Since making his debut in 2008, Bulgarian talent Valeri Ivanov, aka Timmo, has swiftly become a name of note within the current techno landscape following with a string of releases via some of the biggest labels in the scene, from Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and of course Monika Kruse’s Terminal M imprint. Having emerged as a core figure for the label following his collaboration ‘Violet’ with Kruse back in May, and leading straight on from his ‘Starlight’ EP which featured three tracks from the extensive body of work in early June, the imprint will now welcome the arrival of his eleven-track LP ‘Starlight’, featuring a combination of club-focused tracks alongside more emotive soundscapes. “’Starlight’ is my debut album, and I’m very happy it’s going to be out on Monika Kruse’s Terminal M. It took me more than a year to finish and create it as an experience, the way I felt it should be. Starting with more melodic tracks, going through more energetic and electric ones and finishing off with some acid. All 11 songs have been recorded in my home studio in Sofia, using a variety of synths and modules, some dating back to the early 80s like the Roland Juno 60, and some being brand new or improved versions of classic synthesizers such as the Sequential Prophet 6.” - Timmo Opening via the ominous ‘Leaving Earth’ and flowing straight into the action via the acid laced ‘New Beginning’, the eleven- track project swiftly takes its form as a balance of driving, uncompromising productions accented by subtle interludes and moments of space. Take for example the bubbling ‘Solar’ and the warping ‘Belle Epoque’, which keep the focus on oscillating synths and regimented percussion, whilst title cut ‘Starlight’ takes control and ups the energy via soaring lead synths and frenzied electrics. Next up, ‘Sonic Voyage’ reveals yet another twisting journey as Timmo merges ever-evolving leads with restrained vocal snippets, whilst ‘Vortex’ and ‘Spacefreaks’ add further energy via a medley of hefty kicks and menacing bass patterns throughout. Entering into the final three cuts, ‘Rhythm X’ brings forth further infectious 303-lines, tripped out vocal hooks and slick hats to head further into the peak time, whilst the darker ‘Connect’ throws its hat into the mix via a combination of commanding female vocals and choppy bass licks, before arriving at closing track ‘Interspace’ which lowers the tempo and switches the emphasis towards bright synth melodies and calming breaks featuring rich soundscapes to punctuate the project in emphatic fashion. Channeling main room sonics whilst intertwining rich melodies and softer tones throughout, ‘Starlight’ sees the unveiling of Timmo’s most complete body of work as he continues his ascent as one of his genres leading talents via the ever-impressing Terminal M.

Kresy - In The Fish Tank

Following on from the well-received debut EP from Gessture, Enclave Records reaches its fifth release and rounds off the year in style with a four-tracker from Spanish maestro Alejandro Rodríguez, aka Kresy.

Clocking up appearances on such notable imprints as Hivern Discs, Freerange and Let's Play House sub-label, Room Service, Kresy is an artist with an innate understanding of the relationship between melody and groove - but that's unsurprising when you're talking about someone who regularly appears at the likes of Sonar, Panorama bar, and Trouw.

Across the four tracks, we're treated to an impressively diverse yet coherent range of sounds from an artist clearly on top of their game. Melding dreamy pads and twinkling keys to fizzing percussion and rock-solid bottom end, Kresy's dubbed-out sound manages to feel simultaneously minimalist and expansive and the tracks turned in here happily reward both home listening and club rotation.

Special mention must be given to the lead cut on the EP, Think of You, which features the mercurial talents of Detroit native Javonntte. Having burst on to the scene in the late 90's before dropping off the radar almost as suddenly, the second coming of Javonntte - a man who's toured with Arethra Franklin and featured on tracks with Andrés - has been a joy to behold.

Early support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Nick Höppner, Steve Bug, Dixon, Sebo K and Gerd.

