Once upon a time...in the midst of masked identities, artist pseudonyms and the like, Midnight Shift introduces a creature not even of human form.

Tapirus conjures music reflecting the duality of his soul. On one hand, rough and acidic to tell of the terrain of his past. And on the other, pure ethereal sounds borne of another place. This EP, showcasing 3 songs of the Tapirus alongside a remix by label artist Basic Soul Unit, is just the introduction to his tale.

The wiggly 'Acid Love Story' enters the room with its tight drum programming and infectious bassline commanding attention. A voice speaks of a love lost: 'She left...she left. Dark time ahead. Dark times in my head.' But perhaps the story is not yet over.

'Trying to Make Something of Life' continues the monologue, conveying an acidic almost bitter experience. Freaked out and haunting, this track is literally inspired by the dead. It lays as atribute to losing yet another close companion in life.

On the flipside, 'To Live in the Hearts...' and its remix comes through. Ascending the scales of life, its Asianic influence and soaring chords take one beyond the clouds. Basic Soul Unit's transforms the track helter-skelter, a frantic pace turning the peaceful tune into beautiful art of war.

Second part of this two episode series on Subnet records. Following the same flavour as before... dark textures and mental synth lines driven together by hard drum patterns and groovy percussion. These two ep reflect the creepy and insane behaviour caused by experiments in the field of invisibility applied in the human being. All the tracks were recorded live! Just using analog sequencers, mpc, analog mixer and synths... Directly to a recording device. In the same way as you could record a live set, to keep all the vibe as fresh as possible. 220 copies limited vinyl release.

*This is the second solo album from Ken Camden who lives and works in Chicago. He also plays in the Implodes sound quartet. *Space travel is the dream of many and the reality of few. Since Yuri Gagarin rst shed the bonds of earth gravity in 1961, only about 500 humans have made the trip beyond the atmosphere. *Ken Camden travels to space while still grounded on terra rma. His vessel of choice is a guitar and some effects with which he journeys on fantastical expeditions and surveys the biggest territory of all, the one between your ears. *The glimmering sound elds he forms could be a soundtrack to an epic 60's science-ction lm, or a long forgotten grade school educational lm strip explaining how humans would be living on Mars early in the 21st century. *Camden's narrative rejects the dominant dystopian view of the future and posits that there are great voyages yet to be made in inner and outer space. *The album forms a gravity-free environment in which the listener is suspended, enhancing an aural excursion to the outer reaches of the musical Kosmos. *Press quotes for Lethargy & Repercussions: 'Transcendence achieved.' Tiny Mix Tapes 'It's an album that, although it's only been recorded once, feels forever embedded in the present tense when you listen to it.' Attn Magazine 'Ken Camden fuses the mystery of Eastern scales with Krautrock and Karl Stockhausen inspired themes, yet his sound remains futuristic.' Bearded 'Awesome record of shimmering, electronically modied solo guitar music. The pulsing, gated rhythms do have a certain (k) / (c) luster that reminds me of Achim Reichel and / or Steve Hillage, but the sound- palette is decidedly contemporary, with endless synchronized delays & comb lterings making the proceeding just so rich & dense.' Keith Fullerton Whitman *Track listing:

Heavy dubby Techno sounds from the PRRUK camp.
Advanced Human brings heavy chord vibes and steady going kickdrums. The FX on this record are well-shaped with an emerging break down and some original edits. Tough yet high class underground dancefloor techno.

The Descent of Man EP is the third and last part of a trilogy on vinyl dedicated to Charles Darwin studies. This final chapter is focused on the darkest side of electronic music and his impact on human psychology. As Charles Darwin studied the evolution of physical and mental traits, we want to show how obscure, trembling and aggressive sounds generate an increasing sense of agitation and loss while mild and gloomy atmospheres can relieve the body and brain, achieving a peaceful state of mind.
Don't be afraid to move into a shady space. This is not the end even if it could be.

Next up in the Delsin house series is a man who's been perfecting it for years - Düsseldorf's Andy Vaz. The boss of Yore and Background Records, Vaz has released two full lengths and many EPs to date, always exploring a heartfelt brand of electronica that draws on house, techno, Detroit and Chicago in equal measure.

Here he serves up two versions of the same track - 'Don't Lose Your Mind'. Both feature the sweet vocal stylings of Niko Marks and the first, the Soul Version, is all ditty, bouncy chords, floating, summery saxophone lines and warm, effusive synths.

