Founded in 2013, Heith is an open project revolving around Haunter Records co-founder and Cage Suburbia member Daniele Guerrini, whose current live incarnation also includes longtime friend Tristan Viecelli. Its manifestations mostly involve dense layers of drones whirling around sparse androgynous grooves.
There is a sound intensity makes while echoing through a human body, be it through meditation, dream, the coming down of a drug or the unexpected resurfacing of a string of memories. It is the ghastly sound of absence. It permeates the atmosphere disguising itself as silence, phasing in and out of empathy, in and out of time, through past and future experiences. It eventually evolves into a
form of tired, narcotic sexual stimulation, bringing as much love and pleasure as pain, guilt, fear and violence. Its true nature is an enigma that allows itself to get explored and experienced, rather
than explained. This is what lead Heith through the creation of the Silence Will Expire EP, six tracks of rhythmic body poetry that make use heavy bass pulsation, transitional percussions and dehumanized vocals as ritualistic tools, setting up a looping narrative with no final resolution, yet radically modifying its own spiritual setting.

Telecult Powers, the candle burning duo of Witchbeam & Mr. Matthews, known for their ritualistic live shows and previous releases on Baked Tapes, Draft, Pizza Night and more, bestow upon us their new album "Black Meditations", a six part sonic meditation on the connections between man, myth & magic. "Black Meditations" taps into the world of folk magic, reaching out to the spirit world through sonic practice, with the duo praying at an altar of bizarre electronic instruments handcrafted by Mr. Matthews. Through this "Hoodootronix" music Telecult Powers taps into the current in which the spirits of Atlantis, Rexino Mondo, In Search Of..., Dionysus cults, old witchy Hollywood, Mort Garson, Louise Huebner, Nik Raicevic, Bruce Haack, Bebe and Louis Barron, and Discordians draw from. Featuring guest appearances by Lala Ryan from Excepter, Rachel & Grant Evans, Kate McGuire, The Road Chief and liner notes by Carl Abrahamsson.

To celebrate the release of "Black Meditations" Telecult Powers will be performing at Neon Marshmallow Fest in Chicago August 2nd and Voice of the Valley Noise Rally in rural West Virginia August 8th.

* Hot on the tails of the excellent EP on Cold Recordings, dropped earlier in the year, Manchester's Acre takes thing to Tectonic once again demonstrating why we should be paying plenty of attention to this exciting young producer. Acre glides across sonic landscapes of grime, techno, industrial/experimental with ease, melding a jilted sense of other-worldliness seamlessly with dancefloor sensibilities. A delicate tightrope to walk! Over the course of 'Icons EP', Acre explores and references his influences - expanding, developing and flashing light over towards the unseen.

* 'Ping' kicks the EP off, it's raucous hoovers tearing from the offset, soon to be joined by toxic breakbeats, bouncing of the walls; screaming it's demented jungle war cry at 125bpm. Guaranteed to get your heart racing! Follow on then to 'Blue Moon' which references grime instrumentals of years past, yielding a darker take to the more familiar Night Slugs sonic. Flip the plate and take a deep percussive journey with 'Icon' which sounds a bit like Shackleton might if he made his beats on a gameboy.. Finally 'Reload' winds down the EP at a more relaxed pace yet compromised - 'loaded with future-bass science and other mind melting sounds.

The inaugural release for the label offshoot of Australian radio show Noise In My Head, 'Tracks For Performance' serves up two new tracks from LA-based anomaly Suzanne Kraft. Originally conceived as a contemporary dance score, these proven body movers are some of the producer's toughest work to date. 'Dead Ringer' finds a snake charmer harmonising with the racket of a metal works factory while 'Ruff Bathers' tries to operate the forklift under heavy sedation.

