Exclusive Vinyl Releases - News

We here at Silence In Metropolis are very excited to bring you our second Vinly only VA release with some heavy tracks from an eclectic group of talent.

This release kicks off on Side A with west coast based underground craftsman Pezzner who brings us "Devil's Advocate" which is an organic dark, moody, percussive exploration that is both artistic as it is dance floor ready. Sascha Dive returns to SIM and brings his signature deep house vibe on "Chez Groove" that will make any house head move.

Sibe B brings the London break out artist James Dexter to SIM with "Inside," a deep cut featuring a heart throbbin bassline, a kick and snare combo that chugs with anthem like vocal hits... must have for a deep set! The final cut is a classic deep house masterpiece called "Nine" delivered by the Italian duo Marsupials that has everything we love about house, deep chords and pads, a solid bottom end, and a healthy arpeggio to keep things grooving.

A four track vinyl package that we're confident any underground enthusiast will appreciate!

First release of the Roof Records Label of Isernia. The vinyl, produced by our resident DJ Lucio, is the first of a long series. Inspired by the first techno sounds of the 90s and the most innovative sounds of recent year , Lucio brings out 4 sensational tracks, capable of transporting the listener over this period of time. From high-handed acid rhythms to ambient intramures, from funky / blues melodies to Detroit-style melodies. This is how the record is composed and everything is based on the classic Roland 808 and 909 drum machines. Don't miss it.
Only 200 copies, no reprints.

2000 AND ONE (aka Dylan Hermelijn) has been on the forefront of electronic dance music since the late eighties. His pioneering vision across more than two decades of music genres now ranks him as one of the most versatile, in-demand international artists, commanding weekly performances on the house, techno and tech-house global club and festival circuits.

Not only recognized as a magnet for the clubbing crowds, he is also credited for championing the sounds of Amsterdam's new school DJ and Producer generation and propelling the scene's visibility into the international club headlights with his six Amsterdam based labels, of which the oldest, 100% Pure, celebrated its 20-year anniversary in 2013.

Now 2000 and One strikes again with his cutting edge signature style presenting Kawasaki' EP, paying homage to the struggle for power within the samurai clans (1051-1063) in Japan, known as the battle of Kawasaki.

Title track Kawasaki', is a peak time Techno tune to slice the dance floor into pieces. The yet smoother solid groove of Organic' has an authentic Detroit Techno sound apt to building a set.

I am very excited to celebrate Terminal M's 20. anniversary this year! Whoooohooo!

We are happy to present the Terminal M debut of longtime friend Felix Kröcher, who's one of the leading techno djs from Germany, headlining festival after festival and convincing every week with his highly influential radio show on Sunshine Live.

Terminal M head honcha Monika Kruse is equally happy that shootingstar Victor Ruiz from Brasil found the time for an amazing remix which also Felix Kröcher played in his sets the whole summer.

G76 establishes a sonic universe that dares to immerse you with a piercing and powerful tone on his latest EP for Naural - Giarmata Plutonium. His electronic arrangements are enriched with seductive energy, delivering a straight-forward sound that reveals modern minimal-tech templates.

“A good colonel is hard to find” introduces a hollowed-out groove with eventual vocal shadings and glitchy modular accents providing the ear candy.

“Unmark my words” is a chunky four-to-the-floor track with tantalizing details like ascending bleeps, precisely arranged snares and drum hits, but as it builds, delirious synth spiral in a maddeningly intricate manner.

There's a satisfying groove and dynamic to “Forzza verbos” - a perfect minimalist setup of a percussion loop & throbbing bassline, almost intimidatingly heady.

“Warrior not soldier” is a full-flavoured G76 track, orchestrating different tonal bleeps, vocal snatches and a medley of sounds -. a perfect match for the club's bottom-heavy system.

Naural 009 comes with a bunch of exclusive ingredients—go cook something.

MOTHER RECORDINGS welcome SIMION back for his 3rd EP. A hello of a three track EP entitled AIR JORDAN. This artist has really made a big impression over the last couple of years with releases on labels like Snatch!, Suara and his own imprint Hedonism.
The title track AIR JORDAN goes first and is seven minutes of face melting house, full with ecstasy and uplifting female vocal that makes your hands raise in the air!

Then comes SOUL TRIPPIN feat. the legendary ROLAND CLARK on the mic, a tougher and rougher house tune with wooden drum sounds, freaky vocals that are expertly treated and loopy sub bass that really pulls you in. Add some fire vocals and spoken words that really set things off and you have a sure fire winner.

The waiting is over!

We're happy & excited to bring you this massive new release entitled ''Do You Like it'' by the Israeli duo Soulfeed. It includes remixes which shed a different light on the original mix.

First, the original mix produced by Soulfeed gives rise to both very powerful but at the same time subtle tones. Combined with the playful groove that spans the entire track, this mix will measure up to any occasion!

The remix by the NTFO's guys retains the powerful notes from the original mix but allows the track to evolve into a more intense acid like style.

