BienAimer Records continue their journey into the depths of the underground with BAR004. Agustin Alvarez’s ‘Reflection’ EP features two original cuts firmly focused on the dancefloor.

Previous editions have been supported by the likes of Raresh, tINI, Jef K, Voigtmann and Traumer and the Detroit influenced ‘Standby’ builds a deep bass fuelled groove that builds layer upon layer of lushness throughout. Title track ‘Reflection’combines a rounded bassline and rich atmospherics to create a late night bomb worthy of the top artists that have been supporting it.

London hotshot producer Frazer Campbell reworks ‘Standby’ into a peak time cosmic groover while TIJN takes control of ‘Reflection’ where he introduces pumped up breakbeats turning off on a tidy new direction from the original.

EP support comes from Felipe Venegas, Franco Cinelli, Annie Errez, Halo, Chklte, Dudley Strangeways, Burnski, LEON .

Josh Baker joins the roster of Ben Rau's Meta imprint this November with his 'Swift Eviction' EP, featuring four originals from the Mancunian artist.

UK based producer and DJ Josh Baker has been steadily honing his craft over the past few years, releasing material on the likes of Adult Only and Hedzup whilst playing at the likes of Parklife festival and The Warehouse Project on his home turf of Manchester as well as hosting his own You&Me events in the city and playing hotspots like Pikes Ibiza, Mint Club, Leeds and more across the globe. Here though we see him deliver his latest works for Ben Rau's fledgling Meta imprint, sub-label of Inkal and home to material from the label-founder himself both solo and collaboratively with Rhymos, and the label debut from Ray Mono.
Title-track 'Swift Eviction' leads with a skippy, swinging drums grooves, swirling synth textures, snaking subs and vacillating vocal murmurs before the focal stages introduce a choppy organ melody to carry the groove throughout. 'Box Of Beats' follows, laying focus on an arpeggio bass lead, tension building atmospherics and brooding low-pitched vocal lines while modulating percussion and a robust rhythmic drive keeps things dance floor oriented.

Opening the flip side is 'Everything Together' edging things into deeper territories with ethereal chords, organic drums and an acid-tinged bass lead at the forefront alongside spoken word vocal lines. 'Buuky' then shapes up the package, laying focus on crunchy off-kilter drums, resonant synth flutters and airy strings.

The dutch producer Egbert put his hands on „Psilocybin Therapy“ and gave the track a dark atmosphere, it is hard to say which version is the best. Let’s get high on that music (Monika Kruse)

ArTeo on cover duty delivers another stunning microsculpture from his collection.

Dark and driving, these four tracks from Sonohat paint a monochromatic landscape tinted with mysterious melodies. "Nohemiann" sets the tone of the album with distorted chords and a whipping baseline. Next, fellow Romanian Vid's remix of "Nohemiann" subtly strips down the original with haunting, indiscernible whispers. On the B side, "Another Bottle of Wine" slurs vocals and drones to tell a textured story while the kick continues relentlessly. "Chains" returns to a groovy bassline and a nostalgic, yearning melody that reminds us how even the ability to turn everything to gold could, ultimately, be a curse.
