Spearheading Freitag's new focus on the subgenres Industrial Techno,
Dark and Raw is Martin Dolgener, a veteran of professional media sound
design since the early '90s. Martin's been a music maker from the age of
twelve, crafting beats using a key-tar and ghetto blaster. In the early
'90s he designed sound for games and other media. The growth of the
internet community allowed him to share his ideas globally, to a very
positive reaction. Since 2012 he has had more than 24 releases
(including three vinyl) he's an exclusive artist for Freitag on their
new recording direction (industrial infused techno). Dolgener's future
plans is to develop his live performance set, things could get interesting.
He's currently serving up a deliciously dark and dirty vinyl including
two amazing remixes from Go!Diva and Knobs. The name of the track 'Rumm
Rumm' captures the warm, embracing bass, which is cut like glass by a
groove driven synth. 'Voluums Edge,' according to Dolgener, expresses
the angst of a soul desperate to see outside the box. Check out the
digital version, which includes the bonus track 'Efunk', a sick dose of
ballsy raw industrial funk, along with another mad remix by Knobs.

Dabit Records is a new deep house, disco tech and club funk label from Max Previti (aka Pat Callaghan), Nick Morris (aka

DJ and producer Nello Nicita), Dave Scott (aka composer David La Maestra), Gilberto DiGioia (a

musician, percussionist and composer) and Joe Addicted (aka Giuseppe Acunzo, sound engineer

and DJ). The team's mission is to release music 'marked by a constant search for elegant and

alternative sounds with a sort of spiritual message addressed to clubs and DJs who are interested in

a different feeling within their sets.' The first EP, Chicago Tune, comes from the Dabit Records coowner

Kick Douglas moniker whilst Apparel boss Kisk provides a special vinyl-only remix.



Opener Sympathy in a Club pairs a warm, fuzzy analogue aesthetics with well-sampled male speech

vocals to cuddly house effect. The tempo is lazy and inviting, there percussion spare and loose and

the bassline gives the track a gentle sense of propulsion. The track also gets a remix by Kisk, aka

Apparel Music owner Giuseppe D'Alessandro, and it is even more late night, jazzy and romantic.

Next, Klaas (Back to 90s) is a more immediate and kinetic deep house construct with rich dubby

undercurrents and interesting melodic hooks. Simple but effective, it's no pastiche of days gone by as

the name might suggest, rather a forward looking cut rich with house history.

Chicago Vibes is great piece of groove science with real and loose sounding hi hats skating over a

rolling kick drum and gentle smattering of toms and congas. Raw for sure, it's a classy house warm

up tune that will get floors filling in no time.

An emphatic debut for this new label that suggests great things are ahead.

The Dabit label is aiming to offer up new experiences in house and techno, and for the second
release turn to someone who has proved he knows how to do that in the past, namely Alex Agore.
On labels like 4Lux and Say Ahh! Agore has laid down his own blend of garage and house to a
warm reception.

His 'Reach For Me EP' opens with the title track, a vibey floor filler with slinky hi hats and a classic
diva vocal bouncing between tight, pinging kick drums. Simple but hugely effective and done in
style, it's a bona-fide bomb.

'Tall & Handsome' is up next. This one drives forward that bit more purposefully with expertly
crafted synths whizzing around the meaty beats of the track. They light it up from behind and
imbue it with plenty of future soul, and that's before the 90s-tastic piano stabs and chopped vocal
cries join in the fun: the floor will be on fire in the presence of this one.

Finally, 'He Will Always Be There' is a kinetic brew of bold basslines, fulsome kicks and
unashamedly good time pianos that douse the whole track in a jazzy warmth form start to finish.

A more accessible house EP you will find it harder to unearth, but that's not to say there isn't plenty
of invention and proud production in everything to which Agore puts his name... As such, a great
job from Dabit on just their second release

Davide Carbone is an Acid Dark Industrial Techno artist whose latest vinyl EP— put out by Freitag's new Acid Techno focus sublabel on vinyls, Freitag Dots— is a decadent dish served up with acid dub elements, deep drones, industrial influences and found sounds so raw , you can feel them happening beside you. The track titles manifest a gentle mockery of organized religion: 'Each title is a way to jeer at things I think are ridiculous about human society,' says David.

'The title of the EP refers to the malicidium, a practice used by the church in the middle ages for justifying the killing of the enemies of the church by accusing them of witchcraft. We really haven't moved beyond that; those in power are able to change the rules, and most of what we think we know is actually fake.'

So what inspires these rich, distorted tracks, deliciously garnished with industrial, sci-fi, and raw 'found' sounds

'I love listening to music that inspires me to do something different. I like to make distorted music because of my influences. Lately more people have been producing clear music, but my view of doing music is to make noise and create damage in the brain with powerful bass that you can feel inside yourself when you're in the club. I don't like to follow trends. I do music to make me feel good when I'm dancing.'

