Badboy garage is the order of the night on this latest drop from the unstoppable Instinct label. It's a split EP between Isgwan and Trustee, and the offer kicks off with the low slung swagger and warped bass of 'Right Tehn' complete with gun-finger synths and nawty vocals. Trustee then steps up with some expertly crafted jungle breaks turned 2-stepping beats on 'Watch Dat' with mad low energy wobbles. His 'Shuffle N' Step' is another lip-curling and rude as you like bit of filthy garage, 'Feel Me' (feat Tanya George) is a more emotive sound thanks to the buttery r&b vocal hooks and 'Work Set' shuts down with bumping low-end pressure.

Rick Wade is one of Detroit and house music's most consistent performers. He is a master of crafting tools that never miss on the floor but also have the sort of character that means they endure across the ages and remain impervious to passing trends. Art Is The Place has his latest, and it opens with the angelic vocals of 'Level Up' over a whimsical groove, then 'Big Ha Blues' gets more deep and zoned out with pillowy pads and wet claps. 'Intrusive Emotions' has a more grinding low end but stays slow and is softened by jazz keys, then 'Bitter Sweet brings some dust and grit. Another faultless outing from Wade.

Volume 26 of the 12" series Attack The Dancefloor features four chart topping no.1 singles available on Vinyl for the first time, WOW. First up it's the meeting of giants as we are treated to the huge version from Michael Gray of 'What About My Love' who bumps the tempo and takes the source parts into HOUSE territory, priming it for the peak time & finally satisfying the 'when's it out on vinyl' crowd. Up next the floor filling, gospel tinged "(You Gotta) Give It Up" by Z Factor, still doing damage on the dancefloors since it's recent digital release. On the flip we have the 3rd & current chart topper 'Down Down Down' by Raw Essence aka Dave Lee, his latest dose of Discotheque dopamine. Feeling both familiar yet fresh, it's all about classic good times here backed up with ravishing Moog Wizardy and irresistible vocals. To round of this essential slab of wax is Opolopo's standout 'Bebeccie's Theme' which delivers muso boogie of the highest order. Full of discreet chords and sophisticated string turnarounds, backed up with deft synth touches from the keyboard magician.

Born Osborne Ruddock in Kingston in 1941, he grew up around High Holborn Street in Kingston, before moving to the new Waterhouse district in 1955. His electronic genius grew from working and fixing radios and TV sets. A natural progression led to working with amplifiers, and starting his own sound system, 'Tubby's Home Town Hi-Fi'. A very competitive games i the late 60's. You were as good as the EXCLUSIVE records you played.
Tubby discovered during his time cutting discs for Duke Reid's Treasure Isle set up, that by dropping vocals/instruments in and out of the backing tracks, you could invent new versions of existing old tunes. These early versions tried and tested on his sound system went down so well that he invested in a four track mixing console with delay echo effects, sliders and phasing units and so began King Tubby's 'Studio Of Dub' at 18 Drummlie Avenue, Kinston 11 , Jamaica...His Home.....
This is where all the producers would bring their tracks for Tubby to put his magic over. Most tracks that came out in Jamaica from here on in would carry a 'Version' on it's B- Side more than likely a Tubby Dub.
One of the producers who used him the most was Bunny Striker Lee, who's labels Jackpot, Justice and Attack all carried Tubby's mixes/versions on their flip sides.
Our collection here, all taken from original master tapes you might have heard the tracks before but not these versions....Lost in the vaults till now. So sit back and enjoy the dub master at work.

If anyone in the reggae circles could be described as having their own sound it would have to be Mr Augustus Pablo, born Horace Swaby 1954 St Andrew Jamaica. He took the humble melodica a wind blown mouth keyboard and made it shine.

His musical journey started one sunny day in 1969. Walking into Herman Chin- loy's Aquarius Records shop and on playing his melodica so impressed its owner that he was taken off to Randy's Studio 17, the very next day to cut his first record 'Iggy Iggy'. But it was his second tune under the guidance of Clive Chin again cut at Randy's, the seminal 'Java ' that put the young Augustus Pablo on the map. Clive Chin continued his work producing Pablo's debut album 'THIS IS AUGUSTUS PABLO' . An instrumental affair on which the neo-mystical ''Far East'' sound synonymous with Pablo's work emerged.

Having worked with most of the top producers of the time,Lee Perry,Keith Hudson, Bunny Lee, Augustus decided to set up his own label "Rockers", named after his brothers sound system. Where many of his tunes would first be heard.The label came to define a new and exciting chapter in reggae history.Even when versioning acknowledged classic Studio One rhythms there was a precious maturity and depth to Pablo's productions that kept him at the top throughout the late 1970s and into the 1980s. His 'King Tubby meets the Rockers Uptown' set which featured some of these rhythms reworked; Swing EasySkanking Easy, Frozen SoulFrozen Dub, stands as one of the true dub classic albums of any reggae education.

