Introducing Mr. Eff. Part myth, part man. Dragging by the arm to safety through digital swamps and haunted houses, The Parallel stands as a singular vision of Miltonian proportions. Small vignettes and passing scenes give way to grandiose and beautiful moments, from the wave-sleaze of Midnight Predator to the pre-credits Suicide-tribute of H E A R T T H R O B, The Parallel works as much for drive time as it does for drifting off to a far off land that is both wonderful and strange. Not to be ignored. Art by Eric. A Lee.

The 1980s were an epoch of upheaval and rapid change in South Africa. The decade began with the country’s apartheid government fighting to maintain its institutionalized racial segregation in the face of global protests and demands for the release of human rights activist Nelson Mandela, who had been jailed since the early 1960s. By 1990, Mandela was free, and apartheid was on the way to being dismantled. On the music front, things were changing too; At the beginning of the decade, the main music style of black South Africans was the jazzy indigenous jive of mbaqanga, a provincial style that had held its place as the sound of South Africa since Mandela was first imprisoned. By the end of the decade, South African music stars were making international waves with bubblegum, a flashy variety of Afro-techno-pop.
On this album, Cultures of Soul explores this period of change, and the intermediary forms that filled the gap between mbaqanga and bubblegum. The years when South African musicians and producers wrestled with the incursion of foreign disco and formulated their own style of homegrown disco-pop.
Starting from the early 80s, when bands like Varikweru, Black Five and Soundburger essayed local attempts at boogie and jazz-fusion, through experiments like the Madonna-cloned diva Margino, who domesticized the burgeoning Italo-disco and NYC electro sounds, up through the massive breakthrough of Brenda and the Big Dudes, who arrived at the right mix between native and international influences to point the way forward for South African pop.

Following ‘On & On’ we present the second reissue from The Pearls, the sought after ‘Groovy Beat / Groovy Rock’ originally released in 1980 on their Reality Hits label. Expect another fusion of Disco, Reggae & Rap influenced by the sounds coming out of New York at this time from the likes of Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Flash, but with a distinctly Jamaican vocal delivery from Norman Watson and Stanley Shaw. On the flip side label head Jura Soundsystem combines both versions for an extended edit which includes snippets of studio chatter found on the original master tape.

FAR are excited to bring Chris Coco and DJ Rocca to the label for this release. Both artists need no introduction to Balearic /House and Disco aficionados, the pair have both notched up stunning solo musical releases.
Meeting at La Casella festival in Italy in the summer of 2019, the duo decided to team up in the studio resulting in the ''Discoteca'' EP, a shimmering slice of Balearic, Disco House containing all the right ingredients and forward motion required for maximum sunshine or nightime connection.
On A1 Discoteca (The Heavy Fun Dub Mix), they manage to create a heady cocktail of synth riffs, ARhodes and Guitars all underpinned by a solid bass line, nodding to the Jazz funk of Atmosphere with the edge of Dinosaur L recording in Italy circa 1982. AAntonio prosper turns up on vocals, whispering, and chanting, evoking imagery of a night out in the mid-summer heat somewhere in southern Europe.
Time to get snackin' folks, as Les Inferno returns to his home turf for another round of Disco Dudeing on Samosa Records.
As we've come to expect from the Italian Disco Don, he cooks up another batch of funk-filled finger lickers that will be the star of any get together you might have planned.
From 'Making Me Sweat' and 'Doin' It' on the A-side all the way down to 'Dude Piano' and 'Ahmed Love' on the flip, this smorgasbord of seductive sounds will undoubtedly have the floor coming back for seconds!

Moplen returns with one of his personal all time favorites, “Los Conquistadores Chocolates” from Johnny Hammond’s first album release on the legendary Milestone Records label!
A jazz/funk masterpiece which became in its original form popular in the NYC underground club scene thanks to David Mancuso and his ‘Loft” parties. Moplen gave the tracks a more ‘club’ orientated feel, where the wide variety of original instruments are highlighted into 2 remixes featured on this first bonafide 12” ever made of “Los Conquistadores Chocolate”.

Garofano Rosso's triumphant return to Giallo Disco comes in the form of his debut album 'Titoli Di Coda'. A bloodied trip to the microcosm of a doomed city, a neon-noir at the corner of Gordon & Cole, where old cellar doors slam like gated snares and justice comes with a bullet. In between krautrock funk, straight up-crime solving disco and instrumental ballads almost gothic like in their epicness, the artist also known as Giorgio Luceri, whose releases on Mathematics have been turning heads for many years, births this daring and impressive debut that we're immensely proud to release on Giallo Disco. Art by Eric A Lee.
Laying down the 6th release on the hotly tipped Ravanelli Disco Club, are four producers from around the world that know just the right summertime recipe to get you in the mood for a night of debauchery.
Four cuts that transport you to open air beach parties, poolside throwdowns and sunset soirees, providing the perfect getaway to lockdown life.

Two years after ".... and The Casiotone Orchestra", Odessey & Oracle continue their speculative and colorful explorations through an adventurous sonic quest, mixing acoustic sonorities and classical instruments, using a pallet of analog specimens dating back to the 60s and 70s. Retro-futuristic music with sophisticated arrangements underlines unbridled songwriting with heterogenous influences (Brian Wilson, Caetano Veloso, White Noise, JS Bach, Moondog, Robert Wyatt...). The lyrics, in French, both surreal and utopian, serve as witness to the contradictions of our times and invite the listener to imagine a revolutionary love
