Infinite Sky, a stacked backing band consisting of longtime
bassist and contributing writer Mick Mayer, pianist John
Carroll Kirby (Solange, Steve Lacy), Spoon keyboardist
Alex Fischel, guitarist Jackson MacIntosh (Drugdealer,
Jessica Pratt), pedal-steel player Connor Gallaher (Black
Lips, Calexico), and TOPS drummer Riley Fleck.
Within the first few moments of the self-titled new album,
Honey Harper and The Infinite Sky deliver a dashed-off
statement on the trappings of country music. Despite the
high level of conceptualization that went into its creation,
the record embodies an irresistibly loose and grooveheavy sound that hits with an immediate impact. While
previous album, ‘Starmaker’, was touted as “country music
for people who don’t like country music,” ‘Honey Harper &
The Infinite Sky’ is “country music for everyone.”

Ever since jazz took its bop and free turn, each generation solved this eternal equation: how do you reconcile serious music and simple pleasure? On each of these occasions opinion was divided between orthodoxy and hedonism.

Trained in the theoretical rigours of classical music and jazz, experts on their instruments, and brought up on hip-hop culture, techno and house club scenes, Matthieu Llodra and Arthur Donnot - composers of KUMA – go against the conventional rules because they like to challenge their musical boundaries.

"Honey & Groat" is just like a bear (KUMA in Japanese, emblem of the band): behind the sweetness and apparent placidity, plenty of power. The resulting urban groove is reminiscent of 70's soul jazz with a contemporary sound: where instrumental talent meets pop simplicity.

Another Boogie-Funk records repress for the 1st time. Recorded in Lagos, Nigeria in 1982. Features the great Nkono Teles on clavinet and electric piano and Jojo Kuo, drummer who played with Manu Dibango and Fela Kuti among others.

Some musicians take a while to build an audience and connect with fans but for
the Los Angeles-based quartet Dirty Honey, success came right out of the gate.
Released in March 2019, the band's debut single, "When I'm Gone," became the
first song by an unsigned artist to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock
chart. Their second single, "Rolling 7s," went into the Top 5 and was still headed
up when Covid changed everything. That same year, Dirty Honey opened for The
Who, Guns 'N Roses, Slash, and Alter Bridge and was the "do-not-miss-band" at
major rock festivals such as Welcome to Rockville, Rocklahoma, Louder Than
Life, Heavy MTL, and Epicenter. On its first U.S. headline tour in January and
February 2020, the band sold out every date.

