For their third release, Moonworks look to Italy with a reissue of a hyper-rare underground earworm by Urban Heads, originally from 1998.

Urban Heads’ ‘The Wind’ is a lost Italian gem produced by Federico Scavo which has remained a secret weapon in the bag of a select few tastemaker DJs until fairly recently, with original copies practically impossible to come by. Since producing this record, Federico has gone on to become one of Italy’s best known DJ/Producers, with multiple chart-topping hits under his belt gathering millions of plays.

‘The Wind’ offers two floor-filling mixes of quirky, boisterous, distinctly European house music. Whether you’re playing the disco-infused Cosmic Version or the dancefloor weapon that is the Space Mix Version, we have no doubt that this record’s signature vocoder riff and captivating basslines will remain permanently embedded in the mind of everyone in attendance.

Moonworks have once again worked closely with the original artists to restore and remaster these tracks from the original DAT tapes, as well as revamping the original artwork in their own style.

'La Quinqui' / 'Llora' is Gipsy Power Band's debut single, where they merge flamenco rumba, rock and funk astonishingly, evoking a unique era of Spanish music.

Formed in Madrid in 2022, Gipsy Power Band was originally conceived to pay live tribute to the music of the Spanish exploitation film genre known as "cine quinqui", performing tracks from those movies and many other foundational songs: hits, some flops and hidden gems released in Spain from the mid-70s to the early 80s. Rock, funk, disco and flamenco rumba productions by Los Chichos, Las Grecas, Los Chunguitos and Los Chorbos, among others.

After two years setting the Madrid stages on fire and making the public dance to this vintage repertoire, the time has come to move to the next level. The band has evolved and now they are releasing their first own songs: a dramatic love story told from two points of view worthy of a period "cine quinqui" movie, the spirit of which inspires the compositions.

Kolter, one of PIV's favorites, is back on the label with an exclusive and exciting 10'' vinyl EP to kick off 2025 with a touch of nostalgia. Known for his unique sound, Kolter continues his streak of delivering hits for PIV. This time, he's done it again with "Come On Back With Your Love," featuring two distinct mixes crafted for those special moments.

The titles of each version truly speak for themselves. On the A-side, the "Sunrise Mix" brings a euphoric energy that perfectly complements the record, while on the B-side, the "Sunset Mix" offers a more mellow, feel-good take on the track, completing the package that is surely going to be a great tool on the dance floor.

Wide Yonder’ is a truly remarkable album, offering as much depth and soul as it’s predecessor, yet sounding ultimately fresh and different. Above all, the ten tracks show an artist that’s willing to take risks, find in- spiration in new places and move beyond the sound of his previous album. Trentemøller: ‘Of course I didn’t want to make the same record twice. So the album is for me a logic development from ’The Last Resort’’. Instead he just started to collect new ideas, without thinking too much about the direction the music would take him: ‘The only thing I knew was that I’d want the music to sound more organic and analog.’ Compared to the intimate electronic mood pieces of ‘The Last Resort’, the ten tracks on the new album indeed have a more strange, mystic and dramatic vibe, with a lot of dynamics, distorted, driving twang- guitars, real and electronic drums mixed with haunting synths. With ‚Into The Great Wide Yonder‘ Trentemøller is not only exploring new moody and atmospheric universes, but combines his sense for glorious soundscapes with a firm melodic and tonal touch. The original chord progressions and feel for melodies is fundamental to him, and that‘s also the reason why most of the instruments are played by Trentemøller himself on this album. ‚I like the possibility to be surprised that chords and melodies change into something new. The music that I like most lets the themes and sounds come back in different disguises‘. The Danish multi instrumentalist and producer shows an unexpected talent for finding vocalists that fit the mood of his songs. The first single of the album, the beautifully tender ‘Sycamore Feeling’, featuring Marie Fisker, is a typical highlight. In fact, all the vocal tracks are stunning. Trentemøller chose to collaborate with the English artist Fyfe Dangerfield from UK based Guillemots and Danish singers Solveig Sandnes and Josephine Philip from the debuting Danish indie girlduo Darkness Falls. They all manage to add their own sound and flavour to the album, while their voices blend perfectly with Trentemøller’s atmospheric songs. This is an album that keeps growing for a long time, as every track works its way stealthily under your skin. The sound of ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ might be one step ahead of his previous work, but we still easily recognize the hand of Trentemøller, in this inspired collection of songs and atmospheres. The sonic richness, sharp contrasts and daring musical colours are vintage Trentemøller. Into The Great Wide Yonder’ might demand more from the listener than ‘The Last Resort’, as it ended up being quite a dramatic album. On the A1 is Cosenza, Argentinian guy with releases on some huge labels like Locus, Key Records, Hoarder, Talman Records and many more. Presenting ‘Obsession’ he brings a very groovy sound, with a fat and wide bass joined with nice drums.