Front & Follow, in collaboration with The Outer Church, present a stunning new EP from Pye Corner Audio - The Black Mist EP.
The EP features an extended mix of the title track Black Mist (the original featured on last year's Outer Church compilation), new track Bulk Erase and a remix of Black Mist by fellow OC collaborators Old Apparatus.Pye Corner Audio is the audio recovery project of the Head Technician, a mysterious and studious figure who has developed the ability to travel sideways through time and space via a) the use of rewired analogue recording equipment and b) the judicious application of moss and fog. Alongside the self-released Black Mill Tapes research series (recently collected on vinyl and CD by Type Records), the Head Technician has released music through Dekorder, Type, The Tapeworm and Boomkat Editions, not to mention a full-length album, Sleep Games, on Ghost Box. Earlier this year, he was coaxed out of the lab and indeed the British Isles to join Mogwai on their European tour, where he took considerable pleasure in sampling the lichen of foreign lands. The Head Technician claims not to know where the bodies are buried, but would be happy to show you his reels.Old Apparatus were specially selected by the Head Technician to remix Black Mist, and have turned in a distressed deconstruction in keeping with their rusted iron aesthetic. A collective of shady individuals most often found muttering obscure invocations in the low-rent drinking dens of North East London, their stubbornly uncategorisable sound debuted in 2011 with a hissing, creaking self-titled 12' on Mala's esteemed Deep MEDi label. Their debut album, Compendium, was released on their own Sullen Tone label in 2013. The outfit has in addition birthed a number of intriguing offshoots such as Harem, Saa and Penny. One of them may be standing behind you right now, reading this over your shoulder. Don't look.Much imitated but never equalled, The Outer Church is a shadowy Brighton-based organisation dedicated to the promotion of uncanny sound and vision. Its semi-human representative is music writer and persistent meddler Joseph Stannard (The Wire, Mojo, Red Bull Music Academy, The Quietus etc). Since its inception in 2009, The Outer Church has presented live audiovisual performances from Demdike Stare, Raime, Pye Corner Audio, Some Truths, Ekoplekz, Kemper Norton, Hacker Farm, Umberto, High Wolf, Grumbling Fur and many, many more. 'Magnum Innominandum. A random access myth. The clarion signals the opening of the portal. Remember to take a reading. A hex and a pox and the land is ours.'

Psyché Tropes is a new label from the creator of Hackney Film Festival, dedicated to exploring the synaesthetic intersections between sound and its visual counterpart. From its inception in 2010 Hackney Film Festival set out as a platform for a community of audio-visual artists living and working in the East London borough, inscribed within the grooves of this vinyl convocation is a cherry-picked clutch of them. Now Vol. 1 is born and HFF evolves: a crucible of images that begets sounds - errant motile sounds whose blind wriggle detaches from the AV mother lode in search of a new synthesis. Welcome to the inaugural release by Psychè Tropes, a label dedicated to exploring the synaesthetic intersections between sound and its visual counterpart. You hold in your hands an oil-based spiral groove etched with vibrations called forth by cinematic prerogatives. Secreted within the folds of this record's sleeve you will find a tangible strip of 16mm film with combined optical soundtrack. This film strip is a suggestive random fragment of the visual component made for this release, whose indexical iconography has been shuffled and dealt to you, like some arcane tarot deck

Having built up a dedicated following with two cassette only releases on his own Varech label, Belgian producer Brice Dreessen, AKA Lowcommittee, has signed to the cult Vlek label for the release of 'Race at Neon Club'.

Featuring 8 tracks of dazzling electronic soundscapes, 'Race at Neon Club' sees Dreessen fulfill the promise of his early work to deliver a beautiful, if at times unsettling, album that ranges from blissful interstellar ambience through to disorientating experimental noise and industrial rhythms.

Kicking things off with '23E4' Dreessen perfectly sets the tone for an album that time and time again conjures up incredible cosmic vistas in the mind's eye, it's sparkling synths blinking in an out of existence like the first stars illuminating the inky blackness.

Throughout 'Race at Neon Club' Dreessen delivers a masterclass in modular synthesis, '2702' recalls the serene majesty of Gavin Russom and Delia Gonzalez's 'Rise', '1943', the record's first drum beat but still the focus is on the brittle synths and hollow turbine roar that propels us through to 'Sativae', whose haunting organ chords swell above the untamed sounds that bubble away beneath.