'Observations + Descriptions' durch Two Gentlemen! Auf dem neuen Album finden sich zwölf Tracks voller offener, agiler und sich entwickelnder Emotionen - wie mit einem scharfen und subtilen Messer geschnitten.
Das Trio, bestehend aus Sami Benhadj Djilali (Gitarre und Gesang), Philippe Oberson (Bass und Gesang) und Christian Pahud (Schlagzeug und Gesang), entstand Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts in Lausanne. Als damals die Post-Rock-Szene aufblühte krönten Honey For Petzi diesen Prozess mit ihren packenden Rhytmen, schwachen Beats, Fallen und Synkopen. Diese Ästhetik hat im Laufe der Jahre über die herausragenden Alben der Band - insbesondere Heal All Monsters (produziert von Steve Albini) und Nicholson (2003), beide auf Two Gentlemen - mehrere Mutationen erfahren.
Ende 2021 veröffentlichten Honey for Petzi mit 'Écoute' ein neues Stück: Die ungeraden Taktarten, die das bisherige Schaffen des Trios kennzeichneten, sind zwar vorhanden, werden aber durch eine einen befreienden Impuls ergänzt, den man so noch nicht gehört hatte. Grammatikalisch gesehen könnte 'Écoute' in zwei Kategorien eingeordnet werden: als Substantiv (die Handlung des Zuhörens), aber vielleicht auch als Imperativ. Dies impliziert: alles ist möglich.
Und in der Tat: Dieser Track ist sowohl ein Vorspann als auch eine Einladung, das gesamte Album 'Observations + Descriptions' zu entdecken, das heute veröffentlicht wird. Die Band erklärt gemeinsam die Entstehung des Al bums wie folgt: 'Es war Ende 2018, als wir auf die Idee kamen, wieder zusammen zu spielen. Verständlich! Diese Platte enthält ein ganzes Arsenal an Waffen. Treibende Steigerungen: Apnée (welcher Ende 2021 auch als Single veröffentlicht wurde), Island oder Géométrie zeichnen sich durch eine polyrhythmische Raserei aus, die den Weg für verrückte Tänze ebnet. Echorec geht sogar noch einen Schritt weiter: ein wuchtiger Bass, eine vielschichtige Gitarre: ein reines Meisterwerk an Energie und Seltsamkeit - wie Kawasaki und sein parodistischer und trockener Humor, inspiriert
von dem Paar Bardot/Gainsbourg.
Lasst es uns noch einmal von der Band selbst hören: 'Wir haben da weitergemacht, wo wir mit 'General Thoughts and Tastes' aufgehört haben. Es war ein Album, das bereits mehr ‘Pop’-Formate enthielt, als wir zuvor gemacht hatten.' Die ätherische Subtilität anderer Tracks auf 'Observations + Descriptions' (wie Infini oder Dog even) mit ihren herzzerreissenden Akkorden zeugt von einer Wende, die zudem mit einer grösseren Risikobereitschaft einhergeht: 'Neu an diesem Album ist
die (signifikante) Präsenz von Titeln, die auf Französisch gesungen werden. Dies ist ein fruchtbarer Schritt, der uns direkt in die Poesie von Benhadj Djilali, Oberson und Pahud führt: etwas, das gleichzeitig eine Form der Detailgenauigkeit, des halbautomatischen Schreibens und der Melancholie, manchmal sogar der elegischen Ekstase ist.'
'Observations + Descriptions', und das ist seine tour de force, schafft es, diese Wege, von denen man annehmen könnte, dass sie parallel verlaufen oder sich gar kreuzen, zu einer mehr als kohärenten Einheit zu verbinden. Calling all old souls, wild childs & real gone gals, here comes the brand spankin’ new solo debut from Kevin Preston (PrimaDonna/Green Day, etc.)! It’s a hot shot of new-old-stock rock n roll that rolls as much as it rocks; strolls as much as it struts; and shuffles as much as it stomps. Close My Eyes slow-burns like a long drag on a Lucky Strike. I Know Where I Stand channels the spirit of fellow Valley boy, the late Ritchie Valens. Caprice is a slapback-drenched rockabilly rave up that sounds like a rumble between the ghosts of Alan Vega, Vince Taylor & Gene Vincent. Kevin cut his teeth in the early 2000’s as a teenager playing guitar in a revamped lineup of original 70’s-era Los Angeles punks The Skulls. Then he started up the rock group Prima Donna, moving to center stage as lead singer. Prima Donna toured relentlessly, slowing down only to knock out a few records along the way & strike up a band-romance with Green Day who took them on tour a few times. That connection led to Kevin joining forces on guitar with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong on two side-hustle bands over the years; Foxboro Hot Tubs (in 2008) and The Longshot (in 2018). In 2019, Kevin joined the Green Day band as touring guitarist/backing vocalist. I was at Dodger Stadium the last time I saw Kevin Preston. There he was, that sweet kid from the Valley who I met at the turn of the century when we were on the Warped Tour together, now plying the boards at Chavez Ravine with Green Day. Man, the fuckin’ Beatles played their 2nd to last show ever there back in 1966! But along with all that stadium rock, our boy is now moonlighting as a solo artist & going back to the basics.... So, dig these new numbers & enjoy the ride, baby!

Honey Soundsystem Records (aka HNYTRX) is pleased to present its final twelve inch of 2016, the 'Sensual Works' EP by Beesmunt Soundsystem. Unbeknownst to each other, the Honey crew in San Francisco and the Beesmunt duo in Amsterdam have been brothers from another mother working away in their respective zones for years. A bit of internet sleuthing and the two entities found each other, perplexed by the similarities in namesake and good vibes. Before exchanging a single word, earlier this year David and Luigi of Beesmunt sent Honey some demos. They were a declaration of peace and understanding of sorts and both "sound systems" immediately fell into one. The three tracks romanced all the Honey sensibilities including references to San Francisco 80's Hi-HRG synths, early House drum machine workouts, and melodic lines you can make-out on a dancefloor to. To make the marriage official, Honey enlisted its own Jason Kendig to remix the A-side into a no-nonsense thumper with a heart of gold. We think these tunes are going to become as reliable on the dancefloor as the Sequential Circuits drum sounds and DX7 patches they employ. Whether it be ending sets with the euphoric Blissed Out' or peak-time banging call and response of Playin' Myself', Honey finally shares its best kept secret weapons of the year with the eager public.

