After messing about with vinyl, Ableton and music in general for more than 10 years, Dyzz from The Illuminated decided it's time to take 'matters' into his own hands:

Introducing Degenerate Music - a label focused on bass heavy, chest rattlin', floor shaking & dub influenced soundsystem music - starting off 2020 with his inaugural and sharply curated 040 - 010 EP.

On "That Side" we can find 2 sought after VIP's from the duo Dyzz & Rebus, better known as The Illuminated. Both originals Scavenger & Eindhoviah have been released on New Moon Recordings, the deeper / techy sister label from the Moonshine camp and Underslung Audio (digi only). Scavenger got picked up early by the likes of Skream & Benga (BBC1 Extra radio premiere), Joe Nice (cut on dub), N-type & Walsh (Rinse.fm) and more. Eindhoviah became a warehouse dub for the gentlemen and close friends. The VIP's go way beyond the originals, fulfilling the gunfinger reload requests from the last few years.

On "This Side" we find another Scavenger version, this one fully locked on the triplets and loaded with some vocal samples from a galaxy far far away. Last but not least, Eindhoviah gets the young gun Hebbe treatment, this one's for the heads.

You Can't Defeat Her, When You Meet Her You'll Get What I Said B2 Marlon Hoffstadt - 2000MG Floating Info: Retrograde returns late September with 'In Reverse Pt.1', a various artist package featuring Matteo Luis, Natureboy Gold, Terron and Marlon Hoffstadt. Berlin based imprint Retrograde marks its fith release here and once again welcomes back a selection of the collective recording artists already featured on the label such as label head-honcho Natureboy Gold, FFRR/Play It Down artist Marlon Hoffstatd, also co-founder of the label and tipped as a Future Star by Pete Tong on Radio 1. Matteo Luis also makes a return following appearances on two EP's for the label prior to this, while an exciting addition to the catalogue comes in the shape of Terron, most notably known for their work with Young Turks sub-label WHITIES. Up first on the release is Matteo Luis' 'Out Here' setting the tone with ethereal pad swells, organic rhythms and choppy bass hits while a soft and brooding melodic tension subtly unwinds throughout the composition. Natureboy Gold's 'Eternal' follows and employs a similarly airy synth feel while introducing a robust tom- driven rhythmic approach to create an understated dance-floor focused contribution. Opening the flip is Terron's cryptically named 'No.57, You Can't Defeat Her, When You Meet Her You'll Get What I Said' which drops the tempo to a low slung feel with dubbed out bass licks, bumpy percussion and spiraling bass drones to create something idiosyncratic and psychedelic. Marlon Hoffstadt steps up to round off the package next with '2000MG Floating' delivering a raw energetic workout with soaring 80's tinged leads, snaking bass grooves and frenetic percussion.

Orbital 002 Hot off the heels of their successful first release 'Opposite Visions', Orbital London make a second statement with 'Coopers Dubz EP'. Sidewinding in on the A side is label front man, Jack Michael. 'Never Said That' is a familiar sound we have come to expect from the young talent, warm, and born to be heard loud. A bit lighter on its feet, with a definite spring in its step is fellow UK artist Harry Wills' interpretation of 'Never Said That'. Juicy by name, and juicy by nature. Kicking off the B side with a 'Clout' is Wills again, with a much darker outlook. A tight garage groove that packs a punch. The 2nd vinyl from Gets Harder series is opened on A side by Barbitura's tech step track Movin' followed by Electrosoul System tongue twister track with vocal by Sunnet. The B side starts from a jungle track by Electrosoul System and the closing tune for this vinyl is a psychodelic drum & bass with elements of trap and vocal on a nonexisting language by Julia Marks - presented by Motorheadz. Pure and solid sound of drums and basslines will surely groove any dance floor or sound system at any time of day or night.

Slam City Jams is back with it's second release, produced by young Brussel based artist Kassett. This multi-talented dude not only makes great music, but also does visual arts (look at that amazing fanzine coming with the record) and has his own label & artist collective called Midlife. Kassett aka Gavin Vanælst isn't about genres, but about emotions when it comes to his music. However, asking him what he would call the sound he makes, his simple answer is: - Rave Ambient'. The 'All I Feel 1 Million EP' is a record full of diversity. It reaches from emotional and dreamy, arp-based ambient tracks with rave and trance references, to broken beats, weird synth solos, up to a rough but melodious techno tune. Finally the cherry on top of this special EP, is a remix by Lobster Theremin regular Imre Kiss. He delivered a dark and dubby version of the A2, that sounds like it was recorded underwater.

The opener, Got A Dream', bubbles up from submerged atmospheres, as a crisp, rattling break fights its way through the fog. martianMan once again shows off his ear for textures, subtle vocals fade in and out of an entrancing, bottomless pad. A dark-meets-light journey through the cosmos.

