Berlin born and bred producer Ben Rau has been steadily carving out his own brand of stripped-back and groove fuelled house music over the past few years, forming his style as resident DJ for Enzo Siragusa's Fuse parties , before going on to release material with the Fuse London label amongst others such as JusGrooveIt and Body Parts.

Here though we see Rau take strides in his own direction with the launch of his brand new imprint Inkal Music, a vinyl only imprint predominantly focusing on material from the label owner himself.
Taking the lead on the package is title-track 'Don't You Know' which sees Rau deliver a hypnotic slice of dubbed out house fuelled by heavily swung percussion, rumbling subs, snaking dub swells and an enchanting vocal hook uttering the track's title.
On the flip Ben offers 'Metatrack' and takes a more robust approach bringing a sturdy rhythmic foundation to the forefront whilst wandering acid licks, spellbinding atmospherics and vocal shots ebb and flow throughout the compositions eight minutes.

As with the previous two releases on the label, 'Rellik' was recorded live and on the first take using a selection of analog synths, drum machines and sequencers, particularly the warm and dynamic sound of the E-Mu SP 1200 as the lead.
'The 'Rellik' project is a mashup between Rock and Hip Hop elements using SP1200 classic drum kits, filtered and distorted synths. We call this Krauttech' - MASK Intense sirens set the tone of the A1 before introducing a thumping sub and delayed snares, making way for harsh bass and dark effects in the A2 to generate an ominous atmosphere. On the flip, the B1 brings crunchy, modulated synths alongside an intense and thunderous kick whilst the B2 delivers a thick, pulsating low-end with an assortment of metallic and heavy drones that round off this cryptic
package.

Mental Overdrive, Norwegian gran ol wizard of techno, owner of Love OD Communications starts of with 'Clocked', a colorful and moody track with a touch of grittyness. Thomas Urv, Ploink Label head and one of Norwegian techno's main protagonists, brings a signature raw high energy techno track '6.24 Con Dao'. Per Hammar, Swedish producer and DJ based in Berlin, the captain behind Dirty Hands and 10Years labels delivers a steady dubbed hypnotic house track 'Blank Space'. Thomas Skjaerstad from Trysil, Norwegian winner of Burn Residency 2017 finishes the EP with a punchy, dark spaced out techno track titled 'Space X (Sommeroya Edit)'.

Le Louche's track selections are a result of his never-ending search for finding the perfect grooves that soothe the soul.
He aims to synthesise his musical influences to create the type of music that he appreciates the most: groovy basslines and deep synths tied together by a shuffling house beat. His first release on vinyl on Daydream perfectly exemplifies this.

The French duo Dixia Sirong pays tribute to the Singaporean Velvet Underground club, where they first discovered and experienced the power of House music. Their eclectic inspired sound is placed between hard bass grooves and tranquil wavelength. Our second vinyl release 'Apus La Cariera' comes from Mihai Pol and it is an organic reinterpretation of the musical influences that Mihai gathered and perfected him as an newly emerging artist.
TRCKV02 is harmonious flared release with sounds pitching having been placed in a frenziedly yet smart allegory, only to create a well rounded three track release. 'Apus La Cariera' follows a mystical allure to its journey, whereas 'Raw' is more of an unpolished track, especially aimed to be a rough piece of the release. 'Prepareu' on the other hand intrigues the B-side with an uneven story to tell.

Indigenous Electronic is a recently launched vinyl only label, seeking to showcase a combination of both known and undiscovered talent. The label's first release is a 4 track ep, by Siamak Amidi, the creative director of Analog Room in Dubai, as well as a producer, dj and Volt music label boss. The EP reflects the producer's experience with the confluence of both analog and digital synthesis. The A side presenting newer material with the B side some of his older unreleased works. "Unconditional Love" a stripped down affair, deep, dynamic and ethereal without ever losing the focus on the groove with it's tight production. "Retro Floor Vison Aspect" takes us further into trippier post 5am territory, also stripped yet with enough going on to keep the senses tantalized, the standout hook to the bassline, swirling micro electronics with a variated jacking high hat, tried and tested. Siamak's "Tool" is a deep techy driving affair, with light haunting pads above and throughout track with original use of effects on the high end percussion. "You Think You Know It" is a rolling percussive track that comfortably rides the boundary between house and techno, with well defined low end and sweeping synth pads that once again demonstrates Amidi's abilities in the mix down to not swamp the track or dilute the groove. youANDme is a duo that has long been associated with the Berlin scene and quality house and techno. They have released on the likes of Cocoon and Desolat amongst others, and run their own Rotary Cocktail label, plus Polymorph and a few other mysterious outlets. Picking up props from big name players and at home remixing the likes of Seth Troxler and Lawrence, this pair has nearly a decade in the game behind them, and it shows in their accomplished sounds.