Oliver Wood is a mainstay of modern-day American roots music. The frontman of the Wood Brothers since 2004, he's spent the 21st century blurring the boundaries between folk, gospel, country-soul, and Americana, earning an international audience and a Grammy Award-nomination along the way. Always Smilin', his debut as a solo artist, continues that tradition while also shining new light on Oliver's sharp songwriting, savvy guitar chops, and a voice that evokes the swagger of a Saturday evening picking party one moment and the solemnity of a Sunday morning gospel service the next. Always Smilin' is an album of bridges, mixing a wide range of collaborations with a uniquely personal touch. Guests include bandmates from Oliver's musical past and present, from mentor and co-writer Chris Long (who performed alongside Oliver in King Johnson, the roots-rock band that dominated Atlanta's music scene around the turn of the millennium) to percussionist Jano Rix (Oliver's partner in The Wood Brothers). Blues heroine Susan Tedeschi, Hiss Golden Messenger's Phil Cook, Medeski Martin & Wood's John Medeski, Tedeschi Trucks Band's Tyler Greenwell, Nashville staple Phil Madeira, and singer/songwriter Carsie Blanton also make appearances, with Rebecca Wood — Oliver's wife — handling the album's handmade linocut cover art. For Oliver, the goal was simple: to collaborate freely with a mix of old friends and new partners, embracing a new level of independence.

Hong Kong based hypno-tropicalia duo Blood Wine or Honey are set to release their second album 'DTx2' on 30th June 2021. Made up of seasoned multi-instrumentalists James Banbury (synths, bass, percussion, cello) and Joseph von Hess (vocals, clarinet, sax, percussion), they create a heaving, heady brew of brazen sax themes, lo-fi/hi-tech electronics, densely layered cello inflections and motorik drums.

These explorations start with the dance-floor then go above and beyond, taking notes from post-punk and tropical polyrhythms, always anchored by the bass weight of the sound system. Their distinctive sound is created in the industrial warehouses and hidden rural settlements of Hong Kong, surrounded by the low-end throb of heavy machinery, the lingering scent of hand sanitiser and the humidity of the South China Sea.

Written and recorded during 2020-21, new album 'DTx2' looks ahead to an uncertain future, drawing deep on their experiences and influences and welcoming a host of co-conspirators.

Jean Daval, aka Preservation (credits include Yasiin Bey fka Mos Def, MF Doom, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, KRS-One, Aesop Rock), provided truffle-hunted beats, synths and basses, which, when put through the BWoH mangle, emerged as 'Messenger'.

Superstar and old friend of the band KT Tunstall came to work with BWoH after they contributed a DJ mix for her lockdown 'KTRave' on Instagram. 'Attraction' was the result. Wonky bass, found-bounce beats and Buddy Rich drums smashed out by Tim Weller (Marc Almond, Future Sound of London, Goldfrapp, The Chemical Brothers, David Axelrod) resulted in a bonkers production with passionate vocals and layers of harmony.

'I Shall Rush Out As I Am' is a collaboration with legendary pop provocateur Paul Morley and Janice Lau of Hong Kong band David Boring. The track is based on the words and the spirit of sci-fi writer, satirist, literary critic and radical feminist Joanna Russ and took shape quickly, with tinges of A Certain Ratio and memories of Suicide, provoking Janice to an authentic scream-of-consciousness delivery.

Multi-talented London singer, musician and composer Kamal (Neighbourhood Recordings) took time away from being the Next Big Thing to transform 'Testing Time' with funk-edged keys. A key figure in the extraordinary '90s Hong Kong music scene, Zoë Brewster contributed vocals.

Roughly divided, the album's first set of songs make relatively short statements, punchily self-contained with common threads. The final four tracks, Testing Time, Embers, Embrasure

and Echt Embrace disperse into flights of mantric fantasy, with quicksand time-signature shifts and key-changes emerging into a more introspective zone with a fervent pulse, a shift in energy: stamina over speed.

