'Kids In Traffic' fasst zehn Stücke, die auf der ganzen Welt geschrieben wurden; an stinkenden Straßenecken in Brooklyn und auf griechischen Inseln voller Katzen. Doggyland ist eine 3D-Animationsserie von Snoop Dogg. Die Show zeigt farbenfrohe Hunde in einer lebendigen Welt, in der sie zu lustigen und lehrreichen Liedern singen, rappen und tanzen, die Kindern auf der ganzen Welt die Grundlagen des Lernens und der Kognition vermitteln.

Cold War Kids have announced their 10th studio album, Cold War Kids, that will arrive on November 3 via AWAL. The band’s singer and songwriter Nathan Willett describes: " This is our self titled record . Everybody gets one . This felt like the right time because the sound of this record is the sound that makes Cold War kids unlike any other . I’m so proud of these songs. They took a long time to come together . The longing and struggle and joy I wanted to express are personal to me and i am so excited to share it with our fans who have come with us on the journey.”
The epic tale of Cold War Kids has long been informed by deeply personal songcraft, enthusiastic experimentation, and an avowed commitment towards forward motion. The band continues their ascent, becoming one of the biggest rock bands of their generation amassing more than half a billion streams, consistently churning out alternative radio hits, selling out tours and headlining festivals worldwide.
Over the course of nine studio albums and numerous EPs, Cold War Kids have become a major part of the modern musical landscape, with “First,” their Platinum-scanned 2015 single, named as the Most Played track at Alternative radio outlets nationwide over the last decade. As well as 600+ million career streams, 2.2 million singles sold, and over 600,000 albums sold. The band’s current lineup – Nathan Willett (vocals, piano, guitar), Matt Maust (bass guitar), David Quon (guitar, backing vocals), Matthew Schwartz (keyboards, backing vocals, guitar, percussion), and Joe Plummer (drums, percussion) – coalesced in 2016 and have since maintained a dynamic presence in both the studio and on stages around the world.

haben, kündigen Kids With Buns ihr Debütalbum "out of place" an. Ein Album über das
Erwachsenwerden und das Gefühl, ein Außenseiter zu sein, in eine Sammlung von
traurigen Songs übersetzt.
Einerseits enthält die Platte eine Sammlung von Dingen, die du dir einfach gewünscht
hättest, rückblickend auf einen bestimmten Moment, den du jedoch irgendwie nicht
ausgesprochen hast. Andererseits enthält sie auch starke introspektive und selbstkritische
Passagen. Obwohl das zentrale Thema des Albums das Erwachsenwerden ist, berührt es
viel mehr als nur das Erwachsenwerden, einschließlich Themen wie Trauer (was in
deinem Gehirn passiert), queer sein (wie schlimm, nichts Neues) und sich in seinem
eigenen Kopf festgefahren fühlen (Unordnung, das Gleichgewicht).
In einem improvisierten Heimstudio, in dem Amber und Marie praktisch den ganzen
Sommer über lebten, wurde "out of place" von Mathias Stal (1712, bad grades)
aufgenommen und produziert. Unter Beibehaltung ihres unverwechselbaren Sounds, der
aus Maries androgyner Stimme und Ambers eingängigen Gitarrenhooks besteht,
markieren die neuesten Singles eine Entwicklung hin zu einem lebhafteren und
extrovertierteren Sound. Ihre persönlichen Probleme und Unsicherheiten in
Ohrwurm-Refrains zu verwandeln, führte zu sofortigen Erfolgen bei Live-Auftritten mit
ausverkauften Konzerten an Orten wie AB (Brüssel), Vooruit (Gent), Ekko (Utrecht) und
Merleyn (Nijmegen). Dennoch ist "out of place" auch ein herzlicher Soundtrack zum
Cruisen oder für eine spätabendliche Wein-und-Weh-Sitzung.
Nach einem erfolgreichen Auftritt beim ESNS, der ihnen einen Platz in den Top 25 der
Acts des Festivals von 3voor12 einbrachte, erweitern Kids With Buns ihren Horizont. Mit
einem neugewonnenen größeren Sound kommt auch ein beeindruckender internationaler
Tourneeplan: von Slots in der Line-up von Down The Rabbit Hole (NL), Pukkelpop (BE)
und Reeperbahn (DE) bis hin zu ihren eigenen Release-Shows im Hauptsaal der
Ancienne Belgique und De Helling in Utrecht. Mit "out of place" fangen Kids With Buns
gerade erst an.

Ein paar Monate nach digitalem Release schieben wir 300 streng limitierte, kristallklare Vinyl vom softboy ivo und b&dbbb (aka Young Meyerlack) Album "Kids Auf Nix" nach. Irgendwo zwischen 80er Pop und Untergrund Lofi Rap bewegt sich diese Kollaboration zweier alter Freunde, die zeitgleich quasi das Debüt Album von softboy ivo darstellt, der unter diesem Namen seit Dezember '22 agiert. Das Artwork stammt von Johnny Basse. Von diesem Album wird es keine weitere Vinyl-Auflage geben!

