Kamixlo lands on PAN and Visionist's newly relaunched imprint CODES with his debut EP, 'Demonico.'
A Brixton- based producer with Chilean blood, Kamixlo is a key member of South London's roaming Endless party, now being singled out as an incubator for up-and-coming talent.
Following an appearance on collaborator Blaze Kidd's 'Exclusivo' mixtape, 'Demonico' is a stark, raw, and militant opening statement. From the satanic drones of opener Otra Noche,' Kamixlo's club-forward approach combines Latin influences of reggaeton and bachata with punishing crunch and spat percussion. Brash, anthemic, and primed for club play, this year has brought Paleta' into heavy rotation in London's underground scene. Splxcity' sweeps distortion's outer bounds, and in Lariat,' hints of melody provide brief cover from a hailstorm of ballistic vocals before the whole track dissolves into oil.Having just delivered his inaugural LP 'Safe' on PAN, Visionist re-grids Lariat' with signature cut-and-paste techniques and glacial synths. The EP is mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy, and features artwork by PWR Studio & Bill Kouligas with additional art by Daniel Swan.

Of course, there's a story behind every release, and this Ligovskoi debut on DEMENT3D goes back to one of their first live performances in Paris, back in 2011, organized by our "cousin" label Silicate : a group of artists - including DSCRD - were invited to recompose an ambient soundtrack on the movie Outland by Peter Hyams. Ligovskoi 's live performance was absolute magic, and their intense and powerful sound signature - with moving infra-thin melodies, ethereal noises, and deep bass foundations - was already sounding perfect. Ligovskoi, aka Nikolai Azonov and Valerio Selig, started as a drone / ambient / experimental project in 2010. Their previous musical activities had in fact crossed our paths many times before, either at concerts where Nikolai was performing behind the synths, or projects Valerio was presenting at Beaux-Arts de Cergy, the art school where a couple of seminal techno parties happened, orchestrated by one of Polar Inertia's members... Welcoming the young duo in our label's shelf had become obvious : their tracks have very often found their way in our DJ sets, their live performances were featured in our label nights, and we even organized some more small private experimental concerts to introduce their music to our public. We felt Ligovskoi was gradually becoming more and more inspirational among a range of local and international artists, and it seemed relevant to have their rich and stirring music remixed by artists from label affiliates and other artists that we love. So, we asked In Aeternam Vale, French synth / punk / electronic pioneer : after being blown away by some of the re-issues on Minimal Wave, and meeting him in person early 2013 at one of his rare Parisian live appearances, he delivered a hybrid reinterpretation of the track G.Y. Soon after, we asked Abdulla Rashim - who had already delivered an amazing reinterpretation of Polar Inertia's Black Sun - to deliver some of his static magic on Labiate, resulting in a beautiful, horizontal and immersive piece. Last but not least, on D-side of this double-EP release, both label's co-founders, Francois X and Heartbeat each teamed up with their Parisian mates : Antigone and Voiski to execute techno versions of Ligovskoi 's wizardry. Antigone & Francois X' s remix of the EP's title track : Dilip is a mental and driving groove that merges perfectly both of their signatures, while Voiski & Heartbeat deliver a slow-tempo and powerful live take on Goha - illustrating one of the many aspects of their live project together : HBTVSK. This release is very diverse, conveys strong emotions and states some radical aesthetics, we hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

Liquid G. (Liquid Garbage) is the project of EBM stalwart Peter van Bogaert from Melsele, Belgium. In 1987, he began to record music and self-release limited cassettes on his own label Liquid Produkts. Between 1987 and 1990, Peter composed over nine albums, in addition to a split release with Vomito Negro. Liquid G. made their first vinyl appearance on the 'Expo 87' 7' compilation, courtesy of Dirk Ivens' Body Records. 'Liquidation' is the first ever vinyl compilation of Liquid G.'s cassette recordings, taking you on a journey through the underground of the Belgian Electro Industrial scene. Each song was written, produced, recorded and performed by solely by Peter between 1987-1989. Liquid G. captures the DIY synth-punk ethos of Cabaret Voltaire, The Screamers, and Nervous Gender.

"Empty Airport", Chra's first LP on Editions Mego may be read as a reference to Brian Eno's ambient classic, though this time we find ourselves in a territory of transit that sounds like a dystopian swan song on civilizatoric debris - a heteropia in which the listener restores himself in a surrounding that is emptied of human remains, having left just some ghostly echoes behind. Chra aka Comfortzone-Labelfoundress Christina Nemec has traced out a post-anthropocene area in which acoustic entries of field recordings are stratified in layers of deconstructed noisescapes. Partly interspersed with clunky technoid bass-lines, an introspective space is opened, which excavates in a discreet and subtle manner, layers of abandoned wasteland. Nemec, who is a member of various band projects like Shampoo Boy (together with Peter Rehberg and Christian Schachinger) or the female berzerker formation SV Damenkraf as well as Pasajera Oscura, has succeeded in producing a significant LP, that merges dark techno and industrial with found sounds and ambient scapes, resulting in a compositoric minimalism that is ushering us in a state of existential trance.

