UK artist Pirate Copy is sure to burst into the headlines with an arresting new track for Moon Harbour.

The project is the work of Manchester's Lee Spence, and he has previously released big tunes on labels like Kaluki Musik and Elrow Music. He is also a veteran of many residencies around the world, plays from Brazil to Ibiza, and prides himself on a raw DIY approach that always carries over into his innovative tracks. Championed by kingmakers like Pete Tong and Hot Since 82, his muscular sound is a perfect fit for this label.

'Tribal On The Terrace' is the aptly named single he offers here. It is seven minutes of broody tech with a bluster of snares and toms, metallic hits and jumbled percussion. Pained vocals add real steaminess to the track as the burrowing bass rides up and down and takes you with it. Restless and sweaty throughout, it is a track that is intense and involving and takes you on a real trip.
The instrumental version strips away the vocal to make for a track that is brilliantly full of dance floor flavour and one that drips with energy.

This is a high-pressure package that re-asserts Pirate Copy as a real tech house talent.

All aboard the 'Ark': Two by two, four by four, whatever... Whichever way you want to board, the doors of this great vessel are open and Monaberry bossmen Super Flu are the proud captains. 

Their first full voyage of the year, 'Ark' is a stately piece of techno noir theatre designed to wrestle the choppiest of dancefloor seas. A multi-layered narrative laced with crispy arpeggios and strange otherworldly talkbox textures, it's an oceanic titan that ploughs through the heaviest of elements with grace and majesty. 

'Doppt' takes us to the next waymark on the map. Gently rhythmic from the moment its first shakers kiss your ears, we're soon satiated with tightly plucked percussive elements, subtle humanised textures and a sense of momentum that's tightly coiled with suspense and drama in a way that only Super Flu know how. 

Finally our feet touch terra firma with the mysterious afro house maverick Hyenah as he provides an earthy remix stampede. Flexing between African rhythms, powerful 4/4s and a tantalising breakdown salvo, it's yet another sterling revision from the masked beast... And another exceptional Monaberry trip from the one and only Super Flu. Boy voyage!

The next EP on Moon Harbour welcomes prominent house figure Yousef to the label for the first time. The powerhouse behind the Circus parties and label serves up a trio of tracks that prove why he is one of the most vital players in the game.

Yousef has been a driving force in dance music's underground for many years. His curated Circus events in Liverpool have become a cultural reference point for dance music in in the UK, and it is this reputation that has seen the brand feature in events all over the globe.

As a DJ, Yousef has appeared eight times on The Essential Mix and has been inducted into the Radio 1 Hall Of Fame joining the likes of Sven Vath, Dixon, Solomun and Richie Hawtin. His weekly radio show '21st Century House Music' is on more than 100 FM stations worldwide, amassing over 20m listeners per month.

As a producer and remixer, he has appeared on Desolat, BPitch Control, Cocoon and Crosstown Rebels whilst his own label Circus Recordings celebrated its 15th Anniversary with releases greats like Green Velvet, The Martinez Brothers, Laurent Garnier and Marco Carola. His career trajectory over this time has made Yousef more influential and culturally relevant than ever.

First out of the blocks here is 'Nothing to Fear', an intoxicating tune with a nice rolling bassline and exotic synths up top. It's one to get summer crowds locked in and along for the wild ride, while smartly filtered vocals add fuel to the fire and clever drum fills build the tension.

Yousef then serves up a dub of the same track that has bigger, more rubbery drums at the heart. It's deeper and more intimate, though melodies explode like fireworks and synths twist and turn throughout to bring plenty of energy to the driving grooves.

Closing out the superb EP is 'A Better World', a perfectly punchy track but one with majestic chords and melodies infusing it with a serene sense of futuristic Detroit soul. It surges through the night on a slick, supple bassline, and is sure to make for plenty of good times to any set.

This is a standout debut from Yousef which shows off a couple of different sides to his essential house sound.

The vinyl-only series VRV begins 2019 with a strong performance from Direkt, a young emerging talent from the Romanian underground scene, his tracks being played in the last year by the likes of RQZ, Giuliano Lomonte, Priku or Arapu.

We start with the „AM Shift”, a powerful way to kick things off. Its smooth but determined bass gives you a morning-coffee like energy. A perfect way to start your early morning shift at an after party.

