Alongside Bérurier Noir, Parabellum and Les Wampas, Ludwig Von 88 is a major figure in French punk – or alternative rock, call it what you will. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of their cult debut album Houlala, Archives de la Zone Mondiale is releasing a limited edition (gold sleeve and disc), an identical reissue of an ultra-confidential (and highly sought-after!) gold pressing released in 1986. ‘Pololop’, ‘HLM’, ‘Marche’, “Bilbao”, ‘Bière et Punk’ are hits that Ludwig continue to play live today in their colourful, joyful and chaotic performances.

A favourite selector for many within the underground, UK-born, Ibiza-based Miller has built a reputation for his hypnotic, low-end-led productions and seamless ability to weave obscure rhythmic patterns into immersive DJ sets. Founder of the Real Gang collective, he honed his craft as a resident at Ibiza institutions The Zoo Project and Ibiza Underground, where his dynamic, vinyl-focused style earned him recognition as a key player in the island’s grassroots scene. This natural progression has since led to the launch of Tomodachi, his new club, an intimate space that refl ects his artistic ethos and evolving infl uence on the island.

Harley Maxwell, meanwhile, brings a raw energy to the project, blending his sharp vocal delivery and lyrical edge with Miller’s meticulous production style. Their collaborative debut at fabric, during Miller’s all-night set, showcased a shared ability to push conventional boundaries, as they provided a fi rst glimpse into the music that would in turn become ‘Caviar’.

The EP opens with the title cut, a stripped-back yet infectious roller that glides between deep basslines, textured percussion, and subtle melodic fl ourishes. ‘How It Runs’ follows with its sharp drum work, zippy synths, and a playful groove built for the dancefl oor. Rounding off the release, the vinyl-only ‘Dreaming Experience’ sees Miller step out solo as he delves into deeper territories with hazy atmospherics, creating a tripped-out late-night journey. Arriving at a pivotal moment for both artists, their ‘Caviar’ EP signals a bold debut on FUSE – a label celebrated for its commitment to forward-thinking club music.

A truly unique voice, Giggs’ combination of slow flow, dark lyrics, a well-documented past and explosive street sales saw him hailed as one of the most exciting voices in British rap. He first burst onto the scene in 2008 with his debut ‘Talkin The Hardest’ a freestyle which has become one of British rap’s biggest anthems (over 12M views at YouTube). Giggs’ sold tens of thousands of copies of his mixtapes on his own SN1 (Spare No 1) label and won 2008’s BET Award for Best British Hip Hop Act before signing to XL Recordings for his iconic debut proper, ‘Let Em Ave It’ in 2010. 15 years on the album gets its first ever release on vinyl, featuring bonus tracks from the era that originally appeared as singles, including ‘Talking The Hardest’ and ‘Slow Songs’ featuring The Streets’ Mike Skinner.

Our favorite six-string shaman is waving that axe around again! Sir Richard Bishop wrenches forth fresh damnable truth and beauty from a musical kamikaze run through histories both known and unknown. Turning a gimlet eye to the American Primitive guitar style, Sir Rick applies his own bloodthirsty interpretive methods on a self-described "excursion into the dark woods," to locate - and play along with - the Primitive"s moonshine-fed inner savage.