Finally, after much wrangling, the Blank Recording Company is truly chuffed to be able to make available again for the first time since their original releases the three highly sought after and extremely rare albums by John Sangster, originally released on Festival Records from 1967-1969. October sees the release of the first two, December sees the release of the third and final album from 1969, Ahead Of Hair. All three of these albums are mastered from the original analogue master tapes. All three sport the original cover art All three are sounding better than ever.

John Sangster is known the world over as a legendary Australian jazz multi instrumentalist, composer and arranger. Aside from releasing his own records, his name is on credits on many other albums from straight ahead jazz, prog, psych, country rock, soul and all points between. Copperwine, Tully, Don Burrows, Ray Brown / Moonstone, Sven Libaek, Judy Bailey. The list goes on.... Here's where it all came together on the solo tip...

First album, originally released in 1967. An all cover affair. A mixed bag of current pop hits from the likes of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Rolling Stones with Brazilian bossa nova, jazz and takes on soundtrack themes. Players on this album are John Sangster, George Golla, Sven Libaek (who also handles arrangements), Ed Gaston and Len Hutchinson. Produced by Pat Aulton.

Scott Morgan notes: Compositionally, many tracks on Plume are similar in approach to First Narrows; they started with a harmonic root from which sounds were processed into a loose structure over whcih the live players could improvise. There was substantially less editing this time around with the live tracks. I opted to choose the better improvised passes and merely mix them in and out rather than cut them up. I think this leaves a lot more natural space and balances the heavily structured and repetitive electronic elements with more organic performed layers.



Jason Zumpano returned from the First Narrows ensemble and I aslo recruited long time friend Steve Wood and my partner Krista to play some ebow guitar as well as Josh Lindstrom to play some xylophone and vibraphone which added some new elements into the mix.

Thematically, I stuck with things that are quintessentially loscil; flow, subtle movement, gradual transition, growth. Also of significance to this album is the family connection. "Charlie" was composed after seeing and hearing my daughter Sadie through ultrasound while still in the womb. The track was also composed as a womb-like sound experience for her to sleep to after she was born, hence the heart beats.

'Straight Lines' is a thing of beauty with its organic percussion, synths, pianos, brass, bleep and vocal hooks - and that's just a small instrument percentage. Rolling b-boy breaks switch with escalating filtered pads and distorted bass snaps. A great debut from Naibu with 'Straight Lines.' Paradox Music Quality. PM031 worthy. 'Replaced' swings in with Rhode keys and bells flying on top of funky breakbeats for a high quality Drum & Bass number reminiscent of early Seba productions. Bleep pops and bass strums let the drums breathe whilst switching with the key changes. Impressive.

London-via-Humberside dream-pop perfectionists Night Flowers announce their return with shimmering new single 'Sleep'.

Bright and airy, 'Sleep' is the sound of a band ready to embrace their glowing future, as they welcome new vocalist Sophia Pettit to the fold. The track shines with Night Flowers irresistible cocktail of transatlantic, intertwining male/female vocals, backed by wistful but powerful guitars and nineties shoegaze atmospherics.

RED003: With the success of Pushing Red's first two releases, we decided we would step things up with remixes from the scenes top producers in their respected genres. Both F & Headhunter need no introductions fusing unique ideas & production values when it comes to dubstep & techno. These two remixes showcase both style and class in a way that only F & Headhunter can pull off and we are truly honored to have them involved.

A. Azure ( F Remix )
Kicking things off is F with a outstanding recreation of Jus Wan's already classic 'Azure'. A sneaking intro builds on the original pads before dropping into a steady snare. Growling bass slowly sneaks into the picture and drops into and perfect blend of rough & smooth. F has taken an already great tune and kept the integrity of the original, while giving it his own signature flavor. Classic remix!

AA. Avoid The Noid ( Headhunter Remix )
Another man who needs no introduction has graced us with a superb remix of DJG's 'Avoid The Noid'. Headhunter takes things very deep with a thumping 4/4, deep house kind of affair. A deep kick keeps the pace with deep low end that will work out any sound system. The original pads have been drawn out and sprinkled with the original key work. Fans of deep dubstep and house will love this tune and we hope as much as we do!

RED005: Long time producer and innovator ASC steps to Pushing Red with two fantastic pieces of Detroit-tinged techno. He's well known in many circles for his wonderful drum & bass releases which more recently have brought him success on such labels Exit, Nonplus & his own Auxilary. His is also known for other tempos and this release is pure evidence that he is just as deadly in this realm as his drum & bass!

A. ADVENT
A punishing 4/4 kicks things off before distorted, crushing bass and effects propel this monster into Detroit territory! While this tune is a monster, everything is perfectly layered and everything within the tune makes sense. Reverbed keys and delayed effects pull everything together! Definitely one for the fans who like their beats with a little teeth!

AA. THE GLOW
The Glow harks back to the glory days of Warp Records and mid 90's techno & electronic. A subtle 4/4 keeps the momentum going while the bassline could workout any soundsystem. Lush keys and pads sit perfectly on top creating that wonderful melodic and nostalgia feel! Definitely one for fans of deeper, melodic techno!