Next, on the second track, things start to get a bit heavier and a little more serious, with some powerful and groovy bass lines. Everything is soon covered with an ever-evolving layer of percussions and distinctive noises, making for a lovely complex piece of work.

The third track, Modularps, is certainly a dark chapter in this story. A moody, heavy and stable affair that delivers some chilling vibes, this is a journey that gains urgency as the minutes go by and you can expect to find yourself lost in the dreamy sounds.

Expect some nifty sounds from Hidden, the last dance on this EP. The track starts off calmly but quickly descends into a deep and spacey odyssey, closing off a wonderful EP, a true statement of intent from Direkt.

The latest edition of our Breaking New Soil series proves that time flies when you´re having fun: This is number 10! Once again presented by label head Gregor Tresher, and this time with two exciting contributions by the man himself, we are proud to announce a very versatile lineup: We have Hybrasil, who Gregor met at a gig in Dublin, presenting a beast of a peaktime track with - Flexo . Returning to the label is Ferdinando Apicella from Naples, better known as Kernel Key, who delivers another non-conforming techno jam that will go big with all the real Techno heads. Next up we have label favorite Fac3off - returning with not one but two amazing tracks presenting his signature sound - we´re sure we´ll be hearing a lot more from this talent in the future! The Yellowheads, hailing from Spain, had a storming EP release on BNS last year and return in very strong shape with - Caelum . Last but not least there is Antipolar from Cologne, with whom Gregor recently shared the decks at Cologne underground club - Gewoelbe - he´s new to the label and is debuting with a very unique sounding production called - Mandal . Germany's Ninetoes is back for his third EP in three years on Moon Harbour, and once again proves why he is one of the most essential talents in tech house. Label boss Matthias Tanzmann plus Harvard Bass also step up to remix one track each.
Releasing on Kling Klong and Play It Down, the man born Özgür Yelmen has achieved plenty since emerging in 2013. As well as putting out the likes of 'Finder', which went on to become one of the most Shazamed tracks in Ibiza, his hip hop influenced sound last year gave rise to the Bonita EP on this label. Played far and wide by taste making headline DJs, this latest offering is another subtle evolution of his sound.
It is the dry and stripped back 'Be' that opens the EP in fluid and infectious style. Weaving together hurried drums, intricate percussion and fluttering snares, the track is restless and super groovy and one to get you into a state of hypnosis.
Matthias Tanzmann steps up to remix and makes the drums bigger and more airy, with rolling snares and watery sounds percolating up through the mix. It's pure dancing music that has an irresistible tech-funk to it.
Ninetoes's second cut is 'Stand Up', another paired down and warm track with soft drums and shakers. It's atmospheric and heady for more cosy and late-night dance floors, with a heated chord progression dancing up top to bring colour and energy to the groove.
Mexican-American bad-boy Victor 'Harvard Bass' mixes up the raw appeal of American booty with the style and function of European beats. He flips the track into something with splashes of cymbals and vocal stabs that amp up the energy levels. Filled with tension and pressure that never releases, it's a fresh way to round out a varied EP of forward thinking house music.

Monaberry’s label boss, good old Herb, is back in business. The House multi-talent curates the latest Mona compilation – Herberts Best #8. Famous Monaberry artists and new faces from all over the world follow his call and deliver exquisite productions to grandpa Herbert.

Tim Engelhardt’s contribution “Skin” is a deep hitting symphony of a cineastic atmosphere, rolling drums, crystal clear luminescent synths and captivating arpeggios. Mi.li.an’s vocals enchantingly highlight the track’s vibrant beat and the analog drive finally flows into bubbly extasy.

Just right after the release of his latest track on Monaberry Sobek pleases grandpa Herbert with “Camerlengo” – a gently evolving and hypnotically dragging track with some smacking groove that wraps around the floating framework and tickles your senses all at once.

Armonica, the charismatic duo from the dephts of Italy, put a mad peaktime track on the table. “Time” is just bursting with slightly dark synths and FXs. The energizing bass line and the vocals reduced to the essentials are literally pushing this track onto the global stage.

Another track is delivered by Sonic Future from Porto Alegre, Brazil. His artwork “Pontilismo” is full of vigorous rhythm, crisp synth variations and minimal 80ies flair that will knock your socks off. Especially the filter modulated chords carry you away to Alpha Centauri and fuse together with the beat into an embracing sound.

