Fresh from their remix of Jinx' "Car Full Of Herbs", Bristol/London Bass specialists Vinyl Junkie & Sanxion return to Asbo Records alongside legendary Reggae singer Bushman with "Talk Too Much". Things get busy from the start on the original DnB version, a tightly packed and weighty amen break welcomes in Bushman's thoughtful melodic vocals with dubwise horns and instrumentation recreating that timeless reggae vibe at 170BPM with snatches of bleeps and pads that hint at Vinyl Junkie & Sanxion's oldskool hardcore/jungle history. DJ Westy on the remix fattens things up bringing the bass to the front for a real sound system smasher. The 140 remix retains the main elements of the original with added dirty bass and half time drops perfect for festival season, guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser for fans of breaks reggae and that early rave sound.

* It's great to think of John Graham, aka Skanna, rummaging around cupboards in his parents house to find the DATs of his early releases to make this release possible. It was also great to find out that digital degridation had not taken hold on these 20 year old DATs too!
* So here we have another classic Skanna release from 1995 that has been remastered and reissued in an effort to make some classic tracks available again at a reasonable price. Although this record has not commanded such high prices as other releases in the catalogue it has always been tricky to track one down in good condition as the ones out there have all been played to death, and rightly so! The original 'Find Me' and the "Classic Skanna Mix" are both on here and sounding incredible over 20 years later!

Basement Records subsidary label Homegrown Records released a string of Anthems back in the day, these 16 tracks set the Rave Scene alight back in 1993, all of these tunes were played by the top DJs of the time including Top Buzz, Mickey Finn, Ratty, Tango, Swan-e, Phantasy, Kenny Ken, DJ SS, Seduction, Slipmatt, Stu Allan and Keith Suckling to name but a few.

All of these releases are now extremley sought after by the old skool vinyl collectors and most are commanding high prices, for the first time the tunes are now available on CD & Digital Release as well as two triple pack Vinyl Sets for the lovers of Vinyl.

* Debut Vinyl 12' for newly signed Alibi on Bryan Gee's legendary V Recordings. Support from Andy C, JJ Frost, Dj Marky, Bailey and more!

* Brazilian duo Alibi return to V Recordings with a double A sided release in the shape of Trunk b/w No Escape. Their recent single with Command Strange 'Skyline', which spent 2 weeks at Beatport #1, proved that they aren't adverse to a collaboration. To continuing this winning formula they've hooked up with long time D&B vocalist MC Coppa to provide the lyrical artillery on 'Trunk', and their Brazilian compadre Nitri on 'No Escape'.

* This single takes things dark and dirty, and Alibi once again show their versatility. Both tracks taking nods from early Virus sounds, laced with V funk and 21st century depth and precision to their production. Effortlessly mixing the rough with the smooth they are carving a unique sound for themselves, and getting better and better, with every release!

* Having already has support from Andy C, Bryan Gee, DJ Marky, Friction, DJ Hype and more, this is one D&B outfit that is really starting to stand out from the crowd. DJ Chap & Level 2's combination as Alibi is proving to be the real deal.

* With a debut album in the pipeline for the legendary V Recordings, with a host of potential collaborators already teased across social media, they are taking things very seriously indeed. And on top of this the last 6 months has also seen a slew of live appearances across Europe and their South American homeland, as well as a standout set along MC GQ at 2016's SUNANDBASS festival. All this means it might just be time for you to sit up and take notice, or you're gonna need a good Alibi!

