Grey Marbled Vinyl

First release from an independent label born in the Swiss Alps. Presenting a single dub techno track accompanied with a remix from the electronic music pioneer Anton Zap. Each track provides the right element for different times and emotions.

Nomada Records has shown several times that they have a good sense for fresh talents. This time the label spotted the sample-based producer Martin Georgi (quietelegance, OYE Black, Seismographic Records).

He has already popped up in the deep house scene a few years ago, as Delfonic kissed the artist from his slumber by releasing tracks of him which originally were produced on vinyl back in 2008. So, no wonder that on the flipside of the new release, a contribution by Delfonic can be found. It is a live session, originally penned by Georgi and pursuing the idea of bizarre mash-up. In addition, on the B-side you will find another interesting name which can be interpreted as an “alias” of Martin Georgi himself.

The A-side acts as an EP called “Motor City Damage Ep”. Here, Georgi was inspired by the rising civic movement from Detroit. While the car industry had abandoned D-Town, they left behind not only a high unemployment rate, but also unused industrial wasteland. Some of those very large areas are used now by a citizens’ initiative for vegetable gardens, bringing in a benefit for the citizens involved. Georgi was so fascinated by this initiative that he sampled and connected interview excerpts from the project, in strong contrast to interview snippets from different documentaries, which focuse on Detroit's suffering from poverty and unemployment. This is how the track “Green Motor Damage” was created. As a musical reinforcement keyboardist and synth lover George John (Kommerz, Gettogether, BlaqNumbers) got to the keys, giving the track a soulful funky touch. Another track on the EP’s A-Side is called “Summer Kisses”, which “romanticizes” the dystopian aura of the city Detroit with idiosyncratic monotony. Here Georgi adapted the idea of film director Jim Jarmusch who pursued a similar project in his film “Only Lovers Left Alive”.

The third track is called “Waiting for a call” with a slight wink for the dance floor, but also an ironic statement on the exploitation of employees by outsourcing jobs to call center companies.

Undoubtedly Martin Georgi stands for a unique way of approaching musical productions. On the one hand through the dusty, persistent technique of sampling, on the other hand he is not guided by current trends, but much more by his reflections on social and ecological issues. One who ensures that the current dance floor continues to feel the skillful era of “intelligent sample-based house music”!

Adrianho is signing our 3rd Ep to date, and with this he takes the audience on a beautiful journey with 3 stunning tracks featuring a dancefloor banger remix from his fellow romanian Vern.

The next edition of our Raw format features our Parisian-based, Moroccan-born friends Simo & Alich. Known for their deep minimal productions with an edge of the unknown, the two embark on a journey with this Reggae inspired “Iz No Good”. A deep warmth and positivity evolves and grows throughout the composition. “An Da Le” introduces some passionate latin riffs while “Wis Pe Ra” equally morphs the EP together and lets you glide into dark and gloomy textures that represent the firm underground of Paris in its essence balancing light and darkness. To top it all off, the producer Crihan has remixed the title track of the EP to give it the typical Romanian depth and psychedelic soundscapes we have come to love and respect so much.

For its eighth release Cedesciu Wax brings us Russian native Balinsky!

Nomada Records proudly welcomes Detroit's legendary House and Techno producer Gari Romalis with "Detroit Hustle EP"; a four track release where we can enjoy the distrinctive and slinky Deep House and Techno energy that characterizes Gari Romalis' sound.

The A-side starts with "I'm Wonder Luc" a heavy weight opener where Gari catches us with punchy drums, warm pads, infectious sub basslines, catchy vocal samples and deep piano stabs. The following track is called "Floor Anthem (Ghost Mix)"; a nostalgic deep house beauty with Lush chords, chunky beats and catchy melodies.

On the flip Gari goes more deeper and techy with "Float On"; the hypnotic arp and chrod progression, the strong bassline and punchy drums make the perfect track to destroy dancegloors this summer. The B-side closses with the sey deep house sampled track called "Detroit After Dark".

Habibi Grooves lands on Lisztomania Records with the awesome Imaginary Friends, along with remixes from three other big hitters.
The original mix sets the scene with a gorgeous, laid back trip-hop vibe, stuffed full of luscious strings, emotive piano riffs and moogy bass that keeps your head nodding throughout.
Up first on remix duties is Onur Ozman with his trademark style of technically infused deep house. A minimal yet flamboyant beat underscores this airy remix, which is bursting with lush pads, filter sweeping synth lines and sparkling strings. Add a funky moog-esque bassline and you’ve got the perfect follow up to the original.
Remix number two sees Chocky Strings Attached bringing a smouldering offering to the release, with swelling string sections, a relentless beat and a brooding bassline, this one is for the afterhours crew!
Finally, we have Guri with a super funky yet undeniably deep remix. Laced with electric piano, strings, 303 and a slick bassline, Guri offers up some pure dance floor material. The perfect end to an awesome release.

Ion Ludwig goes off the beaten path with A Better Future To Long EP, to add a new chapter to Metereze’s rather unconventional musical journey.

Each of the three cuts can be easily pictured as electronic mandalas: launched into the frequency modulated dense air, repeating themselves over and over again until they get hardcoded into the dance floor memory.

Each of the three cuts is building momentum around an obsessive pattern, meant to anchor the listener into the here and now. "140KM:h" comes with a dusty acid feel driven within the reverbs, stretched on the whole Side A. "A better future to long", can go easily as a dark tint of stripped techno, until you isolate the trippy melodic mold from the heavy background. "Abstracy" is nothing but a lo fi strip, filled with rolling basslines, a proper reminder that house music has its own twisted side.