Phillips, Black Honey Having last week been pre-empted by the landing of their colossal new single ‘Run For Cover’, today Black Honey have announced their brand-new album – ‘Written & Directed’. ‘Written & Directed’ will be released on the 29 th of January 2021 on Foxfive Records. ‘Written & Directed’ is Black Honey’s second album. It follows their outstanding self-titled debut released back in 2018 when the world that surrounded the Brighton four piece looked and felt like a very different place. Black Honey however are still the bad-ass, truly original band they have always been, they’ve just graduated from the intriguingly anomalous newcomers to becoming one of UK indie’s most singular outfits. They've travelled the world and released a Top 40 album; graced the cover of the NME and become the faces and soundtrack of Roberto Cavalli's Milan Fashion Week show; smashed Glastonbury and supported Queens of the Stone Age, all without compromising a shred of the wild, wicked vision they first set out with. The Honey Cone (Carolyn Willis, Edna Wright and Shellie Clark) charted nine R&B hits, including two number 1s, ‘Stick Up’ and ‘Want Ads’, the latter of which also reached number 1 on the US pop charts
This is their 1972 album released on Hotwax / Invictus Records. Their fourth studio album that is seen as a hidden classic with stand out tracks ‘Who’s Lovin’ You’, ‘Stay In My Corner’, ‘Ace In The Hole’ and the much sampled ‘Innocent ‘Til Proven Guilty’ Reissued with original artwork with printed inner sleeve and pressed on 180g heavyweight classic black vinyl.

Black Sheep – and their 1991 ‘A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ album - were definitely an outlier in the Native Tongues fold. They were raunchier and more playful than their peers which, given that those peers were A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and Jungle Brothers, is really saying something.

‘Strobelite Honey’ catches that difference perfectly, leaning heavily on a pair of 1980 disco samples rather than the jazz of their brethren, and taking a somewhat less chivalrous approach to women. ‘Strobelite’s slender but fun narrative sees rapper Dres up in the club and fooled by the lights – approaching a girl he likes the look off but backing off when they reveal she’s not what he expected. Charmed, we’re sure.

Dres and his partner Mr. Lawnge were always willing to push boundaries, and that extends to the often confusing labelling of the various remixes of this choice single. 12”s dropped with the ‘No We Didn’t Mix’, ‘Yes We Did Mix’ and ‘Maybe We Did Mix’ (not to mention a separate 12” of House mixes).

The last and best of these accompanied the original version on the now-rare 1991 7”, as it does here. The ‘Maybe We Did Mix’ adds urgent horns - almost like the buzzing of a bee - and a new beat to completely reconfigure the sound into something much more of its era. It’s a reminder of when remixes were about much more than the same beat with different rappers.

THE JUST BROTHERS were Jimmy and Frank Bryant and are best known for their throw-away instrumental 'Sliced Tomatoes' that first graced the scene at Blackpool Mecca. 'Carlena' is a different beast altogether, a powerful slice of gritty up-tempo soul propelled by various members of Motown's Funk Brothers. A collector's item that was first picked up by Wigan Casino DJ Richard Searling on a visit to Soul Bowl circa 1976-7, a trip that also produced the first copy of The Honey Bees' 'Let's Get Back Together', both on the Garrison label, reputedly part-owned by Mike Terry, and both incredibly rare, approaching a combined $5,000 in today's market!
THE HONEY BEES were an in demand, for-hire, backing vocal group working the New York circuit in the mid-Sixties and can be heard, in fine voice, supporting Jack Montgomery (real name Marvin Jones) on his superb Barracuda 45 'Don't Turn Your Back on Me'. Here they deliver their own, much deserved, recording, co-written by Don Mancha and Wigan's adopted son, the late, great Edwin Starr.

“Miss Honey” by Moi Rene was an underground New York anthem during the early 90’s. While the artist and the song never fully got the acclaim it deserved, it’s originality and authenticity was strong enough to sustain its reputation as a must have track for any DJ who wanted to inject some raw and real NYC underground vibes into their set.

