Coming soon, the new e.p. from Konstantin Sibold on Snork Enterprises! What about him Born in Stuttgart in 1987, grew up with hip hop music, high school in fine arts, study of aviation and space technology, teacher of drums and percussion, active as a drummer in a classical orchestra, co-founder and artworker of the renowned Common Sense People event series & resident DJ at the club Rocker 33 in Stuttgart, music repertoire includes hip hop, pop, indiependent, folk, classical and electronic music. His musical design can be best described as opposites attract with attention to the everlasting basic principle: As little as possible, as much as necessary or better: if no girl is dancing, I've made something wrong! Noisy and clear, functional and strange, stereotyped and unconventional, wide and narrow, stereo and mono. Sampling takes precedence over the programming of sounds, every element must have a function and must be internally consistent, vinyl is the sample source and acts as patina supplier, Presetsound-"not"-sound is absolutely taboo. Everything stands or falls with the sound of the elements used. These need to fuse together to a foundation, where your first impression can sit. Is this
foundation given, you get things deliberately to collapse. The arrangement is derived from the items that are available and not the other way around.

As we come upon Still Play Records 6th vinyl release, we welcome Amsterdam's Odette to the roster as she crafts February's narrative of love with her Love Story EP'.
Odette captures warm and emphatic synth arrangements and jazzy basslines tying them into crisp, club-ready kicks and percussion. 3 new age ballads ready for the dancefloor each with their own unique dreaminess that commands the listener into a trance and implores them to be a part of the love story. microcastle’s third offering of 2020 welcomes Ivory back to the label for a new EP. Based in Milan, Italian artist Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory brings a surreal beauty to his innovative brand of electronic composition. As a perpetual favourite of Adriatique, Ame, Dixon, Lehar, Tale Of Us, Toto Chiavetta and Trikk, Ivory made his microcastle debut in July of last year with ‘No Scale Can Resize You’. Rising to #1 in Beatport Indie Dance and Melodic House & Techno, the release received praise from both his contemporaries and fans alike. Carrying momentum forward, 2020 has yielded significant creative successes for Daniel. The release of ‘Dreamers’ via Innervisions and ‘Hold Your Breath’ via Multinotes have proven to be two of the year’s most well received tracks. Now fresh off a remix for L.K.F Project via AZZUR, Ivory makes a welcome return to microcastle with ‘Light Through Water’.

As a much-requested track from Ivory’s sets, it is the arcane wonder ‘Time Lapse’ which gets the EP underway. Rhythmically buoyant, it’s rippling low end, kaleidoscopic synths and fiery percussion set the release on a course for aural enlightenment. Although best known for his warmer, musical prowess; it is the wintry quality of ‘Quartz’ which follows, placing Ivory in the unique spot of also being able to craft starker, more rhythmic compositions. A highlight in the sets of Trikk, it’s peculiar blend of titanium kicks, icy refrains and hypnagogic synthscapes set the stage for the robust muscularity of ‘Steam Machine’. A recent favourite of Toto Chiavetta, this austere, machine-funk delight appears to be set for dance floor destruction.

Moving forward yet stripping things back are the hypno grooves of ‘Minderals’. Another creation championed by Trikk; it’s slow burning drawl, percussive splashes and pyrotechnic synth design are perfect for the more astute connoisseur. The twisted echoes which lurk in ‘Minderals’ are decayed further still on the following number ‘Eufrat’, a track where Ivory’s elastic grooves and metallic sonics are set against a backdrop of pixie-like effects.

Trending towards the grandiose is the title selection ‘Light Through Water’. Pitched somewhere comfortably between dreamy reverie and symphonic bliss, it’s a piece equally at home above a festival skyline or sitting in the emotional sweet spot of an end of the night scenario. Captivating and poignant in equal measure, it’s widescreen nature tastefully melts down into the fluid tranquility of ‘Arpstairs’. Ivory flexes his borderless versatility here, as notes ring out into timeless suspension, while a gentle flurry of arpeggiated tones sweep their way across a bed of broken rhythms.

Ivory’s multifaceted ‘Light Through Water’ is a set of bold, synthesizer symphonies; a seven-act story showcasing a special talent whose unique sonic aesthetic continues to flourish.

DJ and production outfit NiCe7 are Italy-based Nicola Daniele and Cesare Marocco and they have been making big tunes on the likes of Suara, Noir Music, Cr2 and more.

