Rob Ellis, AKA Pinch is the owner of one of the original and highly influential Dubstep labels Tectonic who have signed, developed and released music from some of the scene's biggest acts such as Joker, 2562, Cyrus, Digital Mystikz, Skream, Jack Sparrow and of course Pinch. Pinch is also founder of Subloaded, Bristol's finest Bass rave, who has recently celebrated their 6th Birthday. This is Pinch's first release on Mala's DEEP MEDi imprint and we feel it's his best work to date, we'll sure you'll agree. 'Swish' has been played relentlessly by Mala over the last year as well as a select lucky few able to get their hands on it such as Skream, Loefah, Youngsta and V.I.V.E.K. 'Swish' is classic Pinch, dark, moody and sparse, heavily influenced by Techno, with a sub- bass and kick to destroy any bass bin, pure soundsystem music. 'Tunnel Home' on the flip sees Pinch in experimental mode switching up the tempo, 155. This still has the Pinch trademark darkness and efx's but oozes a stealthily undercurrent and coldness with its complex drum programming and industrial approach, reminiscent of early Photek output.

Built of sterner stuff than you might expect, Redinho's musical palette morphs and fractures with every new production. Born and raised on funk, Redinho is as much a product of the 80s as he is the current dance music climate

Noppa has become well known for bringing in exciting fresh talent from all over the world : Clouds, Desto, DJG, 12th Planet to Late. In 2011 Noppa is set to release a 12 from one of the most talked about up & coming producers, Teeth.. With recent performances in Boiler Room show and DMZ he's one the most exciting new artist entering the limelight in 2011. CNT is an absolute banger. Chopped up vocals, Skippy post-garage beats and bouncy 808 bass are destroying the dancefloors all over the world. Lowcut keeps the same vibe but goes two levels deeper. Monster 12. CNT & Lowcut has been supported by DJs like Oneman, Blackdown, Desto and Tes La Rok to name a few.

Girl Unit and Funkineven roll out the lino and prepare for battle with two top-rocking 808 variations on Bretons originals.A. Breton - RDI (Girl Unit Remix) - First in the circle, 'Girl Unit' cranks up the boom-box and makes it all look too easy with a straight-illin' beats and bass bomb.AA. Breton - December (Funkineven Remix) - Next up, Funkineven falls in like a drunk Bambaata with some brilliantly deranged electro boogie.

Limited quantities. The first single taken from the upcoming HENCH compilation 'Hench Mixtape Volume 2'. Two huge tunes coming from the collaborative efforts of Mensah, Sukh Knight & Squarewave, 'Quad Bikes' in particular has been causing a huge stir on the dubstep-led airwaves supported by Hatcha, N-Type, Jakes, Mistajam and more. Don't sleep on this one.

After releasing their debut album 'Crooks and Lovers' last summer to huge critical acclaim and racking up numerous end of year lists including the shortlist for Guardian's First Album Award, plus sell out tours in North America, Australia and Europe, London duo Mount Kimbie announce the news of their next EP 'Carbonated'. Set for release on 27th June on their label Hot Flush, the EP follows the release of the 'Blind Night Errand' EP and will be the final release from the album.'Carbonated', the lead track on the EP is joined by two previously unreleased tracks, the buoyant, effervescence of 'Flux' and 'Bave's Chords', which showcase the lush, elegant percussive sound Mount Kimbie have become known for. 'Bave's Chords' was recorded around their early EP 'Maybes' and 'Flux' was created during the album recordings.Airhead, who's shortly releasing his own album on Brainmath and is member of James Blakes' live band, subtly twists 'Carbonated' with his remix, while Belgian producer & DJ Peter Van Hoesen creates a six minute dark techno rework for the dancefloor. 'Adriatic', also from 'Crooks and Lovers' is transformed completely by Klaus with his style of detailed production hitting the mark once more. 'Crooks and Lovers' defined Dominic Maker and Kai Campos as an original and exceptional duo whose musical output refuses to be pigeonholed. Abundant in paradoxes, the album floats through dubstep and hip-hop, jazz, techno, post-rock, UK garage, shoegaze, indie and film scores to startling effect.

Mala's DEEP MEDi Musik label release the second single by (at this point in time) unknown artist(s)() Old Apparatus. 180 gram Vinyl 10' with printed sleeve.

