This release marks the fifth Pizza Hotline collaboration with WRWTFWW, following the ultra-classic Level Select, its brilliant follow-up Polygon Island, the collaborative smash Anti Gravity Tournament with Mitch Murder, and the Low Poly Breaks cassette series.

After more than a decade shaping dancefloors and curating sound, ROOTS steps into a new chapter with the launch of its vinyl imprint: ROOTS LTD — a platform dedicated to exploring the essence of “the sounds of Roots.”

The inaugural release comes courtesy of Romanian mainstay Gojnea76, delivering a refined four-track EP built with the dancefloor in mind. Drawing on the spirit of ‘90s tech house, the record blends solid basslines, groovy vocal cuts, and rolling pads into a cohesive and timeless journey.

With his unmistakable signature, Gojnea crafts a debut that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking — a proper statement piece to mark the beginning of ROOTS LTD.

As The Matrix ushered in the new millennium, voices of apocalypse and optimism alike wrestled for the narrative high ground over what the future held in store. Ever more inclined toward skepticism than hope, we have since grown prone to withdrawing in exhaustion when confronted by such gargantuan expectations — “lost in the Matrix,” if you will.

Less’s new album opens by building a bridge back to his previous album “Stranger” (released on the “Freude am Tanzen” label and conceived as an imaginary Blade Runner soundtrack). In the intro, breathy references from vocalist Alice immediately set the tone for the journey ahead: Electro, High Energy, Acid, Chicago, Italo Disco.

A full-fledged club album quickly unfolds—one that invites the listener to dance and switch off, while at the same time, if you allow it, provoking reflection through its lyrics. Now a Berlin-based artist with Thuringian roots, Less draws on deacades of DJ experience and channels it deftly into ten tracks. Less (real name Stefan Leßner) isn’t afraid to go “old school.” Classic touches like vocoder effects are as integral here as Alice’s irresistibly
cool spoken-word vocals—delivered in English (“I Care”, “Mirror, Mirror”) and German (“Alles was du willst”). This retro spirit even extends to his remix of the French-language Underground Cottage track “Canada (2003 Less Remix)” which surfaced in DJ Hell’s setlists last year—bringing things full circle.

“Living in the Matrix” on Lebensfreude Records is not merely a nostalgic reference to times past, but also counters exhaustion with a sense of trust in the future. It is, in essence, a call — an appeal — not to lose oneself in any kind of ‘Matrix.’ Accordingly, the album will be released both digitally and analog. The latter will come as a 180g double vinyl with a high-quality, thematically appropriate gatefold cover.

I don't wanna die (Pt. 1 & 2) is John Wells raw portrait of two years caught between a stalled music deal, broken trust, and the fight to stay alive. Set against fog and grit in Baltimore, the EP blends soul-baring lyricism with shifting, dreamlike production — confronting self-doubt, past mistakes, and the stubborn will to survive.

Since 2018, Less J’s been laying it down on local labels and pushing his own imprint, Law Heart Records. No shortcuts, no polish — just rough-cut soul and heavy samples, stacked brick by brick into a sound that hits as hard as the city he comes from.