The second House Dub mix is a little sharper - the claps cut through the soupy sonics like a knife and as a result the groove has a more urgent bite. Still stuffed with plenty of human loveliness, though, both tracks are surely set for many spins this summer given their classy feel good vibes.

Unusually for a record (for me, at least), 'Constants' collects tracks written in four very different moments in time: some are recent - so recent I've only had the opportunity to play them out just a handful of times - while others are over one year old. I really wish the story behind this EP would be a bit more interesting so this text could completely blow your mind but I'm afraid there were no dragons, no sex, no drugs and definitely no rock'n'roll involved. All four were mostly produced by me while sipping coffee and wearing boxer shorts in front of a computer. I could somehow try to describe the music on here but it would probably take less for you to give it a listen. However, if you happen to be one of the humans that prefer reading about music, you might want to wait a little bit longer: hopefully some smart blogger will skip through the SoundCloud previews for you and describe them in detail using words he learned a few minutes prior to posting it on the internet. Anyway, I'm really happy to see these finally out, especially on a label I have always looked up to like Vakant. I really used to think Smoke, Kaden and Ozer were aliens at some point. Hopefully you will enjoy this music as much as I loved writing and playing it out. T PS: I was kidding about the blogger thing. Bloggers, I love you.

with - dazed', senking continues his exploration of the abysses of sound to create dark and gloomy atmospheres. the slow beats of the two tracks are accompanied by tender, harmonic melodies, but broken by nervous, unsteady tones which eem to be a warning against hidden dangers. the frst track - the dance hall walk' also features a vocal sample by micheal cramm - a text which refects the nervousness and excitement in anticipation of some thrilling things to come. like - tweek', senking's last ep, - dazed' is not only concerned with the depths of sound, but also with the depths of the human psyche, where there is no escape other than music itself.

Oh Holy Molar is the second album from UK trio Felix. The group produces a bewitching, minimal chamber pop that works as the perfect framework for singer/songwriter Lucinda Chua's oblique and emotionally immediate stories of superstition and searching for protection against bad omens.
*As a follow up to their debut You Are The One I Pick, the band return with a collection of songs with a sound stripped back to its very core. Something is said to have "teeth" when it has the ability to make an impact. This record certainly has "teeth", and sharp ones at that.
*" The album was recorded in a vast, spooky 1940s cinema in Nottingham, England, now converted into a studio. After recording was completed the band discovered that underneath the live room lay an abandoned Dental Laboratory. "Oh Holy Molar" indeed.
*" Since the release of the rst Felix album, pianist/vocalist Lucinda Chua, also an accomplished photographer, has been working on a number of projects, most recently with Wallpaper* in Detroit. Guitarist Chris Summerlin has been recording and touring with his new band Kogumaza. The group is completed with the recent addition of drummer Neil Turpin who, when not performing with Felix, can also be found touring the world with French composer Yann Tiersen.
press quotes for You Are the One I Pick
'It's a gateway into another headspace, one aglow with uncertain magic. As statements of romantic intent go, 'Death To Everyone But Us' must represent either the most  straightforward, honest distillation of the love song, or the creepiest.' BBC
'In Felix's world, everyday mundanities give rise to furtive explorations of human interaction and ineptitude in a manner as oppressive as it is oddly and honestly addictive.' Drowned in Sound
'The duo keep things refreshingly simple, with single strands of piano, guitar, and cello in quiet symmetry, leaving the listener ample room to savor Felix's knotty, enigmatic songcraft.' Pitchfork
'There is mystery and elegance in the marrow of this music, and I imagine this record will prove to stand the test of time, reserved to be pulled out for the perfect accompaniment to just the right brooding but whimsical mood.' Delusions of Adequacy

As summer falls away, Aconito Records rises again with more experimental sound designs and deep atmospheres on this new limited-edition record, Gaia's Archetype. Featured here are two productions by Hironori Takahashi of Japan, as well as an edit from label owner Nax_Acid. Inspired by the emotions he discovered at Japan's 'Metamorphose' open-air festival, Hironori wished to express feelings of contrasting unity - light and dark, human and nature - in his music.

Miss Djax has turned dancefloors upside down with her pumping live version of 'Respect'. Now this version is available on vinyl. At the b-side brandnew track 'The Joker' and guess who this joker is.... Already big supported by Pet Duo and DJ Rush. limited red vinyl pressing.