Carbone's favourite book is The Art of Noise by Luigi Russolo, a futurist musician and poet, born in 1883: 'In my opinion he was the true forerunner of the music I do now.'

Chris Page is a rising talent within the London techno scene. We are very happy to have him on micro.fon with this 12"/digital EP. 3 techno tracks of its own kind. raw, dark, groovy and minimal. Chris has several strong releases under his belt, featuring heavily on labels such as Affin, BCR, Sonntag Morgen and Decoy. With remixes from people such as Mattias Fridell, Thomas Hessler, Rebekah & Blawan, this has firmly putting him on the radar of the techno world elite. He holds a residency at VOID in London, and has had the privilege of playing at Tresor in Berlin.

Label boss, Erphun's artist album, 'Reflections' is the inspiration behind our third installment of the Brood Audio remix series. The original album was released in early 2012 and although it portrayed a different, slightly lighter, chilled out and artistic side of Erphun, this pack here is nothing short of a heavy arsenal for any underground Techno after-hour club.



For this reason, we are happy to feature three of today's most cutting edge Techno artists, Black Asteroid, CLR artist and remixer of Depeche Mode's new album, DJ Emerson, another CLR artist and big supporter of Brood and one of Japan's finest & most talented artists, Ryuji Takeuchi!

Here comes the second part of our french team Lowkey & Kardinal's Electrovino series !
The first part is nicely rockin' the floors around the globe and found it's way into many cases (or better said file-lists) of many Djs from small to big!
The second part follows the path with another rocker called OROBORUS (the name taken from an ancient greek tale of a dragon eating his own tail !) with a kind of Tech-Housy but Techno bangin' feel to it, bringing back the old Casio organ sound.
Followed by two versions of INDIAN SUMMER, one in it's more smoother original version and the second in a very nice prime time Techno version by Kardinal himself !

The prodigal prince of flying fauna. The illegitimate child of Zeus, whose lingering melodies have enchanted man anonymously since the dawn of time,
only to explode into the psyche now with deep, thundering, bass-hooves of fury.

Once again WAAP are coming up with some strong deephouse on vinyl. Spain's Oscar Barilla has the groove, somewhere in between his releases for kling klong, plastic city, Musik gewinnt Freunde or parquet he comes up with an interesting two tracker. One side is a beautiful fluffy deep house moover. The other side is pure techno. Is it detroit or chicago Is it day or night Is it minimal or techhouse Dont know and doesn't matter, the essence is a very organic product that helps for the deeper and for the harder moments, what ever weapon you choose for the moment. Like most of WAAP's releases, a good groove is making you dance the charming way, deep and powerful. When you are in desperate need for some fluffy whips on a saturday night club floor, this is the right medicine.

Distorted Reality is the 3rd installment in Myles Serge's (MS) series. This time the mood is smooth and funky with all the ingredients that
you would expect from Myles. For and added treat KAWL front man Lee Holman brings his own twist of flavor to the table.

Just 14 years old Cologne native Tim Engelhardt is gifted with talent and skills others won´t reach within decades. After his remix debut on the new vinyl-label "Playmusic Productions", headed by Andreas Lindemann, Tim comes up with his first solo release including 3 Tracks for showing us what the definition of deep house really means. A perfect fusion of groovy soundscapes, rhythmic percussions, melodic piano hooks and epic synth pads is just the basic description of the complex timeless sounds he did. This kid gots real potential being a big one in the future, we should definitely keep an ear on it ...

Freitag's latest slab of vinyl, The Truth :

a personal, straight from the heart EP from Dead Sound & Videohead, joined by a notoriously brilliant singer-composer and remixer , the Horrorist.

Techno, reminiscent of the Industrial Techno emerging in the UK in the '80s and '90s , and EBM, a genre that includes live performances, vocals, and analog synthesizers.

It's a sexy, tactile subgenre with full of possibilities.

The 'Rough Time in Life ' Ep was created in a basement studio that provided the perfect ambience for working through the 'no program , no agenda' dark stuff and leaded to

Techno with a Punk aesthetic: 'The Truth' .

'I guess if you were going to murder someone, you'd want that track as background music'. (Dead Sound)



A highly influential artist: The Horrorist, the remixer of 'The Truth' has been working on an EBM version of the original , by holding the Techno flair to it. He used the Eurorack modular system that he'd built on his own , as well his Noise Engineering Ataraxic Translatron digital module for the bassline and his beloved Ensoniq ESQ-1 for the pad sounds, as a homage to New Beat. For various fills and effects the vocals went through a Make Noise Phonogene.



This special blend of Industrial Techno and EBM are not just a flash in the pan but rather the direction where Freitag wishes to pursue in future recordings.