Butane - Sketch Factor Ep

For the second installment on his new Extrasketch imprint, Andrew Rasse aka Butane returns to deliver the scintillating 'Sketch Factor', with the four track EP set to drop in mid-October. Following the launch of Extrasketch this July and the closure of Alphahouse earlier in the year, October is set to welcome the second EP in a series of Butane-only productions as the San Francisco based producer continues to dive deep into what he describes as his own exploration about what House and Techno should look, feel and sound like. With EX01 supported by the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Adam Beyer, Truncate, Magda, Dj Sneak, Alexi Delano and Ryan Crosson among others, Rasse's new creative outlet is set to become a quick favourite of many and a sure thing for underground quality and consistency. First up is 'Don't Stop', a stripped back, eclectic affair in which Rasse effortlessly introduces intricate organic percussion amongst bumping sub tones and murky background drones, whilst the sizzling lead synth keeps the track locked in a techno-hypnosis. Cavernous kicks reinforce shimmering hats and a snaking, meandering electro-tinged lead in the driving and dynamic 'Minimum Wage' to conclude the A-Side in fine fashion. Fans of Rasse's work will immediately be drawn to B1 'Go', as trademark Butane drum licks merge with infectious vocal shots to reveal a production born from hazy after-hour dancefloors. 'Ultramax' wraps up the EP with a quirky off-kilter feel as skippy drums work in a free flowing pattern amongst eerie vocal snippets, high pitched bleeps and subtle sonics, creating a hypnotic workout that ensures listeners slowly spiral amongst the productions methodical madness.

A-SIDE
Soaked in its sunset nostalgia by the Mamaian waterfronts, the EPs A-side 'About space and future' relocates us onto the ever-moving engine of curious kicks and rhythmic indulgence that is Costin Rp. A deep sense of groove, brings us along on his narrow excursion to the ethereal - and otherworldly.

B-SIDE
With a more esoteric voice, the B-side brings 'Phil Ther'. A dreamy mechanism built around its tense releases of glimmering echoes and reverberations. As it serves genuine moments of sadness, optimism, fear and peace; the austere and raw emotions end in its kaleidoscopic manner - that is 'About space and future (Tour)’.

Matthias Tanzmann - Momentum (2x12")

Moon Harbour is delighted to announce the Autumn 2016 release of Momentum, the second full length album
from label boss Matthias Tanzmann. Arriving eight years after his debut LP Restless, the outstanding follow-up
impressively demonstrates that his artistic restlessness has not been decreasing over the last couple of years.
On the contrary, Momentum undoubtedly proves once more that Matthias' impact on the scene is still steadily
growing with an end not in sight and that his efforts to advance are ever moving forward.
Recent times have found Matthias having huge success via fruitful collaborations with the likes of Martin
Buttrich, Davide Squillace and Daniel Stefanik, amongst others, but now back on his own and more energetic
than ever, he is firing on all cylinders as a solo artist. Loosely rooted in a variety of house styles, Momentum
shows a subtle return to some of Tanzmann's earliest musical roots. Just as Matthias declares himself, It is stuff
to listen to at home, stuff I like to listen to away from the club', before adding that, of course, it also contains
tracks that are 100% what I love playing in my DJ sets.'
The ten track release is an impulsive and emotionally moving affair that offers a fantastic snapshot into the
current musical mind of the artist. With a process initially starting during his times abroad in Thailand and South
America, this most coherent and complete album has been slowly coming together over the last five years. In
customary manner, the album is quite different to a normal EP from the German producer, given that it features
plenty of deeper and more cerebral moments than most of his past works.
With a perfect mixture between listening pleasure and pure dancefloor material, Momentum contains tracks
ranging from deep and broody house style with warm pads streaming over infectious drums to serene and
atmospheric jams with real funk in their bones. Next to more downtempo sultry house vibes, the harder, more
freaky tunes will get floors bumping with their punchy drums, wiggling synths, drilling bass and loopy vocal
sounds. With more soul infused party grooves rounding up the experience, the release truly brings along the
whole range of carefully plotted ups and downs necessary for casting the listener under a hypnotic and heartfelt
spell of house music.

The album will be celebrated with a worldwide release tour from October to December 2016, highlighting once
more that only a few have the exact same sense of electronic music artistry as this man does.

Hernan Bass - Condemned love EP

Krad with his third album brings us two original tracks of Hernan Bass, composed under catchy rhythms that go from the microhouse to the minimal deep tech, also using female voices from Italy in one of the tracks or deep sounds in the other:
But the album does not end here, two strong remixes appear, one by Manuel de Lorenzi, which adapted its version to a stronger groove for the dancefloor, whereas Basti Grub made its version more delicate and refined, which can even be adapted to the dance floor pretty good.

MOTHER067
Already loved and played by: JAMIE JONES, CLAPTONE, DENNIS FERRER, DANNY HOWARD, HECTOR, RICHY AHMED, MAT.JOE, MIHALIS SAFRAS, NINETOES and many more...