RED007: Red007 sees Pushing Red taking a slightly different turn with more of a 'juke' style release. (Greek - known as Dimitri) buckles down with a with what could be called as a fusion of juke, ghetto house & footwork to outstanding results. The sharp 808 kicks and bassline pulsate throughout the tune while a sharp vocal sample cuts through giving the tune that much more punch! Flip over for the wonderful Ikonika remix. Ikonika has really taken this tune and given it her own feel and appeal. Turning the stormer into more of a halftime/ house feel, it's hard to put to words the outcome. It's ferocious & melodic and all wrapped up with that signature Ikonika feel! One you just have to hear!

Das Album ist geprägt durch repetitive Motive, weiche Melodiebögen, geschichtete Klanglandschaften und
rhythmische Basslinien. Die Reaktion auf "Head-Visions" war überwältigend. Radio-Airplay, große Konzerte
und Aufträge für Modeschauen und TV-Formate zeigten, dass er auf dem richtigen Weg war. Kistenmachers
Debüt wird nun als Digipak, Vinyl und Download mit dem Original-Cover des Berliner Bildhauers Rainer

dauerte es bis 1982, bevor Kistenmachers musikalische Abenteuer mit der Anschaffung eines Korg
Mono/Poly starteten. Nachdem noch diverse weitere analoge Synthesizer in seinen Besitz gelangten,
veröffentlichte er zwischen 1984-86 drei Kassetten. Doch erst mit seinem Debüt machte er nachhaltig auf sich

Nach Hunderten Shows in Europa und Lateinamerika melden sich iLLBiLLY HiTEC mit ihrer zweiten CD
zurück: Während bei ihrem gefeierten 2013er-Debütalbum "Reggaetronics" die Verschmelzung von Reggae
mit elektronischen Elementen im Vordergrund stand, haben die Berliner auf "Reggae Not Dead" das Genre
ganz lässig bei der Wurzel gepackt und einmal auf links gedreht. Herausgekommen ist eine
abwechslungsreiche Mischung aus Roots, Digital, Hip-Hop und Dub. Neben den beiden Sängern Longfingah
und Tribuman, die bereits auf dem Erstling von iLLBiLLY HiTEC zu hören waren und mit den Jungs natürlich
auch auf Tour waren, geben sich bei "Reggae Not Dead" mit Paco Mendoza, Lengualerta, Daman, Kinetical
und Ceshire Cat auch wieder zahlreiche internationale Stars das Mikrofon in die Hand. Als Bonus gibt es
gleich vier Remixe von J*Star, Zion Train, Krak In Dub und Fleck sowie eine Riddim Selection mit Versions
von Don Caramelo (Raggabund), Lengualerta, Benjie und The Hempolics (London) oben drauf. So kommt die
CD auf stolze 19 Songs, die erneut beweisen, dass Reggae aus Deutschland längst nicht tot, sondern auch
über unsere Landesgrenzen hinaus ziemlich beliebt ist.

Following on from 2014's Terrestre' 12', Lawrence Le Doux returns to Belgium's Vlek label with the 'Pollution' EP, 4 tracks of playful, hauntologically minded Electronica and Techno. Kicking off with the mesmerising loops of 'Floor', Le Doux works his machines to create an analogue gyre that ensnares the unguarded listener and neatly segues into 'Liquide' where a sublime mist of gentle hiss settles over his unworldly, almost naive, sounding synths and metronomic beat.

Smith and Shaun Ryder. But you don't get onto dBridge's label just for funtimes lyrics and this shows him producing with classic EXIT crispness and starkness in the 85bpm/170bpm slowfast' zone. On Restless Leg Syndrome' and two collaborations with Fixate, he makes footworking jitter sound more English than anyone previously - thanks partly to virtuouso UK/Jamaican voice cut-ups - but it's Haymaker' that's the obvious showstopper, being essentially a dubwise remake of Schooly D's immortal PSK' with morphing bass, electrocution buzz and and rich rave pads.

Whether it's from a set played on the notorious Ibiza waterfront, or amongst a packed out, dimly lit stage in super club Fabric, you'll instantly recognise these refined cuts premiered over the last six months. The Original Version first appeared on Tenor's debut album Sähkömies on Sähkö Recordings in 1994. Two other previously unreleased versions were recently found on the original session tape. Sun Ra cover Travellin Dem Spaceways was recorded in the same night too.

Ganze drei Jahre hat es gedauert. Drei Jahre, in denen nicht ganz sicher war, ob überhaupt noch mal ein neues Album von Mono & Nikitaman erscheinen würde. Aber jetzt ist 2015 und damit klar: Ja, Mono & Nikitaman haben eine neue Platte gemacht. Sie trägt den Titel "Im Rauch der Bengalen" und ist das bisher beste Album der beiden.

"Wir haben uns durch unseren unbändigen Freiheitsdrang in den letzten Jahren etwas aufgebaut, aber sind irgendwann an einen Punkt gekommen, an dem wir uns durch unseren eigenen Perfektionismus und die Erwartungshaltung der anderen alles andere als frei gefühlt haben", blicken M&N zurück. Die logische Konsequenz: Eine Auszeit von der Musik. Zuerst denken die beiden erst mal gar nicht mehr ans Texte schreiben oder Lieder machen - aber schon ein Jahr später stehen sie wieder gemeinsam im Studio, produzieren drauflos und schreiben gemeinsam erste Texte.