REPRESSED !!
If you partied in Bristol in the 90s you'll know all about Ruffneck Ting. The jungle club ran from 1993 to 1999 and during that time put on legendary events at venues like Trinity, Lakota, UWE, Malcolm X Centre, The Fruit Club (Swindon) and The Escape (Cardiff), featuring all the top DJs and MCs in drum & bass.
The record label of the same name was established 1995 and featured tracks by the residents: DJ Dazee, Markee Ledge, Decoder, Felony and MC Jakes. The imprint released classic tracks such as Home Boyz, LF Ant, Rude Girls, Damn Right and many more, plus spawned a successful sister label Breakbeat Culture with Tech Itch, Decoder & Substance and Felony as featured artists
In October 2013, 20 years after the first ever Ruffneck Ting night, the event and the label returned with a fresh look. The first release on the relaunched imprint was a compilation called RNT20 featuring the label's best tracks from the 90s and a launch party took place at Lakota to celebrate.
Since the relaunch, the label has gone from strength to strength with resident artists Jinx, Dazee K Jah and Vytol bringing big flavour plus an ever growing roster of artists including Serum, Saxxon, Aries, Cabin Fever, Genetix, The Force, Habitat and Verdikt helping to firmly re-establish Ruffneck Ting as a leading jungle/steppers label. RNT040 is the fourth Ruffneck Ting album since the label's relaunch in 2013 and the third consecutively to reach the number one spot on Juno Download in digital format. This 6 track vinyl sampler is however the first RNT outing onto vinyl since the late 90's ! To make this journey back to wax even more interesting two of the vinyl tracks are exclusive to vinyl purchasers: "Without You" by k Jah and Vytol is a hefty dance floor stepper with soulful bluesy female vocals contrasting with sumptuous stabby bass. "All Bad Man" by The Force And VerdiK brings rolling jungle breaks, warm pads and dancehall vox samples with huge rolling bass . On the flips of the exclusives we have two sides of two tracks, selected for their high vibe content : all of them huge tunes from the album by Jinx, Sterling Sounds, Bassface Sacha, Morgan Jay, Feindsoul, Danny Lo, Bass Antics & Nino.

ver 36 tracks in the mix across 2 CD's, Ray has handpicked a selection of Dread Recordings artists to feature on this album. Tracks and Exclusive VIP remixes from Ray Keith, Blade Runner, Margaman, Mr Explicit, Serum & Dark Soldier plus many more.

8205 Recordings is ending 2016 with a bang, bringing you The Clash EP' by DJ Renegade (aka DJ Ren of DON FM). The Clash EP' features four tracks of relentless Amiga jungle badness, produced by Ren between 1993 and 1995. Fans of classic Bizzy B / Brain Records material take note: these tunes are RUFF! All four tracks feature massively chopped amens, heavy subs, sinister atmospherics and and that classic Amiga grit that helped define so many tunes of that era.Only one of the four tracks on this EP was ever available before in any format, via an extremely rare and pricey Japanese CD compilation. The other three have never been released at all, and were only heard on dubplate in sets by a select few djs like Equinox (who helped remaster this release), Nut E-1, and of course DJ Ren himself. The Clash EP' will be released December 23d as a hand-stamped black vinyl 12', limited to 300 copies. Each copy of the EP includes a unique download code, providing access to all four tracks in your choice of digital format.Wanna war Alright.... THE CLASH STARTS FROM NOW!

Claudja Barry's cult "Love for the sake of love" gets Mike Maurro's magic remix treatment for the 7th release on Brookside Records. This is no ordinary edit or reworking though, Mike got his hands on the actual physical master tapes and turned in a refreshed, original mix of this sleazed out downtempo monster. Well known by underground Disco aficionados by it's inclusion on DJ Harvey's earth shattering and legendary "Sarcastic Study Masters" mix CD from 2001 this mid 70's Tom Moulton mixed number came out on Salsoul and caused quite a stir. This new mix really breathes new life into this stone cold classic, Mike utilises lots of alternative takes, vocal vamps and instrumentation from the original sessions giving us a version that's never been heard before! A completely new, original mix. If that doesn't get all you Disco fiends excited then something is seriously wrong!

On the B-side Mike takes Claudia's "Sweet Dynamite" into a new realm too, again using the master tapes to full effect to create a new, refreshed version of one of her more popular jams, A raucous, slamming club cut. Also released in 1976 and mixed again by Tom Moulton, Mike Maurro's version extends everything in just the right way! His rearrangements and remixes are always respectfully executed and it's clear that Mike understands and feels the tracks he works on. Again, another cult Disco cut reworked beautifully for 2016, essential stuff for all lovers of this kind of music, this release is simply unmissable. The record comes in a full colour picture sleeve and these remixes are exclusive to this release and are fully, 100% legit, licensed and sanctioned by all relevant rights holders.

Simply put, another set of essential mixes from a modern day master! File under - *Essential Disco*

FDX006 takes us on a version excursion, Threshold takes us on an unforgettable journey through Drum and Bass via Trench Town Jamaica. This man's musical heritage and reggae dub collection have had a clear impact on these four crucial cuts. From working with Breakage over the last 10 years on Reinforced and Digital Soundboy, to Special Branch on Ray Keith's Penny Black, to his own Dub Clinique label and previous releases on FDX skilled craftsman Threshold brings some depth charge business and we felt it only right to give the EP a fitting dub influenced, picture disc, shrink wrapped presentation.