Die Third-Wave-Ska-Band Less Than Jake wagte im Jahre 2000 mit "Borders and Boundaries" einen mutigen Schritt. Unter der Leitung von Produzent Steve Kravacat lehnt sich das Album stärker als alle vorherigen Alben an Skate-Pop-Punk an. Anfangs polarisierte die Veröffentlichung (einige Kritiker schrieben, sie wünschten sich mehr Bläser und mehr ,Major-Label"-Sellouts, obwohl die Band wieder zurück bei einem Indie-Label war). Punknews bezeichnete das Album als ,unterschätzt". Chart Attack aus Kanada und Rock Hard & Ox-Fanzine aus Deutschland waren jedoch anderer Meinung. Ebenso wie Downed in Sound aus Großbritannien, das dem Album die perfekte Bewertung 10/10 gab und schrieb: ,Jeder Song ist so verdammt eingängig". 25 Jahre später ist "Borders and Boundaries" nun das meistverkaufte und beliebteste Album der Band. Die 25th-Anniversary-Edition enthält fünf bisher unveröffentlichte Demos und einen neuen Mix von "Is this Thing on?" von Tom Lord-Alge (u.a. One for the heads as they say ... this deep Detroit Techno inspired 12" by UK Techno veteran Paul Mac was supposed to be released on Ben Sims' infamous Theory sub label Navite in 2003, but apart from 5 test pressings with the catalogue number NTV 04 it never made it to a proper release. When asking Paul about this 12" we were very happy that he agreed to release it on Mojuba sub label a.r.t.less. Some of his most soulful and deeper organic Techno EPs finally available and remastered by Redshape to current standards.
For illustration duties we are super grateful to have the one and only Kilian Eng on board for the next releases, showcasing some of his sketch work in a new context, some of you might remember his stunning artwork from the Sam McQueen album "Dreams In Sepia" for a.r.t.less. With great pleasure we are more than happy to welcome Session Restore and Bernhard Hudalla to the family with a superb debut 12" for the Mojuba sublabel a.r.t.less. A friendship and collaboration that connects musical dots between Hanover and Leipzig resulting in this release called Pathfinder EP. Session Restore might be familiar to some of you through his label rauh, from the party series he's doing in and around Hanover over the last couple of years or as one of the finest vinyl DJs the city has to offer. The debut EP for the Mojuba sub label is a true love letter in four parts to deep and dubby Techno with an emotional touch. As always, let the music do the talking and enjoy! Strength in numbers ... after the well received collaboration release of Session Restore and Bernhard Hudalla, we welcome another joined musical adventure by up and coming talents Volpe and Elias. Hailing from Aachen, the Brandwerk resident Danieli is less a producer and more a sound archaeologist. An artist who uncovers the hidden rhythms of nature and translates them into deep, textured techno. His debut EP on a.r.t.less, "Shifting Clouds," is the consistent continuation of this path. The title is not just a name, but a mission statement and a metaphor for his entire approach: music that is organic, fleeting, and full of emotional depth. The four tracks are a journey through soundscapes distilled from field recordings, synths, percussion with analog warmth and dub ethos. From the atmospheric melodic expanses of the title track, "Shifting Clouds," and the almost microscopic detail of "Minutiae," to the hypnotic evolving pull of "Between Layers" and "Reduce", this EP is a masterclass in subtle dynamics. For Mojuba sublabel a.r.t.less, this release is a more than welcome extension of its own sonic cosmos as well as its artist roster.

Since the early 90s the name Aubrey has stood for authentic UK Techno with deep roots in Chicago, Detroit and New York. His "Super Analog EP" for Mojuba sublabel a.r.t.less isn't a look back, but a statement on the timeless power of analog sound.
The four tracks are a journey through a spectrum of moods: from the cosmic expanse of "Big Six" and the playful acid touches of "Time Flying" to the raw, hypnotic energy of "Robber Nose" and the wistful depth of "Mysterious Rhythm."

In a culture of instant gratification, patience is a subversive virtue. This attitude is precisely what lies at the heart of Farron's debut 12" on the Mojuba sublabel, a.r.t.less. The "Patience EP" is a convergence of two distinctive musical forces. Here, the architect behind the Shaw Cuts imprint, whose rhythmic complexity is influenced by a personal music taste ranging from hip-hop to punk via breakbeat, meets the emotional Detroit and dub-infused techno coordinates of a.r.t.less. The result is a record that embodies this tension. Farron's characteristic, subtly broken percussion merges with warm, floating pads and stabs to form a unique, seductive whole. It's not techno for pure escalation at peak time, but rather, music for the hours before and after with a sound that challenges and rewards the body and mind equally. The EP's four tracks tell a coherent story of maturation and catharsis that goes far beyond functional club tools. Following early releases as LaChriz on labels such as Ilian Tape and the consistent refinement of his vision through Shaw Cuts, this release is both a natural progression for Farron as an artist and an exciting new addition to the sound palette of a.r.t.less. Some things are worth waiting for!

‘With Time, We Learned To Ask Less’ is the first duo album by Giuseppe Ielasi and Riccardo D. Wanke after decades of friendship and the occasional artistic collaboration. Working with only electric guitar and electric piano as well as a gentle dose of reverb, these improvisation-based recordings showcase the rapprochement of two artists whose interests are perfectly aligned. Their carefulness, attention to detail, and shared desire to sculpt space through music instead of just occupying it create a unique harmony between these two exceptional musicians who consistently stay mindful of the old adage that music is the space between the notes. Following up on solo albums sees them seamlessly combining the sparse but lush aesthetics of those experiments throughout these 44 minutes. Having lived close to each other in Northern Italy, where the prolific mastering engineer Ielasi still resides to this day, he and Wanke were members of the group Medves together with Andrea Belfi, Renato Rinaldi and Stefano Pilia before Wanke relocated to Lisbon. When Ielasi, who had mastered Wanke’s recent solo albums including 2023’s »i« for electric pianos, was invited to play a concert in the Portuguese capital in the summer of that year, the two took the opportunity to go on stage together. Infatuated by the results of this fully improvised set, they organised a two-day session in Ielasi’s Monza studio shortly thereafter and edited the recordings over the course of the following months. The resulting album shows them moving slowly through sonic space and time, complementing and counterpointing each other’s playing. They leave each other room in which to unfold and let short moments of silence speak for themselves. ‘With Time, We Learned To Ask Less’ is the closest you will get to hearing the air sing.