Beautifully Designed 1LP, 180g Vinyl Just waking up and everything sounding slower. Holes in the wall. The unknown in the familiar. The shock of the new. Just-turned rubble. Thick clouds of recall. Muted high-life, de-centered hip-hop, and disparate conversation. Heavy, sinking jazz and dissected infomercials. Too much chewing gum Not quite anything, or half of something. Reminds me of. Smells like... Turkson Side is Africanus Okokon's first album. It is almost entirely sample-based, made largely within a simple, custom-made playback software with each track recorded in one take with very little editing. Wrake' is the only exception, a recording of him playing an Ethopian krar inside his house. Africanus is no stranger to the label. Primarily a visual artist with background in video, animation, and collage, he's designed most of Other People's recent site graphics and a number of release covers. In part, this album as Okokon is a translation of a developed aesthetic to an unfamiliar medium. Like his collage and animation work , it's rough-hewn yet deliberate, consciously inclusive of digital processing and sampling artifacts for their unique texture and visceral affect. Throw the means aside, though, and what you've got is an evocative collection of craggy, trance-inducing concréte-poetry that act equally well as soundscapes for late-night or early-morning. Asphalt' starts things, a near-fifteen-minute multi-movement' (if you will) piece that moves through zones of blasted commercial intro FX, alien telecast High-Life, gibberish spoken word, and xylophonic skeleton dance march music, lingering at every interstice. Shorter, more singular pieces follow, each swathing and detailing a particular rhythmic structure with choice loops: the detritus of film soundtracks, warped conversation, gain-pumped jazz-shuffles, and old, mystic drum tapes that glitch and squeeze through the software's un-sanded synapses.

Peace, Love & Music is the result of Swindle's experiences touring globally over the past two years. Constantly meeting other talented musicians and seeing new places helped naturally form an album that brings together friends and family from across the world together for the first time. We visit four continents along the way, toasting the Grime roots in London with JME, saluting Swindle's love and respect for Glasgow and Mungo's Hifi alongside Flowdan and stopping in Bristol for an uptempo work out with TC, and a 16 bit intro from Joker. LA is close to Swindle's heart as he lived there for two months in 2014 meeting and making music with Ash Riser. The infamous Sub.Mission party in Denver is featured in the track of the same name with music dedicated to the people who have made it a home away from home for Swindle. His connections in the Far East are strongly represented via Tokyo and the DBS crew, The Philippines with Malasimbo and the Electric East crew in Shanghai. We still have time to visit Cape Town and link up with the Guerrilla Speakerz crew in Amsterdam before heading home to finish off with his Swindle Live family: Terri Walker, Joel Culpepper, Jay Wilcox and his Dad, who plays guitar on the Outro. It also serves as a homecoming of sorts for Swindle back on Butterz, the label he has been part of since it's inception in 2010. Today they hold a prestigious Fabric club residency in London, and are one of the premier brands in UK underground music. Peace, Love & Music is the first LP to be released on Butterz, a landmark release for them. Musically he continues on the jazzy path that his records on Brownswood and Deep Medi put him on the map for, but expands on the live instrumentation, the tempos and the breath of talent featured. Swindle has brought together as many people as possible that share the same ethos, and that is spreading a positive message through music.

Following from the sounds of soul and jungle, chapter three of the 'Fast Music' series dives into the deeper levels of drum & bass. 'Fast Warehouse Music' draws forty-six tracks from the Hospital Records back-catalogue that rewind the clock to the days of the warehouse raves, swamping concrete jungles with all-surrounding subs from unforgiving sound-systems.

After their smash 'Victory', a UK riddim voiced by JA artists, Dubkasm have switched things up, putting homegrown stars YT and Rudey Lee on a classic yard riddim. One Man One Vote, Dubkasm's only relick, is a 90s classic made famous by Dennis Brown's 'No More Walls', Shabba's criminally underrated 'Build Bridges Instead', and Dubkasm's 2014 update, Solo Banton's 'Can't Stop This'. Ipswich's finest YT delivers the energetic and conscious cut 'Higher Meds', complete with sax-drenched dub, the B-side is sweet-voiced Bristolian (and Smith and Mighty veteran) Rudey Lee's soulful, righteous 'Coming in Ruff'. Freshly played with no samples and mastered on 1/2" tape at Stardelta, the dubplate has already gone global, mashing up dances and getting instant rewinds all over the world.