Through a series of memorable releases, the production team known as SRVD has emerged as one of the worldwide DJ community’s most original and innovative talents. Consisting of renowned producer Radio Slave and Performance arsist Partrick Mason, SRVD has done a remix that retains the New York-in-the-90’s edge of the vocal, while adding a techno – laced rocket fueled beat and synth that have made the track an immediate favorite of headlining DJ’s worldwide. Entitled Moi Honey, the SRVD remix package consists of a vocal and instrumental version.

The DJs Pareja have been flagging they’re a DJ duo in love long before the recent trend. ‘Pareja’ literally translates as ‘couple’, and that is just how Diego and Mariano do life; in tandem. It may not seem so radical these days, but the Pareja’s have been unapologetically queer trailblazers in their hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina - throwing raves and putting out pop dance records for decades. It took us years to get these boys to come play for us in San Francisco, but when they finally did, minutes off the plane we were hugging and shedding a little tear in front of the Castro theatre sign. I always knew that one day we would get them on the label, and this EP is a product of how far this new gay techno underground has come. So it is with great pleasure we present 4 tracks produced south of the Equator, mixed for the gods, with some signature vocals and some sounds we’ve never heard from these Argy boys sleeping in a Queen bed.

San Francisco’s Honey Soundsystem Records returns with a new single this July, inaugurating a new collaborative guise from Juan Maclean and Kevin McHugh (aka La-4a / Ambivalent) entitled Longlost.

It is rare the combination of simple and catchy happen in dance music, but ‘Take 8’ is just that. A song so heartfelt and recognizable it demanded its own slab of wax, a true single! This expertly mixed and crafted house cut romances listeners into a catchy live piano ditty that seemingly could pleasurably repeat for days.

Inspired by the tracks lead melody, the label set up NYC classical Pianist and friend of Honey Soundsystem crew Kevin Devine on a blind date with the producers a new version. Kevin whipped up a compositional response to the original and he was recorded live on a Grand in La-4a’s studio. Finally, to make it a family affair, Taraval, known for his work of Four Tet’s TEXT, teams up with label co-founder Jackie House for a kraut-no take on the original, fusing vacillating resonant bleeps and robust drums with glimpses of the original’s ethereal sounds.

Honey Soundsystem met October (aka Jules) while on a one-night affair in Bristol in which he immediately dragged us from an artist dinner to the saddest Bear bar in the UK. After a few pints, vetting his taste for drag, boys, and girls that make love to boys who make love to boys, Jules confessed he has always wanted to release on HNYTRX. And so the hazing began, a year of torturing yet another sexy-stranger into refreshing, reminding, and refining a flurry of demos into the army of skeleton soldiers you now have in possession. Vinylmania: As classic disco came bounding through the late '70s and into the electronically orientated sounds of the '80s, New York was one of the undisputed frontiers for the latest developments in dance music culture, nightclubs and the art of DJing. At the center of this seminal time for vinyl culture was a store called Vinylmania, set up by Charlie Grappone in the heart of Greenwich Village, Manhattan, just as the culture of 12-inch singles and promo copies was taking hold. From supplying Levan, Tony Humphries and many more with the latest imports to championing the emergence of house music in the mid-'80s, Grappone and his staff played a significant role in New York's own dance music story. Through the '90s and up until closing in 2007, Vinylmania was a store that catered to DJs from across the complex mixture of racial, social and sexual demographics that made up New York and its legendary nightlife. Man Friday: As the NYC Peech Boys came to an end, Man Friday became Larry Levan's newest production project. Fronted by Kofi Morny and Brodie Williams, their dubut single 'Love Honey, Love heartache' was released by Vinyl Mania in 1986 with Larry Levan at the helm of the mix. Love Money: In the spirit of most dance music borrowing elements from other sources, 'Love Honey' was heaviliy inpired by another Paradise Garage & Loft classic from 1980 and its remix in 1981 by UK Outfit Funk Masters / TW Funkmasters. A dubbed out track big in the Jazz-Funk scene in the UK, it became a hit among underground Deejays in Both NYC & Chicago. Love Honey: No matter what list you look at. 'Love Honey' is always attached to Larry Levan's tenure at the Paradise Garage. All the elements of a Garage Track are here; Dub Echoes, Synth Basslines, Percussions that linger, FX -that one can only dream of hearing on a Richard Long System- and an Organ, because after all, they say the Garage was like going to Church. Over the past years Bézier has seen releases under the Dark Entries record imprint with the most recent 'Telomeres' EP this year. The title track or pronounced 'mina' translates from Japanese to 'Everyone'. Mina is a journey through space with the initial ascent marked by a moody window of time in which uncertainty dominates the mindset of the passengers. Once they break through the atmosphere and are proceeding as planned they land on the final destination, an interplanetary discotheque. Mina was recorded this year with Mark Pistel on the helms for mixing and features SF drummer Kevin Woodruff of Tussle fame providing live drumming for the last portion of the track. Along with the title track the b-side includes tracks previously released on compilations but appear here for maximum record playing enjoyment. 'Serengeti Drive' which appeared on Honey Soundsystem's earlier HNYTRX compilation of queer dancefloor artists is the slow burner of the group. 'Mysteries of the Deep' which appeared in the JACKTONE cassette compilation of Bay Area electronic stars is the soundtrack to an underwater expedition. Both tracks were recorded, produced and mixed by Robert in his home SF studio in 2009.

