Vinyl only - Silky and smooth like a fox, Crihan makes his way through on Catren's third release with "Fabulistul". Eerily creeping through, "Fuse si se duse" tells a tale of fleeting forest creatures roaming at night with a classical percussion driven tool that hits just the rights spots for warming up the dancefloor with bouts of shy melodies and a beautifuly constructed drum track. Sweet and simple, just like we like it.

On the flip side, "Corbul si vulpea" moves things further into groovier waters with a bassline that pulls you deep into the track's inner workings with delayed dub stabs, haunting melodies and chilling vocals coming in from the woodwork.

Ideal Audio presents the fourth and final instalment of Oliver Huntemann and Dubfire's seminal ELEMENTS series. These techno heavyweights have worked together on numerous projects over the years, but it is their Elements collaborations that have shone impressively as a complete body of work. AGUA is the final piece of the music puzzle and completes the series that first saw the light of day back in 2010 with the scorching FUEGO. 

2011 brought us TERRA, firm and powerful with its devastating breakdown. 2013 saw us breathe in the mystical AIRE, harnessing the elements of the previous tracks to build a fresh and magical moment. AGUA, as its name suggests, flows effortlessly, helped in no small part by the sultry vocal of Xenia Beliayeva, but kicks in equal measure. 

Signing off in such style has also lead to Ideal Audio drafting in some heavy weight talent on the remixes. Carl Craig, under his C2 moniker, dives straight in to strip the original to its core. A single drum beat, siren, clap... and then the kick. Petar Dundov twists the original's elements into a bubbling acidic stream that washes over us.  An impressive package for an impressive finale! 

Egg London’s What Came First Recordings host Swiss producer Eveline Fink’s Morning Contrast EP, featuring 2 minimal groove infused cuts with remixes by German maestro Tobi Neumann and club’s resident Kyle E.

Electronic music has long fascinated Eveline Fink and her debut on WCF ties in for her love of minimal sounds, in both laid-back and club-orientated environments.

Influences from the past, the present and perhaps even the future are the key elements behind her sonic vision. The first track 'Contrast' opens the EP, a stripped back production with subtle vocal samples to give off a dark, moody feel to the track.

Keeping in tune with the minimal feel of this release, 'Morning Dust' has an alluring lead melody with a wavering bassline. A touch of tribal percussion also gives the track a Balearic feel.

Tobi Neumann's remix of 'Contrast' is an intensely hypnotic take on the original, blending twinkling melodies with crisp percussion throughout.

Kyle E's 6AM Remix of 'Morning Dust' is a beautiful dub production with a stunning break at the 3rd minute mark, with the result in ending the EP on a high.

Guri has been on the forefront of the emerging Balearic house music scene since 2011. DJ, producer and one third of the electronic live band Round Shaped Triangles. He has released his music on top-notch labels like Wolf + Lamb, Nite Grooves or Sub_Urban, where he also works as AR. On his vinyl debut, Guri shows us that he feels like fish in the water producing the most undergound side of house music.

"Into The Light" and "House Of Life" are two timeless deep house masterpieces, whose common denominator is a powerful bubbly bassline that hits you in the chest like the toughest heavyweight boxer. Catchy female disco voices and ethereal pads add to both tracks the necessary atmosphere to become two psychedelic and adrenaline trips.

The first remix comes by the always amazing Ruff Stuff. His rework is strongly influenced by Detroit 90's techno, with minor and melancholic chords, strong rhythms and an underground and raw sound. Quality at its best! Iban Montero & Jazzman come back to Cyanide to put the icing on the cake with the funkiest thang you've heard in a long time. Yes! These guys have more funk than Shaft driving a Chevelle through Harlem, and this track is no exception. Pure fire!

Focus On Egoless comes again behind an electrical EP on board. After few months of isolation studio sessions, Moray and Andrew (the guy behind the mask of Different Reflexion) start a project protecting the most versatile face of the union, portrayed on the record.
Three massive cuts, warm-ups rhythms, power coloured sets and peak time hours, joined by an atipic Dieru’s remix choosing some hypnotic vibes to get “the cherry on the cake”.

Gianluca Corsi, who needs no introduction, opens this new release with an astounding track called Emisphera, followed by Max Sensation, ICR Label owner, who brings out a modern techno journey full of vibe, called Hypnotic Suggestion. In the end, the record is completed with an original mix by Suave called The test followed by an impressive remix by Federico Guglielmi, who pulls out his personal vision of techno, rich in a selection of sounds that will take you on a journey between old school and new school techno.

Ciprian Stan joins Sonet Music for their 3rd outing and this London based Romanian does not disappoint. After recent outings on Pool House,Yarn Records, Piano Forest and Music Is Art, his Sonet EP sees him in top form.

Channels opens the EP with a consistent low end groove, combining quirky samples and clever percussion with the right level of energy to keep interest on the dance floor.

Next up is Some X Some Y which from the outset has a killer groove and bass line, with plenty of attention given to its clever drum programming, a great track which will fit in any club room.

Planks with it's haunting synths and hypnotic elements will suit sets later into the night.

Several Times has a typical Romanian sound and gets a little more quirky with it's unbalanced feel, the drums are on point here with a sublime tommy low end.

The house music dance scene was one of the most integrated and progressive spaces in the 1980s where gays, blacks, and other minority groups were able to dance together in a positive environment. House music helped to glue communities together it was like church for people who have fallen from grace and it´s influence on the development of the modern dance music culture is undeniable. Until today the idea of equality, unity, love, and respect is a widespread set of principles for the rave culture which developed out of house and retained a foothold on the underground scene but also across it´s borderlines all over the globe. The new NBAST Sub-label “We Must Protect This House” is a homage to the ethos of the Paradise garage and to the early days of house music, to Chicago and New York and the music culture itself with a more grown up approach … but with the same distinctive spirit as #datsoulthang