Skream returns with his second 12' and it's a further exhibition of his freakish musical ability. Having been working on a number of projects this last year he's managed to squeeze time into his hectic schedule to make two remarkable tracks for Nonplus.a) Skream 'Exothermic Reaction' - 'Exothermic Reaction' has been doing the rounds on the DJ circuit for well over a year and has been patiently awaited by fans since its first airing on Rinse FM. Skream takes us deep into haunting graveyard territory with ghoulish effects and off beat creepy bass lines that send shivers down your spine. Snares crack like whips around your head whilst the lfo mid range stays well under control in a spellbinding and palpitating groove that subtly keeps the track evolving.aa) Skream 'Future Funkizm' - 'Future Funkizm' completely flips the script into the kind of one off track that comes out of Skreams mind every now and again and completely grabs you with its musical madness. Rolling beats coupled with a robo tone bassline set the scene for a synth masterclass that expands and contracts across the keys into a g-funk laden glimpse of the future.

The second release on New World Audio is a 4 track ep showcasing a variety of flavours from the producers in the camp. The title track sees Sukh Knight and Squarewave team up again after the success of their Hench release, this time on the tribal roller called Tribesman. The long list of club DJ and radio support solidifies the strength of all the tracks on the ep. Supported by: Mistajam, Benga, Redlight, Rob Da Bank, Plastician, Jakes, Eddie K, Chefal, Walsh and many more.

FabricLive needed someone strong to follow on from superb mixes courtesy of Pearson Sound and Jackmaster, and sought out Goldie's help. Thankfully, he agreed.

'FABRICLIVE 58: GOLDIE' is an embodiment of the Metalheadz mantra: forever finding ways to challenge formulas and take the D&B sound into an intelligent, deeply spiritual - and downright primal - sphere. A loud and proud snapshot of his Metalheadz stable, and the likeminded artists that stay at their level on equally progressive D&B labels, the mix features some of the most cutting edge and visionary music on the genre's helm

MATTA WITH A DOUBLE HEADER FOR UNDER 5'S.

In celebration of their 50th 12" vinyl release, Tectonic is very proud to present a rare new outing from none other than the legendary Photek. Rupert Parkes carved himself a solid reputation throughout the '90s for delivering precision drum work, clinical production values and consistently pushing boundaries in jungle and drum& bass. Gracing Tectonic with the soulful 120bpm 'Closer', Photek has turned a corner with his style and sound since the d&b days, keeping things fresh and upfront for this celebratory release. Label boss Pinch flips the vibe back to 140bpm dubstep territories with his flipside remix, keeping things rolling and soulful but also heavily laced with a characteristic brooding sense of menace. Full picture sleeve for this one too, and the first 1000 copies off the press also come with free download code for digital versions of both tracks.

No longer Belgium's best-kept secret, Francis is a high prolific beat-maker, baking his beat by the dozen, under an assortment of alliases: kingfisherg (on Carte Postale, Leaving Records and Wigflip), Sineshine (on Plynt), as a member of Bretzel Zoo (on Eat Concrete), or here (or on Surf Kill or Vlek) as Cupp Cave. His 'garbage Pail Beats', released on Thin Consolation in 2008, were a 'rump-shaking, head-nodding, feet-shuffling slap in the face, one for the crate-diggers and glitch-lovers'. But that chip has sailed, and this is the long-awaited follow-up EP. Once again: 'Think nice crunchy gravel'.

