Next up on the gold standard tech house imprint that is Roush, comes label boss himself, Hector Couto. On the Parental Advisory EP, the influential Spaniard has readied four cuts of to-the-point club music that cannot fail to make its mark.

Hector is one of the most respected artists around with a truly global allure for his brand of house music. He has released on labels such as Defected, Moon Harbour, Hot Creations and Get Physical and is no stranger to the finest DJ booths in the world, from Ministry of Sound to Amnesia Ibiza. As such any new music from him warrants deserved excitement.

Proving that once more is excellent opener 'Like This,' a wobbly tech house tune that is full of electronic funk. It has great vocals, swollen bass and siren like synths that really get under your skin and demand you dance. Title track 'Parental Advisory' is a real party starter with wild vocals and jittery drums. Off kilter synth stabs and fat bass all make it a hugely fun and characterful tune that is sure to stand out in any set.

Moving on to the essential 'Old Roots', this one comes laden with retro breakbeats and a dusty sense of groove. Air horns and crisp hi hats all get stitched into the loopy groove and pull you deeper and deeper in with each rotation. Lastly, 'Bubble Gum' comes with a snaking bassline that is tough and rugged. Classic 909 pops and clicks pepper the groove, as do plenty of sweet vocal samples and the result is one hell of a tech tune that sounds like little else.

This is another masterclass in effective, emotive dance music and marks another fine release for both label and artist. The vinyl elease will be accompanied by a digital version featuring an exclusive remix from Sante.

Norse Projekt brings Muninn back for release 004 with his EP called Fornjot, some more minimalistic analogue warmths accompanied by a remix from Fuse resident Rich NxT who adds some lively acidic tones to the track Jarnsaxa.

After discovering Non Reversible's unique take on techno via his contribution to two Apotek various artists releases, we though it was time to bring him to the Knotweed family.

Non Reversible mixes acid with the darker atmospheric tones of techno, adding many rhythmic - almost tribal - elements, to his tracks: a subtle blend of old school and modern techno that fits perfectly with the spirit of Knotweed. Enjoy!

RFBCOLOURS hits release number 3 with a return from Jamie Trench this time delivering 2 tracks himself alongside JammHot who bring two of their own. Jamie opens up with "Snap" a bassline lead driver with vocal snips that twist and change throughout. Then JammHot bring "Look To The Skies", this one on a more sunshine vibe with garage-esque vibes and great for those day parties. On the flip we begin with Jamie's "She Likes To Play" this one carrying a hedonistic groove that again relies on a dinstinctive low end Jamie loves and this time rallied alongside drifting horns and female vocals. JammHot finish up the 4 tracker with with "Under The Boards" which is the most melodic of the bunch with a more head down persuasion.

We are happy to introduce our Second Vinyl - Excuse Fear EP. This time it's gonna be solo EP by really talented musician from Spain - EQUAL aka Dakpa.

Marc Leclair aka Akufen, has long been considered one of electronic music's most fascinating producers. An early pioneer of the so-called 'microhouse' sound, he's perhaps best known for his work on Perlon and aside from Akufen, his Horror Inc. alias. His latest comes at us from emerging Italian label, Telharmonic Texture. The label's third release (following releases by Jeff Samuel and Paradroid ft. a remix by label boss, Pressure Point), 'Music 2 Wiggle 2' sees the Canadian perk up with three original tracks. As always with Akufen, they're striking in their originality and level of detail especially. 

A new mysterious label emerges from the grey outskirts of Romania - Eightyfive Records pinpoints the time period in which the musicians were born, a mixture of groovy industrial revolution beats and post-communist moody themes. Because the EP is presented under full anonymity, you'll be the dancing judge of how these artists showcased a few childhood memories.

B2 - Netherland based producer Drvg Cvlture rounds up the EP with deep drums and vocal weirdness. A dark and spherical techno stomper which drills directly in to your mind.

The EP combines elements of repose and melodic tranquility with dance worthy tracks. As the title suggests rudimentary components provide the basis, in a way that distinguishes each track to its own dance floor setting.

The title track kicks off in true thumping fashion! The bassline sheds hints of acid, while the hovering synth line rounds the track into a driving dance floor killer! Enticing old school vocal cuts hang loosely over the arrangement.

The somewhat eccentric notions carried in Tiny Nut', through his trickling hi-hats and descending basslines, creates a wonderful deep house exoticism, that you may find easy to lose yourself in. Somewhere in the middle we find a jacking vocal cut bringing us from under the trees for a brief moment in time. Earthy sounds make this track warm and enticing, but don't assume it's not dance floor material, because it is!

Swirling synth pads and a heavy kick lead the closing track Minna': a deep expedition in to acid ridden basslines and hypnotic percussions. In the breakdown, distant Spanish vocals help create this mysterious setting.

This is the second episode of our Various Artists serie.
The Fallen (a collaboration between Plural (James Johnson) and FBK (Kevin Kennedy)) opens the E.P. with Interference, a fast paced killer hypnotic dance floor friendly dub track: they create a sound that is unique, fluid and extremely danceable.
Philippe Petit follows with Exposed, a stripped down, bleepy bass-heavy rhythmic piece of techno.
Julixo brings us Own Structure, an aggressive jackin techno track leading to a warm synth line that will leave nobody indifferent.

Basti Grub &Mike Trend together with Serbian veteran producer Petar Cvetkovic rounded up an impressive posse of
producers who know how take their cues from these remarkable productions.
"All Good" is the minimal techno 2016 must have record.

French imprint A-TRACTION Records returns with a new EP from Marst late June, featuring two original compositions and one remix from Moteka.

Marst has been releasing music since 2012 via the likes of Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records, John Digweed's Bedrock and French Techno imprint A-TRACTION Records. Here we see Marst return to the latter with an exciting new project further showcasing his melodious, deep techno style which has seen heavy support from French electronic music pioneer Laurent Garnier since his humble beginnings.

Up first is title track 'Nanga' which sees Marst blend square wave arpeggios and an amalgamation of delayed staccato synth stabs with weighty rhythms and sporadic organic percussive rolls. The 'Vocal Mix' of 'Future' follows and embraces a deeper aesthetic via elongated sub drones, tuttering bass hits and snaking resonant lead hook, whilst psychedelic vocal murmurs further fuel its heady vibe.

Fellow Frenchman Moteka (Flash Recordings / Children Of Tomorrow) then turns in his first interpretation next with 'Remix 21' taking a more robust approach with pounding drums, murky atmospheric sweeps and vacillating synth chimes which ebb and flow throughout the groove. This year, A-TRACTION Records celebrate their 15th birthday... Let's celebrate with them !!
