Straight from Michigan’s underground, Myles Sergé resurfaces on his own (MS) imprint with the FANPRO EP, a stripped, smoking 140g 12" that connects dub techno pressure, hazy dub house and Detroit-rooted machine soul in one focused statement. Known as a “reclusive perfectionist” and low-flying techno lifer, Sergé channels decades of Midwest grit into four cuts that feel raw, intimate and club-ready.
To push things further into the future, he invites a heavyweight remix squad: Toxido Mask, the Berlin sound designer and Tresor mainstay whose hypnotic, cathartic sets have become the stuff of late-night legend; Ackermann, the Stuttgart house-to-techno shapeshifter behind the Safe Space universe; and Myk Derill, a Berlin-based specialist in deep, dub-soaked, industrial-tinged techno.

Each artist takes the FANPRO blueprint and bends it in their own direction: from smoked-out dub chords and creeping low-end to sharpened Detroit stabs and tension-loaded rhythms built for strobe-lit basements. No filler, no throwaway tools, just four uncompromising trips for DJs who still live for the craft.

Needless, Monoder & TM Shuffle join forces on VUO Records for a deep excursion into the realms of dub-infused techno and stripped-back house. Echoing chords, warm low-end pressure, and hypnotic grooves form the backbone of this release - a sonic journey where raw analog textures meet subtle swing and spatial depth. Crafted for sound system lovers and late-night explorers alike, this is a record that resonates far beyond the dancefloor.

Three incredible reimaginations of Nina Simone classics from Francois K, Tony Humphries and Coldcut each with their own unique touch and trademark style weaved within.

Francois K kicks off with a sublime deep house rework of 'Here Comes The Sun'. Reminiscent of Larry Heard's output, Francois nods to Mr Fingers with a bassline that harks back to those early Chicago classics, coupled with deft mbira touches that create an other-worldy feel to the remix. Celestial waves and singing rides mix with a buzzing top line melody that lay the foundations for Simone's spiritual voice to hang in the air with a perpetual elegance and grace. A timeless slice of house music that earned Francois' version a spot on one of Innervisions acclaimed 'Secret Weapons' compilations.

Next up, Zanzibar royalty Tony Humphries lays out a bumping remix of 'Turn Me On' turning the bluesy soul leanings of the original on their head and flipping it into an uplifting summertime groover. Simone's words take on a different tone with this revitalising rework backed by staccato guitars and chopped up vocal melodies that give a playful yet soulful character to this slab of sunshine.

Rounding off the EP in classic Coldcut style, the duo meld 'Save Me' into a chopped, screwed and crunched remix. Lo-fi percussive elements and distorted textures blend with glitching samples and stuttering sequences that turn Simone into a tripped-out goddess. An atmospheric piece of electronica but with a harden edge purpose made for the dancefloor.

Mexican sensation Pahua comes to Razor-N-Tape via a huge remix project featuring some of the hottest producer names in current outer-national dance music.

Remixers on this 12” includes both staples and newcomers to the RNT production stable. Label co-head JKriv turns in a late-nite bass mix of the exceedingly popular ‘Porque Yo,’ Captain Planet delivers a percussive & thumping afro-house flip to “‘Espantapajaros’, Tigerbalm brings her chugging international disco flair to ‘Pa’lante,’ Prince of Queens digs deep with a housey dub of ‘Calla,’ and Londoner Clive From Accounts takes ‘Cana Brava’ into moody nu-disco meets amapiano territory.

With a collection of remixes as prolific and solid as these, RNT opted for an expansive 12” and 7” package which features seven of the remixes across two slabs of vinyl, with gorgeous artwork that flips the moonrise eclipse motif of the original Habita album cover perfectly in a slick device that reveals a crescent moon as the record is removed from the jacket.

This package honors the essence of the original music, while flipping it in quintessential RNT club-ready fashion.

Pete Blaker returns to RNT with 2 glorious long-play sides of edit mastery. On side A, Miami Sax is a bit of funky 80s fusion for the jazz Uncs, teased out and looped up to dizzying perfection, with the blissful soul of Must Be Love on the flip, for the disco spinners . Both extended loopy journeys of dancefloor euphoria, already getting big support from Harvey, Hunee and company!

Originally released on Brainiak Records in 1994, this classic Trance anthem crossed over into multi genre sets and featured on many compilations. Hooj re-released it in 2000 with a string of remixes and found yet another new audience. Re issued here with the Original Mix alongside the Fort Romeau Dub, bringing it bang up to date for the modern collector and DJ alike.

A rare treat for Drumcode faithful: A-Sides Vol.10 is set to drop in December, the second edition of the beloved series to come in 2020.

Fuelled by the extra time and space to be creative during lockdown, Drumcode’s collective of artists have stepped up. Across 17 contributions, the producers have gone deeper into their sonic repertoire, crafting powerful, yet reflective works that capture the range of the label’s sound.

Jay Lumen leads the way with a rousing riff-driven weapon, ‘Galactic Rainbow’, while Ramon Tapia brings us the muscular gem ‘Drum Control’, mixing up ruffneck techno with a barrage of synapse-tickling synths in the second half. Both rousing highlights of the compilation.