For the A2 the guest is Mateo Dufour, also Argentinian, a name that is getting more popularity in Europe and rest of the world. With productions in labels such as No Art, Djebali, Politics of Dancing, etc, Mateo knows how to turn the dancefloor on fire! Enjoy Grey Swamp a very housey beats with some beautiful keys, as Mateo is a master on that assign.

On the other side for the B1 is O’Gio, Uruguayan guy, head of this project, his name started hitting the scene lately with productions for Limousine Dream (Nug-Net), Binary Sound and Howl Records. Gio’s productions always try to bring fresh sounds, with nice hooks, thick basses and fine drums.

Last but not Least for B2 we have Cessy, Australian himself, owner of a unique sound which that has led to European Tastemakers getting him to release on such labels as No art and Archie’s Hamilton own label too, becoming one usual name on European nightclubs.

Jamwax is thrilled to announce the reissue of the iconic 45 RPM single “The Man Who Sold The World” by the Wally Brothers, originally released in 1974 on the Explosion label, a subsidiary of Trojan Records. This deep roots reggae track stands out with its unique orchestral strings, delivering a soulful and distinctive interpretation of David Bowie’s legendary song. Some even argue that this version surpasses Bowie’s original in coolness and creativity.

Produced by Desmond Bryan and Webster Shrowder, the Wally Brothers, better known as the renowned reggae band The Cimarons, brought their signature style to this remarkable track. Featuring Bobby Davis on vocal as confirmed by Locksley Gichie of The Cimarons, this version bridges Jamaican roots music with international influences.

At the time of its release in 1974, The Man Who Sold The World was relatively unknown to the general public, making this reggae adaptation a daring and unconventional choice. Decades later, Kurt Cobain’s unforgettable performance of the song during Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged in New York introduced it to a new audience, transforming Bowie’s original and its various covers, including this reggae rendition, into a cornerstone of music history.

Bobbyy is a producer, drummer, and DJ based in Los Angeles. Known for his work with Seattle bands sunking and High Pulp, 2024 sees Bobbyy stepping out as a solo artist, working with the likes of Pink Siifu, Hi Tech, Blvck Svm, and more. Bobbyy’s debut album ‘Buckets’ is an homage to his deep love and understanding of music history, incorporating elements of Chicago House a la Larry Heard, alongside raw, sample-based production reminiscent of Madlib or Daedelus, all the while basking in 808’s.

We are excited to announce the release of "Nocturnal", the latest album from Basic Need, the collaborative project of electronic music veterans Alexi Delano and Pablo Sánchez. The 10-track album was recorded between Alexi’s studio in Stockholm and Pablo’s studio in Barcelona, with their signature blend of deep techno, immersive soundscapes and jazz improv approach.

With over three decades in the electronic music scene, Alexi Delano, a driving force in Sweden's electronic music scene, is known for his balance of minimalism, deep house and dark techno. Pablo Sánchez, one of Venezuela's top electronic music exports, has captivated global audiences with his versatile approach to music, combining dancefloor energy with left of field elements.

Together, they continue their artistic partnership under Basic Need, after several EP releases on Culprit, Hafendisko and Seven Villas Records among other labels.

