Already grabbing the ears of Annie Mac, Skream! & Benga and Mistajam on Radio One, this tune is about to blow up in a big way! DnB would not be the same without Drumsound & Bassline Smith (aka Andy Wright, Benjamin Wiggett and Simon Bassline Smith). Together they have body-slammed dancefloors from Derby to Durban and ingrained themselves as three of the finest DnB tastemakers on the planet through their label Technique Recordings, an imprint already into its 12th year of killer dancefloor joints!Always in hot demand, last year alone saw them remix everyone from Afrojack, Blame to VV Brown. Ever popular with the most respected heads of Radio One, where they regularly enjoy airwave time courtesy of Fabio & Grooverider, Zane Lowe, Annie Nightingale and Annie Mac who simply stated 'We love them and have been supporting them since day one'.Freak is an insanely addictive slice of DnB from start to finish. Hailing from St. Petersburg, Russia, Engage started his music career in 2005 after being influenced by the likes of Corrupt souls, Phace, Noisia, Spor and Prolix. Hearing neurofunk for the first time left Dmitry in awe and from that point on, it was his ultimate goal to be a dnb producer. After 3 years of writting, Engage signed his first track to Mayhems Aesthetics. Since then, Engage has been signed to many reputable labels and is supported by artists such as Noisia, Ed rush, London Elektricity, Mayhem, Concord Dawn, Nphect, Illskillz, etc.

The man full of the dirty funk and pure filth is back. Gridlok will take you on a musical journey through of techy beats and growling basslines, all the while maintaining a the funk. Cyanide Recordings has released some of the biggest names in the dance floor / Neurofunk scene... Well it's been a long time coming but finally Critical label boss and all-round entertainer Kasra has put hand to mixing desk and delivered his first full 12' release on the imprint since it began back in 2002. No only that but he's done it with one of the most prolific and hot property names in the scene right now, Brazilian born S.P.Y. The result as you'd expect is pure D&B thunder! 'Surface' rolls out seriously from the off with a snapping two-step break accompanied by paranoid pads that drift throughout the mix as an unnerving vox drops us suddenly into this no-nonsense Friday night king of the rollers. Torpedo bass stabs rule as it marches along with full force to a deep, intense breakdown that signals the second drop into a more twisted incarnation of the b-line before. Dangerous, cavernous drum & bass from two people with their fingers firmly on the pulse.Moving on and 'Control' is a menace from the start with a drawn out intro that sets us up perfectly for the incoming onslaught. A heavily syncopated break leads the way much like a slice of classic Photek brought smack up to date for 2011, whilst undulating bass hits make sure this one never lets go, kicking and scrapping right to the very end. Another very naughty release for the Critical empire. DJ support from Hype, Friction, Jubei, Fabio, Marky, Kasra, S.P.Y. and many more.

The Tantrum Desire boys are making serious waves in drum & bass right now and the world is going crazy for their heavyweight DJ ammunition. 'Freeze' is a high-octane gallop through waves of 80s synths and an elastic bass drop that will take crowds into the stratosphere. Switching things up, 'Just Can't Wait' takes things militant on the flip, a fist- pumping synth riff leading proceedings whilst the pounding drums doing the rest. Warfare guaranteed, but then did you expect anything less~

This is without question Tantrum Desire's biggest and boldest project to date. Across 4 tracks,
the London crew prove when it comes to dance floor devastation, they are a serious force to be
reckoned with. The title track 'Runaway Blues' kicks things off in blistering fashion, combining
widescreen atmospherics and a slew of deadly basslines battling out over neck snapping beats.
Both 'Put Your Hands Up' and 'Body Shot' are lessons in crowd manipulation, containing all the
necessary weapons for maximum impact, and closing the EP is 'Chill' featuring Youngman,
which takes things into stunning, swaggering half speed dirty funk territory.