Luis Junior brings “Go Gech” into play, a rotating Detroit UFO made of technoid ruthlessness and deep groove. He successfully blends dramatic synth chords, vocal snippets, and striking FXs into a continuous storyboard with a break that will make your endorphins dance and pleases with a lovingly staged happy end.



Italian stallion Ivan Masa uses Afro House elements and sprinkles some melodic parts and softly playful groove to build the sound frame of “Nativity”. Dense spaces and percussions merge into an ethno inspired work of art that will flow straight into your body and soul.

Ikarius & Dhakka join with “Salvation”, a hypnotic production that catapults the audience into a next dimension with opulent synth chords and effects, crunchy claps and subtle toms. The track composition is indeed psychedelic and a powerful tool.

Ultimately, a compilation like this can only be brought into being by good old Herb himself. We bow to his wisdom and cannot wait for these seven gorgeous pieces.

Fresh from announcing the full digitalisation of his second label, Meta, Ben Rau returns to his Inkal imprint with OutThere, aslicktwo-trackerthatshowcasestheGermantalentathisbest.

The EP begins with title track Out There , a swelling house cut that merges rolling percussion with funky disco licks, before a heavily delayed vocal calls out to the dancefloor in the breakdown. Driving congas and shuffling hi-hats create a funky peak time track that shows off Ben's big room sensitivities. On the B-side comes What is Love , a long-awaited and enigmatic house cut that rounds off the release in style. Deep pads swell and ebb, while Ben's signature minimal percussion bleeps and glitches with funk and swing.

Legotek's first LP is brought to you by Tel Aviv based Dot. Imagine one of those special sets. The kind of musical story that sticks in your mind for ages, you always remember and in times can scoop endless seeming power from. Well this 8-tracker from Dot just about fulfils this kind of stimulus. Each track can be seen either as one special individual or the whole package as one big flowing journey. Mixed together this could easily turn out as a live set. Now then, about the unique music and its seductive vibe. Staying true to the underground heart of Legotek Dot has managed what many aim for in effort. A vibrant, lively and deep sound constantly accompanied by strong kicks and pumping melodies. The analogue core of the story has been given the breath of life to become a classic piece of deep house history.

Avgusto presents us 3 massively driven originals, perfect for the peaktime.

Another Secret relies on a stomping kick-sub-groove, alerting synth stabs, and eponymous vocals.

I Had a Vision combines similar ingredients but takes us towards a more spacy direction.

Tham, regular at Berlin’s much-loved Griessmühle, delivers an EBM-influenced remix.

Finally, Ad Eternum is a toolish and super-functional closure of the pack.

After a little break, Questo is back with No. 007 - first time not only on vinyl. Protagonist of the - Dub Ass EP is Berlin-based and good old friend BEE LINCOLN, who makes noise these days with his label as usual.music! Two rumbling originals getting completed with an excellent pack of remixes by Ukrainin guys OUTSTRIP and label head FRANCCESCO BALLATO!

- Dub Ass in its original mix is nothing less than a bassy rave monster, which appears occasionally at the peak time in the center of the floor and eats you. Definitely it's the kind of unexpectable and not usual track, but the power of the synth bass has a taste of apocalypse. Furthermore on the A side is the reinterpretation by Mr. Questo Francesco Ballato, who strips down the elements and comes up with a groovin' minimal techno remix. Taking the bass stabs and setting up effectively in combination with the tuned percussions, creates a subtle driven piece which is extraordinarily worthful playing/dancing it.



The B-Side features at first Bee's original - Consciousness , which is grounded on a warm drifting bassline. Sneaky synth cuts are directing it to the question ‚What is conciousness' and gains a higher state of meaning. A divine female voice is trying to give an answer and leads into suspensful chords. The guys of Outstrip are masterminds of contemporary groovin techhouse and minimal stuff. They recently released on labels like Dogmatik Rec., Fantatstic Friends, Lapsus Music, Knee Deep In Sound, Antura or their very own vinyl imprint Outstrip Wax. So the remix is obviously made for the wax with a keen bassline and reduce the elements on its basic. Smartly giving it a deep touch, it gives the flawless part to have a rounded vinyl EP.