Daniel Dubb takes his mix into a different direction by transforming the sound into a deeper tone. He showcases how deeply the track can become all the while keeping a very organic sound.
David Keno's remix stands in the middle ground of each of the tracks described above by stretching the sound towards a increasingly tech direction which gives the track an interesting up beat perspective.

In other words, this release showcases how one track can tack so many different paths all the while retaining the original root of the mix. It speaks to how varied house music can be and we like it that way! Do you

‘Empirical Test Vol. I - VA’, our very first release, it’s finally out. Let us show you our minimalistic sonic lab. We believe in tracks for the dancefloor with an eye in experimental and introspective views of electronic music. A1. ‘Frics’ is probably the most well-known work here. Developed by Romanian talent Cojoc it has become a serious festival banger thanks to a killer bassline mixed with an aggressive synthesizer which remains a machine gun. A2. ‘Mal So Mal So’ arrives directly from Switzerland. Produced by Marques Sigi mixing spatial and analog sounds with an exquisite modular electronic sequence. The rhythm is marked by catchy kicks and swift hi hats plus some straightforward pads and effects. Classy and harmonious. B1. ‘Space Runner’ involves Angel Mosteiro and Joel Vazquez —part of Bohrium crew— premiering his first production as Akela. In this track the duo propose breaky atmospheres, rhythmic movements full of textures in a complete sequence of energetic synthesizers. The melody makes you traveling into a sonic, organic and hypnotic deepness. B2. ‘The Muggles’ by Panamanian producer Avidel proposes a playful, funny and easygoing track. Twisted basslines, fresh summer beats, nice grooves, and good vibes.

Early support by Priku, Gescu, Sepp, Nu Zau, Lizz, Miroloja, Macarie and some more.

Daniel Broesecke teams up again with old friend Silat Beksi and their signature style of smooth and playful techno is guaranteed to make your feet move instantly.

In this release on Particular, a sub-label of Vivus that that is chasing a distinct sound, Daniel and Silat are creating a dreamy soundscape that will reach both the soul and the mind.

Holy Beats EP kicks things off in style, with the track that gives the title. Wasting no time, a thrilling bassline makes its appereance on the first beat and you this will be a no nonsense techno track. As moments go by, more elements are added to this powerful journey until it morfs into a truly industrial techno masterpiece.

On the second part of the EP we are Trapped In some mesmerising sounds with a strong layer of direct bass lines. Again, there is no nonsense here – a linear journey, taking us above and beyond and a perfect tune to get you moving on the dancefloor.

For the 20 years of Terminal M I am happy to present some special releases this year.

Luca Morris & Mozzy Rekorder deliver us a great techno version of the longtime house classic „Gypsy Woman“. Since last year this version ruled every set of mine. (Monika Kruse)

San Francisco’s Manjumasi makes its first foray into wax with the vinyl-only release of History Ate Itself by San Francisco producer and label alumnus R. Fentz. First up on the A-side is the title track - a complex and textured piece, full of intricate percussion and sonic detail. The track evokes a sense of journey, with synth pads building and working through stages of crescendo and release. A percussive, punchy bassline holds steady throughout, giving a sense of time pushing ever-forwards.

Next up on the AA is Glitter, a more light-hearted number with a friendly and inquisitive disposition. As a counterpoint to the urgency and insistence of History, here R. Fentz uses delicate, gentle touches to create an inviting, warm atmosphere. The bubbly groove has a delightfully playful bounce that washes over the listener, with sparkling synth details float over the silky groove as the track works its way forward.

On the flip side, Ukrainian producer Silat Beksi takes on remix duties and delivers a supremely heady and tasteful reworking of Glitter. His version builds a soft bed of pads over a punchy groove. A very tasty dub-filtered synth groove slowly works its way into the mix. The result is a complex and organic sonic tapestry with no shortage of sparkle and shine, but plenty of subterranean depth. Yet another extremely solid offering in this sought-after producer’s vinyl-only catalog.

Over the B Side we have Dusty MicroHead as first, which is beautiful long run of pure micro-house with a subtle hypnotic vibe that slowly evolves into a fantastic sonic experience with a stunning low-end work. And for last is Spacey, a Dub infused track extracts sounds from intricated resonances, synths and intriguing vocal reflections immersed in strong atmospheric reverbs. A truly master piece from Daniel that shows the true versatility of this Amsterdam based legend.

Trench return to Roush to deliver four fresh productions, whilst Parisian Phil Weeks offers up a classy remix on
the flip.
Title cut 'The Foundation' opens the EP and sees Trench layer organic percussion shots and delicate hats
under an ever-evolving synth lead, before 'Blow The Back Out' unveils a drum infused workout, laying down
tough rolling kicks amongst quirky vocal shots.
Next up, 'Turn You Around' transports listeners to sunnier territories as an influx of bright pads and soulful vocal
hooks work in tandem with garage tinged interludes, whilst Weeks' interpretation introduces the Frenchman's
trademark skipping drums and effortless groove throughout.
For digital purchasers, Trench also offers a dubbed out version of the title track as 'The Dubnation' skillfully lays
the focus on a low-slung groove line and murky undertones.