Opener 'PPPPP (Diva Mix)' is a truly compelling house track with an effortlessly groovy feel, disco fried stabs and smooth wood block hits that glide the thing along. It is party starting yet subtle, big yet clever and has some firing vocal samples to really set the track alight.

The just as essential Drunken Diva Mix is a rework that has playful drums dropping in and out, bigger stabs and more cut up energy thanks to lots of careful tweaks. It is freewheeling and charming and cannot fail to make you move. Lastly, an instrumental version is supplied for purely physical dance floor deployment, and is sure to be devastating.

Marc Leclair aka Akufen, has long been considered one of electronic music's most fascinating producers. His latest comes at us from emerging Italian label, Telharmonic Texture. The label's third release (following releases by Jeff Samuel and Paradroid ft. a remix by label boss, Pressure Point), 'Music 2 Wiggle 2' sees the Canadian perk up with three original tracks. As always with Akufen, they're striking in their originality and level of detail especially.

Pheek returns with a rare vinyl EP and makes a bold statement in dropping fresh new tunes that will please any adventurous DJs. While groovy, the tracks mark Pheek's usual, very intricate and bizarre but always reliable dancefloor material.

Starting off on this first release, Berlin based duo The Willers Brothers, deliver two very strong originals on the A-side. On the B-flipside, Nick Beringer and Mike Sharon put their craft on the remixes to complete an allround debut package.

This is the second edition of the compilation series of the Tijuana based club Wherehouse. Curated by Soul Of Hex, gathers sounds of his friends, Roman Rauch (Philpot), Moony Me (Uncanny Valley), and a collaboration between NY*AK & Mark Hand (Technicolour). Starting off the record, ''Mindeasy'', is a slap bass jam funk (played by Soul Of Hex himself) melodic arpeggios, and tr 707 percussive works. On the second track of the A side, it follows with ''Eu4ia'', a MPC groover, composed of rhodes and uplifting sophisticated beats. On the other side we have ''Daydreamin'', which is a R&B influenced track, feel good created by the venezuelan born, Eduardo Arreaza aka Moony Me. ''Can't You See'' is a slow groover, full tremolo rhodes played by Mark Hand and beats by the magician, NY*AK. The concept is simple, this is hand crafted computer music, as shown in the artwork, made for the eternity.

Keeping the concept of a tight knit family of artists, up next on Sol Asylum is the follow up EP for the Dilated Pupils titled Introducing Remi. This collective of likeminded artists from the Netherlands return to the label with a solid four-track EP that shows their range and diversity as producers.

Moving full speed ahead we start off with 'Remi at 21.16' a track that instantly hypnotizes you on the dance floor with its echoing harmonic synths and a complex metallic snare pattern. The track is a slow burner that explodes when the dirty analog kick, swinging bassline, and filtered percussion melt into an atomic fusion.

Next we take it to the next level with 'Do' its underwater bubbling percussion, bleeping stabs and eerie synth take us to the far off corners of space with just enough acid to keep our heads down and grooving to the strobe light in a dark room.

As we move into fall with 'October Times' a tightly woven groove and galloping kicks push us into more experimental territory with soaring vintage synths that create tension and finesse at the same time.

Finally we finishing things off with the esoteric vibes of 'Suque' this deep and dirty track channels the positive force from another realm, which is the perfect match for the inspiriting concept of Sol Asylum.

