THC001 presents a 4 track EP featuring 3 tremendous groovers from Bucharest-based artist Direkt and includes a mind-warping remix from Vincentiulian. The record opens with 'Lagrange Point', presenting a warm and spacey roller. 'Ephemeris' follows suit with Direkt’s punchy beats and seeping harmonic flow. On the B-side, Vincentiulian’s interpretation of Lagrange Point takes you through a hypnotic voyage, stripping the track down to its bones and adding his signature genius touch. To finish off this EP, Direkt's creative ability turns to a darker corner in 'Nova', featuring a monster bassline accompanied by eerie pads and heavy hats.

Capodopere are back with their yearly wax phenomenon, having Suolo on the sixth issue after stamping the catalog with Fanfaronade and Fenomen releases. He has seen touchable changes within the last couple of years as the visions morphed into more subtle and dusky ones, tailoring the pieces to the new eyes wide open conception.


The ready-steady-go is how we have seen the outset of this record as “No Proof” slams into the speakers with an assaulting force, taking over the surroundings and advancing into the layers of bass lines. Some elements of the piece are carrying geological provenience as Suolo has grounded the percussions and laid the path for the coming vocals. It is certain that the magic happens around the deliberate vocals that as well as their enchanting presence throughout - mark the lively beginning of a musical hike.

As we move to the next episode of the chronicles, “Rudiment” speaks a lot about Suolo’s founding bases, with the heavy lower notes being the first ones to reach the receptors. With no dissonance for ourselves, “Rudiment” is where he achieved the perfect balance between the low and high, inside a spiral of circling ambient buildup. Gently overlapping the A side, B1 is the piece that plunges between the beginning and the ending of this EP. He recreates imaginary sojourns through the layered dissociation of the field elements. It is as Susumu Yokota would produce music for club floors.

“Oasis” is a well-anticipated continuation. The gurgling sub-bass is noted at the first sight yet the rest of the cookout is at the preparation stage. A slashing indigenous voice becomes the companion of the piece throughout the deserted lands of layered pads. We reach the oasis when the sandy kicks are taking over the desolated fields, peaking into the various luminescent shots paired with playful melodies of a recreated xylophone. Is it a somber downhill or an elevating escalator?

St.Petersburg Sound System are HOAVI and TSKTCH. The two have been widely known for their solo projects, with releases ranging from every kind of genre you could only think of. No wonder that the production versatility has brought them together to collaborate and join the creative forces in studio. Instead of going after a particular sound, the duo was mainly focused on experiments with sound and improvised one-shot jams, results of which were mostly unpredictable, yet unique and unearthly.
The sound shaped by the cultural capital of Russia we could describe as a mysterious pathway between cinematic ambient and hazy atmospheric dance music. The buildings, the nature, the weather and all the surroundings are translated into the sound reflecting the musicians' connection with the city. All elements on this EP are incredibly well orchestrated and arranged.There are not so many cities that were privileged enough to be associated with a certain music genre like Chicago or Detroit, but we are more than certain that their signature sound is opening a new chapter representing the sound, the sound of Saint-P.

The Romanian label Lost Classic Records marks its debut with their first vinyl release, consisting of 4 tracks composed by: Laurent Ci, Lurre, Petit Batou and Petrutt.
The A-side starts with Laurent Ci’s Brobass, a dancefloor essential crafted with a housey, playful bass, and swingy, carefully arranged percussions. The synths triggered along the track are blending fluently with them.

The A-side continues with Lurre’s Deloc, Pe Loc, a tune for the early mornings, constructed with well chosen, reverberating drum hits and acoustic elements. Lurre’s atmospheric arrangement, with warm pads and vocals, define this track’s final savor.

This year Alin Crihan has been showing many different sides of his musical palette. For the 12th UVAR he pushes the boundaries yet one more time and draws six mind altering musical trips. The album takes the listener on an intricate and enigmatic ride where he once again demonstrates his remarkable ear and understanding for detail. The album is dominated by warm, floppy mirco sounds and noises woven into a steady beat . The complex composition and texture feels light to the ears of the listener which makes this album a refined, multilayered creation.