Opening side 2 of the album 'Diptych' sounds like an orchestra of old radios tuned to ancient transmissions, a cacophony of chaos that is finally brought to clockwork order by the introduction of a mechanical hip-hop beat.

'Void' recalls the lascivious stop-start intro to Grace Jones' 'Pull Up To The Bumper' filtered through the gridlock of Brussels traffic, whilst 'Salon' sounds like Gescom soundtracking a documentary of the earliest life on earth, amino acids bubbling away in some primordial pit. Closing out the album with the beatless 'Chair', Dreessen brings us full circle as one by one the lights go out and we're left along again in the dark void.

Released digitally and on 12' this December, the limited edition vinyl release maintains Vlek's strong visual identity with a beautiful blue and gold ink hand-letterpressed sleeve designed by the label's own Dimitri Runkkari.

"On this album (electronic music) I am exploring the effect of the reverb in a different way than in my previous release (Spyweirdos "feeling of movement"). The reverb effect is perceived as a factor of the timbre of a sound as the time floats. The composition of this album is based on electronic sounds that have a unique timbre. The effect of timbre's uniqueness is that the listener does not have a clear reference of the sound and therefore no expectations for the reflections of the sound inside a room. Thus, the listener is not able to distinguish the clean sound (heard under anechoic conditions - with no reverb) from a different sound with a reverb. Hence, it is possible that the listener has the impression that the musician is in the same room and plays the music in real-time. It is also possible that after a while the listener has a different perception of the sound: a sound with a reverb different from the reverb of his room. At that moment the 'here and now' of the work of art vanishes. At this point I would like to refer to Walter Benjamin, who argues that the actor's aura is destructed when he is shot on camera for a movie. Similarly, music's aura is destructed by listening to pre-recorded music. Yet, due to the peculiar perception of electronic sounds, the Benjaminian aura of the tracks on this album alternates from presence to absence." - Spyros Polychronopoulos

Yttre rymden is a travel by boat leading to adventures around the world. Yttre rymden might mean outer space but what defines outer space sometimes depend on which way you look at things. This story looks at the outside world from within and utilizes travels and adventures as a way to explore the world as outer space.

Drew Lustman aka FaltyDL released his fourth long player 'In The Wild' back in August and he returns to the fray armed with a new 8-track mini album.

From the moody chug of 'Greater Antilles VIP' - appearing in its original unedited glory - to Lustman's own bruk beatdown version 'Do Me' ('This one is for the kids' he says), the palette here is as rich and diverse as on 'In The Wild'.

The reworks come direct from Lustman's extended musical family - Planet Mu boss Mike Paradinas (aka µ-Ziq), Blueberry Records' very own Brrd and the relative newcomer from LA (via Bolivia) E+E.

FaltyDL has toured with James Blake, opened for Radiohead and remixed for the likes of Seun Kuti, Photek, The xx and Disclosure

The second release on Kutmah's IZWID imprint is a rare collection of bugged out electronic soul from the Los Angeles-based vocalist, producer and poet, Seven Davis Jr. "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" spans 12 years of experimental, cosmic out-of-body-and-mind music, of mostly four and eight track recordings once lost in storage via a lengthly hiatus due to drug addiction and depression.
Resurfacing in 2012, Seven Davis Jr.'s 'Thanks' appeared on Kutmah's much lauded "Worldwide Family Vol. 2" compilation on Brownswood Recordings, after which the kaleidoscopic artist released the clattering funked beats of "Lo-Fi Vintage" and house-inspired "One" EP.
For IZWID, "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" is a creative blueprint for Davis Jr.'s brilliantly unorthodox approach with his beautifully raw drums and psychotropic harmonies. "I made a lot of this music many years ago and other labels and artists hated on me for it," says Davis Jr. of the lost tapes. "They said it was too weird, too different, sounded like drug music (it was) and they told me I was going to hell, for 'Pornostar'. Years later; new life, new city, new day and age. I found the music again, which I never stopped loving and decided to send it all to Kutmah.

Newcastle's finest Smoove & Turrell are back with their third studio album Broken Toys and this single is certain to add to their momentum.