SCANDAL - Super low subs and rolling breaks twisted up in inimitable Threshold style are seasoned with choice vocal samples and dub blips to cause a rumpus dedicated to all chatty mouth people....

FUK RI - No holds barred heavyweight amen choppage to kill all the fuk ri out there. People is sick and tired of hearing bumbaclart get down shit seen....

EASE OFF - What make it so ruff Threshold's steaming amen and Gregory and Dennis in a combination style probably has something to do with it!

MI RARSE - The final chapter of the EP features an angry patois vocal punctuating a rolling break, both of which have had a serious dose of echo chamber thrown at them, a riddim to clean ya pussyclart bathroom too...

Moonshine Recordings continues to coordinate dub into all sorts of directions with its steady throughput of vinyl releases. This time around, it's the Spanish-based Bukkha to uplift all followers with two up-tempo rollers that take part in his crucial 'Ruling Sound' EP. His name has been all over the news inside bass culture lately, as the American released highly noted physical music on critical labels like Killa Sound and Dub-Stuy Records. He's been working his way to the top and the only thing the Moonshine Recordings imprint can do is support his efforts in pushing dub music to the masses at any given moment of the day.
On top of this wicked news, Portland's dub producer and engineer 'Skelli Skel' joins this session to frame the taste of the 'PDX Mandem' collective from back home. His love for complex rhythms and heavy bass lines fuel his adventure inside dub culture, something you'll hear when listening to 'MS028'. And with the familiar voice from don Junior Dread, who jumps in on the hype by illuminating the dub with carefully selected freedom of speech, it's the collaboration that speaks for itself. To top it all, TMSV is added to the release roster, a producer whose been dealing some serious damage with his inventive music repertoire. Whether it's music on the darker tip, or the more laidback sound, both Bukkha and TMSV know how to uplift and please their followers with bass-heavy, eardrums-teasing bass music.
Bukkha's 'Ruling Sound' leads his way through musicality by portraying the right balance of instruments and not to mention the gigantic bassline that disperses vibrantly through the lower bottom of the mix. The reigning vocal support from Junior Dread and dub techniques from PDX Mandem family Skelli Skell work out fantastically, as it makes this record come to life. Listen to the instrumental part that propagates in the exact sense of 'dub music', regardless of spinning on a higher beats per minute. The version 'Ruling Dub' by Bukkha himself plays a more meditative part inside your headspace; a clipping where basslines and effects will act up in a blurred version. It's the real attention to detail the American producer shares with remix boss TMSV, who hits fans with a darker joint that pays homage to Drum & Bass. It's aggressive stance forms the pinnacle of 'the right' B-side of a Moonshine Recordings plate. Just make sure you experience the second drop of this absolutely mammoth interpretation, as TMSV shuts down the place!

* Dispatch Recordings proudly present 'Dreamland' - the 2nd solo album from Bristol based DLR.

* Continuing where his 2015 debut 'Seeing Sounds' left off, 'Dreamland' is an album concept that reflects on the world today. Encouraging people to challenge the barriers and comfort zones we blissfully exist within, DLR seeks to resist the inadequate reality we are sleepwalking into; an inherently greed based system, where numbers govern art and culture, whilst popularity determines the success of social causes, as issues are picked up and dropped in the blink of an eye.

* Musically, the album is honest, straight up and sound design focused, as DLR pays homage to the older styles of DnB, building on the genre's core principles, writing his own chapter in Bristol's long running heritage.

* A statement of intent towards soul and groove driven music, each track is personified by simple ideas meticulously arranged, as DLR prioritises the raw elements to enhance the groove and sub bass, allowing each aspect enough space to breathe and develop.

* The vinyl double pack includes two tracks that will never be sold digitally, such as 'Time Wasting' (aired on both Noisia Radio and BBC Radio 1). Select collabs from the album also feature: with Break ('What It Feels Like'), Hydro ('We're All Wrong') and Gusto, (title track 'Dreamland'), for the project's focal point, containing lyrics that detail the whole concept.

Gunmen is the cooperative project of junglist Tony Anthem and PsychoFreud. Here they come again with another hit song, or actually two if you include the huge Girls anthem featuring Esco!
