The official soundtrack to the first season of the acclaimed historical drama Vikings is now, for the first time, available on vinyl, offering fans and collectors a rich and immersive listening experience. Composed by Emmy Award-winning composer Trevor Morris (The Tudors, The Borgias, Dragon Age: Inquisition), the score captures the raw intensity, emotional depth, and mythic atmosphere that helped define the tone of the series. From sweeping orchestral moments to brooding ambient textures, the music reflects the harsh beauty of the Viking world and its complex characters. One of the standout tracks is the opening theme, “If I Had A Heart” by Swedish artist Fever Ray, whose haunting vocals and minimalist electronics set the tone for the series. The track became iconic, earning recognition for its unique contribution to the show’s identity. The series itself has received widespread acclaim and multiple awards, both for its storytelling and technical execution, with the music playing a vital role in its success. Vikings (Music From The TV Series) is available for the first time on vinyl as a limited edition of 750 numbered copies on blue coloured vinyl. This 2LP package includes a 4-page booklet with pictures and liner notes by Trevor Morris.

"New Juke Swing" marks SHONIIA's debut in the Juke/Footwork genre, where he fully embraces the rhythmic freedom that defines the style. Centered around sampling, the release weaves together a rich palette of New Jack Swing, R&B, and soul samples, layered over rapid, broken Chicago rhythms built primarily on the genre's staple drum machines - the RolandR70 and 808 - and spiced with looping vocal phrases.

The album doesn't reject the genre's rules - it plays with them. You'll hear breakbeat elements (MY MUSIC), signature clipping and lo-fi textures (KEEP FREAKY, LOOK AT ME), and even drill influences (HUNG UP AGAIN). The final countdown in DROP ITDOWN LIKE THIS can be read as both a tribute to the cyclical nature of beat-driven music - a core part of the producer's background - and a hint at a possible continuation of the series.

Prekop"s singular blend of melody, impressionistic lyricism and quietly intricate rhythms are the core of the singular sound of The Sea and Cake. Since 2010"s Old Punch Card, Prekop"s exploration of modular synthesis and electronic atmospheres, has come into its own. Highly skilled at manipulating the sonic interplay, Prekop has established a sytle all his own, his pieces are complex expressing real movement. Harmonies bloom with granular detail and contrary to their machine sources are able to convey emotion. Return Of The Funky Man is the second album by New York legend Lord Finesse. Originally released in 1992, this album was highly anticipated after his debut on the scene just a few years prior. Having already established himself as a punch-line king capable of humorous storytelling, Return of the Funky Man cemented Finesse as a top-notch producer. Tracks such as “Fat for the 90s” and “I Like My Girls With A Boom” showed the Funky Man truly living up to his name, both on the mic and behind the boards. After the gruff-voiced “Lord Finesse Intro”, the album goes on a nonstop journey of witty wordplay over genre-defining boom bap beats. Along for this ride, Finesse brings D.I.T.C. brethren Showbiz and Diamond D on the production side (plus Aladdin & SLJ) while AG and (at the time) newcomer Percee P share mic duties. Topically, Finesse doesn’t stray too far from reminding us why he’s earned the title The Funky Man. Whether it's bragging and boasting, or breaking down females, he has a way of doing it with a tongue-in-cheek type way that is sure to have you letting out a laugh or two every couple of lines. He possesses that rare quality of being a solo MC that is capable of entertaining throughout the entire hour plus listening experience. Standout tracks such as “Yes You May”, “Stop Sweating the Next Man”, and “Party Over Here” all show why this album was instantly praised by fans and critics alike.

From the patient grandeur of coming extinction, to the chaos and fevered urgency of the aftermath, in `idsungwüssä' Abraham move forward from prophetic lamentation to an elegiac visceral response. Conjunto Media Luna presents two new tracks that bring together different geographies, collaborators, and histories of cumbia. “Kumbia dos Pasitos,” in collaboration with Turbo Sonidero, and “No es Moda,” alongside La Terrorista del Sabor, are released jointly on 7” vinyl by Little Beat More and on digital platforms through In-correcto. The cover design is by Bogotá-based artist Mateo Rivano, whose work has defined the visual identity of several influential projects in Colombian alternative music.

A genre-defying Afrofuturist manifesto from Uganda. Producer,
dancer and choreographer Faizal Mostrixx"s singular vision of
East African electronic music is a lush sonic tapestry of
polyrhythms, modern dancefloor styles, amapiano, Nile basin
ceremonial chants and Pan-African field recordings. A stalwart
of the explosive Kampala electronic music scene Mostrixx has
collaborated with the Nyege Nyege collective appearing at both
the African and European editions of their festival. Mutations is
Faizal"s second full length album, following close on the heels of
his acclaimed digital EP Transitions (May 2022 / Glitterbeat). In
their review of Transitions, The WIRE noted: "If today"s currents
in East African electronic music have a more mainstream
destiny, this might be how it starts."