The million-selling self-titled duet album by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway was the breakthrough record for Flack. Donny already enjoyed some commercial success, but their hit singles “You’ve Got a Friend” and “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” put Roberta on the radar. The sensitive and emotional masterpiece can be seen as one of the best duet albums of all time. It was the album’s third single “Where Is the Love” which dominated the US radio for almost a year, and reached the fifth spot in the Billboard Hot 100. The album itself shows a work of great depth and tenderness, with some of the most impressive vocal harmonies you’ll ever hear. After the success of the album Flack and Hathaway recorded sporadically together throughout the ‘70s, until Hathaway’s tragic death in 1979.

You Are The Morning was formed amid personal upheaval in 2021. "I came out as trans to my nearest and dearest," she says, "Some did not accept me, but some did." Jasmine got divorced, and a difficult home life meant she was writing while experiencing homelessness and precarious housing, sleeping on friend's couches and relying on community support. Despite the pain of some of its background, the record is an uplifting look at t4t love. Jasmine describes her first trans romance as the first time she experienced joy in a deep sense, because of her experience of living as a woman. First single `Skin on Skin' explores the new joy of physical touch. Usually a quick writer, it's a rare song that grew over time, during which a close connection with a friend began to form. "Sticking to the physical boundaries we wanted to have with each other became increasingly difficult. We were spending lots of time together, then falling in love. This song became a celebration of healing and physical catharsis found through unrepressed queer love." The first UK signee on Saddest Factory Records, the album was produced by Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. Jasmine and her band travelled to L.A. to record at Sound City Studios. It was made across 12 days in a highly collaborative and emotional process, and because Jasmine sees her songs as fluid and ever-changing, the recordings carry that free and spontaneous spirit. jasmine.4.t is supported by an all-trans band, Phoenix Rousiamanis contributes piano and strings, with Eden O'Brien on drums and Emily Abbott on bass. With Jasmine's voice and songwriting at the centre, the record incorporates a wider cast of voices. `Best Friend's House' features a chorus including her bandmates, Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus ("the girls and the boys"), Saddest Factory Records label-mate Claud, Becca Mancari and E.R. Fightmaster. The song carries the communal spirit of the record's creation. On the closing track, `Woman', she is backed by the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, a cross-generational group of trans singers who, like Jasmine, use their voice as a source of communal power. The song blossoms from solo performance to wider group catharsis. All the while, Jasmine sings unwaveringly about the power of knowing yourself at a core level: "I am, in my soul, a woman". The writing of You Are The Morning pulled from dark moments to tell its story. Surrounded by friends, the recording process was full of light. Through her performances, activism and artistry, jasmine.4.t is ushering in a new dawn.

And with Avant! being a coldwave/synthpop label, our next release couldn’t be more special. No Filter are three children of the French region of Dauphiné, active in the black metal scene for 20 years through different projects.

They created No Filter with the aim of exploring punk, Oi and coldwave sounds. They started by singing in English but after their first demo they decided to opt for French to improve their lyrics by singing in their own native language. Themes addressed in their songs are violence, hatred, party nights, the countryside, their roots and friendship. “Synth punk, bagarre et blousons noirs” in their own words. Musically speaking they somehow fit in the current Cold Oi French scene (Bromure, Syndrome 81, Cran, Kronstadt) but they exaggerate the synth/wave element ending up sounding like one unprecedented, fresh as hell mix between New Order and The 4 Skins.

If you think you’ve heard this one before it’s because one year ago they self-released a 10-track cassette called “Sans Filtre” which is exactly what we are pressing now on vinyl for the first time because this was simply too good to stay only on tape forever.

To make this even more special we have recruited Canadian multi-instrumentalist and artist Nakkabre (Conifère, Spleen, Vespéral, HazeHound) to do a brand new artwork and spice things up for the occasion!

London-based producer and musician Vegyn unveils the reprint of his debut mixtape, "Text While Driving If You Want To Meet God!", a 71-track project originally launched in June 2019, now available again on cassette format. This time, featuring a transparent red tinted cassette chassis, this reissue offers fans a nostalgic journey through Vegyn's early experimental soundscapes. Crafted with Super Ferro Normal-bias music grade tape, each cassette boasts 43 minutes per side, meticulously duplicated in real-time for optimal sound quality. With clear front and back cassette cases, alongside laser engraving, and a double-sided full colour printed 4 panel J-Card. This reissue is set to captivate listeners once again. The cassette repress is scheduled to hit shelves in June 2024.

