Er hat es wieder getan! „The Mystery Of Time“ markiert quasi den Rücktritt vom Rücktritt, den Tobi Sammet nach der AVANTASIA-Show auf dem „Wacken Open Air“ 2011 verkündet hatte. Mag Sammet damit zwar auch gewissermaßen wortbrüchig geworden sein, so darf man sich in diesem Fall dennoch darüber freuen, denn mit „The Mystery Of Time“ liefert der quirlige Frontmann einen absoluten Geniestreich ab. Im November 2013 veröffentlichte Adel Tawil sein fortan gefeiertes Solo-Debut-Album "Lieder". Anlässlich des 10-jährigen Jubiläums erscheint das Album nun in einer limitierten Neu-Auflage mit exklusivem Album-Cover und als zweifarbige Doppel-LP mit vier Bonustracks, die es bisher nicht auf Vinyl gab.


Die Edition präsentiert sich in einem Gatefold-Design, ist persönlich von Adel Tawil signiert und auf 1.000 Exemplare limitiert und durchnummeriert.

Seine Single „Lieder“, die wie ein chronologischer Soundtrack seines Lebens geschrieben ist, ist zur Pop-Hymne ganzer Generationen in Deutschland geworden und ist mit über einer Millionen verkauften Units einer der erfolgreichsten deutschen Songs in diesem Jahrtausend. Insgesamt kann Adel auf eine über 25 Jahre umspannende Karriere mit Band- und Solo-Projekten zurückblicken.


Nur für seine Solo-Karriere wurde er dabei mit 13 Platin- und 12 Gold-Awards im gesamten deutschsprachigen Raum geehrt. Das Album “Lieder” alleine hat mit mehr als 500.000 verkauften Einheiten einen fünffachen Goldstatus.

'Thin Walls' von 2015 war das dritte Album der belgischen Indie-Band Balthazar. Das Album entstand während die Band auf großer Welt-Tournee zu ihrem Vorgänger Album 'Rats' war und wurde von Ben Hillier produziert, der u.a. für seine Arbeit mit Blur und Depeche Mode bekannt ist. To celebrate the completion of the trilogy the band decided to do a one-off show in front of a seated audience at Cirkus, a classic venue in Stockholm. Due to worldwide restrictions the show had to be replanned and postponed several times until it finally happened on April 10th 2022. After more than two years on hiatus and with the exception of a minor festival gig the year before, this was the band's first performance during that whole period, and it was by far the longest set to date in the band's entire career. All first three releases of the band were to be performed from back to back divided into two acts. Act I consisted of Hällas and Excerpts from a Future Past while Conundrum and two songs from their newly released album Isle of Wisdom were performed in Act II. For the first time people were able to experience these new songs live. Some of the older songs such as Insomnia and Tale of a Tyrant had not been performed for several years. Strider and Blinded by the Emerald Mist had never even been played live before. So Hällas fans from all over the world attending the show were in for an unforgettable evening. With this record you get a slice of that pie in the comfort of your own living room. So please have a seat and enjoy this time capsule, as it is a very good representation of how this band sounded live back then.

A hard one to put in a box when it comes to genre, floating somewhere between italo and synth pop, originally released in Switzerland in 1985. Written by German pop group Hongkong Syndikat, both tracks with a very distinct and soothing sound that's hard to forget.

"Underboard" is very cool paced downtempo number that builds up with layers of subtle percussion lusciously adorned by some heavy saxy reedsmanship and mysterious vocal accents with no real message - 100% chill o'clock served on ice.

Cedar Of Lebanon picks up the tempo a notch, once again setting the scene for the reeds to shine as the catchy melody is presented, beautiful 80's instrumentalism from a golden age, clearly not made in Ableton. B side features a respectful DJ tool style remix by Anatolian Weapons. Remastered at Manmade mastering in Berlin.

Two leading lights of UK house join forces for a special collaboration which delivers every bit as much as you would expect from anything with the Jimpster & Crackazat stamp on. Having been introduced to Crackazat’s vocal and lyric writing on his acclaimed Evergreen LP from last year Jimpster was keen to team up to bring some of that flavour to his own sound. Born out of a desire to stretch outside of their comfort zones, and with a mutual respect for each others productions, the Natural Child EP brings us two original vocal tracks and two dub versions covering a spectrum of moods from classic soulful to deep, atmospheric, contemporary house.

Opening track Natural Child leads the charge with Crackazat’s trademark jazz-influenced piano part, swirling moog lines and vocal being complimented with Jimpster’s punchy drums and warm, rounded bassline. The result is a spacious and deceptively simple track which will wrap you up in its warm confines.

