Erstmalige Vinyl-Wiederveröffentlichung des von der Kritik gefeierten dritten Albums der saharauischen
Tuareg-Gruppe Tinariwen, ”Aman Iman: Water is Life”. Das 2007 international veröffentlichte und hier
auf 180 Gramm schwerem Vinyl wiederveröffentlichte Album wurde von dem langjährigen Partner Justin
Adams produziert und enthält die Stimme und Gitarre des Gründungsmitglieds Mohammed Ag Itlale. Das
mit dem GRAMMY Award ausgezeichnete Kollektiv spielt einen gitarrenbetonten Zweig der malischen
Musik, der als Tishoumaren bekannt ist, einen perkussiven, rockorientierten Wüstenblues.
Das Album erscheint als 2LP.

Full Collapse ist das zweite Studioalbum der amerikanischen Post-Hardcore-Band Thursday. Das Album wurde 2001 veröffentlicht und wurde zu ihrem bisher größten und einflussreichsten Album. Guitarist Barney Kessel, drummer Shelly Manne, bassist Red Mitchell, and the supremely soulful Hampton Hawes, one of jazz's most appealing yet unsun pianists, fill out the quartet scorecard of the 1958 release Four!. Although much later in his career Hawes experimented with electronic keyboards and fusion music, at heart he was a bebopper, as this session makes abundantly clear.

With material like Charlie Parker's "Yardbird Suite," his own "Up Blues," and Red Mitchell's "Bow Jest" (on which Mitchell plays his first recorded bowed solo), Hawes is at a creative peak here. Kessel, who played on the date, paid tribute to Hawes' "inexhaustible ideas on the blues…no one else in modern jazz plays the blues better." And nobody could tie a rhythm section together better than Shelly Manne, the fourth party in this boundingly energetic Four!

Features all-analogue mastering from the original tapes by legendary engineer Bernie Grundman (himself a former employee of the label), as well as unsurpassed audiophile pressing on 180-gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings, presented in a Stoughton Printing old-style tip-on jacket.

1957's The Poll Winners was the first of five all-star trio sessions featuring the dazzling interplay of guitarist Barney Kessel, drummer Shelly Manne and bassist Ray Brown. For The Poll Winners, Kessel, Manne, and Brown did not record together simply because they all happened to have won first place on their respective instruments in the Down Beat, Playboy, and Metronome polls.

Their collaboration was due to mutual respect, and their sensitivity to one another's musical requirements. Here, in a set composed mainly of pop and jazz standards, they represent the ultimate in their fields, constituting a rhythm section that also provides brilliant solo interludes by all three members. Collectively, Kessel, Manne, and Brown won dozens of polls over the years; this record eloquently tells you why.

Dieses Jahr kommt die 25-jährige Jubiläumsausgabe des zehnten Studioalbums von R.E.M., New Adventures in Hi-Fi. Das 1996 erschienene Album war die letzte Studioaufnahme von R.E.M. mit Gründungsmitglied Bill Berry, der die Band im folgenden Jahr einvernehmlich verließ. Als fünfte Zusammenarbeit der
Band mit dem langjährigen Produzenten Scott Litt (Green, Out of Time, Automatic for the People und
Monster) experimentiert das Album mit neuen Klangtexturen, die von filmischen Bildern, dissonanten
Noten und eindringlichen Effekten geprägt sind. Der Platin-Seller enthält die Singles ”Electrolite”, ”E-Bow

”Live at The Troubadour” ist ein Live-Album von James Taylor und Carole King, das ursprünglich im
Jahr 2010 veröffentlicht wurde. Im November 1970 traten die beiden aufstrebenden Stars zum ersten
Mal gemeinsam im The Troubadour in West Hollywood, Kalifornien, auf. Sechsunddreißig Jahre später
kehrten James Taylor, Carole King und Mitglieder ihrer berühmten Originalband ”The Section” (mit dem
Gitarristen Danny Kortchmar, dem Bassisten Leland Sklar und dem Schlagzeuger Russell Kunkel) für drei
Nächte und sechs Shows in den Troubadour zurück, um das 50-jährige Jubiläum des Veranstaltungsorts zu
feiern. Diese historischen Momente sind in ”Live at The Troubadour” dokumentiert. Die bemerkenswerte

bezeichnete Fran später als ”our most eclectic album”. Es enthielt den UK Top 10 Hit ”Closer” und schaffte
es in die Top 5 der UK-Charts. Von der BBC wurde es als das Werk einer Band gelobt, die es sich leisten
kann, Risiken einzugehen”.

Marco Lazovic has been burning up dancefloors for over four years with his potent blend of house grooves and feisty jungle breakbeats, and so it continues on this new drop for Craft Music. "Dance System" is predominantly shaped out by gorgeous Detroit-inspired synths, but there's also some seriously spicy breaks choppage going off throughout the track. "The Dredwerkz" is a tight and punchy electro jam with plenty of melodic delights fluttering around the 808 drums, while "Daydreaming" gets further up the tempo range to outright ambient jungle a la early Good Looking. "End Theme" stays in jungle mode for an acute exercise in classic rollage.