Marhu is set to make her debut on Electric Ballroom with a captivating two-track EP slated for release on May 24th, 2024. Inspired by the iconic Opera monument in her hometown of Brussels the lead track "La Monnaie" is a compelling blend of bittersweet melodies, intricate orchestral elements, epic violins and choirs intertwine with massive rave synth and acid undertones, creating a sense of powerful grandeur and drama. Marhu's fusion of classical and electronic influences brings a fresh perspective to the genre, captivating listeners with her creative ingenuity from start to finish. Reflecting on her debut release, the artist from Belgium expresses her excitement about joining Thomas Schumacher's esteemed label, Electric Ballroom: "La Monnaie" has been a standout feature in my recent sets, showcasing my ability to craft immersive musical journeys that resonate with my audience” Known for her infectious positivity and high-energy performances, Marhu's mission is to connect with her audience and take them on musical journey. Nearly two decades after it was first released, Norken’s sleek cult classic album ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ is being reissued on vinyl via Hydrogen Dukebox on 6th December 2024.

With its unique sonic blueprint of early 2000s electronica, ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ is a record that is at once both deeply reminiscent of a particular era and place, yet remains a timeless invocation of Norken’s idiosyncratic palette of minimal, techno, house and British IDM.

This vinyl reissue presents all 12 tracks from the original release, with the inclusion of 'Df23' and 'Flirt' making this the first time that ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ is available on vinyl with the complete album tracklisting.

Norken is one of the many pseudonyms of Lee Norris, a producer who is considered by those in the know as one of the unsung heroes of UK electronica. With a slew of releases throughout the years as Man-Q-Neon, Nacht Plank, Norken, Tone Language and Metamatics, this reissue shines a light on his soulful, immersive output under the Norken name.

As Norris explains, “The release of ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ has a nostalgic, warm feeling for me. I made his album in a garden shed with a wood burner, an Atari computer and a few synths in the depths of an English winter. I still had the thought process of making emotional style techno that would warm any soul on a cold day.”

First released in 2005, ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ carries the echoes of electronic luminaries such as the Detroit ambient techno of John Beltran, through to the immersive atmospherics of Biosphere and the innovative IDM of fellow British outfits Autechre and The Black Dog. Yet as Norken, Norris retains a distinctive musical voice that has continued to deepen in stature over the years since the album’s initial release.

Opening with the brief intro cut ‘Fern 2’, the album slides into the dreamlike groove of ‘Memories’, where rich, resonant chords wrap around cool, galactic-sounding synths and a compelling bass undertow.

On ‘It Might Have Been Rain’, that signature bass texture again propels a luxuriant mid-tempo rhythm, while Norken layers in hypnotic washes of string-like synths, gentle electronic pulses and the brief murmur of a vocal, across seven-plus immersive minutes.

Vocal textures, often subtly looped and distorted, also add a distinctive depth and personality to tracks like ‘Eastern Soul’ and ‘Here’. Throughout the album, there’s a feeling of intricate microcosms unfurling, as Norken coaxes a myriad of contemplative moods and emotions from his machines.

Whether shaping the smooth, lulling ambient gauze of ‘Ty Canol’, or letting the kaleidoscopic, dancefloor-leaning drive of ‘Audic Strable’ loose like a coiled spring, ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ presents the singular voice of an artist whose innovative contribution to UK electronic music has only become heightened with the passing of time.

After videos circulating of raresh and Ricardo hammering most of the ep in one of there legendary b2b sets at fabrics birthday and other big names spinning it throughout the summer of 24’ it’s been highly anticipated by those in the know.

The record starts with the stunningly crafted ‘bigger’ with a lovely mix of subtle electronics and warm pads. A2 ‘ode to e’ is a breaks piece of dreamy tones and vocal patterns. On the heavy and darker b side the naughty bass of ‘quartet’ heads b1. Built for an attack on the floor with its vocoder driven rhythm. For the b2, One of raresh’s weapons of 2024 ‘bra sett’ its ever changing and switching layers is an energy boost to any dance floor!