Madteo (aka Matteo Ruzzon) creates music whose understatement is overwhelmingly compelling. An Italian native who moved to New York City in the early '90s, Madteo has forged a production style that casts techno, house, and hip-hop in a gritty, stripped-down subterranean murk. His keen ear for unusual tonalities and his inventive tweaking of rhythmic tropes lend his music a functionality that feels anything but perfunctory. On the Strumpetrocracy EP, Madteo constructs a distinctive sound world that throws a very strange light on dance music. "Laissez-Faire Couture" instantly transports you to bizarre realms: Its off-kilter, midtempo funky beats haloed in swirling, celestial synth drones and angelic female swoons glow in stark contrast with strident Roland 303 twangs and unsettling, growling bass frequencies. It's as if a romantic tryst were happening in an alternate-world auto factory. Hazily reminiscent of illbient and abstract trip-hop, "Laissez-Faire Couture" is an oblong oddity that exists in its own unique sphere. "Mr. Gecko" is a steely-eyed shuffle with corrugated, slate-gray synth vapor arcing in the distance and a loop of someone saying the title in a tremulous voice. It's so evocative, you want to base a crime-thriller movie around it. The EP's most club-friendly cut, "We Doubt (You Can Make It)" threads a male vocalist singing a paradoxically bold mantra—"I just can't make it"—over a broken tech-house rhythm that's both jaunty and heavy, bolstered by a sooty, strutting bass line. DJ Sotofett's Radio Mix of "We Doubt" adds an urgent blaxploitation-flick bass line and a more festive tempo and wildly fluttering flute and warped percussion accompaniment. Dresvn offers a chilled dub version of "We Doubt" that bumps along with weirdly timbred percussion (think horse hooves on a cobblestone road) and an eerie, shivering drone in the background that sounds like the intro to Todd Rundgren's "International Feel." All of these variations twist a venerable genre into unorthodox shapes and highlight Madteo's thrillingly eccentric musical vision. Nordic ice meets Spanish fire in the latest offering from Fine Grains Records collaboration series. 'Blåis' is a split EP featuring Norwegian skweee boss Beatbully and Barcelona-based machine funk don Fitzroy North. The release is complete with three distinct remixes by young Scottish grime producer Inkke, synthetic funk master Joe Howe (fka Ben Butler & Mousepad) and one of the finest contemporary beats producers this side of the Atlantic, Mwëslee. The artwork comes from Norwegian graphic artist Halvor Bodin. 'Blåis', one of over 100 Nordic words for snow and ice, occurs when snow falls on a glacier, is compressed, and becomes part of the glacier. Over the course of 8 tracks, Beatbully & Fitzroy North squeeze the maximum from their respective MPC & synth setups to deliver an unpretentious and fun mix of synthetic funk with a punch. Moments of minimality, sweet harmonies, bleeps, squeaks and bass are compressed into a gleaming crystallised form.

As the needle drops, a haunting overdriven voice cries out from a cavern of distorted marimba pulses. 'People sell them souls for a slice of bread...' A stark statement of realness, conviction, and the choices we all make. This is sound system music for the citizens of the world, welcoming the struggle and darkness that unites.

With 'To The End' E3 creates a meditative musical darkness enveloped fully in the spiritual warmth of syncopated sub bass, rolling watery hi-hats, chopped vocals that sing like a call to prayer amidst powerful throws to the dub siren.

Channeling the DIY spirit of both Jamaican sound system culture and American punk rock, our man E3 aka Ezra E Ereckson is a long time staple of West Coast sound system music. Based in Portland, Oregon together with his wife, artist and designer Tracy Harrison (Polygon Press), they run the renowned ZamZam Sounds, a vinyl only label releasing exquisite DUB music from across the world, packaged in stunning hand-printed jackets. A long-time DJ, producer and vocalist, E3 distills his talents and vision into this breakout solo release for Boomarm Nation. Known for his string of ZamZam Sounds releases alongside partner Alter Echo - particular after last year's 'Nubian Dub' / 'Warning Dub' 7' became a sought-after underground hit - E3 has lately been making moves with solo remixes of artists as diverse as Ishan Sound and Peter Broderick.

The Binary Collective is dBridge, Kid Drama, Consequence & Joe Seven. The project was conceived in one studio, the Exit Records hub that's known as Rosie's Box.The album was written on hardware as opposed to software; a purposeful manipulation of machines. The creation process was a series of live 'jams' that pushed the machines as far as they could go in order illustrate the narrative that collective had in mind; a time where corporations control all our personal information.The album becomes a soundtrack for a future that we find ourselves hurtling towards whilst we are distracted by so called modern world entertainment, It's timely message by The Binary Collective.

* Shogun's explosive start to the year continues with the arrival of more heavy artillery from Joe Ford. Having hoodwinked us all several months ago with the leftfield sounds of 'Off Centre', here he comes full circle with an array of drum & bass designed to hit us wear it hurts.

* Joe explains, 'the goal of this new EP was to play a little bit with the normal limitations that I set myself, keep the tunes at 172bpm but switch up the rhythms and layout of the sounds so that this piece of work would stand out from the from others.'

* Like a call to arms, Joe kicks off with the militant sounds of 'All Of Us', a track that sees him pushing the levels to the extreme with its manic riff of pitched up drums pushing ferociously through the mix. Impossible to forget this one in a hurry.

* 'Snares' opens with a definite air of 80's melancholy that lulls us before an absolutely heinous drop that sees Joe drawing on his metal sensibilities for an outrageous slice of drum and bass.

Peau froide, lèger soleil, is the result of a three year recording process, initiated by Mika Vainio and Frank Vigroux after a series of shared live experiences. Sprawling after a show in Paris in 2012, their collaboration is an exercise in sensitive intensity, drifting the whole space between minimalist meditations and maximalist kinetics. Vainio's signature brutalist production resonates all throughout the record, constructing a psychic scenario for Vigroux's researches in spatial abstraction and tonal radicalism.Densely built though free-from structural limitation, this album is an intense 9track motion, serving as the third installment in Cosmo Rhythmatic's catalog and acting as new chapter in the label's construction an uncompromising sonic identity.

