A1 written by a familiar face of the scene. For years he has been leaving impressions of fine workmanship and we are sure that we have chosen something that truly reflects him. We are talking about the Imprints / Propersound label boss, Domenico Rosa.

A2 created by Alessandro De Padova aka Deyayu. He is certainly one of the most surprising surprises of recent years and after scoring
several EP’s alone, we are delighted to welcome him into our reality.

B1 composed by the label's captains, Andrea and Luigi. Year after year they are building and bringing their sound to a specific dimension. The temperatures will be like those of the tropics.

B2 belongs to the only rookie in terms of record release, Eros.
His family has always chewed music and this has allowed him to receive solid foundations since childhood. It's no coincidence if we use this adjective to describe his music : “erotic”.

Relics Vol.1 marks the beginning of a new chapter in our dark and deep journey.

As an opening act, developing close to our concept, we are honoured to bring you a compilation of four artists, rich in dark written compositional history. Wizzards of the shadows casting dark musical joruneys for the public, teaming up to enhance the deepness of the craft in a specific profound vibe for a special cause.

On A side we have Herck, casting a jazzy deep groove about Lady Lydia and RQZ, with a high-octane minimal vibe for hooking up the minds of the listeners on the dance floor.

On B side we have Cim Pian, morphing the semiotics of minimal poetry and Escu & Salishteanul philosophizing the fundamentals of rhythmics.

Following a masterful release from SWOY, Sounds of Sirius Music presents their first Various Artist Compilation SOSNZ007 – “Harmony of the Spheres”. Wrapping up 2023 with top notch underground music, joins the musical dots between talented and free-spirited artists working across the globe.

In this edition we have close friends and supportive artists from Sounds Of Sirius, including none other than Mihai Pol (Romania), rising Chilean talent Nibaaldo (Chile), brotherly duo Clay and Heath Ostrer aka Last Pines (UK) and Sevillian talent Alvaro Lamet aka Enzo Leep (Spain).

Harmony of the spheres is a philosophical concept highlighting proportions of the celestial bodies and their movements– the Sun, Moon and planets – as a form of music. These comic mathematical relationships express qualities or "tones" of energy which manifest in numbers, visual angles, shapes and sounds.

The collaboration of these talented artists has resulted in a unique and captivating new release. Wooka from France, known for his live performance, minimalistic and sonorous symphonies in this included track, has combined his skills alongside Nick Beringer from Berlin, a renowned producer and label owner of Rubisco. Together with Submod from Leipzig, known for their rich basses and striking tracks and label owners of Vaertism, they have created this diamond of a Track in collaboration with Shuray & Walle that redefines the boundaries of electronic music.
Akyra & Juzz, local artists from Zurich, contribute their spherical rhythms and driving beats to create the perfect synergy between different styles and influences.

The symbol on side A is a more than 3000y old Chinese letter signifying "dance", probably a shamanic dance for the gods or a rain dance.

The illustrations on side B are both from France, the menhir is the "Dame de Saint Sernin" and the bison "de la Madeleine".

Concerning the music, take a break and relax

This time, they’re featuring another fellow Ukrainian talent – Victor.B. As you may already know, he’s one of the best live acts in Ukraine (in my opinion), so his tracks are always highly anticipated.

The one we’re diving into today, “Robato,” is a minimalist electro piece loaded with A LOT of vocoders. It sounds like a perfect tool to me. I heard it live, and I can guarantee you – on a great soundsystem, it’ll sweep you away for the entire six minutes.

Another B-side gem with a Japanese name, “Yoshimitsu,” continues the vibe perfectly. The buzz in this one might be even more intense than in our premiere. Pick your weapon. On the flip side, “Remember” reveals a different side of Victor.B with its pace and almost trance-like groove, maintaining a gloomy house vibe and no “rave in the forest” elements here. “Bio10,” the final track in this review, is a bit more subdued yet still lively and very dancefloor-driven.

I love GFR because it gives me that outlet to vent my harder side of studio work, it's always going to have a lot more grit as to what I'd maybe release on other labels, you'll know its still me just more or less grit so I'm grateful for these platforms because I can definitely be both ways in the studio & I like that I can get it all out there.

Uncertain times, dissident forms of thinking, evolving world orders are common characteristics of the earth today. MixCult Records unveils a new sub division of forthcoming releases under the name of TAMIZDAT, which in Russian TAM means “there” (as a reference of an aboard, western location), and IZDAT means “to publish”. It was the name for banned books and magazines published "there", that is, abroad.

The complete name of this sub label makes a reference to the Soviet epoch where lots of Russian writers who were insurgents of the regime started to publish their works in the West. These works were restricted in the Soviet Union. The underground movement now continues to move forward with music, dedicating this space to those innovative artists that work their craft as a gift to the world with no boundaries.

The first release is an EP that reveals the works of Defaultman and Sapurra. For the lovers of dance-club Dub Techno, this one is a must have.

For release number 5 on vinyl-only label and blog, Bare Bones Wax enlist a couple of new artists to their roster. Valencia based Camiel Daamen offers up two original tracks, while Berlin based Johannes Ortlieb offers up a remix of both compositions. Over his active 24 years, Camiel has released on various labels such as In-house , Viva and Origins alongside many others. Last year also saw the start of his own Freeborn Records which included the release of his own Beatport top 10 smash “Ready For Love”. Johannes has releases on mainstays such as Al Bradley’s 3AM label and Fluid.

Up first on the A1 is the title track “Quintaesencia”, Camiel blends deep beats with swing fuelled hats and Garage licks alongside an uplifting vocal to create a dancefloor monster. On the A2 Johannes takes a modern Deep House feel interlacing the subbase and vocals with cracking affect. Over on the flip “Make Music” opts for a more techy feel with driving beats and a spoken vocal giving a nice pumping feel. Johannes second remix of “Make Music” finishes off the EP taking the track in a tougher Deep House direction that could have come straight from New York.
