Coming soon from Petra Digital/Vinyl Recordings is the 'Chimes' EP from Turkish producer Hemi. No slouch, Hemi is a multi-disciplinarian who has worked as a promoter and a film maker, in addition to DJing and producing. Having previously released music under the monikers Paradisko (a collaboration with Hakan Özkan) and Pineapple Pop, he has decided to start using his own name for his music. His latest, the three tracker 'Chimes', is to be released on Petra Digital who are already off to a fantastic start in 2018 with the release of Georgi Barrel's 'Rhyme Goes On' and Doruk Guralp's 'Caspian'.

'Chimes' brings together 'Chimes', a Hemi original, and two remixes. The original mix gets us started, a bouncing, synthy house track. There is a prodding synth figure with more atmospheric layer underneath moving through the chords. Filled out by the layered beat, another big synth carves out the songs melody from the fabric of the track. A truly stunning track, the different figures are sustained when they need to be and dropped when appropriate.

The remixes come next, one from Kiwi and one from Mijo. The Kiwi remix is an early-in-the-night, out-on-the-floor track. You could be anywhere in the world listening to this, but you'd definitely be partying and you'd definitely be dancing. The Mijo remix is the hardest of the three, getting straight away into a driving beat. Following an extended break about a minute in, the track kicks back in full force. Jus Nowhere (Cahoot, Silence In Metropolis) Based in Washington, US is a Modern Music Producer eager to show his take on Club music with three tracks of deep pulsating sound, syncopation and a fair share of galactic house music.

Niles Cooper has got something for your mind, your body and your soul. The Danish producer knows how to produce Old School classics to bring us back to the 90's.

After the first release, Variete continues with an ep from Drea, including a remix by Viktor Udvari and Khristian K.

On the A side, Swiss based artist Drea delivers an eleven minute journey into dreamy melodies and bouncing drums named forward, that definitely will make you move your body.

On the B side, the Hungarian artists Viktor Udvari and Khristian K teamed up  and created a wonderful grooving more dancefloor oriented interpretation of The A side. 

Besides the remix on the B side, Drea rounds up the release with a floating forward going track called the Seed wich showed it's dancefloor capability more then once.

The release enjoys support from artists as tini , Barac , Nu Zau , Tulbure , Amir Javasoul and Counrad.

The 5th instalment of 4Plae's Blanc range sees label head ADMNTi partner up with label family member Casey Spillman, bringing two tracks with accompanying remixes.


‘0207’ opens up the EP with bags of bounce, accompanied by skewed chord stabs and underlying layers of glitchy vocals and effects. Casey’s A-Side contribution entitled ‘Juice Appeal’ boasts flares of garage as well as a nod to the UK’s jungle scene of the 90’s through the evolution of its rolling bassline.

Meanwhile, the flip side is dedicated to the remixes, kicking off with Spillman’s take on ‘0207’ which injects a more rowdy and raw energy into the original. ADMNTi’s rework depicts a more mellow yet steppy feel to ‘Juice Appeal’.

Orpheus Recordings proudly presents the first physical release in their catalogue with no other than Rumania’s groove master Mihai Popoviciu! Titled single ’GUM’ with three amazing remixes.

For this release, Mihai delivers some straight 4 on the floor drum patterns, unmistakable groovy snares blended with hypnotic pads and ‘crushy’ effects. A dance floor weapon you can’t go wrong with!

On the remix duties we have Argentinian raising talent Gabriel Gorostidi aka ‘Londonground’ giving ‘GUM’ a more mysterious tweak. For the second remix Federico Morton and Marco Donato aka ‘Italoboys’ need no introduction. The UK based duo give ‘GUM’ a more ‘darktech’ approach with scattered percussions, dope vocals and big room pads. Che bravi, exquisite!

To wrap up the pack, label heads Max Alzamora and Fernando Vidal aka ‘Nuclius’ better known together in Lima’s underground scene as the duo ‘NUMAX’ build a more laid-back deep minimal re-shape. Pick your poison and set your spell on the ‘dancefloor’.

Inspired by selfish showmanship of social networks Argomat and Jen from Hannover packed their very own view of things into this release. Long live the selfie-stick...not.

The b-side is just about misunderstanding. All in all...don't take this release too serious. There is a beat, a bassline, some things around that and essentially again, the really nice voice of Jen.

With Mikel Gil (Lonely Owl Records) from Spain and label owner Gunman we have two fantastic remixes and both are delivering their own perception of music. Enjoy :)