1995 steuerten The Folk Implosion, die Band um Lou Barlow (Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr) und John Davis den Löwenteilanteil zum Soundtrack des Harmony Korine Kultfilms "Kids" bei. Die zusammen mit Engineer/Produzent Wally Gagel entstandenen Songs lieferten einen unschätzbaren klanglichen Kontrapunkt zu dem radikalen Film, den sie begleiteten. Fast 30 Jahre später erscheint nun "Music for KIDS", ein Kompendium, das die zahlreichen Aktivitäten der Band zusammenfasst. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Originalsongs sowie B-Seiten, unveröffentlichte Stücke und Remixe aus dieser Zeit. Die Tracks wurden neu gemastert und einige, wie der erfolgreichste Song des Duos "Natural One", sind zum ersten Mal auf Streaming-Diensten verfügbar. Die Neuauflage enthält außerdem zwei Remixe von den Dust Brothers und UNKLE sowie eine Instrumentalversion von "Nothing Gonna Stop".

Sie waren die erste UK-Punkband die einen Plattenvertrag unterschrieben und markierten mit ihrer auf Stiff Records erschienenen Debüt-Single 'New Rose' gleich den ersten Höhepunkt einer Bewegung nach der nichts mehr so sein sollte wie vorher. Schnell, hart, angriffslustig und simpel, auch schon mal in opulentem Verkleidungs-Outfit, nahm sich die Band nie ganz ernst, sondern verstand sich eher als akustischer Comic-Strip mit Humor, Respektlosigkeit, Parodie und Slapsticks ohne die oftmals in dieser Zeit propagierten politische Ideen. Auf Chiswick gestaltete die Band quasi den zweiten Schritt ihrer Karriere und veröffentlichten Alben wie das famose 'Machine Gun Etiquette', das nun in einer limitierten Auflage als MC erscheint!

Brian Jonestown Massacre, Velvet Underground, TOY. “Upon the highways of Freedom, where Evil is like a Ferrari… “ Unbeknownst to its members, Index For Working Musik was born on an evening in late 2019 amidst the discovery of a collection of faded b&w photocopies that had been marinating on the floor of a urine-alley in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. An assortment of sacred and profane imagery were crumpled amongst an essay on early Christian hermits, entitled Men Possessed by God, the meaning of which was enticingly vague. Received together, they planted the seeds for a new endeavour. Though Max Oscarnold and Nathalia Bruno were already engaged in a creative ping-pong of sorts, the results to this point had only totaled a 30 min long ½ inch tape containing one track and four interludes. They needed a page and they needed ink, and they needed a place and it needed energy. Suddenly by chance or divine intervention, their experimental venture had been given form and direction. Back home in London’s cursed smog, they moved themselves and their 8-track studio into a basement in E8, where the project’s gravitational pull gained strength, quickly developing into an unexpected collective with the incorporation of drummer Bobby Voltaire, double bass player E. Smith and guitarist J. Loftus. As the world shifted around them and the Plague Years followed, it became increasingly clear that they were not going to leave that small basement room. The scarcity of light or outer world presence was less a limitation, instead the main tool at hand, allowing the recording to stretch for boundaryless days in architectural isolation, and forcing them to make straight forward free guitar music, adopting a ‘first thought, best thought’ approach. 35 minutes of repeat phrased guitars, slow-clipped drums and dulcet vocals where the recurring landscape is the desert. Reel-to reel-loops of Afghan music compete with the found sound overlays of voices recorded at the queue of the pharmacy and drum machines borrowed from Spanish heroes, channelling both far-off climes and snippets from a closer reality. It’s a strange psychic brew, built of imagined mysticism and domestic realities, of fever dreams and days that stretched into weeks of months. What was sparked by that discovery in the Gothic Quarter was actually a realisation that what they were looking for was with them all the while, buried as it was in piles of voice memos and recorded guitar feedback. Critically acclaimed folk duo The Milk Carton Kids are back with I Only See The Moon. Produced by Kenneth Pattengale, this full-length album features a collection of timeless and traditionalist tracks with hauntingly lovely and rich vocal melodies and lyrical content spanning the themes of time, nostalgia, heartbreak, sadness, love, nature, grief, loss, freedom, solitude, and relationships. Founded in 2011, The Milk Carton Kids swiftly emerged as a major force in the American folk tradition, blending ethereal harmonies and intricate musicianship with a uniquely powerful brand of contemporary songcraft. 2013’s ANTI- debut The Ash & Clay proved their national breakthrough, earning The Milk Carton Kids their first Grammy Award nomination for Best Folk Album. A second Grammy nomination for Best American Roots Performance followed in 2015 for the track “The City of Our Lady” from band’s acclaimed third studio album, Monterey, and 2018’s All The Things That I Did And All The Things That I Didn’t Do was nominated for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The band’s most recent album, 2019’s The Only Ones (out now via Far Cry Records in partnership with Thirty Tigers), was the subject of extensive praise, with Rolling Stone proclaiming that “Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan get back to the beautiful basics with The Only Ones,” while NPR’s “World Café” noted that “even though Joey and Kenneth are not related, their voices together create a sibling-like harmony...the duo has a strong sense of respect and reverence for the musical traditions that they've grown from.”

Live @ Granada Theater" ist das einzige Live-Album der Get Up Kids, das ursprünglich 2005 veröffentlicht wurde. Dieses Album ist ein Juwel in der Diskographie der Band - hier sind viele ihrer größten Hits vereint, eingefangen in einer beeindruckenden Live-Show. Dies ist die allererste Pressung dieses Titels auf Vinyl, als Teil der Zusammenarbeit von Hassle Records mit Vagrant Records zur Feier ihres 25-jährigen Bestehens. Ghosts of Princes in Towers is the only studio album by British band Rich Kids, founded in 1977 by Glen Matlock (ex Sex Pistols) and Midge Ure (Ultravox) and Rusty Egan released in August 1978 and produced by ex-Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson.