Was hat es mit dieser ,Augendisko" auf sich? Man hat sofort ein Bild vor seinem geistigen Auge: funkelnd, glänzend, leuchtend, irgendwie speziell. Das passt auch ganz wunderbar. Dabei war der Auslöser für die ,Augendisko" vergleichsweise banal. Marcus Heider (als sein Alter Ego ,John Krempl" Kopf der Band) war nach dem letzten Album gezwungen, sich mehreren Augenoperationen auszusetzen. An sich eine natürlich unangenehme, aber letztlich auch seltsame und fast überirdische Erfahrung. Wie beschreibt man das Flimmern und die Farben, die vor einem tanzen, wenn man im Dämmerzustand auf dem OP-Tisch liegt? Richtig, ,Augendisko" trifft es am besten. Die ,Augendisko", die dem Album seinen Titel gibt, ist ein Sehnsuchtsort - bizarr, bunt, vielfältig wie die Musik. Und das Geheimnis rund um die Augenklappe von John Krempl haben wir nun auch gelüftet. Es ist kein modisches Accessoire, sondern eine Notwendigkeit bei der Real Life Bildschirmarbeit und somit willkommener Teil des Bühnenoufits. Songs: Wir treffen uns in der ,Augendisko", eine ungestüme und hymnische Rocknummer, die auf ein furioses Bass-Schlagzeugfinale zusteuert. ,Johnny gegen den Rest der Welt" ist ein Streifzug durch das Leben von Johnny, dem Protagonisten vieler Love God Chaos-Songs. Der bisher längste Love God Chaos-Song ist aufbereitet wie eine üppige, ungewöhnliche und überraschende Netflix-Serie, getragen vom Czech Film Orchestra. Der wohl bisher thematisch ungewöhnlichste Song in der Karriere der Grazer Band ist ,Im Kopf von Lisa Eckhart". Ein dunkles und groovendes Lied, das weniger Hommage sein will, sondern eher eine Unterstellung ist. Wer weiß schon, was in den Köpfen anderer vor sich geht? Egal, Hauptsache es ist ,alles wunderbar". ,Bistro d'Amour" ist eine schelmische Abrechnung mit den Ex-Freunden von Johnnys Liebster. Was tun, wenn gar nichts mehr hilft? Love God Chaos empfehlen ,Mach dein Voodoo". Nach der lässigen und zugänglichen Nummer geht es weiter mit ,Muss das so laut sein". Ein Satz, den wohl jede Musikerin und jeder Musiker schon mal gehört hat. ,Hoffentlich Henri" ist ein opulentes Weltraumepos, das abhebt und sich mit einem Textzitat vor den Größten verbeugt. Der Schluss hat es nochmal in sich. ,Alle gehen, keiner bleibt" beginnt folkig und mit luftigen Harmonies, ufert aber letztlich aus. Ein Song wie eine Matrjoschka, überraschend bis zum Schluß

Auf ,Wo das Meer am tiefsten ist" ist keine reine Gitarrenband mehr zu hören. Neben ineinander verzahnten Gitarren hört man Posaune, Klavier, Sitar, Satelliten und zufallende Türen. Der Motor der Band ist Sehnsucht. Ein Nährboden für epische und opulente Songs, die gegen den Strich gebürstet sind, über das Radiosongformat hinauswachsen und keine Scheu vor großen Melodien haben.

Open Close is an album that captures the flow and energy of a live performance through the lens of a deft craftsman, an equilibrium of intuitive composition and the excitement of possibility.

Two Seminal albums from cult Ghanaian musician Alhaji K. Frimpong and his group the Cubano Fiestas, recorded in 1976 and 1977 respectively and considered to be some of the best highlife albums ever recorded, at the pinnacle of West African musical tradition and innovation. Both originally self titled, they have become known by the colour of the covers - Blue and Black respectively. The Blue Album brings new arrangements to traditional Ghanaian melodies and features the masterpiece Kyenkyen Bi Adi M"awu (come back my love) - universally known in Ghana, covered and sampled by artists such as Chronnix, Gnarls Barkley and many more. The Black Album expands the electronic elements and features the equally visionary Hwehwe Mu Na Yi Wo Mpena, although the real gem is hiding on the B side: the extended groove of "Adam Nana". Sinuously evolving guitar lines, clavinet vamps, harmonised vocal snatches and otherworldly percussion expand and contract over a full quarter of an hour - a Ghanaian repost to the Afro Jazz experiments going on at the same time on the other side of the Atlantic. Although popular in Ghana at the time of the release, the albums were never distributed internationally and original copies of the album are extremely rare. The albums got a limited reissue in 2011 and have been unavailable since - even reissue copies sell for high prices on the second hand market.