Victor Ruiz, Drumcode’s most prolific contributor in 2020, dishes up ‘Love Story’, led by a huge vocal lead. Zimmz also returns with ‘Tension’, which deftly combines deep squelchy grooves with a silky synth interlude. Thomas Hoffknecht follows up his debut on Vol.9 with ‘Escape’, keeping listeners on their toes with dynamic, choppy shifts throughout. Veerus joins with another stirring addition ‘I Know’, reinforcing why Beyer rates him so highly.

Elsewhere a string of debutants feature: buzzy newcomer Lilly Palmer gives us ‘Amnesie’, a brilliantly pummelling and eerie cut; Alex Lentini & Stomp Boxx serve up ‘Expanders’ mixing up drone effects, trippy vocals and an unsettling melody line; and Patrik Berg’s ‘Activated’ is full-bodied techno that drops down into funky rhythms.

Long-time DC family member Bart Skils brings his A-game with the thrilling no-nonsense ‘Solid State’ that hits like a steam train. Likewise, Alan Fitzpatrick who brings a momentous slab of techno energy with ‘Rochus’, while Thomas Schumacher, now feeling like a regular on the imprint, crafts another dark techno opus, this time in collaboration with CAITLIN.

There’s even a special appearance by the chief Adam Beyer, who makes a welcome return with the progressive-tinged ‘Changes’, driven by organic tones and spacey atmospherics. The track stands as his first original contribution to A-Sides since 2017.

Having re-recorded all the vocals, Adeva belts out a dazzling new version of one of house music’s most iconic songs. Brian Tappert and Marc Pomeroy’s impact on house as a genre is undisputed, nurturing the Soulfuric label from cult favourite to renowned powerhouse through their tireless commitment to creating and reinvigorating classics. Collectively the two have released under many monikers including Jazz-N-Groove, Urban Blues Project and Soulsearcher - the name associated with Defected Record’s debut and UK top 10 hit ‘Can’t Get Enough’. Now ‘Feelin’ Love’ by Marc Pomeroy’s Soulsearcher project and Urban Blues Project’s ‘Your Heaven (I Can Feel It)’ are spotlighted by this special vinyl release. On the A, longstanding French selector DJ Fudge’s 2023 remix of ‘Feelin’ Love’ features alongside the original Club Mix from 20 years prior. Fifteen years after it first surfaced on the short-lived Lithuanian netlabel Dumblys, Sraunus – Out Of The City returns remastered, recontextualized, and ready for a new wave of deep listeners. What once felt like a hidden gem now reads as a quiet cornerstone, a record whose significance only grew clearer with time.
Behind Sraunus is Paulius Markutis, one of Lithuanias earliest deep-dub explorers. His moniker translates to “flowing” or “fluid,” and that spirit runs through the entire album: the music breathes, circulates, and drifts with calm inevitability, revealing fresh details on every pass. Rooted in the classic Berlin-born dub tradition yet unmistakably shaped by Markutis own sense of space, mood, and narrative, the result feels beautifully suspended in time, warm in its chords, patient in its arrangements, and guided by a subtle emotional current. This is dub techno at its most enduring: fluid, deep, and endlessly replayable.
The reissue, part of Greyscales Archive Series, arrives on superbly pressed double vinyl, with artwork chosen with intent: Marija Marcelionytė-Paliukės “High Tide and Low Tide,” an image of perpetual motion that perfectly mirrors the albums flowing spirit.

The Finnish imprint Vuo Records continues its exploration of deep dub techno textures with Split Dubs Vol. 2, an essential follow-up to the series that bridges timeless atmospheres and dancefloor-focused grooves. This time, Gradient, Star Dub, and label-head Tm Shuffle join forces for four heavyweight cuts that perfectly capture the label’s raw, analog spirit.
Gradient opens the record with “Stone Jungle”, a masterclass in restraint and tension, the kind of dub techno that feels alive in its own pulse, crafted from only the bare essentials yet rich in texture and movement. Tm Shuffle’s Housedubreshapes the original with reverb-soaked accents and elastic low-end energy, turning it into a deep, head-nodding trip tailor-made for late-night systems.
On the flip, Star Dub delivers “Rubber Dub”, a funk-infused roller driven by breaky percussion, floating echoes, and a deep-rooted bassline that vibrates straight through the chest. Tokyo Prose returns to The North Quarter for his first project since his acclaimed 2018 'Wild Grace' LP. Featuring his trademark ‘less is more’ aesthetics, this EP is a refined, confident progression of the Tokyo Prose sound. The title, ’Twelve Tones’, marks the musical intent of the Jazz-influenced project – which, by design, consists of uncompromising instrumentals. The exception that proves the rule is the Satl remix of 'Lift You Up', which features Steo, and closes out another stellar project by the Auckland native.

This time we welcome Diego & Robi, joining forces as Twineffects, to deliver a set of dancefloor-shattering cuts that carve out a distinctive new chapter in our sound.