Leftback 013 introduces a contemporary series dedicated to bringing through new artists and friends of the label. Internal Connections Volume 1' delivers 4 tracks of stripped back grooves, dark melodic tones and organic instrumentation. Dudley Strangeways & Michael McLardy set the trend on A1 with a building roller using delayed stabs from the main hook that teases its way in towards the end of the track. A2 is by Midlands based DJ and producer Bunny, who plays regular slots at Birmingham's Rainbow venues as well as being resident for Social Underground and has played alongside the likes of Raresh, Fuse, East End Dubs & Sonja Moonear. Bunny supplies a stripped back groove focusing on the rhythm, with intricate hi hat patterns that counter with the bassline. Szymon Wnuk provides nine minutes of deep and twisted minimal for B1 that uses sparse rising base and an understated kick drum that carries the track. B2 welcomes Leftback resident Chris Boardman on his production debut that rounds the EP off with a heavier techno leaning feel that compliments the rest of the EP well. VINYL ONLY.

For the forthcoming VITNYL003 Clive Henry drops a fifteen minute long opus on a single sided limited edition vinyl.'My Fifteen Minutes of Fame' is contrastingly raw in it's production and sublime in composition. It's gentle meandering melodies float over a warm bed of muted pads and analogue bass.

Recorded as a live jam and stripped down to its constituent parts its melodies take centre stage, enthralling the listener into what can be best described as an acid house lullaby and what has already been penned as an instant balearic classic.

The first track, Moaning, has a linear feeling at the beginning: a layer of bass lines makes your feet move instantly until some subtle piano sounds come in at the perfect moment. It creates an atmospheric vibe and when the bass kicks in again, everything seems to fall into place. Cosmjn's interpretation is, as expected, more serious and it has a no-nonsense approach: stripped of the melodic piano sounds, a strong bass line takes over, which makes for an interesting contrast to the original track.

If Moaning was a more gentle track, Fr Sa Su is a little bit different: dance floor oriented, the rhythm is certainly higher and it has some intriguing background sounds that go hand in hand with the powerful bass that grows on you from the start of the track. The Florian Meffert remix closes this EP and it goes out on a strong note: it is a complex track with very different elements and sounds that complement each other just right to get things going.

There are no boundaries for Fun Records when it comes to continue spreading its refreshing sounds beyond trends and predictable beats.That's why this fifth release welcomes Mariano Mateljan, the infamous Croatian DJ, producer and one of the most talented and recognized electronic music artists of the country and abroad. Nibong (Fun 005) comes out with 4 tracks, traced by the analog frizzly details that have been characterizing every Fun's release. But there is even more behind the pristine minimalistic house signed by Mateljan and pressed on both vinyl's side: we can say that this time, Fun's got a bit more serious (just a bit, don't misunderstand us): Nibong EP enters directly to the highest clubbing experience but shaped as only Mateljan could make it. Listening to Thetea track on the B side will make you difficult to stand still without letting yourself go and stop thinking for a while in order to let your imagination emerge: enjoy the amenity of subtle feelings rising as the dreamy and slightly broken melody develops catching your attention. Lotus, the second B side track, may be the most ethereal one, and both together leave us having fun and feeling sensitive as if the sunset would catch ups by surprise on the beach. If you want to explore the also funny but darker side, the A side may be like the taoist yin conception, only understandable if yang is magically kept in Lotus and Thetea. And that's the clue of Mateljan's superb productions: Slippery Slope and Nibong's A tracks are well balanced, but at the same time the release has its own balance too. The result has generated a complex but coherent structure that keeps making you feel addicted to the sounds, no matter how many times you play and dance to them. Vivus Records, the underground South German label, invites London-based and RLZ Music label boss Rowlanz for an acid-infused journey thourghout some minimal streets.

Having received constant support from the likes of Gescu, Barac or Archie Hamilton, Rowlanz is a name you should keep an eye on in the future and it is fitting that he has decided to collaborate with Melodie, a young Romanian prodigy that has had a quite meteoric rise in the past year.

We kick things off with Laniakea which is full of brisk grooves with just a pinch of an acid feeling to it that will get you moving accordingly. The hi-hats and subtle bassline complete each other to a mesmerising effect and the background sounds give a lovely deepness to the track.

The stunning vocals on 312 act as a reminder that you can always expect a surprise from Rowlanz and he is in full creative mode here. You can almost imagine the radiant energy boost that this track would give to dance floor enthuasiasts after a long night with a dark atmosphere.

Melodie's interpretation of 312 has the Romanian's trademark sound all over it: acid sounds covered with a strong but linear bassline that floats all over the song.