MOTHER RECORDINGS welcome SIMION for a new tidy two track EP entitled XTC. This artist has really made a big impression over the last couple of years with releases on labels like Snatch!, Suara, Hedonism, and now he impresses on Mother.

The title track XTC goes first and is six minutes of face melting house with nice gloopy and reversed synth lines tugging you in weird directions. The drums are fresh and the perc sprinkled over the top helps drive things along as vocals pop out of the mix.

Then comes HAUS, a tougher house tune with wooden drum sounds, freaky vocals that are expertly treated and loopy sub bass that really pulls you in. Add some fire vocals that really set things off and you have a sure fire winner.

MOTHER068
THE MAGICIAN - Really like this!
RICHY AHMED - wkd
MAT.JOE - Dope !
WANKELMUT - feelgood house, yeah! :)
TOUGH LOVE - LOVE!
DE LA SWING - Massvie release :) thanks!
MAXIMONO - dope! support
WORTHY - Icke Und for me!
SACHA ROBOTTI - schoenet ding keule!

German DJ and producer ROBOSONIC is back with another of their party starting EPs, this time on MOTHER RECORDINGS. It comes after years of serving up sizzling tunes on labels like DFTD, Kittball and OFF Recordings and across two sweet tunes they really cook up a sonic storm.

PEACH (Original Mix) is first and is a juicy house tune with lovely warm, groovy chords - written together with Jan Weigel. It's a colourful cut with real soul and squelchy bass and is the sort to get the floor filled right up.

ICKE UND SIE (Original Mix) on the flip is another feel good tune, with well swung drums, skipping kicks and well treated vocals that bring a vibe feel. More great chords flesh things out and this is a timeless jam to close out an essential two tracker.

Daniel Broesecke - Fusion EP

After in 2018 he released his debut vinyl-only EP on Vivus alongside Silat Beksi, it was due time for Daniel Broesecke to take things into his own hands and he does just that with his first solo effort, backed by a very strong Vlad Arapasu remix.

We kick things off with the title track some heavy bass lines that will grab your attention instantly. As the track goes on, layer after layer is added and the result is a very smooth journey seasoned with an exquisite vocal deep in the background.

Next up we have Lockdown and here Daniel is a little more playful. You can feel it from the beginning, with some distinguishing percussions and idiosyncratic noises that give you a sense of urgency. As the minutes go by, a dark and enigmatic background noise is added and it call comes wonderfully together.

The curtain-closer is Vlad Arapasu’s interpertation of Fusion and it is an charming and meticulous effort by the Romanian producer. This is a whole different story with a complete different but all the same amazing bass line. Vlad Arapasu has managed to keep what made the original such a lovely track and add a misty layer over it, making it somehow more dark but also something that gets your feet going at the same time.

Rich NxT - Started Again Ep

London based Rich NxT is up for the fourth release on Tamango Records with "Started Again", a four-tracker killer EP straight from one of the hottest name into the European circuit, which includes a remix by label boss himself Yaya. Last year was a big one for Fuse regular NxT who recently has also launched his own imprint called "NxT Records". His debut on Tamango is the evidence of his mastery on making raw and crispy beats infused with the mid-2000's London's rave touch.

The EP kicks off with "Started Again" where heavy stomping kicks, distorted claps and punchy rimshots are glued together by squeezing shots and a low and subtle melodic loop. This one is a true NxT trademark tool with a serious rough feel over it's almost-seven minutes ride.
A2 is about captain Yaya. After setting the label standard with the first 3 releases on his own Tamango, he strikes back on the remix duties. His version of 'Started Again' is a tribal percussion affair filled with mysterious filtered vocal shots and rolling drums. The pressing and rhythmic shakers create the right balance into the groove and led to vague synths and pad to move all over the track.

On the Flipside, 'Ashame' is the real deal on the EP. It's a direct and powerful tune with a super raw and rampant bassline where basement club vibes are at their best. Here Rich goes hard and direct with a peaktime roller full of electro-styled fuzzy synths, jumbled percussion, slapping pitched snares and freaky vocals to create a true dancefloor anthem, perfect to set the crowd on fire during the cold winter season.

Last track is 'Despect', a different tech house tool with an 'up&down' bubbling analog bass, breakbeat loop and infectious beats surrounded by strange and metallic background sounds and shots.
