Known for its groundbreaking techno releases, Infrastructure New York, is relaunched! Celebrating 27 years of Function releases this year and the label's 25th anniversary, the label will serve as an outlet for his new material, reissues of out-of-print classics from Synewave, Sandwell District and Ostgut Ton (and of course, Infrastructure), as well as developing new artists. As a member of the Sandwell District collective, David Sumner aka Function, from 2007 onward was instrumental in cultivating and ushering in a new sound of dark, cerebral hypnotica - forcing the hand of change in global techno. Green EP serves as a testament to this, further exploring these depths. The EP pays homage to the day when David arrived in Berlin with his green suitcase where his record "Isolation" on Sandwell District was released, hitting the ground running and springboarding into an incredibly successful career, becoming a stalwart DJ/producer, after years as a struggling artist. Green EP encapsulates the same raw power and hypnotic energy of his genre-defining Sandwell District releases Isolation, Anticipation and Variance, updated with a modern flair. Subject f (Function) has clearly transcended, as expressed through the opening track "Initiation" arriving at his "New Designation". On the b-side Function communicates his divine alignment through the broken beat, etheric "Aeternum (Meridian)". Finally, Function closes Green EP with a live extraction of "Desire and Memory", a brooding club stormer in contrast to the more experimental leanings of the original version, which appeared on Rrose's label Eaux. One thing is clear: Function is back on track and more on form than ever!

Adam Beyer re-links with Green Velvet for their first collaboration in five years, as the muscular ‘Simulator’ takes effect.

Hot off the back of ‘Legend’, an early 2023 highlight, the boss continues his inspired form streak. ‘Simulator’ sees Beyer and Chicago legend Green Velvet re-unite for their first musical outing since ‘Space Date’ in 2018, produced with Layton Giordani. The title track stands as one of the most beloved Drumcode releases of the last decade and reinforces the special musical synergy between Beyer and the Cajual Records founder.

The house band at Memphis's legendary Stax Records, Booker T. & the M.G.'s played on some of the most legendary and unforgettable soul recordings in history. Originally released in 1962, the title-track of their debut LP Green Onions is arguably the most recognizable piece of instrumental pop and soul ever to be released; an absolute stone classic of a jam, with Booker T.'s organ at the fore. Al Green Explores Your Mind is the eighth album by soul singer Al Green. Unlike previous Al Green albums, this album featured the U.S. #7 hit "Sha-La-La (Make Me Happy)", and contains the original version of "Take Me to the River", a song which went to #26 on the Billboard chart when covered by Talking Heads in 1978. In 2004, the song "Take Me to the River" was ranked number 117 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. The album was his fifth consecutive album to claim #1 on the Soul Albums chart, and peaked at #15 on the Pop Albums chart.

The return of the classic Demonstration Tapes double LP on vinyl from the one and only Dolly Mixture. Originally self released in 1984 - this 27 track set collects the band's demos from 1979 to 1983 of perfectly executed pop, indie pop and '60s girl group gems. The sound is raw but the charm and pure-pop songcraft manages to shine through.

Mikal Asher hails from the legendary reggae group Morgan Heritage and he was behind plenty of top musical moments. His vocal work here comes on top of original off stems from disco don Gary Davis, but served up with all-new fire in the form of two mixes by DJ and producer Knoe1 and Warehouse Preservation Society. Knoe1 goes first and flips the OG into boogie-laced funky stepper with squelchy bass and lush melodies. Warehouse Preservation Society then go for a more heavy, percussive and dubbed-out house cut that has tropical sound effects and humid grooves to make you move. All this comes on a mega limited 7" that is sure to vanish in quick time.

One of the most popular instrumental songs ever, “Green Onions” started out as a band jam at a demo recording session for rock’n’roll singer Billy Lee Riley with the famed Stax Records house band. Stax label head Jim Stewart liked what he heard and recorded what would become the basis for the band’s debut album. Christened Booker T. & The M.G.s, they released “Green Onions” with original members Booker T. Jones (organ, piano), Steve Cropper (guitar), Lewie Steinberg (bass), and Al Jackson Jr. (drums) in October 1962. The title track became a worldwide hit, covered by dozens of artists including the Blues Brothers, the Ventures, the Shadows, Deep Purple, Mongo Santamaria and Count Basie.

The deluxe 60th Anniversary Edition of “Green Onions” releases as a 1LP 180g vinyl in a green translucent colorway similar in hue to the vegetable it celebrates plus a 4-page insert, including band photos, Stax Records ephemera and David Ritz’s new liner notes.

Grant Green’s musical style evolved to embrace jazz-funk as the decade turned to 1970. The guitarist’s vibrant album Green Is Beautiful is a highlight of the era with his distinctive tone shining on a set that included covers of James Brown (“Ain’t It Funky Now”), The Beatles (“A Day In The Life”) & Burt Bacharach (“I’ll Never Fall In Love Again”).

This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.

veröffentlicht seine letzten witzig-bissigen Songs "That Fucking
Feeling" nun nochmal über Capitane Records und erstmals auf
LP. Es ist eine rasante und auf den Punkt gebrachte Platte
geworden. Wie auch schon der Vorgänger ENGINE OF PARADISE
überschreitet die LP kaum die 20-Minuten-Marke, aber die die
zehn Songs - nur wenige länger als zwei Minuten - sind ein
Ausbund an hochnervöser, verspielter Kreativität zwischen
Leonard Cohen, Scott Walker und Ben Lee. Mal bis auf Stimme
und Gesang runtergebrochen, mal opulent mit Streichern
arrangiert können die Songs es locker mit den Großtaten der
älteren und jüngeren Vergangenheit Greens aufnehmen. "Ich
wollte etwas veröffentlichen, das zu Hause aufgenommen
wurde. In den guten, alten ,Moldy Peaches"-Tagen habe ich
alles am Küchentisch meiner Eltern aufgenommen. Aber es ist
jetzt auch schon 20 Jahre her, dass ich so einen Song
veröffentlicht habe. Ich habe ein paar Songs in Quarantäne
aufgenommen, die ich direkt in den Laptop eingesungen habe
und ich mag, wie direkt sich das anfühlt." Die CD-Version wurde

Perth-based artistic hub 823, led by producer / creator-extraordinaire Taku, joins forces with producers Idealism & Lucid Green for “Undone,” a genre-melting LP that bridges sonic comfort, textured tones and lush timbres into one serene, 10 track experience. Finnish-born producer and pianist Idealism (1.5mil Spotify Monthly Listeners - SML) and French transplant Lucid Green (568k SML) are no strangers to each other’s subtle, yet potent productions. Having worked together on a number of past releases, their upcoming, fully collaborative LP “Undone” is a natural journey into the beautiful ambient, downtempo, lo-fi worlds they’ve each created. Through visits to Lucid’s flat in Paris and ideas being exchanged remotely, the duo experimented with different sounds, instruments and aural environments, in the process crafting a natural partnership that sits in a comfortable, melancholic pocket. With lulling guitar and poignant piano progressions that provide a pillow to rest your ears, and downtempo percussions that keeps you ebbing and flowing along on a subtle current, unsure where one wave ends and the next begins, only the albums progressions dictate the head-nod.
