In honour of fifty years in the performing arts - dating back to the founding of the legendary band The Pyramids in 1972 - Idris Ackamoor proudly presents "Artistic Being". This special recording features celebrated San Francisco actor, activist, and author Danny Glover, alongside renowned stage actress Rhodessa Jones.

Jones hat mit "Piano Solos For Friends And Loved Ones" (2003) und "Vol. 2" (2007) bereits zwei Solo Piano-Alben veröffentlicht, die es physisch nur bei Konzerten oder über den eigenen Webshop gab. It was the first Daptone album tracked at the renowned "House of Soul", a recording studio handbuilt by Sharon and the rest of the Daptone family in a two story rental in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The album has gone on to sell over 200,000 records, with hit singles "How Long Do I Have To Wait?" and "This Land is Your Land" streaming in the hundreds of millions- staggering figures for a wholly independent release.

Up to this point Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings had yet to reach an audience outside of dingy, hole-in-the-wall clubs, dive bars, and underground DJ parties, attended by only the most in-the-know. This was the scene where the band began to flourish, developing the sound that would forever alter the musical landscape and set a lofty new bar for what could be considered real-deal soul music. It made Daptone a household name and opened doors for countless musicians and record labels to come. Naturally sparked a renaissance that is still vibrating today- a testament to Sharon Jones' legacy as the undisputed, reigning Queen of Heavyweight Soul.

Gregg Green brings his signature soulful sound which is perfectly complemented by the musical production style's of Pimpernel Jones (Herma Puma). Both sharing a deep-rooted passion for creating soulful, engaging music that uplifts and inspires their listeners.

Title track 'Hypocrite' is a calling out to the hypocrisy of the ruling entities in power. The B side 'You'll See' is meant as a warning for those entering the field of dreams to be aware and stay strong in their values.

verkaufte sich in Großbritannien über 1 Million Mal und wurde mit 3fach-Platin ausgezeichnet. Es erreichte Platz 1 der offziellen Compilation-Charts in Großbritannien und wurde seit seiner Veröffentlichung
weltweit über 25 Millionen Mal gestreamt.
In enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Executive Producer für die Soundtracks der Serie, Nick Angel, wurde
dieses „Best of“ Bridget Jones zusammengestellt, das eine Reihe von beliebten Tracks aus der berüchtigten
Welt von Bridget Jones enthält. Enthalten sind Hits aus den ersten drei Filmen, von denen die Soundtracks noch nie auf Vinyl veröffentlicht wurden, sowie eine Auswahl von Songs aus „Mad About The Boy”,