As well as the scorching disco licks of the original, the track has been remixed by Ashley Beedle, Opolopo and The Porters.

Yep - that's what we said. Digging into his treasure trove of vintage synths - even the ones his missus doesn't know he's bought, the man like Porter delivers a storming remix of authentic cosmic disco goodness. Check out the video for Will You Be Mine soon to be premiered in which Mike is the main star even eclipsing the charismatic duo of Smoove & Turrell on this occasion.

David Harrow could easily play on musical heritage if he wanted, but that's not his style. The man has played with enough true legends of overground and underground music for several lifetimes, and could dine out for years on the hair-raising stories of far out and extreme musical scenes he's been involved with. But what links all his musical adventures so far is a constant quest for new and stimulating sounds, and that applies as strongly now as when he first launched into the post-punk climate at the end of the 1970s.

Mick Chillage released his debut album 'Tales From The Igloo' back in August 2009. The album was highly praised at the time and has developed a cult status among the ambient / electronic community. Since the release Mick's career has blossomed greatly and has seen the producer release an array of quality releases on labels such as Fax / Anodize / Carpe Sonum / Txt.. & Nice & Nasty to name a few.

Both sides showcase the young producer's unique style, melding Grime, Ballroom beats and the NS Club Constructions manifesto into a new club sound of all his own.

Following 2012's acclaimed Tropical Psychedelics album, Los Angeles electronic-psychedelic multi-instrumentalist, Eddie Ruscha returns to Emotional Response with the second collection of cassette recordings.
Dating from tape recordings made between 1996 - 2012, Cosmic Vibrations follows the Tropical Psychedelics (ERS003) album for the label, this time digging deeper in to the mind
of Secret Circuit than the more dance floor inspired sounds heard on last years album Tactile Galactics album for Beats In Space.
Again we glimpse a melting pot of pyschedelia, techno, balearic and ambient to create an electronic gem, but all done with a wry smile and jesters wink rather than today's penchant of moody seriousness. Life on the US West Coast shines from the album, from opener Out West to She Got Love,
sunshine music that couldn't be made anywhere else. It's not all hippy-happy vibes though with Minimal Vibrations and the dub of Straightline taking things in to deeper and
instropective territory. However, all things resonate in Eddie's analogue meets kitchen sink synthesis. Layer after
layer floats across the album to create a smile-inducing whole. Journeying from the folk guitar of Somnambulation to the minimilism of Glass Skeletons, before bidding a fond
farewell in the apt, Bells. This second and final collection of early cassette works is not an end, but a blessing.

Take a quartet of free jazz/noise rock improvisers. Play them timestretched and detuned samples of muzak and smooth jazz. Ask them to play along and against the disorientating field of saccharine and dissonant structures. Modern Feelings. In 2012 Ideologic Organ released the 2LP set '12 Stationer VI' featuring the last part of a large scale work by the Hungarian-Swedish composer Akos Rozmann. Here, in 2014 Ideologic Organ is immensely proud to present the complete version of Rozmann's epic masterpiece presented for the first time in its entirety as a deluxe 7CD set.

Akos Rozmann (1939-2005) was born in Budapest where he studied organ and composition at the Liszt Academy. From 1971 to 1974 he studied composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and from 1978 he was an organist at the catholic cathedral in Stockholm. Throughout his life Rozmann dedicated himself to musique concrete developing one of the largest and most rewarding bodies of work in this, the most alchemical of all musical genres. In the early eighties, Rozmann started to build a private electroacoustic studio which he installed in the basement of the Catholic Cathedral whilst continuing to work in tandem at the Elektronmusikstudion (EMS Sweden) where he produced his earlier masterpieces.

Minimal Wave present a 12' EP of tracks from the archives of Sheffield based electronic music legend Richard H. Kirk, who came to prominence in the 1970s as a member of the seminal industrial band Cabaret Voltaire. His first release as a solo artist, Disposable Half-Truths, came out in 1980 on Throbbing Gristle's Industrial Records label. On the EP, we compile tracks originally recorded between 1978 and 1987, which have never before been released on vinyl.