Alin’s fascination for the sea and river made him reconnect to it while producing the album. Listening closely, one will perceive the pleasurably peaceful sounds that radiate a deep dive into the water or navigate you near it. Symbolically water stands for purity, circulation, flow and motion, so all the characteristics that apply to the sounds and noises that we come across hearing in the six tracks. The album is a beautiful and pure way to reconnect with something that lies in our instincts - an inner peace treaty. In most of us this feeling evokes around water, when we get away from the city, the troubles or even ourselves and start rearranging and clearing the thoughts in our heads.

We here at Silence In Metropolis are very excited to bring you our second Vinly only VA release with some heavy tracks from an eclectic group of talent.

This release kicks off on Side A with west coast based underground craftsman Pezzner who brings us "Devil's Advocate" which is an organic dark, moody, percussive exploration that is both artistic as it is dance floor ready. Sascha Dive returns to SIM and brings his signature deep house vibe on "Chez Groove" that will make any house head move.

Sibe B brings the London break out artist James Dexter to SIM with "Inside," a deep cut featuring a heart throbbin bassline, a kick and snare combo that chugs with anthem like vocal hits... must have for a deep set! The final cut is a classic deep house masterpiece called "Nine" delivered by the Italian duo Marsupials that has everything we love about house, deep chords and pads, a solid bottom end, and a healthy arpeggio to keep things grooving.

G76 establishes a sonic universe that dares to immerse you with a piercing and powerful tone on his latest EP for Naural - Giarmata Plutonium. His electronic arrangements are enriched with seductive energy, delivering a straight-forward sound that reveals modern minimal-tech templates.

“A good colonel is hard to find” introduces a hollowed-out groove with eventual vocal shadings and glitchy modular accents providing the ear candy.

“Unmark my words” is a chunky four-to-the-floor track with tantalizing details like ascending bleeps, precisely arranged snares and drum hits, but as it builds, delirious synth spiral in a maddeningly intricate manner.

‘Empirical Test Vol. I - VA’, our very first release, it’s finally out. Let us show you our minimalistic sonic lab. We believe in tracks for the dancefloor with an eye in experimental and introspective views of electronic music. A1. ‘Frics’ is probably the most well-known work here. Developed by Romanian talent Cojoc it has become a serious festival banger thanks to a killer bassline mixed with an aggressive synthesizer which remains a machine gun. A2. ‘Mal So Mal So’ arrives directly from Switzerland. Produced by Marques Sigi mixing spatial and analog sounds with an exquisite modular electronic sequence. The rhythm is marked by catchy kicks and swift hi hats plus some straightforward pads and effects. Classy and harmonious. B1. ‘Space Runner’ involves Angel Mosteiro and Joel Vazquez —part of Bohrium crew— premiering his first production as Akela. In this track the duo propose breaky atmospheres, rhythmic movements full of textures in a complete sequence of energetic synthesizers. The melody makes you traveling into a sonic, organic and hypnotic deepness. B2. ‘The Muggles’ by Panamanian producer Avidel proposes a playful, funny and easygoing track. Twisted basslines, fresh summer beats, nice grooves, and good vibes.

Holy Beats EP kicks things off in style, with the track that gives the title. As moments go by, more elements are added to this powerful journey until it morfs into a truly industrial techno masterpiece.

On the second part of the EP we are Trapped In some mesmerising sounds with a strong layer of direct bass lines. Again, there is no nonsense here – a linear journey, taking us above and beyond and a perfect tune to get you moving on the dancefloor.

San Francisco’s Manjumasi makes its first foray into wax with the vinyl-only release of History Ate Itself by San Francisco producer and label alumnus R. Fentz. First up on the A-side is the title track - a complex and textured piece, full of intricate percussion and sonic detail. The track evokes a sense of journey, with synth pads building and working through stages of crescendo and release. A percussive, punchy bassline holds steady throughout, giving a sense of time pushing ever-forwards.