Remixes from Skream, Bowsky, L-Vis and Gesaffelstein

Critical's beloved new-kid-on-the-block Modulations imprint draws up another naughty storm in the form of 'Stack' b/w 'Sent Down' featuring Script. Having had releases on top-notch labels including Metalheadz and Critical, London-based FD is swiftly gaining recognition for upping the dance floor ante with scrumptiously deep demeanor. 'Stack' is a stepper that delivers efficient pulse and vibrancy, notably in its teasing bassline and clean snare, peppered with bleeps and vocals conjuring a feel of eerie, futuristic space-age. The AA side retains the energetic deep-liquid flow - 'Sent Down's initially gentle pads venture into a neat, nasty break and a mean grizzly, almost unpredictable, bassline. Listen out for the dark distorted vocal that brings you down to the darker corners of the dance floor. Shimmying symbols linger above the downright devilish drum-kit. Definitely a playful bass-heavy monster,'Sent Down' is a shuffling pumper of a tune that deserves to wake the neighbours. And if they hate that resonating, violating bass, it can only be a good thing. DJ support from Noisia, Loxy, Logistics, Kasra, Ulterior, Motive Jubei, DJ Lee, Octane

Beat scientist's Survival & Silent Witness joins forces with 'Grahams Tunnel'. Murky atmospheres and extremely heavy underside are the key ingredients to this technoid roller. 'Bullet' on the flip is fresh, dynamic & soulful Drum and Bass. Still maintaining their trademark sound with smooth soundscapes and rugged grooves. DJ support from Dic Scott, Ant TC1, Break, Bailey, Octane & DLR

A. Top Of The Page If you're lucky enough to be able to do something well and people know you for it, well, its hard not to do it. This track is as the sample says 'not even considered new' but I hope you can hear through the bass line, I'm not making any excuses..
B. I Feel U If at heart you want to write incredibly loud and aggressive techno to echo and drone through the forgotten warehouses of Europe, but realise you're a drum and bass producer halfway into the project and put up the tempo by 50 bpm, this is what you get.
C. Nausea Nausea sounds a bit like a highly compressed piece of machinery in operation, while someone plays a melody on 3 frozen icicle's hanging in the background. I wanted to combine punch and weight with ultra simplistic musical elements that will keep your attention on the duration.
D. Spartan (Noisia Remix) Devastating new remix of Icicle's debut single release on Shogun
Audio, courtesy of production powerhouse Noisia.

On the A side, ASC rolles out another deep and precise track on Levitated Records. On the flip, Method One and Stunna collaborate again to continue this exciting partnership. This track touches on elements of Techstep, Electro, Atmospheric and Leftfield Electronica and 'Orange To Red bridges the gap between the dancefloor and the science lab.

Spearhead Records are happy to present the 12'' sampler for the forthcoming LP from Bungle. It's been four years since his last long player and 'Don't Look Back' is a welcome return to Drum and Bass for Andre Sobota aka Brazil's own Bungle

This is a new label for us and we're excited about this one. Mr Joseph has produced one of the slickest pieces of music we've hear this year. It's totally in keeping with what this labels about and that's putting out quality. London based Mr Joseph is certainly one to watch.

Hailing from Moscow, Nphonix brings his trademark techy sound for this release. Melting Pot Records have been pushing this style now for a few years and even though its still very underground alot of units fly out of warehouse. If you like it dark and techy then get on this!

Congonatty continues to dominate the Drum and Bass charts with this release. Serial Killaz step up again and remix Nas and Damian Marly's 'Land Of Promise'. This tune has been getting alot of support and the second the needle touches the record you'll know why.

Informer's rowdy bassline, rolling beats and chirpy horns create a tough Jungle riddim expertly ridden by Blackout J.A's gravel throated ragga flow, and rising Hip Hop star K-Ners insightful lyrics. The Run Tingz Cru take inspiration from the old school Jungle sound of the 90s and bring it up to date with the heavy basslines and modern production techniques that dominate our airwaves. The Run Tingz Cru's first release of 2011 has once again raised the bar and offers something for fans of Jungle, Drum and Bass, Reggae, Dubstep, Hiphop and Grime alike.