Sibir, the seventh Gateless Gate recording, is an ambient music exploration of the wild landscapes (and seascapes) of Siberia, from the southern hills of Buryatia to the high Arctic and under the waters of the icy sea. Much of our music is inspired by wild places, whether it's the nature of our native Canada, the steppes of Mongolia, a British meadow or the high Arctic. I have always had a fascination with the vastness and wildness of Siberia and wanted to see if I could capture the atmosphere of some of these places.

Taking inspiration from the great Art Blakey, who released an album of the same name on Columbia Records in 1957, Equinox Recordings returns with it's first release of 2014 with Drum Suite, a 4 track release featuring music from four different artists who share the fact they are all drummers, producers, and create electronic music with a keen jazz aesthetic. These include heavy-hitters from the UK: Richard Spaven, Hello Skinny & Emanative, as well as Australia's Clever Austin, who returns to Equinox Recordings after the initial vinyl release of the groundbreaking debut Hiatus Kaiyote EP 'Tawk Tomahawk' in 2013 for the first piece of original material commercially available under his solo project.

When SKALPEL was releasing their debut album on Ninja Tune in 2004, Poland was just accessing the European Union and NME described the music duo as an exotic oddity from a faraway land. After 10 years and with 2 nu-jazz classic albums under their belt ("Skalpel" and "Konfusion") that put Poland on the electronic genre map. SKALPEL, well respected and recognized is back with a new release in yet again an important moment in history when the Polish Prime Minister becomes the new European Council President .

On their previews releases SKALPEL "resurrected the dusty and smoky spirit of 60s and 70s Polish Jazz and then re-imagined it for 21st century audiophiles". The new album TRANSIT shows that the producers' imagination takes them much further beyond Polish inspirations creating a truly international blend. They do not limit themselves to Europe but also reach for music of American continents and take a journey across Asia. Eastern European melancholy intertwines with Mediterranean warmth.Transit is about transition - from one music genre to another, from sample-based music to programming and electronic production, from black and white to full colour spectrum, from dark to bright, form low-fi to hi-fi. Finally from Ninja Tune to their own imprint PlugAudio.

Transit is about communication: conquering literally borders between countries but also metaphorically between music styles the world over. It's about communicating with fans through emotions, feeling and soul.

To describe the music one could use: ambient, swing, latin, cinematic, trip-hop, easy-listening, broken beat but the key word is really VIBES. In music instrument context, there are a lot of vibraphone parts on it but also in terms of ambience, there are plenty of good vibes.

