Words cannot describe how happy I am to finally return with my own music. It took me a long time to overcome my depressing state and to be able to be creative again.

I think every artist knows how it feels when you are blocked and cannot do music anymore, it is a very sad and frustrating feeling…. .

I am very relieved to be back now with two new tracks. Hope you like them.

Charlotte de Witte, without doubt one of Belgium's fastest rising talents in the techno circuit, and known from two strong EP's on Tiga's Turbo label, makes her debut on OFF.

The EP starts off with 'Trip', aptly name due to its cinematic sound design and arrangement. Charlotte's trademark use of vocals ooze character, and haunting synths complemented by a laidback but steady drum-foundation are the ingredients of this track.

Sweden's Techno-legend Cari Lekebusch delivers the first remix, a functional and linear interpretation, which is sure to be heard on festival dancefloors during the late summer.

TWR72 of Amsterdam, themselves very much what you would call a 'current breakthrough act', are responsible for remix number two, a contemporary interpretation based on syncopated rhythms.

The EP is completed with 'Repeat', a reduced drum-tool built around a repetitive vocal hook.

Altogether a strong statement of a promising young artist and another proof of the ongoing evolution of OFF Recordings.

Based in Amsterdam - Transvorm is an outfit run by Dutch artists El Mundo and Mulder. The aim of the project is simple: to touch on myriad shades of dance music while keeping things firmly rooted in the principles of timeless House & Techno.

The first release comes courtesy of Mulder himself and evinces this core principle as the title track 'Burnin' brings together 80s synths, syncopated drums and an earworm vocal. 'Move Away' also works from a class House rubric with its Jazz-tinged chords, dusty drum work and vocal snips.

Some vintage strings bleed in to kick off a second phase of the track before an esteemed member of the French House elite - Franck Roger - brings things to a close. Shades of dub and a raw, punchy groove are rendered to a crisp finish as the first chapter in an enlivening new project is brought to a close.

The Purist is a new label run by Dstm.

It's a project based on the pure side of techno.

The second release comes from Müzmin, a talented Oakland-based Dj and Producer.

Australia label Maru returns, this time with “Middle Way Ep” by Octave including remixes by friends Pattern Tusk and mtps. On this Ep, each original complete each other, creating a warm cosmic atmosphere while the remixes maintain their texture taking you further on your journey. We are happy to welcome yet another new face to our ever growing artist roster, though Rico Puestel is definitely not an unknown name for fans of electronic music! Rico is - amongst many other things - a trained pianist, a self-trained guitarist, a drummer, a musicologist, a Zappa enthusiast, a struggler, a neurotic, a martyr of art and, most-notably: A genuine, perpetually driven music producer! Gregor has been a fan of Rico´s music for years, and - being blown off his socks by his recently released full length album Obi Thine Xi - had to ask Rico for some original music to be released on Break New Soil. Et voila: „Afar“ landed in our mailbox like a beacon of light in these dark times for club culture! On top of the three outstanding original tracks, we couldn´t be happier to have Alexander Kowalski working his magic on „Axioms". Once again, Alexander delivered an example to underline his status of being one of the most in-demand producers in the realm of modern electronic music! To round things off we are stoked to present a full-on peaktime rework of „Afar“ by the duo of the moment that is Joyhauser! We believe we have quite the package for you to enjoy!
