Taste Of Honey is proud to present the true sound of the early 80': Change was an Italian-American post-disco group formed in Bologna, Italy in 1979 by businessman and executive producer Jacques Fred Petrus (1949-1986), Mauro Malavasi and Davide Romani. They were heavily influenced by legendary disco band Chic. In this release we can listen the original "Got To Get Up" (1983) plus a very clubby remix by Re-Tide (Taste Of Honey's Crew). The old sound and the new sound in one vinyl: born in 1983, evolved in 2014!

For the second installment of our Brood Techno series, we decided to do something a little different and outside the box. We at Brood Audio believe in order to excel one needs to get out of their comfort zone and take risks. That is exactly what Erphun envisioned when he decided to pair up his artists and have them collaborate on a new track for the compilation.
To our delight, all artists involved immersed themselves into the project with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.

'Buster Crabbe & Buck Rogers' is an insperational interpretation of heros of
the 25th century. Buster Crabbe, is also known as the legendary Flash
Gordon, who represents the science-fiction hero Buck Rogers. Buck fights a
number of villains from the mars and the outer space and we get a musical
insight in the task of Buck Rogers. The piece is dominated by the piano and
a thrilling bass line similar to the fight with his arch-rival Killer Kane.
We hope the good will win against the intented world domination of Killer
Kane...

Welcome Nr.2! Tiefenherz freut sich mit dem Erfurter Urgestein Sven U.K.
seine erlesene Reihe an House Releases fortzuführen. Wir erhalten einen
Einblick in das demnächst erscheinende Album von Sven, welcher sich seit dem
Jahre 2011 unter R:eboerk einen Namen gemacht hat.

'Save the Thrill' ist die Ansage! Nervenkitzel pur im Arrangement - korrekt
platzierte Bläser werden getragen von ausgefeilten Percussions und ergänzt
von fordernden Vocals. Schöner druckvoller House mit leicht detroitigen
Einflüssen und gekonnt komplettiert von Piano Riffs.

'Buster Crabbe & Buck Rogers' ist die Inspiration für die Interpretation des
Superhelden im 25.Jahrhundert. Buster Crabbe, welcher sich auch als
Darsteller des legendären Flash Gordon einen Namen machte, verkörpert die
Person des Science-Fiction Helden Buck Rogers. Buck ist im Kampf gegen die
Tigermenschen vom Mars und allerlei Bösewichte aus dem Weltraum schwer
vereinnahmt und wir bekommen einen musikalischen Einblick in die Aufgaben
Buck Roger's. Das Stück wird dominiert von einer Piano Hook und einer
durchdringenden Bassline die sich unaufhörlich in die Magengrube gräbt,
ähnlich wie ein Handgemenge was Buck Rogers mit seinem Erzrivalen Killer
Kane ausfechtet. Wir hoffen das Gute siegt gegen die angestrebte
Weltherrschaft von Killer Kane...

Argy returns to Memento after remixing Italys' house stars Pastaboys, this time teaming up with one of the country's hottest and internationally renowned producers, Alex Picone.

The two of them have released on some of the most revered contemporary record labels: from Cocoon to Cadenza, from Defected to Poker Flat, from Ibadan to Bosconi Records, the list goes on.

Their two-tracker opens with 'Eternal Moment': after an epic old-school synth intro, the booming kick drum leads the way to a galloping acid rumble and to an orgy of claps and hi hats, until the vicious vocal snippets welcome the uplifting and joyous melody.

'This Is How It Goes' follows the same path with sick percussions and hi hat's frenzy, while the bass line and the synth play along harmonically. Sudden breaks give a sense of suspended groove, cleverly designed to bring the rhythm back soon after in a burst of energy.

The guys here are showing their impressive skills in crafting this ambitious ep: after just one listen, it's clear how these tunes stand out from the ordinary mess it's more and more likely to find in the market today. With a hint to house music's history and legacy, they have reworked the genre's distinctive features, making them as fresh and cutting edge as they haven't been in a long time.

For the label's 14th release, Memento welcomes the collaboration of Italy's finest house enthusiasts Pastaboys, who bring their love of dance music's black roots and afro-american soul sounds, combined with an exquisite european-influenced sense of rhythm and melodies. "Tresca" evolves around a sweet italo-disco bass that sends the listener back to the 70s: a soundtrack to a sleazy underground movie, with nightmare-ish synth chords in the background. Strong claps and percussion build the tension up to a Donna Summer-esque break, leading the track to an anthemic climax ready to shake the asses of all the party people out there. Argy's remix adds loopy vocal samples while making the bass more muscular and playing with retro-sounding big-room house synths, perfectly matching the spirit of the original cut but at the same time taking it to the next level. A specta cular two-tracker, which stands out as a devoted tribute to the legacy that shaped the history of house and disco music, from turning inspiration into a brilliant and contemporary piece of work.

Newcomer Chi Thanh returns to his home at OFF with a stunning new EP.

The title song STONE combines elements of 90s house, hypnotic vocals and even a hip-hop break is in full effect in the breakdown. The song describes the feeling we all know to well, 'getting lost in the moment, forgetting to go home, and experiencing an overdose of emotions that touch the heart, body and soul

'Hotel d'Amour' is a sexy and deep track with a pulsating bass and a playful rhodes-line. The robotic voice is looking for love in all the wrong places to finally have some peace of mind..

- Nocturn' is best desribed by the feeling u get when u drive through a city alone at night all the while having the arpeggios from the variosu synth put u into a nocturnal state of mind.

Since bursting on to the scene 5 years ago, German agency Jackmode has caused quite a stir with their party-
starting sensibilities and keen ear for a dancefloor gem. What's more, they've also introduced a wealth of new

2013 has witnessed a lot of OFF's prodigal sons grow steadily into the global scene, joining new ventures and breaking a lot of boundaries. This is the case of hyperenergetic London duo Leftwing & Kody, who took the charts by storm with their impressive EP's "Bump & Flex" and then again with "You Were" becoming one of the label's favourites and later went on to release outstanding tracks and remixes on the likes of Exploited, Stil Vor Talent or Anjuna Deep while also keeping the stamina up to launch their own label Lost. OFF053 - Marlon Hoffstadt & Dansson - Hot Strings

OFF Recordings jumps back to its headquarters and brings on the young talented production duo of Berlin-based Marlon Hoffstadt and Dansson. Sounding promising with releases already scheduled on Play It Down and Stil Von Talent, they prove their potential by delivering one dancefloor bomb in this new single.



"Hot Strings" might suggest a 90's string-dominated typical track, but this one is not at all the case. Its a deep-hop-funk sounding tune with a driving hypnotic rap vocal that provides a unique vibe. The track's simplicity of elements leaves room for a heavy funked bassline and leads that give you that proper ghetto feeling. Truly another deep house essential by OFF.





OFF054 - Vanilla Ace - Musicology EP

London based Vanilla Ace is shaping up a brilliant 2013 for himself, and he shows his peak of inspiration in this OFF recordings new delivery.



This outstanding EP starts with "Musicology", funky-deep groove, smart sampling and again a tight bassline make one of those tunes meant to stick in your head when you leave the club.
