Elektrax label founder DJ Hi-Shock's new vinyl, called 'The Travelers'sees the light of day on a nifty Darknet 12". The package contains 2 strong originals for the floor, an always delivering Audio Injection remix and a more spacy dub mix of the title track.

'Surface Tension' fits perfectly in the tooled up, loopy techno-archives we all came to love so much recently. A hypnotizing beat and bassline combo make this the perfect track to layer 2 or 3 more decks upon.

'The Travelers' takes things into a more peaktime-level, fading in its synth hook early and thus instantly giving the track it's own unique
face. Intelligent and carefully thought out breaks and synth automation, make sure this track gets the crowds fists up more than once during its running time. Perfect track to get things sweaty!

On the B-side, we start off with the Audio Injection remix of 'Surface Tension'. It contains all the right elements which make Audio Injection such a sought-after remixer, while also implementing a bit of stylish twists concerning his well known alias Truncate.

Finally, the Dub mix of Surface Tension, named 'Surface Dub', takes things onto a more deep route, jabbing around chord stabs and sweet
reverb work, showing us having to be opening DJ doesn't always have to be a bad thing.

Mat.Joe sure had an impressive breakthrough ride last year including worldwide recognition, endless touring schedule and an impressive catalogue of tracks and remixes including acclaimed eps in OFF which quickly scouted them as core artists. 2014 started as busy as expected for the Berlin duo, with tracks and remixes in Suara, Stil Von Talent and our own 5 year talent compilation. Hot as they are, we thought this was a good time for another EP, and they delivered an impressive pair of floor movers with their usual versatility and good taste.
"Way Too Bad" shows their sampling skills with a rolling groove full of soul that swirls nicely over funky drums and a killer bassline. On the b side, "Brighton Beach" shows a deeper, thoughtful escapade, with synth keys and arpeggios slilding into a big boom bass creating an uplifting vibe for a very special time in the night. Both tracks capture the essence of Mat.Joe while being perfect tools for different moments and feelings. Another true gem from the OFF camp!

Idriss D and Fabrizio Maurizi welcome back to their label Francesco Bergomi (a.k.a. F.Bergomi) and Rush. As eclectic as ever, the iconic Memento Records takes its music catalog one step further with this split Ep, featuring 4 off-the-wall tracks that stand out as some of the most uncompromising ever released on its roster. Gianni Sabato and Alfredo Caforio have been producing collectively as Rush their own Southern Italy influenced abstract house and techno for quite some time now. One of their previous tracks was included in Cassy's Cocoon Heroes Mix, giving the duo international exposure and wide acclaim. Francesco Bergomi releases on Dubfire's groundbreaking SCI+TEC Digital Audio and his music has been played and charted by some of the top djs wolrdwide. Rush's "Raw" is built around a percussive pattern and features a whole array of claps and cow bells that flow along spaced out noises, atmospheric pads and quirky vocals, while 'Quorum"'s orgy of galloping chords is a mind trip. Francesco Bergomi's "Black Ice"'s dark melodies and dub vibes sneak in at 122 bpm, slowing down the pace to an obscure and lurking rhythm, with creeping analog progressions and eerie spectral sounds; "Bodies"'s heavy drums boast open right into your face, and the exploding bass line kicks in like a mammoth low frequencies beast. Old school synth stabs and a ghostly break close off this tune sending shivers down the spine.

For the magic catalogue number "parquet100" labelhead SOLEE and longtime parquet artists BOSS AXIS joined forces to bring us deep melodic sounds as you should know it from these guys. Mexican wonder-team Climbers, already praised for massive releases on the likes of Get Physical, Culprit and Electronique, team up with London's own Silky (My Favourite Robot, Nurvous) and Barber (Faceless Recs) to put together a solid EP surely destined to have room in everyone's set this summer.

"Frozen" shows their signature sound in full capacity... Deep disco groove with a bouncy phat bassline and sing along male vocals and lots of feeling in the synth and pad work, truly a musical delight.

On remix duty come Moda Black's Jaymo & Andy George, who turn "Frozen" in a more housed, dubbed peak hour track, keeping the deepness but pushing up the tempo with swirling pads and a killer swing groove.

"Mindset" is the second track, with another solid discofied groove & mind bending vocal work but with a darker techy approach, fat lead synths and a driving bassline make this one quite a trip. A great summer package indeed!

For its 15th release, Lany Recordings founder Maxim Lany has produced a new solo EP, which intends to celebrate the true sound of the label.
Every organization has its foundations. So does Lany Recordings. For the latest release on the Belgian born label, founder Maxim Lany went looking for these very foundations. Taking the time to dig deeper, with long studio sessions, he aimed to create an EP that captures the essence of Lany Recordings and his own sound. Like a good wine, a good house EP must mature. Check out the three tracks, which he hopes will help you to 'Believe In Your Dreams' too...

Gynoid Audio, one of the few female labels around, started her course in 2010. She's now one of the most prolific labels when it comes to a variety of functional Techno, with focus on drive, mood, dirt and depth. The amount of well-established veterans (both old and new) who released or remixed for the label, or newcomers who saw their career start on Gynoid, is impressive. It also describes why its one of the most charted labels in it's field of operation. To celebrate the mains series 100th release and the continuance of the label we decided to preset a massive VA compilation spanning over three releases.
