The small Ukrainian label PERSUOL is back with a great 4 track EP!

Co-founder of Lisiere Collectif, and self-confessed synth geek ardb reveals his alter ego focused on repetitive sounds, trancey motifs and the true rulers of this planet, cats.

These four tunes combine a raw toolkit vibe with the softness of late night ambient excursions and a sense of twisted serenity, all feline qualities inspired by Mitzy the cat, as the two navigated together last year’s pandemic inside a small apartment in Bucharest.

The fourth pressing to arrive from the Romanian imprint feeder sound is titled “Mirror Time EP” and features three intriguing cuts signed by Mihai Dinu aka Bucurie. Well-known in the international scene for his collaborations with Depth Over Distance, Otaku, Stamp Records, Hubble Recordings, Honne Music as well as for his independent releases on Bandcamp, the local DJ and producer brings forward a distinct sound which blends his deepest thoughts and feelings with hypnotic and vibrant microhouse or minimal techno music.

The artwork for this 12’’ was carefully created by Maria Bălan as a part of the label’s ongoing live streaming events which brings together musicians and visual artists in order to connect the two different creative fields, expand beyond their borders and deliver fresh cultural alternatives.

With Dragutesku, Piktor and Oana being the ones that so far contributed to the catalogue, feeder sound stands on solid grounds, enjoying the support of a worldwide movement which can interact with the platform in numerous ways. Bucurie’s productions have been noticed by the team for quite some time now so this record was a natural step to follow after his participation on the podcast series, the exclusive premieres and the EP Review sections, as well as on one of the live streams.

Side A is reserved for “Spacefunk”, a wobbling uplifting journey designed with a solid bassline, steady-paced percussion and eerie ever-evolving background effects. The reverberations and the subtle intertwined textures create a mysterious feeling, like being lost in space and letting the spiralling sounds to guide your path.

On Side B we find “El espacio” rolling with a warm vibration built with a prominent broken beat that elegantly merges with euphoric melodies and bright progressive arrangements while “The call” closes the EP with a driving dubby sound. Here, the atmosphere appears to be dimmer, being lead by delayed notes, subtle maritime chords and spacious breakdowns.

The Romanian producer known as Dirty Culture represents a distinctive, dense, atmospheric sound and a crunchy rhythm section. On the B side is a soft and thoughtful remix from SCSI-9, as well as a dance and experimental remix from the founder and head of "House Dessert Records" - Artem Shpist. In general, the release has an eclectic sounds.

Spanish artists Jay Nortown and Jacobo Saavedra aka JNJS delivering the next installment of MOVIN'. The collaboration of these two talents has produced top releases on many highly respected labels and gained support of industry leading acts. Snork Enterprises goes back to the future. For this one-of-a-kind
release we decided to skip a few catalogue numbers and go straight to #1000'. Because nothing less than those four big blocky letters could describe the boldness of this record
containing the most groundbreaking tracks of the 1990s underground techno scene by one of the most snorky and most famous artists:

MR. NEIL LANDSTRUMM.
Quoting him: It's an ep of some of the most influential tracks of the alternative UK techno sound from the 1990s. The UK school of techno was wildly different to the more accepted Detroit techno imports of the time, gnashing its teeth to an altogether more alternative and cracked out beat. The whole point of it was to sound as different and unique as possible. Standing out was the 'thing' then, not the business techno of today.'In the spirit of a time, which was bursting with energy, Snork Enterprises was founded. And
exactly those tracks have had a major impact on the further development of the unique snorky label sound. The following statement by the label owner CHRISTIAN SCHACHTA makes it
crystal clear:
For me this release is highly emotional because it reflects the very roots of Snork Enterprises. Neil was one of the artists who have influenced the sound of the label the most, and especially those four tracks have always belonged to my top favorite ones. As soon as I sensed there was a chance of putting them altogether on one record as a re-release, I could not withhold myself but give it a try and finally and fortunately publish one of the most important Snork Enterprises releases of all times - for the label and for me personally.

From it's humble beginnings in a sleepy Canadian town formerly known as New Berlin (Kitchener, Ontario) to it's current home in Berlin proper, the label has grown to become a nurturing launch pad for artists from around the globe, and one of the most dependable and consistent providers for those in search of deep minimal funk of the house and techno persuasion. Much like Shannon himself, each and every release in the label's now vast catalog reveals itself with unhurried, confident class, and always with a wink and a wry smile.

In celebration of the label's 20th anniversary, Shannon has amassed another peerless collection of tracks from his nearest and dearest which, much like every banger in the back catalog, are certain to become permanent fixtures in record bags of DJs with an ear for taking dance floors straight down the rabbit hole for many years to come.

