7th Storey Projects is immensely honoured to present a new, limited edition collaboration EP from two Dutch masters, FFF & Coco Bryce - Double Dragon EP.
FFF (Myor Massiv, Criterion Records, Diamond Life) needs no introduction as he has been blazing a trail on the jungle and breakcore scene for nearly 20 years now - so we are truly honoured to add him to our roster of talent. Here he contributes both tracks to the A side of the EP, the dark, amenistic roller 'The Return', and the epic 'Krisp Biscuit'.
The B side sees a welcome return to 7th Storey Projects for Myor Massiv head honcho, Coco Bryce. After the success of his limited 10" press - Raid/JBB on the label earlier this year - here he teams up with FFF for their first true collaborative, co-produced track to see vinyl - 'Double Dragon'. One word sums this track up - DARK! Full of horror film samples, butchers block beats and menancing hoovers! The EP is rounded up with Coco Bryce's solo track 'The Mother Goddess', a tune which has been doing the rounds on dubplate for a while and built up a firm favourite status with those that know!

Not just a solo affair, the duo have enlisted the help of a league of talented vocalists to help bring their vision to life, with contributions from Tiffani Juno, Rocky Nti, Charlotte Haining, Linguistics and long-time collaborator Grimm amongst many others.
* Due for release on their own imprint Hybrid Music, the first 3 singles from the project, released throughout 2016 have gathered millions of plays online and have ensured them a busy summer playing shows and festivals all over the UK, Europe and beyond.
* "We're very excited to bring to you our second album Elements'. We've been working hard for the last 3 years trying to perfect it in every aspect, we hope that the time & effort has paid off and we cannot wait for everyone to finally hear it.
We'd like to thank everyone who has worked on the project with us, they did a fantastic job & without them this would not be the same. There was so much talent involved and it really was an honour to work alongside such a diverse & talented bunch of people. We hope you enjoy this album as much as we enjoyed making it!" Matt & Josh

Having previously released on the Metalheadz main label as well as Platinum and METHXX, SB81 completes a full sweep by appearing on Razors Edge with his much sought after remix of J Majik's classic - 'Your Sound'.
On the AA side is another SB81 remix, but this time it's a remix of one of his own tracks as 'Blueprints' gets the rollout treatment.
A stellar addition to the Razors Edge catalogue.

* In 1993 Basement Records was still issuing the classic 4/4 tunes but in the studio working on the new sound of Drum n Bass. In this newly formed studio operating in the Basement Records / Vinyl Distribution building and run by Roger Johnson as the in house engineer a series of early Drum n Bass releases were produced. To release the tunes being made in late 93' The Street Beats label was formed in early 1994. The first releases were a series of LTD Edition 10" singles of early works by artists such as RJ himself plus Peshay, Paul Z & The Truper.
* In 1994 I received a Promo through the post from Entity Records featuring the System Ex - Mindgames E.P, I loved the track and wanted to know who the artist was so I rang Ray Keith at Blackmarket Records to see if he could shed any light. Ray told me this was the new artist he had been telling me about when we last spoke, that artist was Rupert Parkes now known as Photek.
* I rang Rupert to introduce myself and invited him down to Reading to meet me, which he was more than happy to do as he was well aware of what we were doing at Basement Records and Vinyl Distribution.
At the meeting I stated how much I loved the EP and his releases on Cert 18 but at the same time felt the production sound could be improved. Rupert told me about his home studio and its limitations, so I asked him how much money he needed to get the studio to the level he wanted and then advanced him the money to upgrade his studio. The next batch of tunes that were then made were all released on the Street Beats label.
* When Rupert sent in the 2nd batch of tunes I was blown away with them and wanted to release these tunes with an artist name, so I took the T from the end of his name and placed it in front and the 'Truper' was born. The idea of the name was he was marching forward with the DnB sound. These three EP's were all released as limited editions and as the years have passed, all three have become holy grail's for all the collectors of early DnB and rightly so.
This relationship was to grow and grow over the following years with six releases under his 'The Sentinel' pseudoname on Basement Records and the distribution deal which led to the launch of Ruperts' 'Photek' alias and label, which have cemented his reputation as one of the great Drum N Bass producers of all time. * A genius in the studio and a wonderful person to know and work with with over many years. So now Basement Records proudly presents the reissue of these stunning six tracks pressed on 12"singles and accompanied by a CD which also features the six outstanding 'Sentinel' tracks that were released on parent label Basement Records, for you to all enjoy.......Basement Phil / Basement Records 2015