A unique synthesis of time-dilating folk-jazz romanticism, brittle chamber dub and plasmic post-techno electronics, Tarquin Magnet is Australian artist Tarquin Manek's first full solo release on Blackest Ever Black, but by no means his first contribution to the label: he is one half of Tarcar (with Carla dal Forno) and a member of F ingers (with dal Forno and Sam Karmel), while his track 'Not Missing You' features on the BEB compilation I Can't Give You The Life You Want. Manek has been busy elsewhere, too: he released Th Duo, an LP made under his LST alias, on Another Dark Age earlier this year. The disturbed and enchanted environments of Tarquin Magnet are the result of improvisation, domestic field recording and fastidious editing; for all its rough textures and strange juxtapositions, this is masterfully mixed and arranged music, its deep spatial dynamics and higher dub logic powerfully apparent.

Tamed Monsters EP is an inaugural release of the new record label Pandora. New imprint will focus on ambient sounds, music for home-listening and unique artwork. 3024 is reissuing Martyn's 2009 collaboration with Hyperdub poet The Spaceape, who passed away last October. 'Is This Insanity' comes from Martyn's debut album Great Lengths and was his first collaboration with The Spaceape. The vinyl also features the previously unreleased track 'Camberwell Green' and the highly sought after remix of 'Is This Insanity' by Germany's techno don Ben Klock!

It is certainly not a small feat to have an ambient compilation series running for over a decade and keep it fresh and interesting - especially when the core aesthetic idea is as well-defined as POP AMBIENT's. However, this didn't keep last year's instalment (KOMPAKT 315 CD 120) from finding a compelling balance between veteran contributors like JENS-UWE BEYER or LEANDRO FRESCO and new, idiosyncratic voices like MAX WÜRDEN or THORE PFEIFFER. They all return for POP AMBIENT 2016, joining a captivating cast that also includes heavy-weight soundsmiths, experimental composers and ambient confidants like THE ORB, ANTON KUBIKOV of SCSI-9 fame, MIKKEL METAL, GREGOR SCHWELLENBACH or STEPHAN MATHIEU.

Starting off with a surprise guest, POP AMBIENT 2016 presents electroacoustic composer and installation artist STEPHAN MATHIEU, whose highly textured opening drone APRIL IM OKTOBER bears all the hallmarks of a pop ambient classic, stealthily weaving in layers of sound and moving fluidly between territories. The man clearly knows what he's doing - after all, he has worked with luminaries like Taylor Dupree, Ekkehard Ehlers, Janek Schaefer or Sylvain Chauveau (see also Pop Ambient 2009). Meanwhile, THE ORB show off the full extent of their experience in the field and have their own little ambient collage opera going on in ALPINE DAWN - a slight detour from their beat-laden full-length MOONBUILDING 2703 AD (KOMPAKT 330 CD 124), but just on that same level of masterful sonic dexterity.

Moving forward, SCSI-9's ANTON KUBIKOV builds momentum with a sweet melody slowly evolving to the atmospheric backdrop of a light synth rain, while MAX WÜRDEN imagines a dreamy, yet twisted underwater world with lots of space to get lost in. He later returns for a collaboration with THORE PFEIFFER (not on vinyl), the other newcomer hero from Pop Ambient 2015, and the result is a fascinating amalgamation of both producer's distinct sonic sensibilities - the grittier, drone-based approach from Würden and Pfeiffer's penchant for roaming samples and skewed loops. Another dedicated collab comes from SICKER MAN & GREGOR SCHWELLENBACH who team up for string-infused, cinematic epic TURNS.

Longstanding Kompakt ally MIKKEL METAL presents the surging TITAN, followed by LEANDRO FRESCO's magistral rework of DAVE DK's VEIRA from his VAL MAIRA album (KOMPAKT 326 CD 121). A very special bonus adventure can be found in THORE PFEIFFER's "megamix" of WOLFGANG VOIGT's RÜCKVERZAUBERUNG (not on vinyl) - an entire concept series succesfully reimagined as one sweeping cut. Wilde Calm Records is honored to present new work from the late Elodie Lauten, New York City composer and recipient of the 2014 Robert Rauschenberg Award. Lauten had been exploring microtonality and alternative temperament since working on a Fairlight CMI synthesizer in the early 1980s and up until her untimely death, had been continuing these explorations with the Klio, her custom modular Reaktor software synthesizer.

Many Wilde Calm fans will be familiar with Lauten's music from her numerous collaborations with fellow downtown luminary Arthur Russell. Lauten and Russell met through their mutual poet friend Allen Ginsberg and shared a similar sensibility of musical openness and possibility as evident in their spiritual club classic 'In the Light of the Miracle' and Russell's appearance on Lauten's seminal post- minimalist masterwork The Death of Don Juan.

Five remastered selections from her most recent album Transform feature on the EP in addition to a Wilde Calm remix. For fans of Laurie Spiegel and Suzanne Ciani, Lauten's synth explorations are essential.