This set of dubs are taken from his classic 70's period.All rare dubs straight from the masters. You may have heard the tune, but not these versions. So sit back and enjoy the Original Rocker..... STILL SOUNDS SWEET.

2025 Repress

Long time Sonic Groove artists Orphx return for their first release on the label in five years with "The Way Through All Things". Continuing their mission to push the envelope of skillfully crafted hard edged electronic music, this latest extended 4 song player is their roughest and toughest on the label to date: crushing industrial rhythms, hypnotic sound design, and voices on the edge of panic.

Big D’A covers two classics in his indomitable style. First up his rendition of Roy Ayers summer Anthem. On the flipside Creative Source anthem later covered by EW & F gets the Nu Soul treatment to fine effect with layers of harmonies and punchy brass stabs .

God = doG is the collective around Belpop icon Rudolf Hecke and consists of Nikkie van Lierop (Erotic Dissidents, Praga Khan), Toon Derison (Steven De Bruyn, El Fish), Klaas Tomme (Iskander Moon, Illuminae), and Yassin Joris (Jokke, Naima Joris).

Rudolf Hecke's LP “God is doG spelled backwards” was voted the best Belgian album of 1989 by De Morgen. Humo crowned him “The Nick Cave of Flanders”.

36 years and many musical adventures later, he is back with a strong, dark, and atmospheric album comparable to the works of, for example, This Mortal Coil: different styles of songs sung by different band members. The album is produced by Hecke, David Poltrock, and Ian Caple. Additional lead vocals are by Elsje Helewaut.

Rudolf has also proven to be a gifted author and speaker. On 26 October 2024, he published his ninth book, How Rough is the Stone?, in which he immerses himself in Freemasonry. The journey to that book was accompanied by the recording of new God=doG songs. Mutual influence, symbolism, questioning, insights, and reflection emerged.

Thus, in the fascinating live shows, storytelling is never far away…

Returning to Curvature for his eagerly awaited second EP, Senses brings an impressively varied array of atmospheric jungle to the table, drawing from a multitude of influences across the musical spectrum with Convex Reflex.

A1 - Ratio
A break-laden intro lays the groundwork for a considered foray into the old-school - Senses flecking the mix liberally with synths and female vocal hits of yesteryear, before the welcome crunch of thunderous amens takes over. A cascade of rip-roaring edits
floods the track taking you on an epic ride through the ages, breaks chopped with riotous energy confirming this track as a perfect DJ tool for the dancefloor.

A2 - Sun Runner
Beautifully crisp drums open a DJ-friendly intro to Sun Runner, delightfully clear sounding with distinctive cymbals, a thick snare and subtle bongos. An airy soundscape soon washes into the mix with calming synths and flutes, creating a delicately jazzy blend of styles with soothing melodies contrasting perfectly with the breaks. More pronounced synthwork follows to spice things up as the bassline rumbles along below.

B1 - Spirit Vector
Dense atmospherics are the order of the day as Senses deploys Spirit Vector, opening with an array of synths and strings to create an intro reminiscent of Intense's work in the late 90's. Soon we are treated to a paradoxical assortment of heavy amens that work impeccably in the mix - thundering forth with pads soaring high and a heavy sub bass below. Various instrument samples litter the breakdown before a vocal sample declares "Yes". Yes indeed.

B2 - Still
Closing the EP in style, Still opens with sparse breaks, lightly building with extremely subtle apache breaks in the backdrop with sporadic keys and smooth pads. The drop arrives with warm, room-filling basslines and synths to elevate the atmosphere alongside luscious flute samples.Layers are added to the excellent breaks as Senses sprinkles instrument samples, keys and a classic female vocal, completing a joyous composition for Curvature.

We're proud to announce the upcoming second vinyl release from Black Teeth Records, and it's a serious one - courtesy of none other than ARtroniks, a Ghent-based producer who's been crafting heavyweight dub-infused pressure since the late nillies. No small name in the game - his work has long resonated in the deeper corners of the bass music world. This new four-tracker is a bold evolution of his sound: a stripped-down, technoid dubstep blend steeped in cyberpunk atmospheres, engineered for proper sound system deployment.

Transit - hauntingly dystopian and beautifully cinematic. A perfect intro, interlude, or ender. Backlash - pure weaponry: sharp, relentless, and built for dancefloor impact. L121 - deconstructed minimalism that cuts deep; skeletal but heavy. Vitamin - hypnotic low-end movement with tight percussive tension.

