It was twenty years ago this year that Koki Emura, after cutting his teeth working in Osaka's record shops, decided to start his own record label. Since then, we have been regaled with anything from Joe Meek to Noah Creshevsky, Steel An' Skin, Yoshi Wada and Brenda Ray - and it always seems, a universe more. Every release a surprise, an education, and always great music. Here's to the next twenty years.

To celebrate the label's anniversary, Em has had a small run of tee shirts made up, with the classic ear / heart logo, on white United Athle tees, with an Em logo inside collar label.