* Dom & Roland's Label has gone from strength to strength from its conception in 2006. Featuring collaborations by Dom with other Artists such as Noisia, Hive and Amon Tobin the label has continued to push sonic boundaries whilst staying true to it's ethos of 'not selling out'. It is currently in A ' Dubs from the Dungeons' Phase releasing sought after unreleased music from the 90's from various accomplished artists every month on limited edition gold vinyl.
* INVASION - DOM & ROLAND
Dom was once asked by Nico of No-U-Turn to do a remix of Ed-rush's Mothership. Dom set to work, he had already smoked a lot of spliffs that day, and the tune took a turn towards the sci-fi film Dom had just been watching before he started. At the end of the session, Dom realized he'd forgotten to use any of Ed-rush's sounds, so he decided he'd keep the just finished track for himself, as it had turned out alright! As he'd already written 'Mothership Remix' on the DAT tape and promptly lost the sharpie he wrote it with...The name stuck, until now, 20 years later, when it was decided it should be named 'Invasion' instead.
*REVENGE - DOM & ROLAND
Originally made to be a DJ tool for several of the blue note DJ's including Doc Scott and Peshay. This 'quite mellow for Dom' roller became an often played fixture of the Hoxton Square club.
Dom felt the switching bassline from clean to distorted as well as being the pinnacle of dopeness echo'd how his then girlfriend would 'switch' at him for spending endless days and nights in the studio.
Revenge was another tune lost, until several years ago, when a bunch of Dom's old DAT's turned up in a box under his mate's stairs, alongside an N64, 4 controllers and a copy of 'Goldeneye'.

* Lady Flava is one of Drum & Basses best kept secrets. Long standing resident and pillar of the legendary Rude FM, Flava has been a pioneering force behind the decks for the last couple of decades with her un-compromising style of what she describes as 'Correct DNB' - something I'm not going to argue with, that's for sure.
* In recent years she has turned her attentions to production utilising her skills for deep and dark sounds and rhythms.
For this project she has teamed up with none other than Ipswich's greatest Jungle legend Steve Digital and the outcome is deadly.
* We welcome this gruesome twosome to the fold and urge you to approach with caution, for this is dirty drum & bass, very dirty.
* Cained on plate by Digital, Spirit, Randall, Klute and many more.

* Horizons' back catalogue is one of the most definitive across the full spectrum of drum & bass, bringing together records which have graced sets throughout its formative decades. Well known for their collection of ground breaking artists, their next release features a duo whose music stands the test of time and who remain pillars drum & bass's techier sounds. Unknown Error's hefty offerings on the likes of Lifted Music and Renegade Hardware still do damage in clubs today, but it's their daintier delivery on Horizons which is seeing this vinyl release remastered for 2017.
* With jagged-edge breaks, 'Yearning' explores the idea of liquid which still manages to aurally bite its listener. The track is yet to weather, toeing the line between the euphoric undertones of a late-night roller and the hard-hitting sounds of their Renegade and Lifted days. With deep, moody dancefloor feeling and cutting edge sound design, Unknown Error know how to sonically manipulate their music, presenting a perfect juxtaposition of dark and light. They make an impact without overstating their presence, a skill which takes years to refine. The experience Unknown Error wield together has helped them to remain an important part of drum & bass today
* 'Midnight Special' pushes the same stringent standards, with a sensibility that shines through each segment. It's the type of record which Horizons has pedestalled from the beginning, helping them to become a leader within their field. With jazzy, groove ridden undertones and calling synths, distorted vocal falls amongst its layers like a spectre. Tinny drums help bolster the composition, maintaining its heavier flow. Once again platforming the same ingenious juxtaposition, Unknown Error prove that over ten years on, their records remain timeless.
* Horizons Music are still releasing tracks of the same calibre but as they approach 100th release, it's a nod to their background and how they're able continue the same standard, paying homage to their roots and giving back to fans who've stayed with them from the beginning.