Vakula invites us on a sonic journey with his latest album titled “Cloud Bloom.” Composed of four tracks, this album explores the depths of deep and dub techno, creating atmospheres that envelop the listener in a unique experience. Up next on Brooklyn's Scissor & Thread is the latest EP from Snad, aka Shyam Anand (also known as Spandrel), the Berlin-based artist whose discography already spans labels like Smallville, Minibar, 20:20 Vision, Phonica AM, TerraFirm, Running Back, Cabinet, Kimochi and Dungeon Meat with remixes for names including Seafoam and Chez Damier.
A trusted selector and producer in the underground, Snad has steadily built a reputation for deeply considered productions that balance classic inspiration with his own forward-thinking edge.
The AM Yard EP opens with its title track, a warm, hazy cut rooted in the kind of bassline architecture that recalls Chez n Trent's Morning Factory but reshaped with Snad's signature dreamlike touch.
Anticip8 fanchors the release with a more direct energy, rolling, insistent and focused on the floor, balancing stripped-down drive of dusty samples wrung through his digitakt with just enough harmonic flourish to pull the listener inward.
On the flip, The Pursuit follows in a slightly different mode, drawing on experimental vocoder techniques and filtered percussion creating a hypnotic push-and-pull that feels as intricate as it is understated.
Rounding things out, label heads Francis Harris and Anthony Collins, under their Frank & Tony alias, reimagine The Pursuit with their Housebeat Remix, extending its atmospherics into an even deeper headspace that glides effortlessly into late-night territory.

At the forefront of the Paisley Underground scene, The Dream Syndicate are one of the most revered indie-rock bands of the 1980s. Medicine Show is the band's second album. Remastered from the original reel-to-reel tapes and featuring liner notes by Steve Wynn. Medicine Show has always been a controversial album, even before it was recorded. The indie rock darlings became the first Paisley Underground band to sign to a major label, hire a mainstream rock producer, change bass players, and spend months recording the album - after having banged out their previous one, The Days of Wine and Roses, in mere hours. After succesful debut and waves of positive press and , A&M Records signed the Dream Syndicate and they went into the studio with producer Sandy Pearlman, who spent five months in the studio guiding the band through their second LP. ... Medicine Show was greeted with openly hostile reviews, largely because it sounded practically nothing like the album that sent tongues wagging two years earlier. ... [...] sounded big and polished, but also dusty and weathered, with the terse, nose-thumbing lyrics of the debut replaced with dark, complex narratives full of bad luck and bad blood backed with booming drums and roaring guitars that were significantly more rockist than what Steve Wynn and Karl Precoda brought to their earlier recordings. An exclusive collaboration lands on Drumcode, with Bart Skils linking up with rising German artist A.D.H.S for the divine ‘Can’t Hear You’. Fresh off the excellent ‘Torn Clouds’ single with Weska on Drumcode, Bart Skils is on-point as ever with his production output. The Dutchman has enjoyed a strong summer highlighted by Awakenings and a sunrise set at the iconic Fusion Festival. Meanwhile A.D.H.S is no stranger to Drumcode, having shared slick contributions to past A-Sides compilations including ‘Razor’ and ‘2Step’. He’s otherwise dropped strong releases on Exhale, Spannung and Electric Ballroom. “Can’t Hear You” was born during a Sri Lanka holiday after A.D.H.S injured his back and spent time sketching ideas on his phone. “I started playing around with samples on my phone and found this beautiful vocal and just started sketching some ideas. No pressure, just emotions,” A.D.H.S explains. “Back at the little jungle studio I had set up, I kept working on it – really taking the time to find the right chords to match what I was feeling at that moment. It’s a bit of an unusual track, and I had no intention of ever releasing it. It was just for this moment,” he shares. A.D.H.S begun testing an early version at open airs and festival, later uploading a teaser clip onto Instagram. When Skils heard the track’s unique vocal line, he was hooked. “It was a no-brainer for me to decide to work on the track with Bart, I’d been a big fan of his for years. He brought in his ideas, worked on the mix and arrangement, and together we shaped it into a version that we both absolutely love.

It’s one of those rare tracks that just capture a moment.” Indeed ‘Can’t Hear You’ is an emotional behemoth; one of those rare tracks that sounds genuinely unique and is simultaneously a banger and tear-jerker in one. “When I first heard the clip Michael (A.D.H.S.) shared of ‘Can’t Hear You,’ I was hooked by the infectious vocal. We decided to craft a full collab blending both our signature sounds, and the result is a rolling party weapon that’s become my go-to closing track,” shares Bart Skills.