First up, Groove Key is a big vocal tune that builds suspense on chunky drums. When the impassioned vocal breaks out, and the bass line joins the party, the club is sure to blow up.

Go Back is a slow burner that will have the floor in raptures. Disco house loops, funky bass riffs and lush claps all build and build to a frantic peak. Almighty Berlin’s No. 1 House label Mother Recordings welcome hottest Italian export Brokenears to their latest team. With a phenomenal and breakthrough year in 2019 they kick off 2020 with their debut EP Friday Night at Nhan Solo ́s imprint Mother Recordings. Newrhythmic Records presents a new Various Artist on vinyl that gathers the talent of great producers in an impressive moment and brings it together in four purely Techno cuts that combine energetic patterns with hypnotic atmospheres.

Alexander Kowalski opens the EP under his alias "Disx3", with which he distills "Phobos", the sharpest track on the album. A poisoned pattern takes over the theme while saturated percussion turns it into a hurricane.

Joton signs the second song "Flashing Darkness". The Newrhythmic capo gives us a good dose of low frequencies combining power and melancholy with a hypnotic synthesizer that splashes the track cyclically.

On the back of their critically acclaimed 'Oblivion' EP, from which 'Sensation' was named one of the techno tracks of 2016 by Mixmag, Monika Kruse rejoins her brothers-from-another-mother Pig&Dan for another electrifying two-track EP.

Both tracks - 'Get Me On' and 'So Good' featured in her celebrated debut Essential Mix that aired on April 1 and have highlighted the iconic techno artist's sets over the past month, everywhere from Time Warp to her wildly popular b2b with Andrea Oliva at Boiler Room Madrid in March.

Produced during an inspired couple of days in Mallorca with Pig&Dan in January, both records are explosive techno weapons built for the peaktime and propelled by a stunning warehouse stomp. 'Get Me On' is a driving affair from the outset, powered by a compelling mainroom groove that's gradually immersed in exhilarating cyclone swirls of melody. 'So Good' is as delectable as its name, characterized by a roaring buildup that's drawn out dramatically for much of its 8-minute running time, working in tandem with several carefully deployed breakdowns. Moteka is back with 'Rise Of The Machines’ announcing his debut album on Skryptöm 'As We Fought Iron Giants', scheduled for July 1st. Our Kiwi brother DILBY was on fire in 2018. He delivered 2 EP's on MOTHER RECORDINGS and managed to secure back to back Top 10 hits with each release. Well, if this new EP is any indication, 2019 is going to be even bigger!

Up first is „Rio Grande“. A club destroying dance floor heater that features DILBY ́s signature drum filled tribalism on top of a punchy, grooving sub bass. Of course it wouldn't be a DILBY jam without a catchy sing-along vocal which brings even more ethnic flavour to this hedonistic afro workout!

On the flip we are treated to an energetic house bomb titled „Keep On Dancing“. For the 15 years of Terminal M festivities it was a sure step to also get back into our catalogue and obviously listened to the older releases again. And it quickly came to our mind that Monika Kruses @ Voodooamt's classic 'Passengers' album from 2003 still is a true gem. So we reworked and remastered the whole album and asked close friends to select a track they wanted to remix. Oliver Huntemann, Alberto Ruiz and Skober immediately agreed and surprised us with their great new interpretations.

Italian artist Future 16 is back with a new vision of abstract, out of
this world techno, and shares this lovely piece of wax with one of top techno producers from Poland - Larix, who delivers an intense percussive journey for our 18th chapter of Counter Pulse Series.

The ever in-form Endlec is here on remix duties with an explosive 136BPM remix of "The Counter", and our good old friend Sev Dah produces an intelligent techno groover of Larix's "Tart".

All beautifully mastered by Counter Pulse in-house engineer Mattias Fridell, this release has already passed the tests on some of the worlds best dance floors.

ER004 sees Enclave Records really hit its stride with a four-track EP from Gessture. Having been tipped off about this talented newcomer by a close friend of the label, we were massively impressed by the demos we received and knew instantly that we wanted to be the ones to release their debut EP.

Though each of the tracks carry significant weight on their own, the EP delivers even greater satisfaction when consumed as a whole, straight-up house stylings of the deepest variety, trick two-step swing and a fresh take on old-school bleep and bass all lovingly bump against each other, effortlessly unified by the spacey sonics destined to become Gessture's calling card.

If a rewarding sense of cohesion is the first thing that strikes you about the EP, the second is likely to be just how versatile these tracks are. As with all the best things, there's pleasure to be had in placing it in different contexts and that's certainly the case here. Pitched up or down, feathered into something muscular or slipped out of towards something more contemplative, this one's got you covered.