Next up we have a completely different take on Natural Child which ups the BPM and adds a more live, percussive and rolling vibe which will no doubt get the house dancers throwing down.

My Harmony comes next with its slick and soulful sound which draws inspiration from golden era NYC sounds of Blaze and Louie Vega while Nick Cohen’s live bass brings a bounce to the chunky, shuffling house beats.

Closing out the EP we have a dub version of My Harmony which loops up the Rhodes part, strips back the groove and adds layers of FX and arpeggiating synths resulting in a heads-down deep and soulful track to warm up the dance floor.

Another of the albums that Prestige would issue several years after it was recorded, Bahia is drawn from a couple of sessions that the iconic tenor saxophonist recorded for the label in the late 1950s, during a time in which he was exploring different genres with various players, including pianist Red Garland, bassist Paul Chambers, plus drummers Jimmy Cobb and Art Taylor. The album has plenty of Trane hallmarks in the saxophone lead, and there is noteworthy contribution from trumpeter Wilbur Harden on ‘My Ideal’ and Freddie Hubbard on ‘Something I Dreamed Last Night.’ This is simply a great Coltrane listening experience.

A classic UK roots reggae outing, originally appearing on the Goldmaster label in 1998 and fast becoming a collector’s item.
This reissue by Partial Records includes two previously unreleased mixes, vocal and dub.
Featuring Southend On Sea–based Goldmaster All Stars, with the cream of the crop of hot-shot reggae musicians featuring female singer Christel, on her one and only release, who was only 14 years old at the time of this recording.

Search Party is the debut album from pianist, Rupert Cox. Rupert has made a little following for himself already being a respected player for Myele Manzanza, China Moses, Chris Hyson and many more.

His debut album swings between laidback contemporary jazz and swirling electronics. There are mellow and moving moments alongside joyful, uplifting melodies and dancing rhythms.

The record has already won support from people like Deb Grant on BBC Radio 6 Music and is slowly developing an ardent following.

Seit der Gründung im Jahr 2005 haben sich In This Moment aus Los Angeles eine riesige internationale Fanbase erspielt. Unterstützung bekommen die „Mother“-Figur und Sängerin Maria Brink und der Leadgitarrist Chris Howorth (ebenfalls ein Gründungsmitglied) aktuell vom Bassisten Travis Johnson, dem Gitarristen Randy Weitzel und dem Schlagzeuger Kent Diimmel. Besonders ihre gefeierten Live-Shows bescherten den Kaliforniern eine gewaltige Fanbase, weshalb sie ganz beiläufig zu einer der einfluss- und erfolgreichsten Bands des 21. Jahrhunderts avancieren konnten: Inzwischen gehen mehr als 1,3 Milliarden kombinierte Streams aufs Konto der US-Metalcore-Institution.



Nachdem ihnen schon das 2012 veröffentlichte Album Blood US-Gold beschert hatte, konnten zwischenzeitlich neben einem halben Dutzend Gold- und Platinsingles gleich drei Alben in Folge die Top-25 der US-Albumcharts aufmischen: Nach Blood und Black Widow (2014) stieg auch Ritual (2017) direkt auf Platz 23 in die Billboard-200 ein. Auch künstlerisch auf einem ganz neuen Level angekommen, sollten allein die Songs von Ritual seither mehr als eine Viertelmilliarde Streams generieren.



Neben ausverkauften Headliner-Tourneen rund um den Globus füllten sie die größten Stadien auch schon zusammen mit Disturbed und traten dazu bei den größten Festivals auf (u.a. Rockville, Sonic Temple).



Unterwegs zwischen den größten Bühnen war zuletzt das siebte Studioalbum Mother (Roadrunner Records) entstanden, das die US-Band mit dem angestammten Studiopartner Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch) aufgenommen hatte. Waren bei Ritual auch Blues-Elemente in ihrem knallharten Sound aufgetaucht, zog einen Mother schon mit der ersten Single unweigerlich in seinen Bann: Die Auskopplung „The In-Between“ wurde hinterher auch für einen GRAMMY Award nominiert. Im Jahr 2022 veröffentlichten In The Moment die EP Blood 1983 (BMG), ein musikalisches Update zum 10. Jubiläum des Blood-Albums. Außerdem war der Exklusivtitel „I Would Die For You“ auf dem Soundtrack zum Kinofilm John Wick: Chapter 4 zu hören.