The latest Still Hot release comes from label boss Benny Grauer himself. The release is called "Move On" and contains 3 original tracks and a great Gorge remix.

The two originals "Move On" and "Harmonic Resonance" are groovy deep house tunes, carried by stabs and chords and a deep bassline. As a DJ, Benny Grauer likes to play Detroit and Dub-Techno, which also influences his productions.

Gorge has produced many very successful tracks in the last month. He gave Harmonic Resonance his own melodic style.

Friends of the black gold can already look forward to the deep and dub-influenced track Interference.

Love Manifesto, our 3rd vinyl only release, is Robert David's artistic expression, and an introspection in the meaning of Love. What is love in all it's forms, how we accept or deny it, how society can change the meaning of it and deform it. This is a very special project in which the artist crossed over the realms of sound by creating a painting that was done in paralel with the original tracks, absolutely with no intention of becoming the cover of the project. But somehow it fitted perfectly. With the Minimal and the Romanian sound being at the root of the project, the 2 remixes from Argenis Brito and Macarie, complete the picture and the trip in which we invite you to dive in and hopefully enjoy the "madness" of it, as we did.

CÉRÉMONIE is a collective, movement and label from Turkey, which was founded by Maguar. KARMA 001 will be the first release of this project and you can find 16 unique tracks from 16 talented artists.

The name "KARMA" is coming from beloved CÉRÉMONIE family member cat, who lost her life last year.

NBASTWAX013 marks a return to HDSN´s roots with a new approach towards modern house music and owes a debt to the classic sound from New York, Chicago and Detroit. The title track “For My People" opens the release, encapsulating the spirit of classic deep house with an impressive attention to detail and insistent movement. Its a future deep house anthem featuring a deeply effective piano hook over a powerful House backdrop with a a rib shaking sub bass, utilizing soaring 303’s and soulful sprinkling vocals - stripped back House at it´s finest. Next up is “Werk Ya Body” which applies reverb soaked piano chords, sweeping synth shots and effortlessly shuffling drum programming that maintains captivation for the listener throughout. On the flip is “Life Is Good” that creates a beautifully flowing dynamism combining a positive piano hook with pounding drums & unfaded strings to maximum effect setting the mood for an uplifting house thomper. Closing the release with “Take Care” which is a smooth, dubbed out affair that demonstrates plenty of restraint yet really locks you into it´s hypnotic groove with the distant pulsating synth line which forges the way before an energetic piano and powerful vocals reset the system. After a string of down-low digitally released techno experiments to his name last year, Malmö artist Emotional Ty takes it down a notch for the first vinyl output, leaving room for ambience and thought delivered on four tracker

Austria's Paul Walter comes head to head with Romania's most lyrical imprint, Catren. One track per each side, he doesn't compromise when it comes to quality, emotion and execution.

Reminiscent of earlier days Chilean productions which we need not name but will for melancholy's sake, the A side, "Yuil" takes us back to the days of Hireklon and Waiworinao, thought long forgotten and forsaken in favor of cold and austere expressions. Guitar strings harmonically banded together with minimalistic percussions, handclaps and indescifrable vocals compose what will be remebered as a hall of fame track in the years to come.

"Phobo", on the B Side, takes a more classical approach that will most likely bring back memories as well, catering to a more upbeat style, using poliphonic melodies and a two tone theme that drives the track forward alongside discrete drums and a swingy, fast paced bassline.

Switching to "Hacker", a more light hearted third course relying on dub influenced melodies and mid ranged basslines, Paul shows just exactly how versatile he is and the diversity that he is capable of bringing forward.

And so we come to "Rio", which makes use of constant atmospheric elements, the same technical expertise and thought out demeanor, strung togheter to finish off what is a somewhat abstract and tender "swan song" of the EP. Highly recomended and certified classic, vinyl only.

New Chicago talent comin' atcha with that Banging Chicago House Sound!

Another juicy vinyl from Positive Not Happy, releasing the third ep signed by label owners The Lumens. The title track “Milosky” starts as a high voltage electronic club groove typical of the duo, developing on a straight subtle bassline with airy arpeggios and contemporary acid elements. On the remix task, none less than Federico Molinari delivers a surprising electronic funk gem filled with plenty of synths combined in a top-class cosmic jam. On the B side The Lumens include in the Ep their very first studio joint, “Krember” is a solid spacy track lead by an addictive acid phrase and lush pads for a sure massive crowd reaction. Turin’s rising talent Denaila remixes “Sunrise”, completing the pack with an impressive raw minimalist cut.
