Camberley based producer Vital Elements teams up with Turbo Promotions head honcho Ruffride, to roll out two slices of heavy jump up Drum and Bass. 'Dizzle' and 'Invasion' are really well produced and as ever the mix downs are fat. I've heard this riddim out on a system and it got instantly rewound.

This new single features two of the most upfront tracks from King Midas Sound's forthcoming album project 'Without You', featuring re-voiced and re-versioned mutations of their debut album 'Waiting For You'. Side A is a mix of 'Goodbye Girl' by Kuedo aka former Vex'd producer Jamie Teasdale, who drags the original's domestic melodrama through a fatigued waltz of droning synths and stumbling drums. Side AA carries a radical new take on 'Earth A Kill Ya' by Mala from Digital Mystikz. He smothers Kiki's voice and dubs out Roger's lyrics to their most dread components, leaving strands of the original song lost at sea in sub bass and drowning in toxic chords and dusty reverbed drum blasts.

Mark E's 'Call Me' finally gets released via MERC this September. Ever since its appearance on the Mark E Beats In Space Mix nearly a year ago it has remained a must have track and appeared in Faith's top 10 tracks of 2010 without seeing the light of day. Staying true to an original " House " aesthetic, Call Me merges a relentless bass line with soaring strings and an Organ build De'lacy would be proud of, combined with a spoken female vocal this is destined to be a future classic.

Hotflush Recordings presents the first new Scuba single since 2010's landmark album, Triangulation. Since that release Scuba has concentrated more squarely on deep, epic house and techno via the SCB project, most notably with Loss released earlier this year on Aus Music. That focus extends itself to the lead track of this release, Adrenalin, which must be the most unashamedly dancefloor Scuba track to date, while b-sides Never and Everywhere take the well-documented fascination with melody that pervaded previous Scuba material to a new level.

Spearhead have had a great year so far and this next release just goes to show that label manager BCee is still on top of the game. Friction and K-Tee jump on the buttons to remix BCee and S.P.Y's 'Is Anybody Out There' to maximum effect. Kicking off with old skool style rave stabs and some familiar sampling action, you might be forgiven for thinking that you've take the rave DeLorean for a spin and wound up back in '89. That is, until the drop when the searing bassline kicks in and catapults you back to the future with a sub that has the potential to cause chest implosions from a mile away. Inofaith searches carefully for his own sound, and takes on the experiment with his debut 12. This EP features the tracks 'Dawn Is Late': a very orchestral, deep piece with a very welcome 2-Step kind of beat. It follows up with 'Girls Go To Bed Early': which illuminates a more synthetic depth of the release. The subtle resonance on the synths brings the track alive. The other side of the record starts with the enchanting, yet uplifting 'Twelve Hours'. You realise you are getting caught in the music when the feminine voice kicks in and lets you drift in circular patterns. The final track is called 'Nocturne': calm as the title may seem, it's the most energetic and glowing track of the EP. Inspired by the atmosphere of dusk on a spring evening, it closes the EP with some cinematic movements. First run pressed on coloured vinyl, limited to 200 copies.