Last year's Dubkasm Meets Solo Banton 7' triple pack was a worldwide hit, packed with lyrical vibes and immense production that paid respect to the boombastic 90's digi-roots style of labels such as Xterminator and Two Friends. Powered by the breakout 'My Music,' alongside Bristol grime MC Buggsy, the awesome set was missing only two things - crucial dubs of My Music itself, and the equally wicked 'Never Let I Down.'

ZamZam had already been in conversation with Dubkasm about working together, when the label's selector E3 realized that in recent sets he'd been following My Music with an Xterminator B-side only because there was no My Music dub available... yet. Tracy/Polygon Press forwarded the idea of a "double dub." Both crews were immediately thrilled with the prospect of crowning the original My Music set with two mighty versions that also stand alone brilliantly.

"My Music (Version)" opens with a heavy piano lead and rock-hard riddim. Sparks fly from flint & steel hi hat, an addictive, powerhouse bassline, and Solo Banton & Buggsy floating in and out of dubspace. Banton's voice bursts forth again, with declarations of faith

in 'Crowned In Dub,' the version to 'Never Let I Down.' The tune rocks with another serious bassline and neck-snapping riddim, but is perhaps most defined by the unforgettable percussive steel pan melody, keeping the warm Caribbean roots alive in a dark, cavernous hall of reverb and echo.

* 'After a lot of hard work and long days and nights in the studio, I am very proud to present my debut album 'Obsolete Medium'. Being honest, I was struggling for the last few years by trying to write a certain type of music that I thought people were expecting of me, and consequently not making much progress. I took a conscious decision to let the tunes develop organically and not try to force their direction. What resulted is a very naturally constructed collection of music reflecting my wide range of influences - punk drum fills, techno basses, dusty white noise and neon synths - whilst not heavily mirroring anything too obviously specific, and eschewing many of the cliches of modern dance music production. All the while, not taking the process too seriously and not being afraid to poke fun at myself and the traps of being an electronic music producer. I'm really happy to have a some of my friends on here with me including Breakage, Sam Binga, Hyrogliphics and long time sparring partner Phace. Shouts to you guys. I think that if you have found anything in my production, from the early days of 'Stowaway Dub' to 'Childhood Memories' to more recent tunes like 'Detroit', there should be something on the LP that will strike a chord with you.

Nite-Glo is the new offering from Stellar OM Source, the outré-minded music venture of Christelle Gauldi. Tempering the freneticism unleashed on Stellar OM Source's 2013 album Joy One Mile, Nite-Glo guides Gauldi's rhythms to unexpected places of emotive and meditative power. The four tracks of Nite-Glo were written during a transient time for Gauldi. Loss and processing the associated emotions informed those moments in which Gualdi could escape to her mobile studio set up. Recorded solely with her live hardware, Nite-Glo tears down any ornamental tapestry to uncover a core of luminescent synths, glowing 303 lines, and a burning awareness. Nite-Glo continues an off-script musical journey informed by Gualdi's formal training in electro-acoustic composition at the Conservatoire de Paris and an ascent from the DIY synth scene of the mid-aughts to a global dancefloor. Rewarding listeners keen on conscious listening, the passages of Nite-Glo crystalize as tracks unfurl and sequences reveal an absolute power over time. Transcending its cathartic context, Nite-Glo finds Christelle Gauldi abstracting the ebullience of Stellar OM Source's sound in favor of remote spaces and roiling tempos. A snapshot of Gualdi's personal and creative transition, Nite-Glo beams through a mournful context, visible only as eyes have adjusted in the shadows.

Through dense layers of noise, brittle beats, found sounds and a general haze, Francis Harris returns to his own Scissor and Thread imprint, with the aid of frequent collaborator, and longtime friend, guitarist Gabe Hedrick, under the guise Aris Kindt. Following Harris' 2014 sophomore solo album, Minutes of Sleep,' (named Electronic Album of the Year by Mojo Magazine,) the duo's quintessential album debut, Floods,' takes as its focus, the late author W.G. Sebald's profound interpretation of Rembrandt's 1632 master work, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. Floods' is a sonic journey into the heart of the body, a bold rejuvenation of Adriaan Adriaanszoon (Aris Kindt), once a mere cadaver on a cold metal slab, now a living breathing human at the heart of a creative shift in vantage point from object to active subject. Much in the same way Rembrandt intended with the painting itself, Floods' attempts to subvert the listeners memory of a moment. Written within a span of over a year using an 808, a modular eurorack and two guitars, Floods' was mixed at Keyclub Recording Company in late August with Engineer Bill Skibbe. The album charts new territory for both Harris and Hedrick, melding a long history with electronic music and youthful love for indie noise, weaving in and out of near silence and sheering walls of sound with a gentle and constant heartbeat at its core. The dream-like murk of album opener Now Grey' sets the tone with thick pads, distant, ghostly guitar work and fragmented drums. On the title track, dubby chords set the tone, as subdued toms amble forward, with a crackling of fire nearby, as a dense sounds echo and swirl around into a climactic frenzy. Blue Sky Shoes' hypnotizes with its submerged strings and subaquatic patterning, as synths rain down like streaks breaking the surface.