'Oh Snap' features twelve very personal songs by Salvant (plus a cover of a verse from the Commodores’ 1977 hit “Brick House), mostly recorded outside of a traditional studio environment, and which showcase her genre-spanning tastes and influences. The MacArthur Fellow and three-time Grammy-winning singer and composer wrote these short, intimate songs as part of a creative quest: to place spontaneity and joy at the centre of her writing process, and originally recorded them alone, at home, never intending for them to be released, using digital tools and effects that she had never played with before, like GarageBand, Logic, AutoTune, Midi plugins, drum loops, vocal effects, reverb, and filters. Frank Sinatra gilt als erster und ohne Zweifel größter Pop-Star aller Zeiten. Daran, dass er auch eine
Jazzgröße war, erinnert diese Doppel-LP mit zwei großen Kollegen. Sie enthält seine Zusammenarbeit mit
zwei Giganten des Jazz auf den inzwischen legendären Alben “It Might As Well Be Swing“ mit Count Basie
und ”Francis A. & Edward K.“ mit Duke Ellington.
Diese beiden Jazz-Höhepunkte Frank Sinatras Karriere erscheinen hier erstmals zusammen als hochwertige Doppel-LP, neu remastert von den Archivbändern und in einer attraktiven Gatefold-Hülle, die seltene
Fotos und die damalige Grafik der Originalhüllen beinhaltet.
Das erste der beiden Alben, ”It Might As Well Be Swing“, erschien erstmals im August 1964. Sinatra
sang darauf zum zweiten Mal nach dem Hit-Album ”Sinatra-Basie“ (1962) zehn Stücke begleitet von Basie
und seinem Orchester. Es war Sinatras erstes von Quincy Jones, einem weiteren Jazz-Giganten, arrangiertes
Studioalbum. 1968 erschien das Album ”Francis A. & Edward K.“, das Sinatra erstmals mit Duke Ellington
und seiner Big Band zusammenbrachte. Zu Ellingtons Orchester gehörten damals Jazzlegenden wie Johnny
Hodges, Cootie Williams, Cat Anderson und Paul Gonsalves. Billy May, der langjährige Arrangeur von
Sinatra, orchestrierte das Album.

”Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale” ist der Soundtrack zum letzten Film der Downton Abbey Serie. Die
Musik wurde erneut vom mehrfach ausgezeichneten Komponisten John Lunn geschrieben, der für seine
bisherige Musik für die Downton Abbey Serie bereits 2 Primetime Emmys erhalten hat.
Der Film begleitet die Familie Crawley in den 1930er Jahren. Die beliebten Charaktere suchen nach

Frank Zappas episches Album „One Size Fits All“ aus dem Jahr 1975 feiert sein 50-jähriges Jubiläum
mit einem weiteren vollgepackten Multi-Disc-Box-Set mit 75 % unveröffentlichtem Material. Die Box enthält vier CDs mit dem 2012 von der Legende Bob Ludwig neu gemasterten Hauptalbum sowie anderthalb
Discs mit Studio-Outtakes, Live-Konzerten, Work-Mixes und relevanten Vault-Tracks. Die Live-Besetzung
bestand aus der klassischen 6-köpfigen Band mit George Duke und Ruth Underwood.Ruth Underwood
steuerte auch neue Linernotes für das Paket bei, zusammen mit historischen Essays von David Fricke und
„Vaultmeister“ Joe Travers. Das Booklet zum 50. Jahrestag enthält außerdem neu veröffentlichte Fotos
von Sam Emerson.
Die Blu-Ray Disc enthält brandneue Dolby Atmos- und 5.1-Mischungen direkt von den 24-Spur-Masterbändern
des Albums, Hi-Res-Versionen des Hauptalbums und zwei Bonus-Surround-Tracks mit alten Mixes von
Zappa selbst. Außerdem sind zwei Bonusvideos von den klassischen KCET-TV-Dreharbeiten enthalten, die

Am 26. 9. 2005 erschien mit Fortschritt unser siebtes deutschsprachiges Album auf unserem bandeigenen Label Dritte Wahl Records. Zu hören gibt es 13 neue Songs, eine Coverversion des Rote Gitarren Hits Weißes Boot und eine plattdeutsche Fassung von Hoch im Norden. Musikalisch und textlich geht es quer durch den Gemüsegarten: Da gibt es schnelle, harte, politische Stücke, groovige Songs mit Geschichten aus dem Leben, Reggae-Beats bis hin zum vollakustischen Lied Auf der Flucht in dem es um Abschied, Hoffnung und natürlich auch um Busch"n (Bassisten und Gründungsmitglied von DRITTE WAHL) geht, der im Januar des Jahres 2005 nach schwerer Krankheit verstorben ist. Unterstützt wurden wir bei den Aufnahmen durch Kollegen von Corvus Corax, den Crushing Caspars, Daily Terror, Final Virus, Freygang, Höart! Höart! Höart!, Lady Godiva, Mainpoint und Tanzwut. Zwanzig Jahre später erscheint nun eine Jubiläumsausgabe des Albums auf Kassette.

