It's no secret that Jay Lumen is a top name when it comes to storming the sales
charts. His tracks seem to be the choice of a multitude of djs all over the globe and
his last release in OFFSPIN wasn't an exception. We couldn't wait to get a sequel
from him and here he delivers an amazing set of dancefloor bombs well worth the
wait.
"The Reason" starts the party working his trademark house groove with a fat bassline
and suggestive speech vocals. Synth stabs and strings complete all the elements for
a crowd favourite, as always the breakdown drives intensity up a notch too. This gem
comes in two versions, adding a "Take Me Back To Chicago" remix where Jack does
his trick. Dirty 909 chicago beats, big synth bass and a whole vibe that will take you
back to the golden days of the windy city's sound.
"Flawless Fever" gets deeper into tech house territory with a pulsating techno bass
and mind bending synth arpeggios and arrangements to lead the track into another
huge breakdown, indeed another peak house monster from Jay.
We are very happy to have him back as OFFSPIN continues to grow as a dj favourite
on its own right.

Time for more crazy and beautiful analogue acid goodness on this 3rd vinyl release presented by the AcidWorx crew. The label has announced that the artist/s behind these acid pieces are currently unidentified, but we might find out who he/she/they are when the digital release of this is announced...one day. Right now, it's vinyl only !

Having been a fan of Reelow for, well, as long as we care to remember, we are really proud to present you his new outstanding EP on Cellaa Music. Now residing on Ibiza, Reelow has enjoyed yet another successful year. With the talent taking a back seat, its the music hogging the spotlight and rightly so. Two new Tracks and two massive Remixes that look to the past whilst sitting firmly in the present.

- Leave Me Alone' riding on massive percussion and a tough house beat, with this tough Drums and drunken, wubby Sounds it is running right through its core. Plenty of sonic details flesh out the languorous but slightly groove and you'd imagine this Track is to be the sort of many Artits will love.

- Your Crowd' is again about little tiny details and how they evolve with time. This one take you on a voyage of natural rhythms and big Drums. Developing from harmonic FX Sounds and a infectious groove, the track is full of surprises as it twists and turns into different sounds that come and go to take it further than the dancefloor.

The first of the remixes comes from the in form, Massimo Cassini. He team up with a hypnotic rework of - Leave Me Alone' that demonstrates just why he is one to keep a close eye on as he gears up on the production front. Massimo is delivering a muscular house bomb, carefully placed FXs and a nice and catchy line to make this a dancefloor mover.

Next we have Cellaa Music Co Founder Martin Heyder providing a soulful tech house surrogate to the original of - Your Crowd'. His remix has a deeper houseier twist with a smooth 303 pad sound and a concrete percussive arrangement to convey a fantastic production.

Die MOVE in Frankfurt hat sich als Veranstaltungsreihe in den letzten drei Jahren durch akribische Kreativ-Arbeit in der urbanen und schnelllebigen Frankfurter Techno Szene als Institution entwickelt und nachhaltig verwurzelt.
Bescheidene und doch innovative First-Class bookings, außergewöhnliche Dekorationen, Tänzerinnen und Tänzer und nicht zuletzt das eingeschworene MOVE Resident Team begeistern allmonatlich die Besucher und lassen die Welt für einen bewegenden Augenblick still stehen.

Anlässlich des dreijährigen Bestehens fängt diese Compilation den charakteristischen Sound und den gelebten Spirit der MOVE auf einem Tonträger ein. Darin präsentieren sich die Resident-DJ´s, liveacts und Produzenten mit ihren individuellen, exklusiv für die Compilation erschaffenen Werken. Die musikalische Bandbreite reicht von intensivem Dark Techno bis hin zu clubbigem Peaktime Techno. Für die Compilation konnten die beiden international erfahrenen Techno-Produzenten Gayle San und Brian Sanhaji gewonnen werden. Sie ergänzen mit ihren Produktionen ein authentisches Gesamtwerk, welches als Start-Up für einen Clubabend aber auch zur Hochphase in jedem Technoherz den passenden Beat in den Adern pulsieren lässt. Die Compilation steht gleichzeitig für den Start-Up des neuen MOVE eigenen Labels (MOVE Records). When it comes to top class releases produced by artists who were already
being brilliant when some of us weren't even born, it doesn't get any
more legendary than the great Oliver Lieb.

Renowned and gaining heavy respect for former projects like Spicelab,
The Ambush, Paragliders, L.S.G. and remixing the likes of Moby, Yello,
Human League; Sydney label Elektrax Recordings is proud to present the
electronic bigfoot to it's label with a 4-track release, called 'The
Prophet EP'.

The title track is a hypnotic affair, with dreamy pads layering over a
stabby, dark droney percussion, which is surely to work on the floor.
2nd track on the EP, 'Disease Carrier', takes the bull by its horns, and
instantly draws you into its darkness. With it's oldschool feel, it's
sure to carry over the disease of dancing over to the dancefloor.
'Fatal' kicks off side B, it's high-pitched stabs and 'Plastikman'-like
percussion patterns are a sure shot to mayhem in any club. Lining up for
the remix, and also completing this piece of wax, is the even so
legendary mr Angel Alanis. Taking the title track 'The Prophet' into
deeper waters, he delivers a somewhat more dubby approach to the
original, making it an awesome build up track to a peak time set.

Mirco Niemeier - Poise 

Boredom is a word that does not exist in Mirco Niemeier's vocabulary. After the opening of the Berlin Wall, he took the chance to taste open minded music from all over the world, which brought him to be an actor of the scene later on as well. Percussions and atmospheres are the cornerstones of his deep tech sounds with melancholy leads, always without loosing the focus on the groove and a positive mood. His new EP 'Poise' on Style Rockets closes that circle again and puts a spell on you with its deep sounds and groovy beats.

A deep bassline pushes the title track 'Poise' throughout its six and a half minutes and is backed by groovy vocal snippets and straight claps and percussions. A little more melodic is the second track called 'Float', which is playing with more synthesizers; but still Mirco's style existing with cutted vocals and lots of effects can be heard at any time.

Mirco Niemeier already released on labels like PlayWithUs, Parquet Recordings, Finnschallplatten and DAMM Records. In Style Rockets he finds a new home with 'Poise' and enjoys to fully express his musical taste. It's time for a new chapter of sophisticated electronic music from the capital of Techno. The New Sound Of Berlin!

so give us a pat on the back: five years and still alive - maybe was a rule once, but not any more. the idea always was to leave our mark: this is our credo. and thus it is also continued in 2009 cheerfully.

Following up on their massive OFF debut from last summer, Leftwing & Kody deliver another heavy dose of 90ies inspired garage & bass-house goodness.

"You Were" is a clean and stripped back peaktime tool, relying on it's catchy and energetic synth/bass-hookline.

"Burning Up" uses similar ingredients but gives more room to a massive vocal and a full-on groove. Coat Of Arms strips down "Burning Up" to a futuristic deephouse tune.