And so we present the first solo music adventures from Fis. A Wellington, New Zealand native bred on a healthy diet of musical discovery and deep research into the deconstruction of rhythmic templates. His music has created it's own universe rumbling just outside any genre it comes close to. After passing a CD early in his musical development to Presha in the Samurai Record Store, Fis has gone on to develop a style that has caught the ear of names like dBridge, ASC, Synkro, Consequence, Loxy, Indigo, Ulrich Schnauss and Resident Advisor. RA were so dazzled by what they heard in an introductory mix from Fis on dBridge's Rinse FM Show they sought him out and featured him in a 'Breaking Through' article -. This piece
served as a powerful warning to the world of what was on the horizon, and could very well be the only interview with Fisfor some time. The first musical release from Fis came via 2 collaborations with New Zealand's Tokyo Prose on the first ever Samurai Horo 10" (Samurai Horo001) but this will be his first solo release. We are very proud to present this, the 'Duckdive' EP as a considered introduction to a world that needs another true artist with an unconventional and totally individual approach. We will leave the adjective adventures to the professional wordsmiths, it's obvious this music is furtive ground for lengthy discussion which we look forward to as the rest of the world discovers these magical creations. Teenage Jesus and the Jerks began to formulate their visionary brand of aural catharsis sometime during the first half of 1977, amidst the sordid ruins of a then fully down-and-out Lower Manhattan. The mastermind behind this juggernaut of sonic libertinage was a barely pubescent but world-weary runaway who called herself Lydia Lunch. Influenced strongly by the Marquis de Sade and Henry Miller, Lunch shrewdly decided to graft the existential horror of her own writing onto harsh, atonal music after being exposed to the room-clearing live output of other contemporary rock-music deconstructionists like Suicide and Mars. With an agenda of conjuring nightmarish intensity in lieu of technical instrumental ability, Teenage Jesus instantly made the supposedly nihilistic' and raw' current wave of so-called Punk acts sound like slick, good-timey pop music by comparison. Teenage Jesus and the Jerks were The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, lisa, She Wolf of the SS, and Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom, transliterated into a blatant mockery of the increasingly tired, basic rock-band format. Posthumously, there have been numerous reissues of the primary Teenage Jesus corpus, namely the first side of the Lydia Lunch double compilation album Hysterie (CD Presents, 1986), a very incomplete anthology titled Everything (Atavistic, 1995) and Shut Up and Bleed (Cherry Red/Atavistic, 2008), which also featured Beirut Slump tracks. These less-than-fastidious documents contained reverb-laden transcriptions of the studio cuts directly from vinyl copies, as well as random live tracks of mediocre fidelity. This particular collection about to be released on Other-People is meticulously edited and mastered from rare bootlegs taped during the initial 1977-1979 period of classic band, and only one title (Crown of Thorns from January 17,1979) has been legitimately released to date, albeit in a completely different sound quality.

'B-Sides is a very special album for me, it compiles a beautiful period on my life with great memories, moments and feelings. The album is deeply influenced by the magnificence of Llançà and Cadaqués, two small villages from La Costa Brava where I spent long periods during the creation of this record. It's an easy way to get inspired between the middle ground of nature and wild spots - surrounded by the sea, sun and mountains.
My girlfriend showed me some nice places there and i quickly felt a spiritual and mystic connection with those parages. She has a very important role on this album, for example a track like "They Came From The Past" is dedicated to her. Pablie was my alter ego and more focused on my love for abstract/instrumental hip-hop, downtempo and folk. I think the LP reflects a kind of a hypnotic and lonely vibe, it's like a secret place inside your memories and dreams, something that you don't want to let go.'

Samaris Release "Silkidrangar Sessions" ist ein Nachfolger und Begleiter des letztjährigfen Albumdebüts "Silkidrangar" und beinhaltet überarbeitete Versionen des Originals, welche nun exakt ein Jahr später veröffentlicht werden. Samaris vereinen sehr ungleiche Elemente in ihrer Musik, die von elektronischen Sounds, über Klarinette bis hin zu Jófríður Ákadóttirs bezaubernder Stimme reichen. Samaris mischen kalte Elektronik mit gewagten, perkussiven Beats und eindringlichen Vocals, welche isländischen Gedichten des 19. Jahrhunderts entnommen wurden. Einen Großteil des letzten Jahres verbrachte die Band auf Tour und spielte Festivals wie Roskilde, Green Man, Reeperbahn, Longitude, etc. Die "Silkidrangar Sessions" wurden über zwei Tage in Reykjavík aufgenommen, und es wurden diverse Gastmusiker eingeladen, welche Instrumente wie Tabla Drums, Cello, Saxophon oder modulare Synthesizer einbrachten.

Dritter und letzter Teil der "CARGAA" EP-Trilogie auf Warp, die der Underground-Grime-Szene von Lissabon gewidmet ist, wo junge Produzenten polyrhythmische Inspiration aus der Afro-Diaspora zu einer elektronischen Clubmusik-Mutation verarbeiten. 'Opal Flash', which includes a blistering Steve Hillage guitar solo, and System 7's remix of Rovo's 'Batis' showcase the side of System 7 that finds big success at major trance festivals such as Ozora and Boom.