Rene LaVice is well endowed when it comes to the arts, whether it's visual media or music production. And his next anticipated release on the renowned RAM Records imprint epitomises his talent. Having taken different elements from a vast soundscape and technically moulded his vision, each track proves his eye for detail and infinite capabilities.
Featuring the vocal talents of Ivy Mairi, 'The Calling' sets a precedent. This record not only appeals to you in an auditory sense, but it also conjures emotionally-lead visions of cinematic proportions. The building blocks of a heart wrenching yet not uncommon story begin to unfold. Lyrics begin to form an image in your mind; of two lovers hitting a fork in their relationship, taking different paths to fulfil different destinies. A delicate, voice propelled ballad pushed forward by an undertow of pounding bass, it definitely doesn't lack substance.
Up next, and flipping the release on its head, is 'Freudian'. With a darkly progressive intro that instantly commands your attention, this headsyriddim is gritty, growling and baring its teeth. As we drive deeper into the mix, the pitch is elevated sharply and the composition is diced up to leave you unnerved. A manufacturing line of stamping drum patterns and raw bass, it illuminates Rene's driving force.
The latter half of the EP offers something from a completely different territory, including 'The Calling's first remix from Jason Burns. Similarly executing the vocals against a sonically expressive backdrop, the gears are lowered and the tempo's slowed. It's one of two remodels, and it doesn't lack the same appeal of its predecessors.
And wrapping up these masterful cuts is another double take of 'The Calling'. Yet again highlighting the tune's structural depth, the mysterious house-maker Mo Clapz underpins the melody with pounding bass. The track's humanism floats between breaks, whilst steel percussion gives it an edge absent from its counterparts. An endless web of composition, the track listing provides a diverse backdrop for the whole EP.
So, here's the reintroduction you've been waiting for. With timeless production value, this release is yet again a testament for what's to come...with 2015 looking to become another monstrous year for Rene LaVice.

7th Storey Projects are delighted to announce the release of a 10" dubplate special from a man who has been making a splash in the jungle scene for a while now, with a slew of top quality releases on labels such as Fresh 86 and Shiprec, as well as his own imprints - Myor Massiv, MYOR & Diamond Life . A huge welcome to Coco Bryce to 7th Storey's roster of talent ! Featuring two killer cuts from Coco's archives - the A side, 'Raid' in an amenistic attack, replete with dark and eerie interludes. The B Side 'JBB' is a junglistic roller with uplifting pads, plaintive horns and ragga chants. Both tracks demonstrate his ability to create unconventional yet still dance floor friendly tunes tinged with his many musical influences.

Limited Vinyl Double pack pressed on transparent Green & Blue Vinyl. Four tracks, the brand new VIP mix of Species and the Doc Scott inspired track Redeemer, along side Blood Red and the original mix of Species. Serum said of these tracks, they are inspired by the original Virus releases. I wanted to make something with a harder edge and modern production but without losing the grit or the groove. I sampled a lot of experimental electronic music from the 60s and 70s and used vintage style hardware to bring out the right character in the sounds.

* Roy Green & Protone make their Spearhead debut with the 'Why Don't You' EP.
* Going back to their roots, the duo have dug deep into their sample library and captured the sound that Spearhead Records is built on, good old fashioned liquid d&b with plenty of soul.
* Paul SG also makes his Spearhead Records debut alongside Roy Green & Protone with 'Carpaccio Funk'.
* Support from London Elektricity, DJ Marky, DJ Hype, BCee, Doc Scott, and a whole load more...

Dutch powerhouse label, Blackout, have a long and distinguished history in delivering only the best in new music and discovering some delightfully eccentric artists - most of whom appear on this brutal EP by new signing, Pythius.
A particularly great start to a fledgling career with the Abandon EP in 2014 was only bettered by a strong 2015 highlighted by the New Order EP and a couple of nominations at the 2015 D'nB Awards. You could argue then, that the latest offering, Heresy EP, should already be a shoe in for one of the standout releases of the year - and you wouldn't be wrong.
Both Tarkin and title track Heresy have been aired on Friction's BBC Radio 1 show already, and the EP as a whole has been a mainstay in the USB sticks, Hard Drives and (occasionally) record boxes of the Drum'n Bass big guns for a while now - and for good reason. Sliding effortlessly from upfront dancefloor killers to more cinematic, synth-driven tracks appears to be hardwired into the DNA of Pythius, along with an uncanny ability to reignite tracks with atmospheric breakdowns, as evident in Dirty Money.
Whilst his earlier solo work firmly established his own sound, his collaborations with established entities such as Neonlight, State Of Mind, Khronos, DJ Hidden and Black Sun Empire on this EP show a level of diversity that is sure to make him one of the ones to watch in 2016 and beyond.

Coming off the back of the critically acclaimed Trilogy project for Ingredients Records, producer DJ & visual artist, Alex Eveson aka Dead Man's Chest, continues to explore his unique brand of tripped out junglist revivalism with the launch of his latest creative venture: Western Lore. The Throwing Shades EP throws down a patchwork concoction of lazer tinged breaks, atmospheric rushes, soundclash recordings and crusty rave tape samples, deftly woven together in Dead Man's Chest's signature punch-drunk style.
The 3 track vinyl 12' is pressed on heavyweight (180g) black vinyl and housed in a full art reverse board sleeve featuring an original illustration by Eveson.

