on 'On the Record' offers a dreamy ambient soundscape with downtempo breaks and expansive prog-rock style synths. The Limiñanas are Lionel and Marie Limiñana - a pair based in the deep south of France who record garage, psych and pop music and have previously paired up with Garnier on the successful album ”De Pelicula”. They offer a long and short remix of 'Saturn Drive', which in their hands is a dirty post-punk gem with raw drums and sleazy guitars creating walls of reverberating sound.

This sophisticated selection of techno remixes brings all-new emotions and moments of dance floor brilliance to Laurent Garnier's superb originals.

In 1984, Garnier started working as a waiter for the French Embassy in London. He started to play with DJ Nelson a.k.a. DJ Stan in French club. Then, he stayed there for a year and a half before moving to Manchester in 1986. Living in England he discovered the booming UK house scene and started DJing

Those who have been following Laurent Garnier, would know that for a long time know the multiple attributes of this artist, and how his status as "best DJ in the world" is only a shortcut used by default. It must be said that this man is gifted with an extraordinary sense of combat, and that he has been fighting for many years to impose good music onto the public. Laurent Garnier has always refused ghettos and prefer action, he does not support repetition, even less compromises and certainly not downtime.

The soundtrack is an important part of the project. It was composed by Jean-Charles Bastion and includes three exclusive titles by

Laurent Garnier. The same type of freedom present in the movie is felt in the soundtrack: the main themes are repeated and twisted,

without getting frozen. Stunning, dreamy, dancy... The music is adapted to the rhythm of the story, like if it was Anna's mirror.

Anna misses the flight she was supposed to take to visit Greg, her boyfriend, in Barcelona. After the plane crashes, she falls into the vertigo of an avoided death. She starts to be pulled away from reality and present. While her couple breaks up, Paris becomes the mirror of her distress.

Paris Is Us, directed by Elisabeth Vogler, was shot between 2014 and 2017, from the National Music Day to Johnny Halliday's funeral, through Charlie's Walk and the Nuit Debout movement... An evolutionary and ambitious movie, mixing the destiny of the city to Anna's life. It is a movie where the unpredictable has the main role.

Honey I'm HOME'! is a 12' single containing three brand new Laurent Garnier tracks.

lovetempo is the solo project of Mattie Safer, former member of the beloved New York electroclash band The Rapture, now channeling his club-rooted background into contemporary disco and electronic soul. On remix duties, the Circulation Mix delves deep and hypnotic already receiving heavyweight support from Laurent Garnier and John Digweed, underlining its club and tastemaker appeal.

Jim Rivers, a proven serial producer and DJ, adds his signature depth and precision, balancing modern floor functionality with timeless underground sensibility.

Rounding out the package Ranj Kaler continues his standout run, currently omnipresent across production, remixes, and DJ sets, delivering contemporary drive while respecting the original’s DNA.

A release that bridges heritage and forward momentum, built for discerning DJs, specialist radio, and late-night systems.

Boogie Vice & N-You-Up Return to Definitive Recordings with 'Decadisco EP'

Definitive Recordings continues its run of forward-thinking house releases with DEF2603, the new four-track 'Decadisco EP' from Boogie Vice and N-You-Up. Following their 2025 collaboration 'Come On Closer', the duo returns to the label with a fresh collection of groove-driven club tools that balance modern energy with classic house foundations. Recent releases on sister label Get Physical Music further underline the duo's strong creative momentum.

Boogie Vice is a French DJ and producer known for his groove-led house sound that blends funk, soul, and percussive club energy. With releases on labels such as Get Physical, Rekids, and Definitive Recordings, he has built a reputation for warm, dancefloor-focused productions supported by tastemakers worldwide. Now based in Cape Town, Boogie Vice has expanded his creative work into film scoring and executive production, adding new depth to his already rich musical palette.

N-You-Up, Southern France native Nick, brings decades of DJ experience and a deep-rooted love for jazz, funk, and disco. Formerly known as The Beatangers, he now channels those influences into a refined house fusion under his N-You-Up alias. Alongside Boogie Vice, his collaborative releases have appeared on labels such as Nervous Records and Get Physical Music, with their joint productions receiving support from key artists including Solomun, Dennis Ferrer, Jamie Jones, Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier, Radio Slave or Mita Gami, firmly establishing the duo as a reliable source of dancefloor-ready house music.

The EP opens with 'Game Concept', a driving house cut built on percussive drums, a rolling classic house bassline, and catchy vocal samples. Dreamy, deep synth chords float above the groove, creating a hypnotic yet energetic opener. 'Wurkin Like Dat' follows with a disco-infused house vibe, stacking groove upon groove as vocal snippets and disco elements take center stage, delivering pure dancefloor momentum. Sound Records proudly presents ‘Morpho’, the debut LP from UK-based producer Benyayer, formerly one-third of celebrated electronic trio Dark Sky. A deeply personal record and a symbolic transition, Morpho captures the emotional and sonic evolution of an artist in metamorphosis.

Having stepped into the solo spotlight following his successful Infiltrator EP, Benyayer (aka Matt) delivers a bold, vinyl release that combines seven previously digital-only tracks with a brand new cut, ‘The Return’, all meticulously curated and pressed for the first time on wax.

Bridging influences from techno, UK bass, Afrofuturism, and electronica, Morpho is a meticulous exploration of rhythm designed to excite, cause chaos, personal reflection and movement. Each track is a raw, rhythmic exploration that draws on his time spent busking on the streets of London with found objects, experimentation with modular synths and years of experience honing his craft as a performer at some of the finest establishments in the electronic music landscape.

This initial vinyl edition is limited to just 300 copies. Designed in collaboration with Harry Cresswell, each sleeve features a deconstructed butterfly motif, laser-cut on both sides of heavy matte stock, paired with a matte-printed inner sleeve and a transparent vinyl disc, making each copy a true collector’s item.

Dino Lenny returns to Rekids with the ‘Piano Lessons at Eight’ EP, complete with a Tal Fussman remix. It follows Lenny’s ‘Not About The Volume’ EP, released in December 2025.

London-based DJ, producer, vocalist, and Fine Human Records label owner Dino Lenny returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with the ‘Piano Lessons at Eight’ EP 24th April 2026, alongside a remix from label regular Tal Fussman. The EP follows Lenny’s ‘Not About The Volume’ EP, which released late 2025, and won support from Laurent Garnier, Chloé Caillet, Catz ‘n Dogz, and more.

‘Piano Lessons at Eight’ centres Lenny’s own vocals over a dark, chugging rhythm that develops steadily, tracing a personal journey from formal piano training to the discovery of electronic music. The biographical thread running through the record gives it an identity that sits apart from purely functional dance music. Rekids regular and Survival Tactics boss Tal Fussman then provides the accompanying remix, a crunchy, percussive rework that brings his characteristic blend of deep house and raw techno to bear, adding melancholic piano stabs that add texture without crowding the arrangement. The outcome is focused, atmospheric, and built for extended play.