Basic House is the solo electronics project of Stephen Bishop, a mainstay of the DIY scene in the UK's North East and the brain behind the label Opal Tapes. Bishop works with equipment both rudimentary and highly technical which become aligned together without bias to create a singular sound that focuses on decay, stagnation and apathy towards clichés within the current climate of electronic music. Oats is his new full-length record with 6 deep compositions woven together to create seamless transitions between them. AR II opens the record with fragile and haunted electronics before developing into something almost melodic with an imposing 4/4 kick. Child Confession follows with dead electronic hums, whispered samples and a sluggish half speed techno thud which gives way to a collage of cruddy noise and scalpel sharp bursts of clatter and a crude non-rhythmic bass pulse before ending in the buzzing maelstrom of Interiors which is equal parts Florian Hecker and Andy Stott at his most visceral. Est Oan begins the second half of the record ominously with slightly absurd farmyard groans that eventually melt into hypnotic machine music. The industrial lurch of B.G. Feathers is closest Bishop comes on this side to hitting anything resembling a groove on this side and instead evokes the grinding power of Maurizio Bianchi's best 80's material. Best known as half of post-classical / electronica duo Piano Interrupted, London based French producer Franz Kirmann goes back to his electronic roots with 'Meridians', his second album, due out on Denovali Records next July. Strongly influenced by movies (he used to be a film editor and filmmakers Wong Kar Wai, Michelangelo Antonioni, Sergio Leone or David Lynch are happily cited alongside his musical influences), Franz Kirmann has a weakness for walls of sounds and fragile melodies, which to him are the sonic equivalent of slow-motion sequences, travelling shots or landscapes in cinemascope. While his first album - Random Access Memories (released in June 2011) - was a sort of compilation of music he'd written since 2005, 'Meridians' is a more consistent proposition where tracks were put together using the same technique of assembling tiny audio snippets and samples with a strong emotional content (from a pop vocal to an orchestral extract) and transforming them beyond recognition, to then assemble them and create something new and unique. Music was then composed from the resulting sampling manipulation, adding layers of vintage synthesizers, drum machines and granular soundscapes and resulting in a sound that could be best described as a meeting point between an 80's synthesizer soundtrack and a post-modern electronic record. The album title ""Meridians"" comes from the Chinese medicine's belief in the Meridian network, a path through which the life-energy flows. The album has a strong sense of an internal journey, the music being both an invitation to introversion and reverie but also suggesting an epic voyage. The meridians could be regarded as vessels carrying emotions, souvenirs, thoughts, travelling through the body and mind, provoking a voyage through one's own life without the need for movement. Nods to the 7th art are not only found in the sound and feel of the album but also in its titles. Each of them suggest a story or moment while remaining vague enough to let the listener fills the blanks. CD: digipak. Producer and boss of Mathematics records, Jamal Moss a.k.a Hieroglyphic Being is a one-off musical explorer. Jamal's music takes cues from the EBM and House that played a huge part in the city's musical underground in the late eighties and early nineties, notably Ron Hardy and Adonis, but also Industrial, Avant-Jazz and Noise. His tireless schedule of rough low-key releases over the last 12 years and his intense, very physical, psychedelic music, have made him a key exponent or maybe even a pioneer of what's recently come to be named 'Outsider House', although he prefers the more Sun-Ra like descriptors of 'Rhythmic Cubism' and 'Cosmic Be-Bop'.

His releases, much like his music, have straddled House labels and the more leftfield avant garde electronic imprints with ease. However his deeply held Afrofuturist intent and the discipline of his radical designs set him apart from the pack. Always moving forward, his music is an ever-evolving transmission from his mind to our bodies, or as he sees it, a form of meditation that the supple, tuned listener will enjoy immensely. 'The Seer Of Cosmic Visions' is a collection of tracks from his back catalogue that have been selected to make this album. Remastered by Michael Kuhn at Berlin's Dubplates and Mastering. The album is hugely varied within it's basic drum machine and synths template; from the psychedelic blowout 'The Seer Of Cosmic Visions' and the distorted, ruptured crunch of 'How Wet Is Ur Box', to more delicate meditations like 'Space Is The Place' or 'Letters From The Edge'. From the the shimmering rhythmic noise of 'A Genre Sonique' to the the woozy tribal funk of '134340 Pluto' or the rough darting strings of the off-kilter 'Calling Planet Earth' and finishing on the relaxing gaseous drones of 'Strange Signs In The Sky', the album never fails to transport the listener to another state of mind.

Adventurous Belgian percussionist Eric Thielemans makes a fairly unusual entry into the Miasmah catalogue with the surprisingly positive sounding, solo percussion album Sprang. Thielemans has actually appeared on the label earlier - as guest percussionist on Kreng´s debut album L´Autopsie Phenomenal De Dieu. Although you can recognize the sound on this record, the main focus of Sprang is to revert to the pure joy of sound experimentation and letting go of your foothold

A portrait is a way to stop time and catch emotions and feelings; to transpose this concept in music I picked up my real instrument, the classical guitar,and starting to create the musical core of each track; taking inspiration from my childhood I tried to recreate that quiet atmosphere recording the sound of almost every object in my parent's house, mixing them with electronica and with my classical roots.

Xosar's new release for Valcrond Video marks the onset of a darker, more dungeons & dragons oriented point of view. The four tracks feature both propulsive, doom-laden beats and expansive drum-free dream spaces. These sounds, appropriate for perved-out DJs and depressed teens alike, trace a narrative of pursuit, captivity, and erotic exsanguination.