Next up on the AA is Glitter, a more light-hearted number with a friendly and inquisitive disposition. As a counterpoint to the urgency and insistence of History, here R. Fentz uses delicate, gentle touches to create an inviting, warm atmosphere. The bubbly groove has a delightfully playful bounce that washes over the listener, with sparkling synth details float over the silky groove as the track works its way forward.

On the flip side, Ukrainian producer Silat Beksi takes on remix duties and delivers a supremely heady and tasteful reworking of Glitter. His version builds a soft bed of pads over a punchy groove. A very tasty dub-filtered synth groove slowly works its way into the mix. The result is a complex and organic sonic tapestry with no shortage of sparkle and shine, but plenty of subterranean depth. Yet another extremely solid offering in this sought-after producer’s vinyl-only catalog.

Longstanding series Afterhours. unveils its debut vinyl record, as they tap Romanian underground producer RQZ for EP ’Sublevels’.

Daniel Sanchez is back to Bad Barbie with an astonishing four track release named Kaddara EP. On the A Side we have Bara Groove first, a fantastic Live Jam session that express nothing else than the creativity, soul and talent of Daniel Sanchez as DJ/Producer. This track presents a superb and sophisticated groove that can easily ignite the crowd at any dance floor with its energy and vibe. As a second track from this side we have Slick Thin Version, which is nothing else than a great No Kick Tool that works as support for any long mix to create an especial moment of tension during the blend of two or more tracks at the same time. Over the B Side we have Dusty MicroHead as first, which is beautiful long run of pure micro-house with a subtle hypnotic vibe that slowly evolves into a fantastic sonic experience with a stunning low-end work. And for last is Spacey, a Dub infused track extracts sounds from intricated resonances, synths and intriguing vocal reflections immersed in strong atmospheric reverbs. A truly master piece from Daniel that shows the true versatility of this Amsterdam based legend.

First release of Abstrakt Minded Records, a new electronic music label based on the club sound.

It cuts the boundaries of Minimal/Techno music, with some experimental touches that will definitely keep your ears opened.
Made on purpose for deejays to play these records, and this label is meant to be one of the finest selection in the underground electronic music scene.

For the first release we have two original tracks and one remix. For the A side Abstrakt Minded reserved a spot for the owner of the label, Friedrich Becker, who already released vinyls on important label such as Plaisir Records. A trippy sound
and dark atmospheres will fit perfectly on the fat and groovy break-beat. Perfect for after-hours time.

The B side contains a superb work from Sabèr, a producer from Turin, that with this 4/4 groove will lead you towards the dancefloor in a beautiful way. Strong rhythm, dark vibes and repetitive drum patterns are going to keep your head moving all
along the track.

In the end we have a special remix from Herck (Curtea Veche), the romanian recognised talent who amazes all the listeners in the underground scene. His tracks have been played since years from giants like Ricardo Villalobos, Petre Inspirescu, Rhadoo, Raresh, Arapu, Barac and many more.

He gives us a wonderful remix, giving another face to Sabèr's track. A happier, groovier and more melodic sound, will definitely bring the summer vibes to your soul.

Ben Rau returns with the second release on his Inkal imprint February 15th, featuring new original tracks from the German artist.

Berlin's Ben Rau has become a prominent name in groove-laden house music over the years resident and artist with London's inimitable Fuse events and record label, as well as releases label such as JusGrooveIt and Body Parts.

This February will see Ben back on form with the second release for the label and opening th up is title track 'Work Hard', a smooth slice of driving house fuelled by snaking bass grooves,
slung bumpy percussion and vacillating vocal swells, whilst chugging acid licks and introduction of additional vocal lines gradually creep into the composition.

On the flip is 'Ouisky', another raw, stripped-back addition employing thunderous sub bass sur heavily swung percussive shuffles and an amalgamation of bright chord stabs layered into a hnodding, infectious and dynamic sequence throughout.