As Inagaki himself said, "I did black funk" by fusing the explosiveness of jazz rock that he had cultivated up until then with the tenacity and elasticity of black music, his musicality has leapt to another dimension. Combined with the ingenious arrangements of master Hiromasa Suzuki, the groove is polished, glossy, and shining mysteriously. All the songs are worth listening to, such as the dynamism and speed of "Painted Paradise" the coexistence of funkiness and mellowness of "Breeze" and the low-centered and sharp cover of Cool & the Gang's "Funky Stuff". It is now a definitive masterpiece that is in demand all over the world.

Pratts & Payne, the South London pub that sits around the corner from the famed home studio of producer Dan Carey, has an important place in the history of Royel Otis. When making their debut album with Carey in early 2023, the Australian duo - childhood friends Otis Pavlovic and Royel Maddell - would decamp to the pub to finish lyrics and make decisions on the direction of their first LP. "Dan would ask us to record vocals," Royel remembers, "and we'd say, 'Just give us half an hour, we're popping to Pratts & Payne', and we'd have a pint, a few shots, and get some lyrics down." Eventually, it made such a mark that they named the record PRATTS & PAIN. Across the debut album, Royel Otis swing between melodic, pop- inspired indie and woozy psych, but it never feels tied to one lane. As soon as one style or mood has outstayed its welcome, they handbrake turn into psychedelic weirdness or dissonant noise, keeping everybody on their toes. After the table was laid on the two EPs, PRATTS & PAIN brings everything from the band's history together on a record that's reverent towards their beginnings but unafraid to push forwards into new sounds. This loose, open formula for what makes a Royel Otis song is written all over PRATTS & PAIN, an album defined by its sense of fun and adventure. On the tracks 'Velvet' and 'Big Ciggie', Carey's 11-year-old nephew Archie appears on drums, and a spontaneous energy ran through the sessions, one which can be heard across the album. On first single 'Adored', they master the perfect indie-pop hit, while 'Sonic Blue' keeps this underlying energy but sets screeching guitars over the top. 'Velvet', meanwhile, has the stomping energy of Talking Heads, while 'Molly' is an unsettling and deeply atmospheric slow jam. Whatever sonic template the music might be based on though, the crux of Royel Otis comes back to a foundational DNA of mutual trust. Royel says: "We have fun together, and it's not difficult. I trust what Otis thinks and what he does, and I back it. If you back each other, something good comes from it."

No-One Driving is a collection of John Foxx singles and B-sides, all released 45 years ago in 1980 and now set for release on black vinyl. Includes the singles ‘Underpass’, ’No-One Driving’, ‘Burning Car’ and ‘Miles Away’, the latter hinting at a new direction after the minimalism of his 1980 album, Metamatic. Some of Foxx’s strongest work is on the B-sides with the likes of ‘Film One’ and ‘Mr. No’ being particular Aphex Twin favourites, while ’This City’ could easily have been a single in it’s own right. An alternative take on ‘20th Century’ became the theme for the Janet Street-Porter TV magazine show, 20th Century Box which was first broadcast by London Weekend Television in 1980, but this B-side remains the definitive, full fledged version. To complete the album are two tracks - ‘Cinemascope’ and ’To Be With You’ - which were later constructed by Foxx out of original cassette recordings, notes and lyrics from the Metamatic sessions and have never been released on vinyl before.

Aber "Unlearning Vol. 2" lehnt wie sein Vorgänger aus dem Jahr 2021 jedes Abgleiten in den Status eines Vermächtnisses ab. Es ist nicht nur ein stilistischer Schwenk, sondern eine tiefere, introspektivere Reise, die in technischer Meisterschaft wurzelt, aber von Instinkt und Neugier angetrieben wird. Anstatt vergangene Erfolge zu recyceln, erkundet Evidence raueres, emotionales Terrain und kreiert einen Sound, der sowohl geerdet als auch experimentell ist. Die Produktion zieht Tracks wie Sebb Bashs erschütterndes "Seeing Double", C-Lances nostalgisches "Top Seeded" und Evidence' eigenes unheimliches "Greatest Motivation" in einen hypnotischen Bann. Dennoch bleibt seine Stimme der Anker, der den Dunst mit Präzision und Tiefe durchschneidet. Tracks wie "Nothing's Perfect" zeigen seine lyrische Beweglichkeit, während "Laughing Last" Stoizismus und Verletzlichkeit in Reflexionen über Familie und Verlust verbindet. Die Kollaborateure stammen aus verschiedenen Epochen - The Alchemist, DJ Babu, Blu, Domo Genesis, Larry June, Conductor Williams und viele mehr -, doch das Projekt wird von einem gemeinsamen Ethos getragen: sich neu zu erfinden, einen neuen Kontext zu schaffen und Schmerz durch Kreativität einem Zweck zuzuführen.