To ring in the 10th release on Repertoire we're revisiting two of the first tunes to appear on the label - Sophine / Emptiness Is Form. On remix duties are Repertoire's own Law & Wheeler, and fresh from his successful outing on Rupture LDN: Outer Heaven.
Law & Wheeler re-work Sophine into an even lusher ode to the 1995 era Good Looking sound. Atmospheric pads and female vocals take you up, whilst crushing amen edits and heavy bass give the track a hard edge.
Taking on the "Ghost Dog" sampling "Emptiness Is Form", Outer Heaven's signature break work is on full display here. Pounding amens and snarling bass take centre stage alongside machine-gun percussion.
Release 10 represents a landmark for the Repertoire label, so we've gone all out with a full artwork sleeve which depicts two important places in Watton-at-Stone (the birthplace of Moving Shadow), where Law and Wheeler spent their formative years.
The front cover shot shows the village station, which still, after 25 years, proudly displays the 2 Bad Mice graffiti over the railway bridge.
The reverse shows a bench at the end of the village high-street where Law & Wheeler would sit and watch the world go by, listening to the likes of Nookie, Hyper-On- Experience, Blame, Foul Play and Deep Blue blasting out of a Sony Walkman.

The Nu:Logic duo return with their combined genius to present a second full-length collaborative effort 'Somewhere Between The Light'. As two pioneers of the signature Hospital sound, brothers Nu:Tone and Logistics have become influencers and tastemakers in the genre with a deep back-catalogue of smooth, soulful, liquid drum & bass. This 13-track long player soars through the same ethereal movements with a welcomed dip into new territory.
Tracks 'Somewhere Between The Light', 'Side By Side', 'Driftwood' and 'Red Velvet' are sure to satisfy the needs of those after classic Hospital rhythms. Heart-wrenching vocals delivered by the likes of Child of Chief, Thomas Oliver and Ed Thomas balance blissful highs with lower register tones. Fitting into their love of feel-good funk and bluesy grooves is 'Nova' with subtle horns and bouncing basslines in the mix.
Nu:Logic have one foot firmly in the future with 'Strut', featuring fellow Gresham brother Other Echoes and an anti-drop switch up ready to dominate dancefloors world over. 'Our Nights', created with prolific multi-genre producers The Nextmen, shakes a half-time stick with a glistening roller feel. Other highbrow match-ups come from LSB in 'Sepia' and 'Pathways' with singer/songwriter Blake.
Separately and together these two continue on paths to success, with younger brother Logistics reaching BBC Radio 1's playlist last year following his sixth studio album 'Electric Sun'. For the last three years Dan Nu:Tone has become a crucial member of the Hospital A+R team, having an influential role in the progression of both up and coming artists and longstanding members of the family. Their DJ dates continue to take them across the globe with sets promised at the 2017 editions of Standon Calling, Mysteryland, Made Festival and the drum & bass baller Hospitality In The Park.

Following his debut solo release on the esteemed Hospital Records is Ownglow's equally impressive and progressive 'Inside The Silence' EP. Four tracks deliver a personal portrayal of his transatlantic living with collaborations from recent riser Mitekiss, Oxfordshire's electro duo Disco's Over and vocalists Elle Vee and Courtney Odom.
'Breathe' matches up the methods of multi-genre movers Disco's Over and the warm, natural vocals of Elle Vee, who brings a romantic essence with her pitch-perfect topline. A second collaborative effort with the illusive Mitekiss makes a trail down to deeper D+B levels in 'Take Me'.
Ownglow's hometown of Arizona is clearly a pool of talent with resident Courtney Odom bringing sultry vocals to the jazzy waves of 'Mercy'. Finally, 'Glo Mello Flo' pairs playful hip-hop influences with a D+B tempo for a soulful summer soother.
Dive even further into the mind of 20-year old Ownglow with his self-created artwork. An old photograph with a modern twist ties to the EP's ethos of different perspectives and ideas coming together in a minimalist nature.
'Why if there is love, there are no words, inside the silence,' - that quote has stuck with me and I think it's a fitting description for what this EP is - there would be no music without silence, and inside of that silence is something yearning to be heard.' - Ownglow

The 2nd vinyl from Gets Harder series is opened on A side by Barbitura's tech step track Movin' followed by Electrosoul System tongue twister track with vocal by Sunnet. The B side starts from a jungle track by Electrosoul System and the closing tune for this vinyl is a psychodelic drum & bass with elements of trap and vocal on a nonexisting language by Julia Marks - presented by Motorheadz. Pure and solid sound of drums and basslines will surely groove any dance floor or sound system at any time of day or night.