DRUM & BASS BIZNESS FROM INTENSE

Canadian dubstep pioneers The Konspiracy Group celebrate ten years of bass science, ambient drift and sound system thought with their fourth release and second twelve inch, 'What It's Not' by Kuma. Standing as The Konspiracy Group' firmest statement to date, 'What It's Not' is an uncompromising slab of heavily swung dubstep that sounds like nothing else rocking floors today. Strings and chimes straight out of Detroit meet one of Kuma's finest basslines to date, and a rhythm that invokes the swing of classic Zed Bias and the grime of classic No-U Turn (or should that be, Turn U-On). Carrying on the vast tradition of vocal versioning that runs back to the early days of sound system culture, TKG took Kuma's rhythm and gave it to two of their favourite voices in dance music today. After hearing his work alongside the mighty Sub Swara crew, as resident of New York's legendary Dubwar night and as a solo artist of series flex, it made sense to hand 'What It's Not' to the voice of North American dubstep, MC Juakali. Using the base of Reese bass and strings as a platform, Juakali has laid down one of his most affecting vocals yet, striking both heart and head with this distinct rallying cry. On the flip, Stockholm-born Vancouver resident Amalia takes her multi-octave range and sweeping tones straight to the heart of the rhythm, reinterpreting the tune as 'Fall', a love song not only for the dance floor, but the people you meet on it too. Sheffield's Grievous Angel is one of the few artists out there really linking the lineages of noise and industrial with UK Bass and sound system culture, so asking him to take a swing at Juakali's versioning of 'What It's Not' made perfect sense. What came back is a 2-step remix as ornery as Throbbing Gristle making acid house, as rough as a Kingston sound system rhythm and as swinging as any classic Horsepower track. This is an EP that fights against conservative thinking in electronic music, informed by the lessons of history, and looking firmly to the future, finely honed at Transition for maximum impact.

It's a hard act following Champion's Motherboard EP, but Hardrive label boss Terror Danjah has pulled the trick off with aplomb, with this revisit of one of the biggest club tracks of last year, produced by Redlight. The original version was supported across the board, from the dubstep heavyweights such as Skream, Benga, Hatcha and Plastician, to the leaders of the eclectic DJ pack like Mistajam and Toddla T. Fast forward to 2011, and Bok Bok and Royal T join the fold to give the catchy vocals an update. Butterz loyalist Royal T has been on fire with remixes this year already for Wiley, Wretch 32, Yasmin, Kano and original production for P Money and young upstarts Kozzie & Merky Ace. Bok Bok has been a lot more selective with his music, only appearing on his own Night Slugs imprint and a few other big players such as Modeselektors Monkey Town Records. Along with the original redlight production, the Mz Bratt acapella is also included for all budding producers to lay down their own remix of one of the leading female MCs in the game.

the other site of daniel stefanik: dambala experience is starting with the three tracks by this leipzig-based artist. in difference to his releases on cocoon, freude am tanzen or mobilee you can listen to his freeing from minimal-"four-to-the-floor"-arrangements into an experimental dubby/dubstep - affair with a great influence of african sounds, made for the dancefloors too! available as limited colored 10inch

After his ridiculously massive 'Disappearing Reappearing Ink' 12 over a year ago, Desto yet again steps up to the plate with another armful of dreamy dubstep. 'Stay Strong' marks the first wave of the Helsinki invasion of 2011 from RAMP, look out for music from Teeth & Clouds coming very soon.

DFRNT is the vowel-less moniker for Edinburgh's bass-music experimentalist Alex Cowles. Following his acclaimed debut on Echodub in 2009, 'Metafiction', DFRNT has carved a niche for his own style of deep, forward thinking dubstep and techno productions. This project, a year in the making, bore fruit after Alex was commissioned to remix Unquote's 'Cold Tenderness'. 'Emotional Response' is an extended player that ticks all the boxes. Stealthy musical outings 'True' and 'Slumber' sit perfectly alongside dancefloor jaunts 'Faster Daddy' and 'Relentless' while the euphoric 'Short Bus' typifies everything that great about bass-music at the moment. Throw the emotional 'So Far Away' and the heavily dub influenced 'Rampant Behaviour' into the mix and you have an eclectic collection of tracks that define Alex's DFRNT sound. The package also contains bonus remixes from some of the scene's most respected producers. Fresh from his recent LP on NonPlus+, ASC provides a stunning rework of 'Slumber', while Jus Wan and Jack Dixon stamp 'Short Bus' and 'True' respectively with their own trademark styles. This stunning collection of deep dubstep and techno tracks have been heavily supported in clubs, on the airwaves, in magazines and blogs worldwide with support from Mary Anne Hobbs, dBridge, Rob Sparx, Addison Groove, Ally McRae (BBC Scotland), Muslim Alim, Markle to name a few as well as reviews in IDJ, Trap, DJ Mag, Sonic Router and Resident Advisor.

Matty G comes in with 2 real burners here. Smooth R & B style vocals with Think breaks bring you back to the days when Hip-Hop/R & B/Jungle was the sound. Listeners and dancers are sure to find a side that will suit their needs.