For our new release, our dreamteam for conceptual techno music have come up once again with two tracks perfectly incorporating their signature sound, which originated over eight years ago on their first release. Many landmark productions later on labels such as Music Man, Cocoon or our sisterlabel Break New Soil, we are happy to have them back - and boy, did they deliver! The second vinyl only release by Secret Keywords is a split record combining firstly two production versions by label head
Gianmarco Silvetti and Dahraxt. The second half or flip side is an original production from Giordanø alongside a remix from Conrad Van Orton.

Gianmarco's opening version of "Interstellar Cowboy" is made of stern stuff. Blistering claps, spaced out acid and an old school flare give this a unique feel.

Fellow Berliner, Dahraxt aka Mannella runs PicNic34 and its sublabel JTseries that has included contributions from Blawan, Sunil Sharpe for example.
Track two is his take on "Interstellar Cowboy" opting for a bubbling bassline with wild, looping samples, obscure textures but with a clear dance floor influence.

Giordanø is an Italian artist who has released music Illegal Alien, Affekt and Granulart.
His original track "Shimmer Mist" works a menacing gritty, analogue hook with a solid groove. Fairly stripped back and functional this is proper DJ weapon.

Conrad Van Orton rounds off the artists on this release. His remix of "Shimmer Mist" adds a more streamlined approach with a driving pulse. Additional deep chords add a classy melodic touch, but don't be fooled, this is a powerful masterpiece of sound architecture.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Julian is back on Eliptic for the 5th release of the label - Mind Blowing Thoughts EP - with four powerful tracks.

The first track of the release "Reflection" it's a dance floor monster, driven by a repetitive voice and buried into the darkness of an amazing bass line. The A side is completed with "Outer Limits", a truly wonderful track that drives you into the unknown: "Dream!"

"Thoughts Bistro" on B side keeps the line of the release, it's going deep in our mind with the repetitive voices and glitches while "Sativa" is like a late night trip that closes out this fantastic mini-adventure.

In the constant search for that special sound and quirky vibe, Particular is back with its third installment and the culprit is none other than Romanian prodigy Lumieux.

Lumieux, or Răzvan by his real name, has been an important name in the Romanian underground scene for a couple of years now. He has played at important venues such as Guesthouse in Bucharest, Midi in Cluj or the legendary Fabric in London with appereances at household festivals such as Sunwaves, Waha or Mioritmic.

We’re off to a smooth and steady start on this vinyl-only release with Bedrock, a track that really sets the mood perfectly with its off-the-wall percussions and linear bass line. Add to this a strong layer of idiosyncratic sounds in the background and you got a perfect warm-up recipe.

The eerie feeling only gets more tenacious as we advance to Tormen Tape. Get on board and prepare for some outer-space sounds at the beginning only for this track to truly expand as it picks up pace. The bass gets stronger by the second and layer upon layer of peculiar elements get thrown in, everything mixing in to create the perfect storm of a track.

The overlapping bass lines hit you right away on the last track, Excalibur. An uncanny voice soon takes over and a cosmic 10-minute journey truly begins, cementing Excalibur as a strong and complex piece of music, always demanding the listener’s attention and constantly evolving.

When experience teams up with new talent, the result can positively surprising. Borgò and Nicolas Duvoisin found some common ground in the deeper shades of the electronic world. White box is a lovely balanced contrast between loops of hypnotic keys and twisted vocal confusion, carried along by a solid dry compact driving beat. Eagervision is back with a bang a year after its first vinyl-only release. This new compilation pushes the quality even higher, merging four top-notch tracks from some of the label’s top producers, each one bringing a special touch to it while following a common leitmotif of crisp, futuristic, house beats.

Alffie has been perfecting a fresh and original minimal sound that is exemplified in the opening track “Be Bop”, a flawless piece of quality modern house music. The energic A-Side continues with ‘Directionless’ by Leeds’ producer Pük, a middle-of-the-night microhouse tune that feels ready to smash the dancefloor.

On the B-Side the sound gets calmer, but also deeper. The affirmed Romanian producer Octave dives deep in a collaboration with a new face for Eagervision, Specter, while the Italo-Romanian duo Nedeea close the LP in style with the mysterious ‘Suflet’.

There’s no doubt: Eagervision is taking it to the next level, perfecting its sound and contributing to innovating the scene by telling a story with every single release.