Amber Fields' comes straight from the halcyon days of the mid-90's intelligent movement. A light, rolling Hot Pants break gives way to a myriad of pads, strings and bleeps, each element shifting neatly throughout the fold. Fans of the Good Looking vibe would do well to pick up this piece of subtle, understated beauty.

Ltd Vinyl Only release. With a vast new number of record labels surfacing during the ongoing resurgence of vinyl, it's now up to Green King Cuts to bring its own history in dub-minded bass music. The CEOs Jake Hennessy and Liam Conway, who grew up together, will do what's necessary to bring their values and those of their artists to a vinyl-only rundown - all for the love of sound-system music. The London born, Bristol based C-Side plays an important role in the first chapter of the label's future outline. He has been focusing on the aesthetics of dubstep for years and is known for his enthusiasm within the whole creative process. The sound he blazons has overtaken international waters and now it's time for his inaugural vinyl release. Its remixed by DEEP MEDi igniter Cessman, known for his anthemic collaboration with 'King' Kromestar called 'Kalawanji'. The bass veteran and front-man of the Dubliminal imprint never fails to deliver a quality remix treatment that forms an ode to uplifting dub music. 'Early Days Dub' pays homage to the golden era of dubstep, containing hits of dubwise elements, a ruff bassline and the all but vital amount of delay. C-side explores the foundation of the music by incorporating a beautiful alto saxophone sting from a close friend that fuels the nostalgic feeling of old-school dub. The London born, Bristol based artist uplifts a vibe that comes close to system sound. Cessman blurs the original dub version with a lot of wet reverb and an even weightier bassline. All present elements swirl around its foundation freely, giving the solid percussion and vocal sample the right place in time. There's no harm done when this built is played out loud in foggy basements. In fact it will bring forth the feeling of an old-school session purely for a skank & inner meditation.

"Rundgång"(Feedback in Swedish) is a track made with feedback and i would call it A.O.T's very own and personal interpretation of Dubstep with "lyrics"that reflects his wicked sense of humor.
"Woot!"on the other hand is an evil excursion in filtered frequency noises and a distorted start/stop rhythm and this is nothing for the faint hearted so brace yourself you are in for a crazy trip verging on Techno.
The " (Go Koyashiki Remix)"takes remixing to another level because Go has stripped "Rundgång"to it's bare essentials and produced a very minimal and slow pulsating track that ends with sublime pianoplaying.

Die Orakel presents two reinterpretations by Edward of Krautrock excursions - originally recorded by Harmonia and Brian Eno in 1973 and 1976. Harmonia is a Krautrock/Kosmische Musik group from Germany - formed as a collaboration of Michael Rother of Neu!, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Möbius of Cluster 1973. In the same year, the song Sehr Kosmisch' was released on the band's debut album Musik von Harmonia". In September 1976 Brian Eno and Harmonia then collaborated and recorded Atmosphere' at the band's studio in Forst, Germany. However, the song was not released until 1997 as the tape was considered lost for almost twenty years. Who would be more suitable to remix original Krautrock material than Gilles Aiken, better known as Edward Considering his latest productions, Edward mostly works within house and techno templates while echoing Krautrock figures like Connie Plank. He is recognized for producing filigree club tracks that come with a spiritual edge. Over the years, this combination has made him a mainstay of Berlin's White label as well as Weimar's esteemed Giegling crew.

as Cut Hands and the release of the album Afro Noise Vol.1. His sophomore full-length in this guise, Black Mamba, is due out
on Susan Lawly in Autumn; to herald its arrival, Blackest Ever Black is releasing it's thunderous title track as a 12" maxi single.

On the A-side Africa's deadliest, most beautiful snake breeds with insane, vaudou-obsessive polyrhythms to give birth to
the monstrous, consuming, convulsive 'Black Mamba' - without doubt the most potent manifestation of Cut Hands' malign

last year's Siberia: Krokodil Tears documentary.

The killer 1981 cassette only release “Here” by COLIN POTTER, is expanded to a double LP with all sorts of additional bonus material released for a first time here. Ace new sleeve art is from Jonathan Coleclough who was behind the artistic reins of the initial Mirage cassette release 38 years ago.

You probably know by now that Colin is the head behind respected electronic label ICR, and is a longterm member of NWW and has played with the likes of Current 93 and Organum etc; and that his revered back catalogue of hugely influential cassette only, DIY electronic releases is slowly being transferred to vinyl via the likes of (PY sister label) Deep Distance and Dark Entries?

“Here” continues the reissue programme, and as he pieced together the out-takes and demos to form this double LP, Colin says “’Here’ marked a move away from some of the more song-orientated music I had been making up to then, towards purely instrumental tracks. On the (new) sleeve I describe it as ‘rural electronic music’ which was to some extent a reflection of my life in a small village in North Yorkshire. Listening back to it now, I can’t figure out how I managed to do it with just a 4 track recorder....”