Dutch electronic music trio, Noisia, have announced the release of their long awaited new album, 'Outer Edges' on their own label, Vision. The 18 track album is their first in six years, and the band's second in total.
With a peerless reputation and countless awards under their belts, Noisia have transcended their genre and grown into a phenomenon in their own right. Drum & Bass is at the core of Noisia's sound, but Nik, Martijn, and Thijs's visceral brand has always ventured further.
"It's called Outer Edges because it's us exploring the outer edges of what Noisia, the three of us together, is. It's about the idea that all the songs are little islands that we take to their individual edge... They're all like expeditions to far sides. That doesn't mean that it's everything; it's just that every song, if it goes in a certain direction, we've taken it all the way there. There's no real concessions, we haven't been super DJ- or radio-friendly at all and we've done no collaborations or hardly any vocals on the album." - Noisia

For over two decades, Dread Recordings have time and time again maintained their seminal output with every release. Managing to present a crossover of old school and more modern day techniques, they've given fresh life to the jungle riddims which made drum & bass so prominent during its inception. And for this subsequent release, label head honcho Ray Keith steps up to the plate, bringing with his a deliciously rolling selection of bass heavy proportions. With a massive back catalogue and an even more impressive roster, the figurehead's addition goes on to expand the credibility heralded by both the artists and imprint. Dread Recordings continue to impress, with a history documented through their stellar releases.Nothing less than a jungle tear-out, the Penny mix of 'Feel Some' cuts open Ray Keith's production standard and opens its raw centre. 'Feel Some' is an example of what Ray Keith does best, striving to hit harder each time with sprawling, smashing drums and guttural bass sounds. Taking precedent are those all-important breaks, still standing as the most prominent feature from start to finish. Penny gives it an extra layer, drawing for a heavier flow and firing shot after sonic shot. Neither artist grabs for the brakes.'Do You Wanna Cook' proves that both Dread Recordings and Ray Keith don't adhere to any trend, instead they spearhead a subgenre which has run its own show for some time now. Rugged subs and rattling percussion help fill out the mix, whilst tinny kicks help to underpin its composition. Biting reese slips through between layers, giving a brooding, intimidating hook which stalks its bassline. Then comes 'Zion Dred', slightly more subdued in its rollout but still surging with every succession of pads. It begins to grow in its intensity, not presenting a full-frontal attack like its predecessors but still powerful with every relay. 'Virus' finishes the release, with a clanking set of breaks and punchy drums skittering amongst its clicking hi-hats and swathes of static bass. The track is a lesson through the roots of both Dread Recordings and its stalwart Ray Keith. It's a gradual build, but one which highlights the ingenuity behind both artist and label.

Kicking off 2014 in the most spectacular fashion, Critical Music enters its 12th year with its biggest artist compilation to date.
Painstakingly put together by label boss Kasra over the past year 'Underground Sonics' is an exciting overview of modern day drum
& bass showcasing the true dexterity of one of the most well regarded, independent electronic music labels in the UK today. Kasra has pulled out all the stops, sifting through his phone book to enlist the talents of some of the biggest and most exciting producers in the game. Noisia, Dub Phizix, Enei, Phace, Sam Binga and Kasra himself all make sterling contributions that make for an album of the best of Underground Sonic expression.
"It's been a few years since our last fully fledged label compilation so I wanted to ensure this one was as vital as possible. For me this album truly encapsulates the essence of Critical, a balanced mix of all that's exciting about this music - heads down lights out rollers, experimental side steps and some slightly more aggressive attention grabbers. This album is made up of tracks by the core Critical acts alongside a select group of label friends and for me is a snapshot of where the label is at now and where it is heading." - Kasra About Critical Music: Conceived by D&B visionary Kasra back in 2002, in a front room in north London, the Critical Music name has since blossomed into one of the most successful independent record labels in the UK today. Grown from a simple idea driven by a commitment to putting out the best music the scene has to offer, it has now become one of the most well respected electronic dance music labels in the UK.
With its ongoing label residency at London's Fabric nightclub, branded events the world over, nurturing new talent and releasing
some of the freshest breaks and beats from the likes of Enei, Foreign Concept, Emperor, Mefjus, Ivy Lab, Sam Binga, Break,
Rockwell, Sabre, Stray, Calibre, and many more, it has gone on to build a loyal following around the world driven on by Kasra's never ending quest to release quality underground bass music.
'One of the most forward-thinking labels out there..and Kasra one of drum & bass' most canny A&R's.' - DJ mag