'Cryptic Speech' opens this release with the thump of UMEK’s trademark kick drum and a pulsating synth line. Dramatic stabs lead to the haunting breakdown which provides an epic hands-in-the-air moment before the percussions slams back in.

'Bounce That Ass' has a jacking sound that takes influence from Chicago's ghetto and booty styles. Chunky percussion and UMEK’s own personal twist add a modern take on the tried and tested style loved by dance floors all over the world. Brooklyn Sway's 7th drop might best be described as the black market edition, but as always we leave the gumshoe work to those heads out there savvy enough to figure it out themselves. Thugfucker alum Acid Tourist and BKS stalwart DeWinter remix celebrated West Coast sideman ROC's cover of a tune that needs no intro, transforming a torch song into an acid belter while keeping its quality intact. Charles Levine, best known as Charlie from Soul Clap, steers close to his usual antics with 'Ocean Waves & Ashtrays', his ashtrays obviously full of blunt ends as he runs the voodoo down on a sultry funk number laced with fat lead keys and ideal for beach party afterhours or smoky late-night sessions. Returning for a second BKS appearance, Ohm Hourani's 'SupaDupaFly' fetches the funk again with rap vocal samples sliding just inside the industry 10% rule set amidst seesawing synths for a woozy, extended effort sure to influence sobriety decisions. On 'Hearts & Diamonds,' label honcho Jay Prouty and mainstay David Paglia join forces jailbreaking two legendary NYC freestyle anthems into a combination that rocks more like high period New Order, so when you catch Fumero's psychedelic painting winking at you off the plate after a few spins, you'll understand exactly why the sway resides in Bucktown.

Since its inception in 2011 the Fuse label has grown to be one of the leading voices in the dance music underground, originally kicking off with co-founder Enzo Siragusa's 'The Sagamore EP', subsequent releases were kept strictly in-house with productions from the roster of resident DJs that feature at their London based daytime raves (Seb Zito, Rich NxT etc). In 2013 offshoot label 'Infuse' was initiated as a way of harnessing production talent from around the globe.

After the great success of the first two releases of the RE-TOUCHED SERIES, Conform Records continues its journey by giving us a new gem to collect. Gaetano Parisio seems to have no intention of stopping and calls other 5 legends to get their hands on tracks of his label's catalog. The third release contains four tracks plus one digital only bonus with heavyweights Deetron, Steve Bicknell, Ken Ishii, Oscar Mulero and Alexander Kowalski all stepping up.

Once again Swiss legend DEETRON, through his class, hits the mark. His Vesuvius edit of Gaetek's is a slamming track with driving drums and worms synths that bring it into the present day with a real sense of style.

STEVE BICKNELL is another techno legend who runs his own 6dimensions label. His edit of a track from Gaetano's Ritmatica goes as usual directly to the point. Steve stays true to the original sense of the track by masterfully adding his "Lost" touch through reverbs and percussion.

KEN ISHII, a true Japanese techno titan, incredibly manages to bring color and life to Gaetek's Advanced Series Vol. II. The result is amazing! The track is a dance floor killer. Its vintage charm is the key!

The Spanish Maestro, OSCAR MULERO, brings his dark and hypnotic style to the original Gaetek track. His Ømre Edit totally distorts the original one using percussion and filters giving that hypnotic flow for which the Madrid artist has always been known and respected throughout the techno underground scene.

To close this majestic EP ALEXANDER KOWALSKI, the backbone of the German techno scene, through his incredible talent creates a true masterpiece. His edit of Gaetano Parisio's Quake is undoubtedly something special. The syncopated rhythm and the addition of synths, create a third millennium atmosphere. His crystal clear talent as a producer is captured in these 6.25 mins.

In over a quarter century, the Brussels club has stood the test of time by rooting itself in ageless music and employing pioneering artists - large or small, international or local - to command the decks of Belgium's longest running dance floor. A celebration of this legacy and the renewed imprint is in order, coming in the form of a 30 track compilation of techno's best and brightest from around the world. One track for one year, this collection of recordings highlights the status quo of enduring club music, beginning with a nod to the past: a re-release of Jeff Mills iconic 'Step to Enchantment' from 1993. Following on from the super-fast stock sell-outs of the 2LP of joyous Alfredo selections, Rebirth follow up with the first of the sample EPs of rare, cherished and formerly unreleased gems. Deep Joy of Brainiak (and Mo Wax) fame had their stunning “Fall” track remixed by lord Sabre, Andrew Weatherall himself; an often-missed indie-chug delight from the early 90’s. The Thrashing Doves and their scene stamping classic Je$u$ on the Payroll, needs very little introduction, but this Unreleased Instrumental Version, like it states, has never been on vinyl before. Flip over for another hip hop/club hybrid of a track with KC Flightt’s “Lets get Jazzy”, and its iconic sound which was remixed by the legendary Blaze; then finishing up with sunrise/sunset jamm, “Blinky Blue Eyed Sunrise”, by The Metaluna Mutant. A must for any lover of the white isle and it’s heritage.