The EP collates the three unreleased tracks included on the 'La HOME Box' set, which is Garnier's latest album and his return to the legendary F Communications imprint. The release marks the first new music on F Communications in 5 years.

The Rude Boy moniker has its roots firmly set in the downtown districts of Kingston, Jamaica.
Alongside the regular Ska/Rocksteady sounds coming out of the sound systems, there was an undercurrent theme to some songs that spoke of the struggles of the youth, of their confrontation, arrests and run ins with the establishment.
Some of these songs praised the Rude Boys for their stance and style while other songs were more in contempt with the Rude Boy's attitiudes, comings ,goings and violent behaviour.
For this release we have put together a set of tunes that the Jamaican Rude Boys would have been listening to at the sound systems on the lawns and street corners.
Not only the more obvious Rude Boy tunes like 'Gunmen Coming to Town' , 'Dreader than Dread', 'Moon Hop' but also some of the tunes that made the sound systems rock well into the night.

Ursprünglich 1999 veröffentlicht, wurde es zum erfolgreichsten Indie-Album des Jahres und in über 20 Ländern mit Platin ausgezeichnet. Mit "Play" änderte Moby seine Arbeitsweise ein weiteres Mal. Er nahm Samples aus Folk und Gospel - viele davon entstammen aus dem Archiv von Alan Lomax - und verbindet diese mit seinen elektronischen Klanglandschaften. Dabei schneidet er aus den Samples Schleifen, die er endlos wiederholt: Bessie Jones "Sometimes" wird in "Honey" über 20 Mal wiederholt und so entfaltet er den hypnotischen Sog, der diesen Song zum Hit machte. Bei Erscheinen wendeten sich viele Moby-Fans, die ein Techno-Album erwartet hatten, ab und das Album schaffte es nicht bedeutend in den Charts aufzutauchen. Es sollte überzehn Monate dauern, bis sich das Blatt wendete und das Album sich doch noch zum absoluten Hit mauserte. Mit 9 (!) Single-Auskopplungen und unzähligen Lizensierungen an TV-Shows, Filme und Werbespots entwickelte sich das Album zum Dauerbrenner und hat bis heute weit über 12 Millionen Einheiten abgesetzt.

Re-mastered for vinyl.This 22 track compilation spans the years 1995 - 2004 featuring key tracks from all their albums as well and live recordings and many unreleased tracks.BJM has been essential in the development of the modern U.S. garage scene, and many LA and SF musicians got their start playing with Newcombe, including Peter Hayes of The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Originally Newcombe was heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones' psychedelic phase - the name comes from Stones guitarist Brian Jones combined with a reference to cult leader Jim Jones, but his work in the 2000s has expanded into aesthetic dimensions approximating the UK Shoegazing genre of the 1990s and incorporating influences from world music, especially Middle Eastern and Brazilian music.

'Mighty Joe Moon' the 1994 sophomore effort by Grant Lee Buffalo found the band hitting their artistic stride with their distinctive Americana/Alternative rock fusion and the evocative, wide screen song writing of singer and guitarist Grant Lee Phillips. The beautiful alternative rock hit 'Mockingbirds' brought the band, and this album, their biggest exposure and success. From all out rock assaults like 'Lone Star Song' to somber and highly personal numbers such as 'Happiness' and 'Honey Don't Think' the album is a highlight of the era and the best record the band ever made.