"Later Than You Think" erscheint bei seinem neuen Label YOUNG und beschäftigt sich mit Themen wie Trauer, Gerechtigkeit, Wiedergeburt, Transformation und spirituellem Kampf. Es ist ein Werk von Bekenntnis und Konfrontation, für das sich Affekt, Intellekt und Geist auf der Suche nach dem Schönen, der Wahrheit und dem Realen zusammenschließen. Entstanden ist das Album in den Ozarks von Missouri. Die 16 Tracks vereinen Elemente und Gegensätze wie Üppigkeit und rohe Reduziertheit, das Heilige und das Profane, minimalistische Disziplin und maximale Schwelgerei, Kontrapunkt und simple Popharmonien. Im Kern unterstreicht das Album aber vor allem Maus" Hingabe an radikale Aufrichtigkeit und emotionale Wahrhaftigkeit in einem Zeitalter der Entfremdung - angetrieben von Konfrontation, Glauben und der tiefen Überzeugung, dass Sinn und Bedeutung noch immer etwas meinen. Maus, der einen Abschluss in Experimental Music und einen Doktortitel in Politikwissenschaft hat, wurde für die Art und Weise, auf die er akademische Sorgfalt und Lo-Fi Synthpop-Ästhetik verbindet, mal als "philosopher pop star" mal als "analog futurist" bezeichnet. Sein Wirken zieht sich dabei quer durch die Popkultur - von der Grime-Ikone Skepta, der seinen Track "I"m Only Human" sampelte bis zum Gen-Z-Rapper nettspend, von Filmemacher Josh Safdie ("Uncut Gems") bis zum Fotografen Wolfgang Tillmans. Sein Track "Cop Killer" ist im 2025er Film "Friendship" mit Tim Robinson und Paul Rudd enthalten. Mit exzessiven Liveshows und seinen bislang erschienenen Alben, auf denen Ironie, Trauer, Freude und Absurdität stets dicht beieinander liegen, hat Maus einen einzigartigen Weg beschritten und sich eine ergebene Fanbase erspielt.

Zwei Garagen-Generationen treffen aufeinander! Reverend Beat-Man, das Schweizer Ein-Mann-Orchester und der König des Blues Trash, trifft auf Milan Slick, eine echt dunkle Seele und vielleicht Reinkarnation von Nick Cave (ach, noch zugegen)/Johnny Thunders, um Rock'n'Roll zu spielen, der so frisch und lebendig, wild und düster ist wie nie zuvor. Reverend Beat-Man und Milan Slick lernten sich 2020 inmitten der Pandemie kennen, als sie einen Soundtrack für den Vampirfilm "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night" von Ana Lily Amirpour schrieben. Zusammen spielten sie Gigs bei Super Sonic Records oder im legendären SO36 in Berlin, um dann gemeinsam mit Beatrice Graf und Benjamin Glaus ein Album unter dem Namen "Reverend Beat-Man & The Underground" zu produzieren (im Rahmen des Rocklette PALP Festivals), eine makabre Tanzparty zum Untergang der Menschheit. Als Nächstes nahmen der superprimitive Rock 'n` Roll-Trash-Hi-Energy-Lo-Fi Reverend Beat-Man und der raffinierte, clevere, verspielte und düstere Milan Slick ihr erstes gemeinsames Album im ehemaligen Züri West Studio mit Sebastian Zwahlen und dem einzigartigen Robert Butler von Miracle Workers auf. Reverend Beat-Man ist eigentlich eine Ein-Mann-Band mit einer Mission: Blues-Trash und wilden Rock'n'Roll. Geboren 1967 in Bern, Schweiz, im Sommer der Liebe und des Hasses, ist er seit 1992 auf Tour, zuerst als Lightning Beat-Man, dann als Reverend Beat-Man One-Man-Band und mit seiner Band The Monsters. Er spielte in ganz Europa, Nord- und Südamerika, Japan, Vietnam, Neuseeland, Australien, Afrika, CBGBs, Montreux Jazz, Muddy Roots usw. Er ist der Gründer von Voodoo Rhythm Records (1992). Wäre er Politiker, würden ihn sogar seine Feinde respektieren (die Regierung). Er wurde 2014 für den Schweizer Musikpreis nominiert, gewann den lokalen Musikpreis als einflussreichster Musiker in Bern (Hauptstadt der Schweiz) und betreibt dort einen Platten- und Souvenirladen. Der Singer-Songwriter Milan Slick (Jahrgang 2004) steht noch ganz am Anfang seiner Karriere, hat aber bereits mit namhaften Künstlern wie Mario Batkovic oder Birdman Jäggi oder seiner eigenen Band Fatigues zusammengearbeitet. In seiner Musik sind Einflüsse von u.a. Nick Cave bis David Bowie zu hören, aber auch, dass sich eine eigenwillige junge Stimme herauskristallisiert, von der wir in Zukunft hoffentlich noch viel hören werden.
